We were in town on our family vacation l. We decided to eat pizza for dinner on the day Of our arrival. Walked in placed our order in the kiddy that is was about to storm. We got our order to go In less than 20 mins. The pizza was awesome cooked perfect and crust was great too! Would definitely recommend this place for pizza.

The worst Italian food I have tasted in my life. My husband and I are here on vacation and decided to try them. I ordered the chicken Alfredo. It comes with a house salad and breadsticks. The Alfredo sauce was not homemade. We were told this was authentic Italian. The sauce tasted like prego or ragu brand. The chicken had no taste. The house salad was brown on most pieces of the lettuce. The ranch dressing was watery. The "homemade" breadsticks had no taste. Waste of money. Don't trust "authentic" or "homemade" on their menu.

If st. Louis had this restaurant they would rule the whole city. All we have there is imos pizza which is the dominant pizza for the city. It's a cracker pizza, terrible. This pizza would put imos out of business in st. Louis. Best I've had in a long time.

Yes they serve breakfast! I first walked into their breakfast competition across the street (begins with an I and ends in a hop) and all I wanted was a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel/croissant etc - they couldn't do it. You had to pick one of their 3 sandwiches which none were this easy staple of a breakfast. My hotel recommend this place and I am so happy they did. The name of this place and other yelp reviews didn't really say if there was breakfast. There is and it's cheap! Less than 5 dollars I got my sandwich and as a bonus it came with hash browns. :) The prices are a few dollars less then their chain competition.

Tonight for dinner we chose pizza and definitely chose a WONDERFUL place! You never know what to expect when vacationing on where to go. The menu offered several Italian dishes, burgers, appetizers, salads, along with an amazing breakfast menu. Something for everyone's appetite. Beverages ranged from water to wine. The table next to us ordered Sangrias. Red wine was delivered with glasses of fresh fruit in them. Though visiting this place at 8 pm, it was comfortably busy. The wait staff did not miss a beat. Our beverages were always refilled b4 empty and our pizza came within 15 minutes...HOT! Definitely a home tossed crust, not thick, not thin. The kids than discovered the dessert...a strawberry cheesecake, and a chocolate cake/moose like covered with chocolate. Both were fantastic! I would without hesitation recommend this place to anyone!

First, I was not greeted when I walked in. I stayed Id like to sit outside. The woman asked, how many? I said 4. She handed me the menus & said seat yourself and pointed that I walk outside the restaurant to get to patio area rather than walk through the restaurant. I walked outside & let myself through the latch door into the patio area & sat down. My waitress, Marcela, came to my table & took my drink order. She promptly brought my water & then disappeared for close to 20 mins. Up to this point I had arrived alone & was sitting alone, waiting for the rest of my group to arrive. When the rest of my group arrived, they looked over menu for awhile & still the waitress hadn't come to the table. Finally one person from my group got up & told one of the waiters we were ready to order. Our waitress came back & took our order which was: bruschetta, individual florentine piZza & house salad with ranch (my dish) mozzarella sticks, & an individual white pizza. The bruschetta & mozzarella sticks came out first. The bruschetta was good, but the mozzarella sticks were amazing. The breading is unique & has a fun texture. Then the pizzas came out & the white pizza was good but the florentine pizza was a little dry, especially the chicken. My salad never came & when we mentioned it to the waiter that came by we told him I didn't want it anymore & that I wanted my salad before my meal not with it or after its half-eaten. He got defensive & said they were really busy. Then the waitress came back and handed me a house salad. I told her I no longer wanted the salad & that I was content with my good. She stated that she didn't charge me & that it was okay. I told her that it wasn't about the money. We finished eating, paid the check & left-- Very unsatisfied

I ate here 3 years ago and for 3 years all could think about was the Greek Brucheta. I was finally in town again today and guess what the food is still amazing. Although it looks like a mom's and pops place this place is a heavy hitter. The food is to die for.

We enjoyed the pizza! The service was great and management was visible, so you know they care!

I was craving pizza. But travelled alone, so I was alone. They do offer an individual pizza. I thought instead I would try the calzone. Wow!! Great flavor, the ricotta cheese was so good with my Chicken! I was so hungry I got s small dinner salad to start. Great portion size. Wonderful crisp lettuce. The bread sticks were out of this world good!!! I had a drink, Calzone, and a salad with breadsticks. I'm uncomfortably full.. On the beach great food, what was the bill???? 13.34. Great price!!

I'll say three stars- and all three are for their BBQ chicken pizza. It is one of the best pizzas I've had.. But their other pizzas are just alright. Good but nothing too impressive. I've heard good things about a few of their other items too, but today I had tried their Greek salad for a light lunch. They put a block of cheese in it and overly huge chunks of vegetables.. so after ten minutes of breaking apart the cheese and cutting up the veggies a little bit more I was finally able to eat it, even then it was still pretty bland :/ overall ill still stop for lunch, but I think I'll be staying away from their salads lol I don't like having to do that much work for something I bought at a restaurant. publix I wouldn't mind, but a restaurant mehhh..

Went in for a late afternoon lunch. Family type restaurant with a Italian/Greek setting. Was not crowded and the ambience was just right. We ordered the Mussels as appetizer which were extremely good. After, Seafood Misto and a Large Gondolier Pizza/Cheese Pizza which was great. Kids ate everything with a superb high note to the fries that came with the Seafood plate. Service was perfect, easy parking, good prices. Overall, nice place. Will be returning.

  • Cassie C.

Pretty disappointed. We tried a pasta dish & gyro. Everything was a let down, soggy and lacking flavor. I'll stick to pizza if we ever decide to try it again. Not white pizza though. It doesn't even have sauce.

  • Dale H.

Good portions. Average food. Crowded in the evening with beach crowd. Service was good. Fried calamaries were good; not too soggy. The meatballs on the pasta had a strong taste that we did not like. Kiddie pizza was large.

    (3)
  • Scott E.

Simple. Pizza was good. I ate the white sause pizza and it was good. Chicken parm was par. Good service and good beer prices. We will eat here again for our take out for sure.

My family and I came across this pizza place by using the Yelp 'near-by' function. The reviews were all raves and it was a nice distance walk from where we parked so it was the perfect spot. We were not disappointed! The prices were extremely reasonable, the food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. We got a nice cozy table in the back and all relaxed and enjoyed the meal immensely. This was a perfect vacation dinner spot.

Great food, great service,1st time there was for breakfast, the house breakfast skillet was delicious with gyro meat feta cheese and scrambled eggs, next was dinner, calamari, veal parm, and lasagna all dishes were great,I will definitely be back.

  • J M.

Went to dinner with another couple and their one year old daughter. Service + food (pizza and killer sticks) were great. I felt like we were eating dinner among family. Hats off to the staff for going above and beyond for us, and for being so welcoming and friendly.

  • Gary M.

Wow....the shrimp linguini was so very delicious. Plenty of shrimp and linguini. I wish my stomach was bigger and I would order another portion. Next day we came there for pizza. Wow.. This restaurant is a hidden gem. Great food, moderate prices....hey, they serve breakfast too.

  • Kaushik B.

Nice casual pizza place. Good quality pizza, laid back atmosphere. Outdoor and indoor seating. Nice staff. I'm not sure why Yelp is showing 2 dollar signs. It was decently inexpensive for pizza and not bad for pasta either.

  • Courtney T.

This place makes you feel like your at home. Staff is welcoming and warm. The have a little bit of everything. The dessert case always makes you drool and want some but your always to full. Was here twice on my recent visit. Once to get a pizza for poolside. It was sort of bland and lacking some flavor. Which was disappointing considering their other Italian items are good. Breakfast was extremely yummy! Breakfast included basics from scrambled eggs to French toast. Hash browns were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I've been here other times and have had other items on the menu and all have been good. It's a good spot to go if you want some Italian in your life.

Our first experience at Gondolier started out rough... We had a run in with the maitre'd over a misunderstanding on where we were being seated. We nearly left over it, but he later apologized and we were glad we stayed. The food was great. I had the lasagna and others in our party had pizza. No complaints on the food, and the prices were reasonable. Our server was very good as well. We will be back to try Gondolier again.

  • Stephanie O.

Awesome menu! They literally have every Greek and Italian dish you can crave. The chicken florentine cannelloni was to die for!!! Entertaining atmosphere with great classic dishes at an affordable price. Very nice wine list to boot!

Visited friends at Belleair Beach, and we went to Gondolier at their recommendation. We were mixed with food and service was disappointing. Server was not pleasant, and seemed to just be there. Appetizers, I am a sucker for good homemade onion rings. For $6.29 you would think they were homemade. I asked the server if there were pre-breaded and frozen, or if they were fresh cut onions and hand breaded. He did not know (bad sign) and he went to kitchen to check. Server came back ans said they were fresh. I ordered and they were frozen. Really ticked now. Marinara sauce used for dipping onion rings needed garlic and herbs, bland. We ordered the House Special pizza, Large 16 inch for $18.99 was good. Liked the thin crust and not chincy on toppings. The Chicken Parm was disappointing. Heavily breaded and bland marinara sauce. I would go back for the pizza.

After my first review, we decided to sit in and eat again in the restaurant. The food was fantastic! The owner somehow knew that we had a bad experience with delivery, and he bought our dinner! Totally unexpected, but very professional! Every dish we have ever had there in the restaurant has been great, and our meal was just that. Great place and great people! We wil always go back as long as we are coming to Clearwater!

    (5)
  • Jill C.

We went with a large group of people and everyone was VERY happy with all their food. The breadsticks and calzones are homemade and delicious. The pizza was also great. My brother had the belgian waffle with eggs and bacon both times we ate there. There are also amazing homemade cannolis! We will surely come back here everytime we are vacationing in Clearwater beach.

Came last week and decided on a whim to try this place out. Ordered the bruschetta, as it's one of my favourite things to eat. It was the absolute best bruschetta I have ever had. The tomatoes were perfectly ripe, and it all tasted so fresh. I will always make sure to visit this place when I am in Florida.

  • Kshama S.

We went there for dinner 10 days ago and ordered alfredo pasta and veggie pizza. Food was amaaazing! Loved the pizza, have had pizza in many italian restaurants, but this one felt very different and refreshing. The only negative point is that, the pasta comes with breadsticks and salad, our waiter conveniently "forgot" to mention that to us. When we pointed that to him, then, as an afterthought he said he will get it for us.By then, we were anyway full and declined it. We went there again the next day for breakfast and the spread was awesome. Our waitress this time was very nice and gave us all the options. This place is a warm family oriented restaurant. We loved it!

  • Amanda F.

Got take out from this restaurant while on vacation. Excellent shrimp linguine and fettuccine alfredo. The white pizza was ok-white pizzas I have had usually have some type of sauce. This one had no sauce at all. Nice employees, too!

  • Joel A.

As the wife put it. Stellar food stellar service. Super fast. We started with the killer sticks and they came out fast. The boys devoured them. The boys ordered a sausage pizza. We maybe should have gotten a small for them. We order the Gondolier special with black olives and mushrooms on the wives half. The waiter joked about the flux capacitor and he wasn't kidding! The pizza came out quick and was very fresh. Not to greasy and very tasty. We also ordered a medium and that was the right choice for us too. Great decor and very inviting atmosphere. Will be stopping for breakfast at some point this week. Cheesecake. REAL. AMAZING.

Pretty good I think our servers name was John we ordered tour of Italy and a pizza and a combo app it all came out great the only slight was our server was not very attentive but the lady up front who I'm guessing is a owner picked up his slack I'll be back for sure

    (4)
  • Scott M.

Frozen patty chicken parm. Boxed pasta. Meat sauce over chicken parmigiana that tasted like it came from a can. Seriously this place needs to think about what they serve.

  • Dave L.

Great pizza! We ate here twice while on vacation. The Stromboli was awesome. My wife and I split the Stromboli and had a slice of pizza - wonderful. Also had a salad which was very fresh. If you are on the area this place is a must!

    (5)
  • Ashley F.

Great little family style Italian restaurant. Service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. They have a huge menu, so there's definitely something for everyone. I had the lobster ravioli and it was awesome! Get the bruschetta too. Yum!!

  • Carl M.

Our food was good. The service was excellent. Every worker in the restaurant was friendly and helpful. All the employees worked together to serve us and make sure our visit was excellent. I had pizza, spouse had shrimp linguini. Huge menu selection, typical of Greek restaurants I visit in Indiana.

  • Power J.

This place is a hidden gem when every other Italian restaurant within 10 miles is overpriced. We picked up an eggplant pizza and minestrone soups. EXCELLENT!! Great pizza with good cheese, sauce and crust (thick but not deep-dish - and not that cracker-style thin kind). The soup was to die for - thick, rich and flavorful - filled with lots of vegetables, beans and pasta. Service was quick, courteous and good. Prices extremely reasonable in this touristy town. Menu runs 7 pages with something for everyone from pizza thru sandwiches and Italian entrees. Others leaving the place volunteered how good the food was, and i agree.

Friend of mine referred me to there. Great place to eat...carry out was quick too! Highly recommend.

  • Cindy M.

My dish was so breaded it was hard to eat and my husband's dish was hardly breaded and it is supposed to be. The service was horrible and had to send back 2 of the tables orders because they were wrong. Plan not to return and do jot recommend to anyone .

Have been staying at the Wyndham hotel right across the street for a few days and have already been there twice. Great food and friendly service! I have to eat gluten free and our waitress was very knowledgable of the menu. Their house salad with house vinagrette is great! I couldn't get enough! Between everything we ordered (the pork soulvaki plate, cheeseburger meal, house salad with gyro meat, calzone, rice pudding, and key lime pie) my boyfriend and I were never disappointed!!! Also a plus that the prices were very reasonable for a restaurant in this area!

  • Carol B.

We were directed to Gondolier when the wait at IHop for breakfast was going to be 35 min. and we were starved! My daughter and granddaughter and her friend (teenagers) all enjoyed a wonderful breakfast and great service-food came quickly, waitress was great and cost was very reasonable. Pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon, sausage were all delicious. We decided we had to try it for dinner after we looked over the huge menu, so returned for an early dinner and I had the best chicken piccata I believe I ever tasted, so lemony and fresh, with tender pasta. I would drive back there just to have that!! The lasagna that my daughter had was super and the fettuccine alfredo was melt in your mouth good, my granddaughter's favorite!! We were all so full but wanted dessert, so we ordered them to go: baklava, which was so flaky and tender, tiramisu, so wonderfully good, baklava cheesecake , absolutely divine, and oreo cheesecake, a definite favorite! I hope we can get one of these great restaurants closer to Orlando and we will be regular customers!!

    (5)
  • Bob S.

Wow!!! Great pizza. No grease, thick crust, ample toppings. Great service with a smile. The people who work here seem genuine and care about customer service! Eat here....and eat here again!

    (5)
  • Shane F.

4 stars is for the pizza the pasta dishes are average at best butt the hungry meat water pizza is hands down the best pizza I've ever had ordered from here probably 10 times and the pizza is always killer

  • Brandy V.

So torn...last year while on vacation ordered pizza and swore I would never do that again, maybe it was just a one time experience but the pizza was not good at all. This year my husband reminded me how I felt last year but we decided to order anyhow. My husband had a gyro and really liked it, so much in fact that we ordered a second time during the week and he got it again. First time we ordered I got chicken wings..nothing to get excited about, but not horrible. I ordered lasagna the second time and was complete disappointed, so bland that I could barely eat it. This place seems to do some things really well and others so-so or blah....

    (3)
  • Muncie K.

Disgusting. Ordered a chicken parm sub. Frozen chicken tenders with a tiny bit of sauce and an even smaller amount of cheese. People who serve junk like this should be put out of business. Service was slow as well.

Highly recommend this place!! Everything was cooked to perfection! We are carb loading for tomorrow's Clearwater marathon... loving every single bite!

Incredible service and meal. We were able to get in and out very quickly even though it seemed packed. Try the calamari...you won't be disappointed.

Why 5 stars? Because it probably saved my life. --- --- --- 2010. Shephard's Beach Resort. Memorial Day Weekend, July 4th Weekend. Labor Day Weekend. How did my liver survive this summer? I've never been a big drinker. We all have our night's where the spirits get the best of us, but for the most part, I've done a good job of keeping the lion in the cage. I made up for lost time that summer. Where Gondolier's came in, was keeping my friends and I (The Wolfpack) alive. For about 4 straight days, we would go hard. Really hard. But breakfast was a serious time, where we only would split one or two pitchers of Peroni. The rest of it was meant for the best omelet's I've ever had. Ham and cheese is my go-to. I am pretty certain that I could decipher these wonderful taste sensations through the alcohol that stained my brain. Without this nutrition, I don't know how we would have lived through the weekends. Gondolier will forever remain close to my heart.

  • Gary H.

Had the Gondolier Stromboli (ham, sausage, chicken, pepperoni, onions, and mozzarella cheese). It was excellent. Their Stromboli/Calzone dough is fantastic. Also tried the Spanakopita. As strange appetizer that sounded better than it was. The outside was a fantastic danish or croissant style dough. Flaky, freshly baked, delicious. The spinach filling was just not that great. I've never heard of it before this, so I'm not an expert. Just didn't care for it. Waitress and staff were very friendly and the service was great.

    (4)
  • Daria B.

Food was very bad. The place looked like a diner. Our waitress was just awkward. I guess she was trying to be friendly but it was just weird. I got their special pizza and it was terrible. We also got wings and seemed like they just dumped the whole sauce into our plate. Im so glad I didn't get sick after eating there. NEVER going back

    (1)
  • Jerk C.

Great service, and food. The pizza was piping hot. No complaints whatsoever. Had the Double Pepperoni and the "hot" pizza with churizzo. The "hot" is exactly that, not for the timid. We also shared a chicken Alfredo dish which we enjoyed. The owner was extremely nice, and on our first visit my wife had her bikini on. Instead of turning us away, they accommodated us outside and even gave us a special creation from the chef for the inconvenience. If you are in the area, this is a great choice for pizza and Italian.

    (5)
  • Rebecca D.

I'm giving it 3 stars only because the Caesars salad was good along with the bread sticks. The entree was not very good. Ordered the baked callonni which was suppose to be stuffed with burger, ricotta, parmesan and mozzarella cheese. Not even a hint of cheese was present, just hamburg. If we had dined there, I would have sent it back, but we had a take out order.

    (3)
  • Cole M.

I wish they had one of these in every town. I had the Italian sausage stromboli and it was awesome. I was with three other people and they loved what they had too. Service was excellent and our waitress was friendly. Not expensive either, their food is priced well.

    (5)
  • Brandon H.

The food was good. Avoid sitting in Nate's section! He was more interested in sitting in the front booth watching TV instead of taking care of his tables. Appetizer that was ordered did not show up until halfway through the main course (not the kitchens fault, I'm sure of that). If he is working, ask to sit in George's section. He was great...we wanted to trade sections for sure. We had to ask George to interrupt Nate's TV watching to bring us the bill.

  • Donald M.

Good service. Extensive menu with a good wine list. Thought there food was priced appropriately. Nothing great but a good overall eating (not dining) experience.

    (3)
  • Chris B.

My wife and I have eaten there every Friday night since 1994 and we love it. The food is good and it is a great value. Most meals come with bread and salad. The service is good and the food for the most part is consistent. I recommend to anyone looking for good food at reasonable prices on the beach.

  • Peter F.

First visit to Gondolier based on yelp reviews. The restaurant had excellent food and prompt friendly service. We had a party of 6, including 2 children and found everyone to be very happy with there meals. I had the Stromboli and a small Greek salad, it was awesome! The kids meals were well priced and looked great. The Gondolier offers a wide variety food and is family friendly.

  • Nicole M.

Should be 1 dollar sign, not 2. Great food- we had the Hawaiian pizza, antipasto salad, veggie platter, and all were great. The pizza could have used mire toppings, each piece of pizza only had one or two small pieces of pineapple-- but because I was SO incredibly full when I left, I gave 5 stars. They also have fresh warm garlic bread that is fantastic! Everything tasted great, portions were great. We ate for $29 including Perrier and Coke.

Good food and very pleasant atmosphere, their pizza is DELICIOUS

  • Wayne J.

We ordered a small white pizza for the parents and a small red pizza for the kids. Everyone liked the pizza, but when they say small, they mean small! Two smalls were barely enough for the four of us. As others have said, the crust is really good - even the kid who doesn't like crust said so!

    (4)
  • Jackie M.

Delicious, low key dinner. If you're in the mood for pizza or Italian while at the beach, this is the place to go. We also came here for breakfast one day. Also very good!

  • George P.

We went to the Gondolier on a rainy Saturday night, and the place was packed. Took about 30 minutes to get a table for 2, and the table we had was right next to the area where everyone else was standing waiting for a table. That was a little awkward, and made talking with my wife a challenge due to the noise. My guess is that might have been unique to the day/time/weather. The pizza was very good, and the breadsticks were outstanding. My wife fancies herself a "pizza connoisseur", and she liked the pizza so much that we went back and got a pie to go on Monday for lunch! Prices were very reasonable, and the staff seemed friendly. If you're in Clearwater Beach and looking for some good pizza, I'd recommend the Gondolier for sure!

    (4)
  • Kevin D.

It was a typical pizza joint... good food, nice restaurant, friendly staff. I wouldn't go way out of your way to go there, but if your in the area and looking for some good pizza, I recommend them!

    (3)
  • Jennifer H.

Good pizza place. There are a lot of pizza places in Clearwater and a lot of fish places. Being Veg I seemed to eat a lot of pizza on my trip here =) Gondolier was a place I could come to for pizza, but more importantly, to get something different than pizza. Salads were good and the deserts too.

Atmosphere: Nice diner. TVs in the corner. Very popular with the old retiree greek/italian? crowd. Bathrooms are old but mostly clean. Easily and quickly sat my party of 9!!! within just a few moments. Service: Not sure if it was just our waitress but they are always friendly and accommodating. Willing to make recommendations and very patient. Our waitress was even willing to watch a video of my father-in-law dancing (after a few adult drinks) to a "Dance Central" Video game. Very sweet people. This is the reason to come here. Food: The pizza and deserts are the star of the show here. I come from a big Greek community and the Greek food was so-so but at least you could see what they were going for. Pizza to go after a late night is phenomenal. Breakfast is cheap and good. Bottom Line: Worth your time for friendly people and good food.

  • Julie W.

This doesn't look like much from the outside, and the inside is a bit cramped, but the food is great! It's a mix of Italian and Greek food (a bit strange) and our table of 3 ordered all Italian and it was very good (and fast). For 3 of us (without drinks) it was $33. Will definitely go back (they deliver too!)

    (4)
  • Wesley G.

Service was good. Comfortable environment. Portion sizes were small for the price.

This is a greek pizza restaurant. i think they do the Greek food better than Italian, but not as good as Tarpon Springs restaurants.

  • Tu-van L.

Solid pizza place in the midst of touristy Clearwater Beach. Good place to go if you want good food near the beach and you're sick of the nearby seafood restaurants. Two things about the pizza pie here won me over. One is the thick yet not too heavy crust. I imagine it being as substantial as Uno's deep dish crust (without the flakiness and all that butter and grease) and the lightness of Papa John's pan crust (but somehow more flavorful and better). This place probably makes the best crust I've ever had outside of Italy. The other thing that won me over was the quantity and quality of toppings. I got the Gondolier's special (or so I think that's what it was called) that was essentially a supreme pizza with feta cheese and black olives. The toppings were plentiful and the combination made for a well balance of flavors. I was especially impressed by how the pepperoni and sausage added the needed spicy saltiness without adding ANY grease to the pizza. It's safe to say that it was a tasty diet pizza :-) Friendly and attentive staff and reasonably priced. The quality of the pies were so good heck yeah I'd come back here whenever I come home!

We just loved this place: very friendly, family-oriented atmosphere. Food is incredibly delicious. We tried lasagna, portobello mushrooms ravioli, and pizza. Loved it all, so yummy! Definitely coming back again soon.

Nice thin crust pizzas. Inside appearance is much nicer than the outside. Enjoyed it.

  • Kathy k.

not the best pizza, we asked for pepperoni they put like 5 pieces of pepperoni... it tastes like your frozen pizza you would get at shoprite, i've had better! but their eggplant parm sandwich is amazing, the pizzas just not that great!

    (2)
  • Mike B.

Not bad pizza, but I would pickup vs delivery, as our pizza was luke warm at best. Price was ok, quality was about 2 1/2 stars, but price brought the rating up slightly.

What a terrible place to eat pizza. The silverware and plates taste and smell like dirty, sour, dish water. The host got visibly upset when I asked for a table instead of a booth. He said "it gets hectic in here that is why I put you in the booth". Seriously...there were less people in the restaurant when I finished the meal than when I first stepped into the building. We had four strapping guys in a tiny booth. The pizza was under cooked and the crust was soggy. Here's an idea, calibrate the brix, of your soda pop machine. Avoid Gondoliers Pizza unless you like to be treated like vermin by the host!

Went here as a break from all the seafood. I had a stromboli and my girlfriend had some pizza. We had some cheese breadsticks to start with. It was all ok. Nothing too great. Nothing too bad. If you like cheese this would be the place to go. Both of our dishes came just like we ordered them. There were plenty f toppings and cheese on them. It was a pretty average pizza shop experience. I think our bill was around $30 but I had a couple of beers on top of our food.

Food is good. Service is slooowww! Waited 15 mins just to see who was waiting on us. Had another server ask if we were OK before we even knew who was waiting on us. After ordering we were bribed with bread sticks. Once finished eating waited another 10 mins for the check and never recieved the refill that was suppose to have been there 15 mins ago. Others around us seem to have their stuff before us and tables came and went in the hour we were there. We will try again another time. I think its a hit a miss type place. There was a line at the door when we left and some people seem to really be having a good time. By the way we had the pizza and it's good. I've had better.

My wife, daughter, and I had dinner and returned for breakfast the next morning. Dinner was great with a wide variety of food from which to pick. gondolierpizza.com/menu We were seated immediately 7 pm weeknight and had great service. My wife ordered a delicious lobster ravioli dish and I had salmon on top of a Greek Salad. The ravioli was tender with a great creamy red sauce and great cheese baked to perfection. My salad had great chunks of feta but the vegis were cut in large wedges (pretty but not the way I like to eat a salad). The greek dressing was good. The house chianti was a bit bland so I ordered a chardonnay that was much better. We returned for breakfast because they had eggs benedict for my wife (she said it was delicious), my daughter got a belgium waffle, and I had a traditional 2 egg breakfast. The breakfast food was good unfortunately the service was slow that morning (9am weekday). The waiter was friendly and accommodating. We still give this one 2 thumbs up.

I never knew one could screw up pizza so badly. There was something very wrong with the pizza; I think it was spinach related. The salad was okay, and the price for pizza, salad, soda was really good, and the waitress was very friendly, thus the 3 star rating. 0 stars for spinach pizza.

I've been to Clearwater a lot and whenever I go my number one stop is the Gondolier. The make great food. Everything from Pizza to Burgers. This place has something for everyone. Its family friendly without it being annoying for people who don't have kids with them. The price is very reasonable. Its a good sign when locales come into this place lets you know that the food is very good. Waitstaff is friendly, fast and informative.

We stayed right across the street from this Restaurant and wanted a low key evening. So we walked over and had a great dinner. We had house salads and breadsticks to start and it was very fresh! I had a pizza which was great! My husband had tour of Italy, which he loved. My son had the spaghetti and he actually took the time to eat most of it. The service was fantastic! Its a little hidden but for sure worth the visit.

I was recently on vacation in Clearwater and saw this place on the way to putt-putt. I thought it would be a nice break from seafood. My husband and I ordered a medium half-pepp/half-Canadian bacon pizza. The reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they gave me regular bacon instead of Canadian bacon, which I should have referred to as ham. I thought this pizza was absolutely delicious. It also won me over visually when I pulled out my first piece from the tray and the cheese stretched forever. That's always the start to a good pizza experience for me. The actual decor of the place is very pizzeria-esque and Florida, I enjoyed sitting on the sun porch area they have there. Atmosphere is never a deal breaker, neither is service, it's all about quality and price for me. I'd go back to Gondolier if I am ever in Clearwater again, but I will be sure to say "Ham".

Excellent for breakfast, provided you are not in a rush or a health nut. Great skillet platters. It's diner breakfast food, but better than most diners. Giving it 3 stars instead of 4 because the service is uniformly weak....slow...forgetful...and I went twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Dinner was ok. Certainly passable, nothing offensive, but I would hope there is better Italian around here, what with the Phils and Yanks training around here. But they really need to work on service, including the hostess who just points you toward your table! But go for breakfast and bring a newspaper to read and get the chicken skillet. One other super-offensive thing that almost got them a 2 star rating. On one out of 3 visits, they added an 18% tip, for a party of 5. Lame!

Funny how the reviews for this place read "all over the map" ! We were on our way back from Fort DeSoto Park and felt like some Italian (or Greek!) and owner of our rental had recommended here! We weren't disappointed- staff were friendly , fast and would recommend dishes if you were indecisive. We pretty much all ordered Italian - pasta , meatballs , one with meat sauce and one having shrimp scampis - all served steaming hot and delish! Salads came with a couple and were fresh and tasty also. Loved the warm "garlic stick bread" served with your meal - and refilled if needed! As someone else said here maybe it's a "hit or miss" kind of place - well if so, we hit it on a good night and thoroughly enjoyed the food - would go back again to try something else on the extensive menu! (We've been back twice since writing this draft to enjoy their 8am to 2 pm breakfast menu and it was great! Want to go back one last time beofre heading home :)

We ordered a large Hawaiian pizza and the veggie appetizer platter to be delivered on the Sunday evening of our vacation. The pizza was delicious - perfect amount of cheese vs sauce, in my opinion. I would pass on the appetizer platter next time and get another variety of pizza. We ordered a large pizza and 2 adults devoured half of it easily. We both enjoyed leftovers the next day. They delivered to our condo in a timely manner. One complaint - no delivery until after 5... We wanted to order around 3 but ended up waiting because of this.

We waited for an hour to get appetizer. The appetizer came out with meal, really. The waitress stated that you ordered at same time. We did not get two of our items we requested , they stated was not on the order but they did charge us on the check. They charge for breadsticks, every Italian restaurant provides free bread while you wait. I requested to speak to owner or whomever was in charge , he never came over. Food was not that good. I would never go again!

Well this was one of our fav places since my husband and I were dating (over 15years) until tonight! Picked m husband up from work and super excited to be going to our fav spot to have our fav dish, baked spaghetti. Customer experience is so crucial to maintain a successful business. And here is why: we arrived and were seated promptly, no wait. Sat at our table for 15 minutes watching others get seated and be serviced. All the while we went unnoticed despite wait staff going to other tables around us to service them. So we casually got up and made our way out of the restaurant.....but not before stopping by the cashier station to speak to the Manager. Advised the restaurant Manager of our experience and why we were leaving and never returning. Also made it clear that we would be posting reviews on their website and other social media sites! All he had to say was "ok, sorry." And I hate to label people, but so what I would've expected from the way in which he presented himself (slouchy attire, young, and uncaring...just there for the paycheck and not concerned about the business). In today's environment individuals do not realize the power consumers have. Social media is an awesome tool. So my response to this restaurant and its staff is "ok, I'm not sorry! I'd rather spend my hard earned money someplace that deserves it. So see ya, so long! And I'm advising all my FB friends to NEVER waste your time or money here."

After driving up the beach we drove back here and were not disappointed! Great east coast Italian for us midwesterners. Breadsticks were everyone's favorites- wish we could have ordered more- took dessert to go and she also gave us our drinks to go!

If you find yourself in the Clearwater area, then do yourself a favor and go in or have this delicious food delivered to your hotel door. We found this through the great reviews. We ordered a large pizza sausage and pep with the combo app plate. The pizza was great and the broc bites were AWESOME! Next time we will get the full order of broc bites!! They delivered fast to our door!!! We definitely try them more during our stay!

We went on a busy night I mean they where so full there was a line outside. As full as they where with short staff everything was above and beyond. I got better service here then some other places around them. In fact it was good I went the 3 days in a row. The food is bomb I had the server chose the food for me. On top of that the price is super cheap NOTE TO BUSINESS OWENER!!!! Raise your prices I would pay another $7.00 on top of what you have it priced For everything on that menu!! Customer service couldn't get getting better. Very friendly, fast and knowledgable about the menu. Thank You!!

It was good. Deep dish, buttery crust. The daily special is a bargain for an 8" pizza and salad for less than six bucks. I live here, so I can't say it's the best in Tampa Bay, but it was good. The dining area is comfortable. Service was good.

Nice little quant Italian diner located on Clearwater beach. Normally, I review other Yelp reviews when picking out food selections. But this place was located right across from our hotel so location won. Crowded upon arrival at 7pm which was expected. We were sat in a normal time frame. Wait staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Our food was on point(pizza and pasta). So with all that said it was a solid meal, and would return to if I was back on location.

Very nice and affordable alternative to the overpriced hotels that add 18% gratuity regardless of service level. The pizza was very good. Breakfasts were good. The bruschetta was also excellent.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
