It takes a lot for a restaurant to earn 5 stars for me.. The quality and taste of food, level of service, cleanliness and comfortability, and value of price for what you get.. Well kudos to Bangkok, cause you guys knocked them all out of the park! The prices were very reasonable and the flavor of everything we had was amazing and cooked perfectly. Even the rice chicken soup and veggie egg roll (that I usually hate) that came with the dishes, was excellent. The servers were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back!

This is BY FAR the best Sushi in Pinellas County. We found this place through Living Social (12 for 20) and am so glad we did. The owners are so nice and accommodating and the Sushi is beyond fresh. Like others have said before me, the PBJ roll is bangin good, I mean it soooo dayyyuuuuummmm good! We bought another Living Social and went back within a week of the first visit. And you will too lol. It's not much to look at but I could care less about that. It's nicer on the inside than what you would think looking at the outside. The bathroom is always neat and clean. Get the LS, go here and get the PBJ, you won't be sorry.

A "Hidden Little Gem!" My daughter and I had dinner there last week - GREAT! Hell, my "ex" even likes it too!

We ordered lunch special shrimp Pad Thai and Panang curry. Each one came with a spring roll and clear noodle soup. We were ordering a late lunch for carryout about 15 minutes before they closed. They were kind enough to take our order, so we rushed to pick it up. It only took us about 10 minutes to get there, and the food was ready when we arrived. The service was fast and friendly, and it's nice to be able to order in Thai. They even helped us out to the car with the order. In addition to the Thai food, they also have a sushi bar. I could tell it was kid friendly, and they really pay attention to all the small details. The food was great, full of flavor, large portions, and fresh ingredients. The Thai iced coffee was delicious! I will definitely be back to try the sushi and other items in their menu.

This is becoming my favorite restaurant with good reason. The owner is terrific and makes sure everything comes out of the kitchen to your liking and to his standards. Today I ordered the PB&J roll and the Sexy man roll. The food melts in your mouth. I can't wait to return again.

Stopped in here today for lunch. We ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai, and Chicken Panang Curry to go. Everything was prepared fast, priced fantastically, and super delicious. I waited in my vehicle with the dog and A/C while my wife went inside to pay, so I don't even know what the inside of the building looks like. Therefore, I'll only be talking about the food today. We received a complimentary cup of soup with the meal, also delicious! I love free stuff! The Panang Curry was nice and hot (spicy hot), just how I like it. Lots of fresh green beans (not canned, and cooked perfectly), zucchini, and red bell peppers. The chicken was of good portion, and also cooked perfect. The Shrimp Pad Thai seemed to be missing something, but was great regardless. Plenty of fresh shrimp, and spot-on with the cooking, also. Overall, this place was fast, friendly, and delicious! I would definitely go back here again.

A super friendly, family owned and run atmosphere. Newly renovated, double the original size and beautifully appointed. The sushi is the best I've had in the area, always fresh and artistically presented. From the time you enter to the time you leave you are so welcome and feel like you are part of the extended family.

Smack right on US 19. It's actually pretty easy to get to from either side of the road when there's no traffic. The exterior isn't much but the interior is nice, warm and cozy. I started with the Tom Kha Chicken (chicken coconut soup) which was unimpressive. It tasted bland to me. It's actually one of my favorite soup so I was a bit disappointed but after a little altering with some salt, pepper and a squeeze of lime (from my water) it was edible. I was a little iffy now because we had a lot of food coming our way. It started to look up once we started to go down on some sushi rolls. The Sakura was pretty tasty as it consist soft shell crab and eel. The Best Friend roll was a big winner too (recommended by our server) it has three types of fish; salmon, tuna and yellowtail topped with avocado, wasabi mayo and tobiko. I absolutely love the rice and fish proportion. PLUS! The Thai dishes were so-so. We got the chicken penang curry and pad thai. It wasn't the best thai food I've never had much it was pretty tasty. I would definitely come back for some more rolls! It's a little turn off that they all have cream cheese but I really did enjoy my rolls. The service was also nice, our server did come to check us a little too much but it's a funny guy.

Once you get to the location, park in the back. Way better than parking by that huge sign. The exterior is nothing fancy, but the inside is rather nice. They have all types of seating and high chairs for the youngins. They have a good bar with a fairly nice selection. The music choice was an interesting mix, but not distracting or annoying. Restaurant was very clean. Now the people. They were more than kind and very attentive to our needs the entire time we were there. The Thai tea was awesome, the pad Thai, Thai spicy, is actually quite Good if you are a fan of very spicy foods. The crab Rangoon was awesome, and had a hint of curry, which was surprisingly delicious. I am thoroughly impressed with this place and I will be returning for more Thai food! (my wife had the sushi and said it was good too.)

Best sushi & Thai around!! Finally!! I have eaten here 4 times now and I always have a delicious meal!! Their sushi chef could be the best I've ever seen. Her rolls are like works of art & delectable! The Volcano roll is my favorite! My husband's favorite dish is green, shrimp curry- Thai hot!! Staff could not be nicer or more attentive! They also have great lunch specials! I highly, highly recommend this place!!

I came in because my friend brought me in. I got a lunch special of pad Thai AND red curry. Both were super fresh and very flavorful and came with a cup of "chicken noodle soup" (chicken, clear glass noodles, roasted garlic and scallions) and an egg roll. I've since been back about once a week (or more) and have yet to have anything but an awesome experience. My new fav is the green curry with steamed tofu and shrimp, Thai hot. It's honestly so good and I fancied myself a red curry devotee forever, now I'm converted. This place is humble and straight forward, great Thai food. Lunch prices are ridiculously affordable.

Food is delicious, atmosphere is great, and service is very friendly! My boyfriend and I were sad that we were just visiting, because we'd absolutely be back (over and over again), especially with the fantastic $10 lunch deal for 2 sushi rolls, egg roll, and soup and apparently for a tiny additional fee you can swap 1 of the sushi rolls for a Thai entree. We ate here for dinner twice on our short trip to FL, with a $18 for $30 Groupon both nights. The first night we had tom kha soup with chicken, green curry with chicken, spicy noodles with chicken, and a spicy tuna roll. We ate tom kha soup in Thailand all last summer and while Bangkok Tokyo's soup was a bit creamier, it was just as delicious! The green curry was also fantastic. The spicy tuna rolls were tasty and so much food for just $6! The spicy noodles (basically drunken noodles) were fine; the rice noodles weren't as wide and didn't have the texture one typically expects from the wide rice noodles used in drunken noodles and pad se eew. The second night, we ordered very similarly, but also tried the cashew chicken stir fry, which was very mild in flavor. I wouldn't particularly recommend this dish as I've had much better cashew chicken dishes. Overall, a FANTASTIC restaurant. It's not everyday that you find a place that does both Thai food and sushi well (though many restaurants do try)!

Went here tonight for takeout after someone told me about the place. The place if clean and well decorated. The staff is very friendly. Had the California and Veggi rolls, both very well done Also ordered some Pad Thai and Thai Basil Spicy Fried Rice. Both were very well balanced and had very good flavor. Talked briefly with Melvin and he made us a couple of Mai Tai's while we waited for the order. They were pretty good. The food was well packed. I've been looking for a go-to Thai and Sushi place and Bangkok Thai fills both of those.

My fiancé and I went for dinner the other night and the sushi was UNREAL. Pricing is excellent for the amount of fish in the rolls and the quality of the fish was top notch. The owner was super funny and kind and our server (although she seemed very coy/quiet) was very polite. They really made our experience fun and pleasant (we were the only ones there that evening). Our food was out quickly and was plated beautifully with fruit/veg garnishes and everything; A very delicate detailed touch that we both appreciated. I also got some kind of spicy coconut milk based soup that literally had me wiping tears of joy from my cheeks. The fusion of the thai influence with Japanese sushi was very interesting and delicious. I've been craving more since we left! We will definitely go back.

Amazing food, delightfully friendly and personal service, and delicious options all across the menu. Highly recommend for anyone looking for their Asian food fix. We ordered edamame, tuna roll, pad woon-sen, red curry and green curry. Every dish was delicious and so reasonably priced. It's a must visit!

Food is fantastic, portions are very generous, and service was exceptional. May not look like much on outside but don't judge a book by it's cover. Def worth coming in and trying. We will be back often!

The service was exceptional. We ordered our food....all vegetarian. We got there and was greeted by a beautiful family. The lady went over the ordered and mentioned that everything was vegetarian. The chef came out and told us that if anything was wrong when we got home, to call and he would fix the problem We get out to the car and it won't start. The delivery driver (?) offered to give us a boost. Took out cables from his car and tried to help us. Nothing. Could be the starter Ok, then entire staff came out to see hat they could do. Offered us food and something to drink. What great hospitality. They kept checking on us until we got the tow truck to get us. Everyone offered us something to drink. Fantastic service Best part....the food was better than the service!!! Highly recommend the place. I think this is the only 5-star rating I've given. I won't forget the hospitality of the family.

My fiancé and I had dinner on Monday May 27. We shared a tofu red curry and a spicy eggplant bangkoktokyorestaurant.c… , along with a few bottles of terrific sake. The presentation was elegant, the setting very welcoming, and the staff friendly, courteous and attentive. The best part though was the food, which was just delicious. It was the best Thai meal that I have had in many years including Boston, Naples, and Sarasota.

Fifth time or so I've been here and while meaning to write before, I just had to do so this morning. Wanted to try the duck but was undecided about how to have it; asked the owner and he expressed his preference was green curry. I love panang, but decided to take his advice. I couldn't be happier. Half duck was perfectly done with a crisp skin that I could just eat every single day of my life. The vegetables were done just right, but more amazingly the green curry just pulled everything together. I was lingering and enjoying it but getting full before half way through and wanted to take half to my sister so she could try it. Well, she had to settle for the vegetables and green curry sauce because I just had to have EVERY last piece of that duck. Had the opportunity to chat with the lovely wife (Diane) of the owner (Marvin) and she brought out some seaweed for me to sample - loved it. The encore was a complimentary small delicate little coconut milk star dessert she brought out. As full as I was I couldn't resist a small taste - it was gone in seconds. I must tell you that I grew up in NYC and have always been a 'foodie.' Have been told I must have been a food critic in my past life so this is not your average run of the mill opinion. I realize this may not be the most well-written review as I'm a bit sleepy and yet to have my coffee, but just had to share my experience. Will be recommending and can't wait to go back!!!! P.S. It only took one time for me to decide to have my birthday here back in May ;-)

Date night with the wifey and very very happy. She had the Pad Ba Me and was pleased, I had the beef salad and was also pleased. Med hot is the way to go unless you're a beast. The Viet style rolls were very fresh and tasty. We'll be back.

Alas, I live in Chicago and so won't be able to return soon. Carried out from here to our nearby hotel on vacation over the holidays. Wow! I so wish it were closer. The food was amazing. My daughter had a specialty roll and it was so beautiful. She wouldn't share but she said it was the best ever. My husband and I had hot food. It was so delicious--especially the peanut sauce. The family that owns this restaurant were so friendly and welcoming. They even gave us a magnet with a teeny tiny bowl of artistically designed ceramic Thai food (which we will cherish and use to remind us of this great experience). Lucky Floridians!

We tried out Bangkok Tokyo tonight because they had a groupon deal. We will be coming back because the food was amazing and the staff was attentive. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and clean. Our waitress Claire checked on on several times to see if we needed anything, and the owners (?) even stopped by to see how the food was. We tried several dishes and each was awesome. Good job Bangkok Tokyo!

Prices are reasonable & they give alot of food for your money. But the food doesn't have much flavor to it. Sushi was the worst i ever had i tried to give it flavor with sauces(spicy mayo & soy sauce) but didnt work it still didnt taste good. & the entree spicy fried rice had also the same problem there isnt flavor build up in the food even when using lots of sauces. Plus the place was so empty we where the only ones here.

They got a four star rating but deserve a four and a half. We were a party of two and a little nervous at first when we walked in and there were only two tables occupied at dinner on a Monday night. Nervousness gave way to sheer surprise at the quality of the food. Had a sugar mama roll that was very good, but the stars of the show were the drunken noodles with shrimp and the super fresh, very delicious green curry w. chicken. If they had paid more attention to little things (bringing two side plates, and two sets of chopsticks instead of one, taking my iced tea glass by holding the rim to go refill it) they would have had a five. We will be back.

Stumbled on this place. Being from Chicago, we know restaurants, particularly ethnic ones, which are missing in Tampa Bay. After many years, we have finally found excellent sushi at this place! The value is comically good...very reasonable prices and enormous portions. We only had one Thai item, and it was very good. We will certainly be back!

This restaurant has only been open about a month, and I have already eaten there three times! I have been very pleased every time. I like spicy food, and I loved the spicy noodles. A green curry was accompanied by fantastic fried eggplant, perfectly crisp on the outside and melt in your mouth soft on the inside; it was meant as an accompaniment, but for me it stole the show!

I had not had Thai food for some time. My wife has it at least once a week. She told me how good this was and how beautiful this place was. I now totally agree. Food was most excellent and the service was fantastic. This place will be a regular with us.
