Second time my hubster and I have been here. We eat at fine establishments all over the Tampa Bay Area. Sometimes we want a good burger or sandwich. This IS the place to go!!!! Everything is made fresh to order. You will wait for your food and you will NOT be disappointed!!! The Free Loader chicken sandwich is absolutely delicious. Enjoy!!!!!

It was another game of Spin the Yelp to see what would come up when I was getting out of dance class and the husbeast was getting out of work late. When it landed on this one.. I liked the concept and so.. a decision was made. Finding it was ..tricky. I ended up at Charlie's Cafe, but apparently the GPS was off of our location by about 100 feet, the pub is next to Domino's so we just had to move our cars. *shrug* Parking for 1933 Pub & grill can be tight, as it was, i took the last space and there didn't seem to be a lot of people there, I think everone must have taken there own vehicles! We walked in, it was dimly lit. There was NO hostess, the waitstaff was all behind the bar, so we sat down and waited. Minutes ticked by until one of the people finally came out and asked us why we didn't flag them down, their regulars would have been screaming by then (five or so minutes had passed). When we did get the menu, we perused it for a few minutes and finally placed our orders, we started with their Slim Pickings - Basically Chili Cheese fries. And they were very good, The only thing I can say about them is that the chili was on the WAY mild side, even for me, and that it lacked salt. The husband had one of their burgers, and chips with cajun flavoring. The chips were some of the crispiest I've ever had and his burger was both thick and juicy! I opted to have some wings and cole slaw, the slaw was DAMNED good! And the wings were right tasty as well. Their medium sauce wasn't too spicy, and had a good bite on the tongue. Personally, I found it too dark inside, I had to use my cell phone to order by, and the minimal light offered by the tea-light on the table was barely enough to light my pictures. Other than that, it was a good place to catch a meal and conversation!

I decided to try this place out for a late lunch. Nice cozy interior, not divey. They have a decent selection of beers and wine, but no liquor in site. I decided to try The Burger Eggplosion which came adorned with a Fried Egg, bacon, and American Cheese. They cooked it a perfect medium rare, and all the flavors worked together nicely. I also asked if I could upgrade to onion rings instead of fries, which they were kind enough to let me do. The onions themselves tasted fresh and delicious, but the breading was really doughy, I prefer the outside a little more fried. Once again I found myself wavering between 3 and four stars, but what was that I spotted on tap? They have Pair O' Dice Hop Bet Red? Why, we just had a Yelp event at that awesome brewery. I have appreciation for them carrying local beers, and therefore they get the nod for the fourth star.

I came here for the first time late on a Friday evening. For that reason I didn't get the chance to try out the food menu, so this review is based solely on service, drinks and environment. First of all the ambience here is laid back yet upscale. Has a nice jazzy meets coffee lounge meets wine bar feel. They had a nice and mellow live singer here playing guitar and singing throughout the evening. He did a great job and played a good selection of songs. Brittany was our bartender and she was really friendly and a nice person overall. Great personality. Decent selection of beer and wine for reasonable prices. No liquor here. Really enjoyed the experience here and I will come back again some time Oh! Can't forget the patio out back. So relaxing and chill out there. Perfect for a night when the Florida weather finally cools down

Decided to come here after a friend sent me a Groupon, never knew the place was here. Ordered the fried mushrooms and we usually judge a place by them. They didn't dissapoint. The burger eggplosion and the great caper were excellent and cooked to a perfect medium. This is a great place for a great burger and an ice cold beer. We will be back in the future. I definitely suggest you stay on top of your social media to be relevant (instagram and twitter) are lacking!

Good burgers, good beer and good service. We started with the slim pickens appetizer with chips and it did not disappoint. I ordered the eggplosion burger with Parmesan garlic fries and both were very tasty. The burger was cooked perfectly and very juicy. Atmosphere is nice with neat decor and overall very clean. Waiters and waitresses were all very attentive and helped each other out. Overall, a good experience and we will definitely be going back.

First thing was having the waiter squeeze my lemon in my water then pushing the lemon into my drink. YUMMMM! I then ordered a salad, after getting a NEW water, and it had glass in it. Almost broke a fricken tooth. Informed server and he indicated that there was no glass in their kitchen and did nothing. It was a tense situation to get the salad taken off my bill. My wife said the wings were good. I ate Subway. Didn't feel like trying my odds with another glass salad.

My man and I dined here for the first time tonight. We were pleased with the atmosphere and were greeted as we walked in the door by Alex, our friendly bartender. She suggested a few craft beers and even let us sample a taste before we dove into a pint. We ordered the Mozzarella Moons, which were - oh my god - delicious. It's hard to mess up mozzarella sticks but these were supreme. We then ordered the Hobo Sandwich (a sandwich stacked with bacon, chicken, avacado, lettuce, tomato and swiss cheese) and it was to die for. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp, and everything was built to perfection. Our chef, Chris, even came out to chit-chat with us about the food and other current events. It was a little bit of a slower night, but you could tell everyone there was a regular guest and they were patrons for a reason. We finished the night off with the caramel cheesecake and there was no better way. The food was delicious, the beers were fresh, and the service was outstanding. The staff they hire here are phenomenal. Alex was very sweet and fun and we will definitely be coming back to see her and enjoy more of the pub's delectable food and awesome atmosphere!

Wife and I wanted something different and close, so we went to Yelp and found 1933. Cozy little restaurant and bar, with nice back patio. I was in cheeseburger mood, and wife had a salad. Burger was excellent, and salad was huge (maybe too big). We'll definitely go back again.

1933 Pub and Grill in Clearwater, Florida I recently went out to see a new place called 1933 Pub and Grill on Nursery Rd in Clearwater. The new owners, Julie and Keith Mundy, have put a lot of effort into making this a really fun place to come to eat and drink and it certainly is that. You can dine inside or on their private outdoor patio. It's a friendly, comfortable place that you feel as soon as you walk in. There's always someone on their smiley staff to greet you. It's a very lively spot. There is always something to grab your attention, from the trivia tablets to the wall of photo fun, daily activities and entertainment every weekend. The food is all fresh and freshly made. We had New England clam chowder that was excellent. There were large pieces of tasty clams and potatoes in every spoonful. We're told that this recipe has won several national awards. One of 1933 Pub's signature dishes is the homemade chili and it was really good. It was filled with chunks of tasty beef and lots of beans with a special sauce on top that was delicious. The cheezy steak sub, another signature dish, came with fresh homemade potato chips with parmesean cheese sprinkled on top. It was cheezy and yummy. They have a great selection of beer - over 28 from which to choose, a full bar, lots of great appetizers and several great entrees. It's a great spot for a quick bite or a fun evening.

This place is amazing! The staff is always friendly and Alex is always on point! They are baby friendly and always so sweet to my daughter! The food is fantastic! Their build your own burger is both genius and delicious! Their "All In Dip" is great along with everything else on the menu! Just found this little gem a month or so ago and we've been back more than 5 times in the month! The atmosphere is eclectic and warm with a touch of "1933" prohibition style. Always a great experience!

Usual randomly looking for a place on yelp when out of my immediate area. Considering the area it's located in I wasn't expecting anything great. Big surprise. We got 10 bourbon honey wings and the drifter burger. The fries come with a few types of seasoning choices, I got Cajun. Food was excellent, good portion, priced for what you get. Quality over quantity. There's also a nice beer selection. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Definitely coming back when I'm in the area.

If your not a regular do not expect much. Gave it three tries and will not be returning. Bar food only with selections like chili with fritos. Burgers are okay and if you need to rate your restaurant on a burger well that should tell you something. Out dated menu and slim selection. Service for regulars is fantastic and I couldnt believe how quick they got served while i sat and waited and watched. That's too funny and a lie. I gave you two stars not to be vengeful and to give others benefit of making a decision on there own. Ask us to leave is a lie or you have wrong client. Again benefit of doubt. Looking at reviews I am not only one with similar comment. My bet is your regulars keep your star rating up. Here is an idea. Get off your high horse and train your staff and update your food and learn to be tolerate of those different then you.

Visited this new neighborhood pub & grill Friday night and was very pleasantly surprised with excellent burgers, home made fries and local craft beers on tap. The server was very good and attentive to our needs. It took a little longer than I would have liked to get our food but this was easy to overlook. There was a good number of people in the pub having a great time. The place looks very nice and is well maintained. We will definitely be back to visit 1933 pub & grill again.

Mushrooms: love that pub sauce and portobellos my favorite not crazy about the " long john silver batter". Hot wings: excellent. We done for hot wings and these are very well prepared and the bleu cheese is worth the .75 extra. Beer: tap or bottle glasses are frosty. Burgers: fat & juicy cooked to specifications. Julie & Keith: working it. Music, buzz-time games, sports TV, they pretty much have it all .. Locals support locals !! Check out 1933 Pub & Grill

I REALLY like this little spot, staff is friendly, food is surprisingly excellent. If they have a special Go For It! All kinds of beer and wine. Only reason they don't get the five stars is cause they don't serve the hard stuff..

Really enjoyed out visit there. Went there on a Tuesday and sat on the back patio which was set up nice with lights in the trees and all. It was late so we had it to ourselves. She got the burger with Portobello and fries and I got the wings. It was 50 cent wing night which was a plus. She said it was the best burger and fries she has had in a very long time and I was very happy with the wings which were large and cooked Judy right. Server was cool and attentive. Interesting innovative menu.

I had previously given this place 4 stars because it seemed like an above average pub. We came back on a Friday night (because I was under the impression that they had live music only on Saturdays) around 10:30 and the music was so loud that we turned around and walked out before even making it to the bar. It's a shame really because we definitely like the place in every other respect. Also, we like to drink and the location is really convenient. Normally we love live music too, but this was LOUD. And everything else goes out the window when you're getting ear-banged. Honestly, I'll probably be back to try it on a weeknight. Original review: Went on a Saturday night around 10:00. They had live music which was pretty good, although just a touch loud at times if you're trying to carry on a conversation. I think Saturday's are the only day of the week they have live music though. Nice, clean bar. Friendly staff. The food was a little better than average bar food. We both had burgers and fries though, with a fried mozzarella appetizer to start. There may be better items on the menu that we didn't try. Drinks were reasonable for a Saturday night. Definitely worth a try if you are in the area.

Clean, cute, great attentive staff, pretty decent beer selection. Went for drinks, can't speak for the food but I hear they have a great burger and everything I saw going out of the kitchen looked incredible. Definitely and unassuming little gem in the middle of a neighborhood.

We love this pub. It's in our neighborhood, and is now our go to place for a bite and a beer. We visit no less than once a week. The staff is AMAZING and so friendly - and they are quick to remember you!! The menu is small, but the food is TERRIFIC! It's all delicious, and prepared to your liking. We've tried almost everything on the menu, and it's all wonderful. My husband love the clam chowder, and my favorite is the buffalo chicken sandwich. The entertainment is fantastic also. We see the owner every time we visit, and he always stops by the tables to check on everything. LOVE LOVE LOVE that we can call this place home!!

ok I've eaten here a few times now and . . and oh . . yes. . . The chicken wings are SO good as are the fried portabella mushrooms and the burgers. Lots of events and a very friendly staff.

When we walked in the place, we were initially impressed. Then, everything went downhill. We picked the place because we wanted to play interactive trivia, and they are one of the few places that offer it around here. Well, all their machines weren't charged, or broken, which left us without a console for most of our time there. They finally brought one that worked, but we didn't have much opportunity to play because we were done with our meal. So that brings me to the quality of the food...horrible at best. We got a shrimp appetizer for $8 that included about 8 baby shrimp that were over cooked. We both had burgers we ordered med rare and they came out med well. Plus they had no flavor whatsoever. So, after paying $5 a beer, eating crappy food, and not even having the distraction of trivia, they messed up our ticket. So that was a whole ordeal straightening that out because they already charged our card. Oh and the server was rude and horrible. We will NEVER go back there and I advise you to stay away. There are plenty of other places in Clearwater with better food, service and atmosphere, at a better price. We told them it was our first time there, and when we find a place we like we will always go back several times. They should do a better job at keeping new and potential permanent customers happy.

Went tonite for dinner for the first time and can't wait to go back. Wife got the clam chowder to start and it may be the best I've ever had. Very creamy, chunks of clams and even had a nice bite to it, kind of peppery. We both had burgers, both very good. Fries were excellent and come with a variety of seasonings; we got Old Bay, and sea salt and cracked pepper. A very good experience!

Terrific, unique burgers and awesome fries. The clam chowder is exceptional and if you order the chowder/grilled cheese combo the bowl of chowder is bigger than your head! All menu items are great. Wish they had cocktails, but the beer is cold and the wine selection good. You'll love it. Go!

This place blows. The owner is extremely rude. I ordered the wings and they were soggy and and under-cooked. When I told him he said he had cooked them himself and that they were fine. Never coming back here again.

We came here a couple weeks ago for date night, we had a living social deal so we were restricted to a couple sections on the menu but we were not disappointed. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, it was delicious and brandon had a burger with an egg on it that was also very good. We also had mozzarella sticks which were pretty good, regular mozzarella sticks though but the sauce was tasty. They had a great variety of Craft beers as well as a full liquor bar and wine options. The atmosphere was really laid back and chill but not "divey", just a very nice environment for drinks or dinner or both. There were quite a few really tasty looking items on the menu that we want to go back and try for sure. WARNING: Don't be in a hurry, the service was definitely not quick, I think this meal took us at least 2 hours or more... the food is delicious and well worth the wait but it takes quite a while to get your food so be patient. The parking lot wasn't very big, it was in a plaza so it was shared with a couple other places, but most people were parking on the grass on the side of the road.

Had never seen this place but decided to try it w/a Groupon. And we've been back twice in a week. The All In appetizer is to die for. Our party has had everything from burgers to salad to beef tips. All have been great. The burgers are awesome. Good beer selection. Friendly service. They had live music on our first visit which added to the experience. Parking lot is small but I understand Walgreens allows restaurant customers to park in their lot w/o a problem. Looking forward to our next visit.

1933 Pub is a local favorite. While this place doesn't look like much on the outside, it is definitely something special. This is much more than "bar food" -- the food quality is top notch and the menu has a number of unique offerings. Whether it is salads or sandwiches, or something heavier, I have get to be disappointed. One of my favorites is the "all in" chips appetizer, which is homemade potato chips with an amazing potato, cheese, and bacon "dip." The dining area is small, so the place can get busy and parking is tight. If the weather is good, you can sit on a back porch. It is best to show up early!

Great service, great food, love the atmosphere! Wish you had a liquor license. ....I don't drink beer or wine and we would eat there weekly if you did!!

This is a great place to come vs some of the chains that are in the area. This is a local place run by a nice couple. The night we came, the owner was running the bar and tables. He was very friendly. He took the time to talk with us and tell us about the menu and beers they had on tap. He also helped us out with our order when we couldn't decide. The inside of the pub is nice; it looks like it was recently remodeled. It has a nice mix of tables, bar sized tables and a good sized bar. There is an outside area, but we sat inside. I went with one of their burgers since that's what they're known for. It was cooked nicely. It was a spicy burger but didn't have a ton of heat to it. I would have preferred it to be a bit hotter. The fries were just a touch under cooked. My wife had a salad. The shrimp wasn't exactly to her liking (the way it was cooked and dressed) and they quickly offered her another skewer that was grilled. Drinks were good and they had a nice selection of beers on tap. Again, a great neighborhood place. If you want something a little different, jump off 19 and try them out.
