Very good Italian food! Always enjoy coming here. Love the eggplant appetizer! Great service! Love the Caesar salad or split the antipasti. I usually order one of their seafood and pasta dishes - so very good. My husband loves their veal, or orders one of the specials. Large portions. Also very good pizza or chicken parmigiana sandwiches to go.

Called to order a pizza for delivery from my cell phone. I called three times and every time someone would pick up the phone and hang up. I thought maybe my cell signal was bad so I called from my house phone. I ordered and gave them me cell phone number for call back. The prick on the phone said to me... "You are the one that called here 5,000 times" I told him I was calling from my cell and must have had a bad connection. He said "yeah sure" .......I said I'll order from another place..and hung up. I called back to speak to a manager and got the same person saying he was the manager..what?..that did it for me...used to like the place. What happened to customer service? This guy is the manager? I will not give business to people that don't appreciate the business and are down right rude!

TLDR: overpriced and under seasoned. I ordered a medium rare filet mignon, a crab cake, and broccoli rabe. The filet came out overcooked (medium) and had a funny taste to it, the "Award winning" crab cake was completely one note and missing seasoning BADLY, and the broccoli rabe also desperately needed seasoning. All in all, it cost me about $50. Given the quality of the food I received from a STEAKHOUSE, this is just sad

Pretty good restaurant. I ordered a large pizza and split it with a friend. It was above average and very thick. I like thick pizza, so I enjoyed it. The waitress was friendly and knowledgable. It was a quick visit and I would definitely recommend it.

I will have to give this place another try before a more thorough review is given. I will start by saying the bread/dipping oil is good, service was timely and friendly, the menu has a very good variety ranging from pizza to seafood to filet mignon. There is something for everyone on the menu! I ordered the Ahi Tuna entree at $21 with a side of sautéed button mushrooms at $4. When the meal came I was very pleased with the portion, as a big tuna steak sat on a hearty serving of risotto. The tuna was fair but the risotto and mushrooms were very, very tasty! My friend ordered the scallops and shrimp over penne pasta ( you choose your pasta type ) which I was able to try. The scallops and shrimp were delicious by themselves... I didn't feel the pasta/sauce was anything above average but nevertheless was good. I would recommend trying this restaurant and look forward to trying something different on their menu on my next visit.

Good food but incredibly slow service, staff/management doesn't seem concerned with good service. I work closer by but we've speed going dirt lunch because we can't get in & out in an hour- even though we only order cold sandwiches! If you decide to go & eat in I suggest you order 2 drinks & ask for everything you need up front because you will never see your server again!

Although I love the food at Valle's, the manager with an attitude had got to go. So this time when we checked in with the hostess, we requested one of the several empty tables for four (there were two of us). We were told no and then the manager barked at the hostess "Put them on the waiting list". The manager never even made eye contact with us. No sorry or any explanation when no one else was waiting. Well those garlic nuggets, delicious as they were, are not worth the attitude.

The food is very good in my opinion for the price. Never had a bad meal and I have been going there for years for lunch and dinner. The servers are always polite and respectful. The two complaints I have with the place are as follows. At lunch they only have one server running around doing everything. Waiting tables, busing tables, bartending and serving as hostess. Ends up being a long lunch. So if you are in a hurry don't go there. I don't know what there logic is to have a crowd at lunch with one server running around like a maniac. I would probably go more since my office is so close but I can't take 75 minutes lunches all the time. The other complaint I have is that during the winter the place is freezing and the table tops are ice cold. Can't they afford heat at lunch. I think they are trying to save a few bucks but they are losing more in revenue. Like I said I would probably go there a lot more if not for these two issues.

as others have said it can be hit or miss. Made a reservation on Open table for 630 on a friday night, req a booth which was accomodated. Opted for a mid priced btl of wine, which promptly came, However it wasnt very cold, i topped off the glasses we had and requested the server to take it to the bar and stick it in ice for a few minutes. Instead the server added ice to the undersized bucket on the table to remedy the situation, it didnt, but it was fine, the effort was there.... my companion and i split the shaved beef sandwich as a app. it was outstanding, she had the fish special which was very good.... I was in the mood for lasagna, but several times that i have ordered it here it came out very runny, wasnt very good. So I ordered the Lasagna but asked the server to chk with the chef and req a firm pc, I said it that wasnt possible, id take a steak boli, no problem whichever she thought would be better, and left it at that....... we enjoyed our wine for about 20 min, then the entrees came,....My lasagna was indeed a firm sq pc, however it wasnt very warm, 120 degrees max,....I was hungry so just ate it and it was quite good, again, Id surmise the chef took the time to cut me a nice pc out of the backup tray and heated it up.....again, A for effort, B for result Restaurant was full by 7pm, well staffed,.....overall a enjoyable evening....... wide price range, something for everyone

This is our go-to place. Food is always great; staff is always friendly. I have never had a bad meal. Love the chicken dishes, husband loves seafood pescatori, crab cakes are the best in the area.

My brother likes this place and I took my mom here on a Saturday before Mothers Day. It was pretty crowded, but not surprising given that a lot of people were taking Mom out and it was a Saturday. We didn't have reservations, but were happy to have a drink at the bar. Mom gives the martini a thumbs up! The service was really the sad part here. We were shown to our table and waited for at least 10 minutes before anyone came by. A long time elapsed between our order and the delivery of food; I know it was really busy, so I can't ding them too much on that. The waitress was a bit absent, but I think it was just ours, as if our table was an afterthought; the other wait staff seemed to be present quite a bit more. The market prices for the steaks and seafood were a bit high by my standards. The rest of the menu (classical Italian choices) seemed reasonably priced. The bruschetta starter was really good. I had a steak with a crabcake and it was all good; the steak was very nicely cooked and the crabcake was good as well. It was a bit "mousse-y", but I enjoyed it! You get one of the side dishes with a steak. It'd go over better if they included two; how much do some steamed veggies or a baked potato cost? The had one of my favorite wines as a house wine by the glass, and the wine list was quite extensive, and no more overpriced than many other restaurants (most wines in restaurants are overpriced, IMO). I wasn't blown away, but I'd certainly give it another shot and would be interested to try some of the more traditional Italian dishes.

My girlfriend and I went to Valle after having not been there in a while. When the groupon came out, we bought it figuring it would be nice to go back. It's definitely not what it once was in my opinion I ordered the tortellini blush and my girlfriend ordered the salmon cedar. The tortellini tasted like store bought tortellini and was drowning in a thin (not creamy as described in the menu) sauce. The salmon was overcooked and burned to the cedar board it came on and the asparagus was overcooked tomatoes that came with it undercooked. She ended up getting my entree as a replacement. Unfortunately we each bought a groupon and feel obligated to use the second. Something was very different about this most recent experience from past experiences at Valle and not for the good. To follow up to a previous post, the lock on the men's bathroom door still does not work- 7 months later apparently

The food was okay but it took them 50 minutes to bring it out!! & it was the same way for everybody else. People just sat & waited. Service was SLOW. Tight seating. Get a booth if you can because the tables are too dark. I won't be going back.

This place has come a long way since I was in high school. The to-go pizza joint aspect has been way downsized for a larger Italian dining experience. No complaints about the food. Its good italian for the price. However it does fall prey to what has happened to a lot of restaurants in the down turn. Off-peak dining hours have fewer wait staff. Like 1 and the service does suffer a bit. I shouldn't have to ask for drink refills. They also need to fix the lock on the bathroom door. These kind of fixes are a huge pet peeve of mine. It just shouldn't happen. It is especially strange to find these kinds of things when the manager comes to each table to ask how everything is. He obviously cares, just a little oblivious to some details.

Service was slow to the point where I wanted to ask if they could leave a pitcher of water on our table or give me a glass that is bigger than 8 oz. Ordered the mini crab cakes and bruschetta for appetizers. Mini crab cakes didn't look to appetizing, but I was a fan. A lot of crab meat and not much filler=good crab cake. Bruschetta was very disappointing to say the least. For $7 I would expect more than 4 small pieces of un-toasted bread. Soggy from the slices of tomatoes to the point where you couldn't even pick it up, topped with a pinch of shredded "mozzarella" that i assume they use for making pizza. Don't bother offering bruschetta at your restuarant if you're not using real mozzarella IMO (especially for $7). My girlfriend ordered the house salad with chicken, which tasted very crisp and fresh (their balsamic dressing is amazing). I had the shrimp and scallop penne alla vodka. While the sauce was runny, the portion was a good size, plentiful in well cooked shrimp and scallops. I'll need to give this restaurant another chance after I forgive the poorly made bruschetta.

wow I dont even know how to show my love for this place. It is my fav. restaurants by far in the phil/nj/de tri state area. I grew up on this place and still come here everytime i come home for a visit. Living in Los Angeles now doesnt allow me to eat pasta the way that i did growing up but its all good because now i save it for my visit home (which is usually twice a yr) and most visits i come to VALLE about 3-4 times per visit. I dont even want to waste my appetite on any other restaurant. Everything from the staff to the food to the ambiance is amazing. I personally love the crabcakes, the house salad and the tuna steak BUT EVERYTHING on this menu is amazing i cant wait to come home in sept so i can get some VALLE IN MY LIFE THE BEST.

Valles has reinvented itself!!! For all that remember the old pizza joint, forget it. This is one of the best places outside of Wilmington for steaks and crabcakes! My fav is the NY strip, with a crabcake on the side, can't beat it. Solid martini list and homemade deserts and ice cream from co-owned Reno's round it out nicely. Molten cake is my fave, w homemade vbean ice cream. I find myself going here at least twice a month, and I'm am admittedly not a huge fan of Italian food. The steaks are that good!

I am totally confused with the ratings some of the people have given this hidden gem. The high quality food preparation is second to few. The prices are fantastic considering how well done and consistent the food, drink and service is executed. I admit I probably dine here more than anyone that has commented, yet I have no vested interest other then my love for a great dining experience. The warm atmosphere (especially with the newly renovated bar and dining room) is what attracts me. The food and service is what keeps me coming back. This establishment is one of the few family owned restaurants that has at least one relative working each night. I have had the fortune to be able to dine in many restaurants in and out of the area and country and each time I do , I tend to compare my experience at those places back to Valle Cucina. The Italian specialties are fantastic , the steaks (Rib-eye my favorite) are incredible, and the Crab Cakes, wholly smokes !!! They are the best all lump crab cakes I have EVER had (I think Valle has won best crab cakes in Delaware like 10 times). Now the most sensitive part of my review, the servers. It seems as though some people thought the service was less then desirable. I have gotten to see them in action many times and in my opinion the servers are some of the best in the business. The constant smiles , the overall knowledge of the menu and bar and most of all the way they make you feel that you are a part of the Valle family. The bartenders are some of the best around, the owner hand selects each one. From speaking to them (again, I go to Valle frequently and usually sit at the bar) they all have proven track records in some of the most high volume restaurants around. But, don't take this review on my word alone. Go give it a try and while you are there and you are fortunate enough to sit at the bar and watch the "Phillies" on the flat screen, have a few cocktails (I prefer the DogFish selection on tap or a Ciroc Extra Dirty martini) and eat a great meal. Take a minute and lean over to the person next to you and say "hi" and get their opinion of the place (if they didn't say to you already). I guarantee that it's not the first time they visited Valle Cucina and they will let you know it will not be their last.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
