Found them on yelp when I searched best key lime pie. I wanted to get one for Father's Day since it is hubby's fave dessert. I called ahead to make sure they had one in stock, picked it up the same day along with a few cupcakes. The key lime pie got two thumbs up from hubby. Definitely made with real key lime and no artificial green coloring. Outside of pie coated with toasted shredded coconuts. The cupcakes (chocolate ganache, raspberry with white chocolate cream) were amazing. Intensely rich, moist and dense. I want to try the different cakes next. This might just be my go to bakery from now on!

The cakes made for my sons college graduation party were AMAZING!!!! My son is also leaving for the navy. We had two cakes... A chocolate carmel sea salt and a lemon with coconut! Both were outstanding!!!! We had over 100 people and the two 20 inch cakes were plenty. (We did not have any leftovers;). The designer made the UD logo to place on the first cake and a Navel logo for the lemon! It was perfection!!!! They were editable and everyone raved at their quality! Please use them for your next party (as we will)!

I have tried many cakes from Sweet Something's at various restaurants in Delaware and Pennsylvania and each one was amazingly good! The cakes themselves are very flavorful and scrumptious. I adore their lemon coconut cake the most, but other flavors are great too. Everyone else I know who has tried cakes from this bakery say they're some of the best they've ever tried. I've never actually gone to the actual shop before, so I'm unable to comment on the shop, employees, or parking. I can say that if any of the restaurants that I go to stopped selling Sweet Something's desserts, I would take a trip to the bakery itself. I highly recommend!

Desserts that Rival the Best of NYC I used to work in Manhattan - loved the work, at the time, but it's great and absolutely wonderful/ my preference to be home and working here in Delaware. Having said that, one of the things that I missed most about Manhattan was the incredible desserts in places like Washington Square. The great news is that I don't have to go to NYC to get incredible desserts anymore - I've found them here at Delaware's Sweet Somethings! Sweet Somethings has incredibly wonderful desserts! Funny thing, each time I go to Sweet Somethings, I always buy more than I intended - I can never decide which of their delectable delights I should buy and take home - and so I always buy multiples! I am always delighted with each of my choices! My favorites, so far, are the Carmel Apple Cheesecake and the Chocolate with Raspberry and White Chocolate mousse - the fresh raspberries are the perfect accent. And, the White Chocolate Bombe. Wow! It's incredible as well.

I just went to Sweet Somethings but forgot to "check-in." I picked up 2 dozen cupcakes for a field hockey party. The bakery is clean, there is off-street parking and the service is incredibly customer-focused. I really love the open kitchen floor plan - I watched the bakers busily baking and frosting various items. It was pretty cool. Oh. The desserts. Right. The cupcakes are moist and delicious! They are the best I've had (I love Georgetown cupcakes but Sweet Somethings' are better) and certainly worth $3.50 each. Bonus: a worker offered to carry my cupcakes to my car for me.

AMAZING! We used this bakery for our wedding cake and bridal shower. The bridal shower cupcakes were so moist and full of flavor! So tasty! I posted a picture of our wedding cake which was 4 tiers. It had three different flavors and fillings for the three larger tiers. The tasting was great. Large sample cakes of each flavor that we got to take home with us!! We had the white chocolate raspberry cake, red velvet with cream cheese filling, and a custom cake flavor of chocolate cake with a blueberry mousse. AMAZING! The cake was sweet and moist and held up well in the fridge for left overs. I will use this bakery in the future. Lee was great to work with and open to our ideas.

I had been on the hunt for a moist, not too sweet lemon cupcake and finally found it at Sweet Somethings. I'm not typically into sweets and desserts, but this bakery has me coming back again and again for their amazingly delicious cupcakes! My favorites include: key lime pie, carrot cake, and chocolate. I've not had a cake, but if I needed one for a special occasion, I would definitely get it here.

SUUUUWEEEET!I was so homesick for Charlotte, NC. And had purchased some stale cookies at another store in Wilmington. Then found this place. A perfect place for a really amazing cake, or individual tarts and yummy stuff. I purchased a couple tarts, they were about $5.00 each, very reasonably priced for what you are getting. There are VERY FEW places in Wilmington worth going to, but if you find yourself stuck in this city, cheer yourself by stopping by this place:)

Stopped in on a whim. The man behind the counter was very welcoming and helpful. Hubs and I decided on the strawberry shortcake for him and chocolate silk for me. We were told to let them sit for a little while to get to room temp before enjoying them. Both cakes were VERY good, moist and flavorful. They also have a filling, which I am usually not a fan of, but it was sooooo good. I would venture to say that this may very well be the best chocolate cupcake I have ever had! I can't wait to go back. Cupcakes run $3.50 ea.

Have since tried more items from this bakery and wanted to share my experience... Placed a large order for my niece's graduation party and it was another great success! Of course I managed to over-ordered but no worries, nothing went to waste! Picked up the order on Saturday for the Sunday party. Here was my order: 24 yellow cupcakes topped with buttercream ~ several times during the party I saw people sharing these cupcakes since they were so rich and decadent. A favorite with the older guests since they were classic cupcake flavor (nothing fancy-shmancy as my mother would say!) I took some leftovers to work and folks were raving how good they were on Wednesday (3 days later even!). 24 yellow cupcakes with chocolate mousse filling topped with buttercream ~ a true show-stopper. Continued to get compliments throughout the entire party and more so once my co-workers tasted them. The filling makes for a heavy and delicious treat of chocolate goodness. Again, these were still being eaten and complimented later that week. The staying power of these are amazing! Just refrigerate and take out about an hour before consumption. (1) large key lime tart - the entire tart was gone within the first hour of the party. Glad I saved my brother-in-law a slice beforehand and hid it well! Love the citrus flavor and the display looked great with this beautiful tart presentation. (1) dozen peanut butter cookies - did not get to try. (2) dozen raspberry sable cookies - A bit disappointed with these little lovelys. I think they would have been better eaten the day of as the dusting of what I believe to be confectioners sugar made them softer then I believe they should have been by the time I served them the next day. Made the entire cookie not able to stand on their own - folded in half as soon as you picked one up. Again, a labor-intensive cookie to make with the cutting, baking, assembling aspect of it. Left me wanting more... (1) 3/4 sheet brownies ~ didn't realize how large 3/4 sheet was - I cut the sheet in 1/2 and was able to freeze the other half for another event the following week. They are a fudgy brownie with a layer of fugdy-type frosting with mini-chocolate chips. Beautiful to look at and wonderful to eat.

I ordered coconut cream cake for a birthday party. The cake was the hit of the night, and everyone had positive comments regarding the quality and taste. I was very pleased with the work. I highly recommend to anyone in Delaware!

I bought cupcakes for my mother-in-law's birthday not knowing that her neighbor had brought over homemade cupcakes. When she told me about them, I took one look at them and then turned to her and said, "You're gonna like these much more because these are 'uptown cupcakes' that I bought at a fantastic bakery in Wilmington." I opened the box to show her the variety of decadent delights inside and she soon forgot the neighbors (those cupcakes were appreciated and eaten later). The picture (I've added the photo to the bakery' and the smile on her face says it all! I bought these adorable smiley face candles to top them which were right at the counter when checking out at the bakery. The cupcakes were a big hit and absolutely delicious!!!!

Ahhh-Mazing! I stopped by to pick up a few individual desserts for my boyfriend and I. He had the key lime pie and I had the caramel apple cheesecake. They were both so good and the individual sizes were perfect for us. They had a lot of desserts to choose from in the store from individual to full sizes and you can order just about any dessert that you can think of. Everyone was super nice and helpful with recommendations. This will be my new go to spot for any desserts!!

Im usually very lazy about writing reviews, but I couldn't help but write a review about sweet somethings! We get cakes from them for our office birthdays, and since we started getting cakes from these guys, we cant look at any other bakery! Their cakes are really over the top. I love the fresh strawberry cake. It made everyone on our team very happy. I will definitely recommend this bakery over many bakeries in Wilmington, DE. Great job guys!!

Sweet Somethings is a bakery that does a lot of desserts for local restaurants. They also have a retail outlet in Wilmington where you can enjoy some of the good stuff in your own home. My favorites are the rich chocolate silk torte and the raspbberry white chocolate mousse cake. You can get whole cakes there but they have also some of the desserts in smaller sizes for one of two. Their molten cakes and cookies are pretty good too. Super friendly owners.

I placed a small order for key lime cupcakes this past week for a lunch celebrating my friend's Master's degree. Everybody, myself included, raved about how delicious they were. I can honestly say that it was the best cupcake that I've ever had. I had called around to a number of other bakeries in the area and none of them were willing to do that specific flavor unless it was a particular day, none of which would have worked for the scheduled lunch. Additionally, out of all the bakeries that I had called, the gentleman that I spoke with was by far the most friendly and helpful. When I came in to pick the cupcakes up, not only did Sweet Somethings smell like heaven, but the store was really clean, and the gentleman that cashed me out, who I assume was the same I'd spoken with a few days earlier, was just as friendly. I just wanted to thank you for wonderful customer service and stellar cupcakes! This will be my go-to, going forward!

If you think you've never had their desserts you are probably wrong. They make desserts for many restaurants in the Delaware Valley, including the Iron Hill's and Riverstone in Exton. In the shop in Wilmington they have tons of cakes and smaller desserts if you want to try a few things. Raspberry White Chocolate Mousse cake is my favorite cake in the world. Oatmeal Cake and Key Lime are also delicious!
