I LOOOOVE this place. I recently started working in Delaware, ok not so recent, 2 years ago.. but, anyway, I'm just so glad my co-worker introduced me to this cute deli/sandwich cafe! All their sandwiches are named after dog breeds (purebread, get it get it?) And they're all so good. I particularly like the "Chihuahua" especially when pressed into a panini. Although I'm not fond with this breed of puppy, the sandwich is delicious! Read the ingredients and you won't deny it either. I also love the "golden retriever" too (and that breed too.) Soups and salads are wonderful, particularly lobster bisque, mushroom bisque, and broccoli cheddar..I like creamy soups, can you tell? The caprese salad is great with balsamic glaze, and pesto! (huge portion for just half a salad). Everything here tastes fresh and well made. yum yum yum. Puppy photos everywhere, and there's even a slideshow of photos of puppies and dogs that may have been sent in by owners. So cute! Definitely recommend to everyone around here (and I have been spreading the word). Wished Philly could open this in place of Cosi.. Ranking of well known deli chains: Purebread over Panera over Cosi.. (they wouldn't allow me to use the "greater than" character -_-

Honestly thought this was going to be an organic bakery and deli but turns out it's a play on words. Walking in I was so confused with why all the sandwich names were dog breeds but then I realize Pure Bred! All the dog pictures around the cafe give it a nice touch. Anyways, solid lunch. For $9.29 the breeders combo comes with your choice of two: sandwich, soup, salad. The portion was perfect as I got the Jack Russel and Cobb salad. The sandwich had juicy white meat chicken while the salad was filled with chicken, bacon, bleu cheese, red onion, and half an avocado! Not sure if they have a side menu for your furry friend but it would be awesome if they do!

Purebread Deli is a Delaware staple! A great, casual place for lunch with filling options. They have delicious sandwiches, bagels, soups and salads, and everything is very affordably priced. It gets very busy during lunch time hours but the service is very quick. Their breakfast options are great as well, and they are open by 6:30 AM.

Very solid menu. Friendly staff. Clean and bright inside. Great outdoor patio to be with your pooch. I agree with another reviewer that the interior reminds me of panera. Since I like Panera that works for me. I also agree with another viewer that there wasn't as much meat on my Saluki (AKA French Dip) as usual but I'm one of those who doesn't like a lot of meat so I was fine with this.

Awesome place! would go in the mornings to study and after I placed my order I was in the habit of sitting down with every intention of getting back up to retrieve my order, but they always brought it to my table! The staff was incredibly friendly and polite and I loved their food. Could not go wrong with their breakfast items!

Great lunch combo of half a salad, half a sandwich. Amply filling and a good way to enjoy multiple tastes in two courses. Service here is excellent, and the youthful staff clean everything and everywhere that I could see with great conscientiousness. One note -- the a/c is very effective, and my T-shirt was not quite a match for it! So I ate my lunch outdoors, and I was glad I did -- it's nice there at the end of the strip mall, near some bushy birch trees that soften the pavement and parking-lot feel.

Stopped in Purebread today for the first time and was very impressed! Heard for a while now that they have really good soups and sandwiches. I got the Maryland crab soup and it was BOMB! Huge chunks of crab and lots of tasty vegetables -- very authentic. Also got the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, it was a bit more on the mayo-y side than I usual like but still very good nonetheless. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I'll be back!

This place is amazing. It is similar to Panera but the quality of the food is so much better. They offer a 1/2 soup, sandwich or salad combo. I ordered the Cobb (which was outstanding) and a sandwich with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, pesto and peppers. It was really tasty. The lunch line was out the door but the line moved quickly and orders came out efficiently. I wish more locations would open. It is top notch. Lots of healthy options.

Good Food at a Decent Price with an outside patio so you can take your pup...I'm in! The menu is like any other smaller breakfast / lunch place, just with a dog theme. What is to be noted here is that they do the food well. Good Quality Food + Fast Execution of Order + Well Training Staff = A Success. They know what they are doing in the front of the house when taking your order and it carries over to the back of the house where your food is prepared. Just a good place to eat good food at a good price. Keep up the great work PureBread!

Very disappointed. Although I'm usually not impressed with this chain. Our sandwiches hardly had any meat on them and for the price of our lunch they have to be making a killing. I think they could afford to add a couple of more slices of meat. Most of the soups seem to be thickened with cornstarch or something, they have a gelled texture to them. Won't be back anytime soon :(

This place gets better with each visit. Been here about 8 times since my FIRST visit and review and its just as good if not better. The mushroom soup is unreal. Everything is so fresh, the staff is almost always on point, and its clean. YES!

Stopped in for a quick lunch after a great morning at the Winterthur. My mom and I split the Chihuahua sandwich -- the turkey is so tender and juicy, the bread was flavorful and the veg on the sandwich was super fresh. The other ladies with us had salads (a Cobb and one with walnuts and blue cheese that I didn't catch the name of) but they were a great size (not too big, not too small) and the lettuce and veg were fresh and crisp. We all splurged on a muffin, which were recommended by other posters. So glad we did! They warmed it for us and it was so tasty. When we come back to the area, this will be on our list of places to stop for lunch for sure.

I eat lunch here often and always get the pick 2. The sandwiches and salads are great. But I absolutely hate the little salad bowls they've started using for the pick 2. Please get rid of them. Very nice staff.

Love purebred! Sandwiches are great. Especially the jack Russell. Service is also an A+

I enjoy occasional visits to this establishment either early in the mornings or for some lunches. I find that this location is the most inviting of metro Wilmington Purebreads, possibly because of its interior and exterior seating and that it's adjacent to a wooded area in bucolic Greenville. Their muffins are always fresh and a highlight, although I wonder if they really need to cost $2.25. I've found that their drinks can often overdo the flavor, as with a recent vanilla latte frappe that quickly turned into a frozen drippy mess, and a flavored latte that wore its taste too strong. However, their combined sandwich and salad, or soup and salad, orders offer extremely generous portions for modest prices - much better than the equivalent at Panera Bread. It's very easy to make two meals out of them!

The best part of this deli is the artwork. Cute dog pics adorn the walls. The smell of yeast hit me when I walked in so It was just a latte for me. I guess yeast in a bread shop is somewhat normal, but no thanks. Just not for me.

If you love sandwiches, you'll love Purebread Deli. If you are a dog-lover, you'll love Purebread Deli. How can anyone not love an adorable dog-themed sandwich shop? You'll find really interesting and creative sandwich ingredients, which make it much tastier than the usual blah boring sub/hoagie place. I can't wait until I go back to try a different sandwich and their soup.

This is a super fun Panera-like establishment where everything is dog themed- what's not to love? Each of the sandwiches are named after dog breeds and there are dog photographs adorning the walls. There are plenty of vegetarian options that can easily be made vegan. Service was quick despite it being lunch hour, and the food hit the spot. The only disappointment we had is that there are no locations closer to us!

SUCH a great sandwich shop. I loved the diverse menu (which allows you to be healthy or indulgent), super-fresh ingredients, great people, SPOTLESS dining area and restroom, and a non-stop parade of adorable dog pictures on the monitor. Plus, they have unsweetened iced green tea, which makes me very happy. We ordered: DOBERMAN: Smoked salmon on bagel with cream cheese, capers and tomatoes (hold the onion and extra capers for my daughter). Simple, delicious, and enough for breakfast leftovers. COCKER SPANIEL: Avocado/cucumber based veggie sandwich on delicious multigrain bread. I skipped the veggie cream cheese and absolutely devoured it. For such an healthful sandwich, this was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture. HOUND DOG: Grilled panini with peanut butter, honey, banana and cinnamon. Crazy good, as you would expect, but not overloaded or superheavy like you might. Everything came with carrot sticks or chips We have a lot of sandwich shops in the Bay Area, but I wish I could relocate Purebread here.

I know this place must get compared to Panera all the time, but that's the best way I can describe it. I went on a PACKED Saturday (and I mean packed) and service was surprisingly fast. I also appreciate how friendly the workers were, because every time I go to Panera I get my head bitten off. Purebread is fast food without feeling like fast food. Reliable for a quick lunch stop while running your Saturday errands in Greenville. Also, their muffins are AMAZING.

This is my usual stop when I'm in the area (which granted is not very often) but it's reliably good food and drink in a casual atmosphere. The menu is mostly sandwiches, and every one I've ever had has been delicious. The bread and other ingredients always taste perfectly fresh, and they have really interesting offerings, it's not just the same old boring blah blah blah you can get anywhere. And they have coffee, including an espresso bar. How can you go wrong? There's indoor and outdoor seating.

I love this place! They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and combinations. Their baked goods are delicious, as are their meal deals and coffees. The staff is always pleasant and friendly, and the food is made in an extremely timely manner. I go here all the time for lunch. I highly recommend going here!

I love this place, has nothing to do with the dog theme! The sandwiches are fantastic, the staff are always helpful and pleasant and the muffins make the meal. Recommend the Jack Russel, but no peppercorn dressing, garlic mayo instead.

I had both breakfast and lunch there. Good english muffin sandwich with egg cheese and sausage. comfort food. yum. I also had a veggie sandwich which was just as advertised on the menu. bread was super fresh and tasty. The veggies were fresh too so I have no complaints about this place.
