This place is by far the best place to get authentic mexican food. It's better than any i've had actually in Mexico. Best margaritas too, if you even just want to go to grab a few drinks and enjoy time with some friends. Great service, and such friendly staff. If you have a chance to try it, you wont regret it, and you'll definitely want to return for seconds. Queso Fundido is a great starter and out of this world! And my favorite thing to order is the Huarache Margaritas. I've tried it with both chorizo, beef, and chicken. All amazing, but because im a fan of spice, the chorizo is my favorite. !DELICIOSA!

Maybe it was the takeout. Maybe it was ordering food within an hour of closing on a Tuesday, but I do not recommend this place. However, the decorations were nice. I had the following: Tamale Cheese (Average), Cazuela de Chicharron (Very Bad & Fatty), Taco De Pollo (Average but dry), Gringas (Good).

I had the beef and chicken enchiladas. Very tasty. The chips and salsa were also very good. The building interior is a little run down and the alcohol selection was limited, but the price for the food was right!

Always fresh ingredients prepared deliciously....the best chunky guac and ceviche this side of Cabo! And a basket of REAL chips. I'd love to see decor enhanced which the owner said is in the works but for now the food stars as it should.

Authentic and delicious Mexican food. This restaurant used ro be on Lancaster Avenue in downtown Wilmington and was called Tiajuana Taxi. This new location has a huge parking lot and all the favorites from their old place : delicious tacos, Mexican sandwiches 'tortas', real good beans, guacamole made at your table, and other specialties. Margarita's is behind Prices Corner, on Old Capital Trail, just a few seconds past the Bridgestone Tire Store on the left. Enjoy!

After reading all the good reviews, decided to try it out. Great, authentic Mexican food. Friendly staff and owners. I've been here quite a few times, and after about the 3rd time, the waiter knows I want the roasted jalapeños. Their Sweet Plaintains (not on menu) are the best around. Great frozen Margaritas, they make it from scratch, not a mix. One problem though, went this evening at around 7:30 p.m., supposed to be open until 9:00 p.m., doors locked, all dark, no signs saying closed. Called their phone, just rang. I'm praying they haven't closed permanently, even though they have great food, good prices and service, they are hard to find and everytime I've been there, they are dead. Call before you go.

My boyfriend has really high standards when it comes to burritos and Mexican food (it's his absolute favorite.) We're from a foodie town so we were looking to be impressed--Margaritas Grill delivered! Family-owned business that clearly knows great food. The salsa was obviously freshly made and beats every other place we've been to (I think I hissed when my boyfriend tried to take the last chip.) His burrito ("the verde burrito") was huge and delicious. Plus they had options we haven't seen anywhere else (chile relleno burrito? Yes please!) Despite all the chips and salsa we'd just eaten, we devoured every last bite of our meals. Everything was so so so tasty and the prices were excellent. Oh, and we got the chocolate churros to-go as our dessert--somehow found room for those while we were still in the car because YUM. We lament the fact that we do not live in the area or else this would definitely be our regular spot! Bravo!

I had a quick dinner here Sunday night, not a big place but it's cool, decent bar. I'm surprised the tequila selection was so limited but the margaritas did look pretty damn good.....I had the steak fajitas and she had the shrimp fajitas, dinner was really good but I must a suggest a shower and a change of clothes when you leave because we smelled like two steaming fajitas and that's not a good smell when there's not a plate of fajitas in front of you.....but all in all service was great so I'll be back......... Smell you later.....

Wonderful little family owned restaurant in Newport! Tried their food for the first time tonight with my family (thanks to other Yelp reviews). We all agreed that it was THE BEST Mexican food around! I had the tostadas and the ensalada margharita. My mother-in law ordered the chimichangas. My husband ordered a dish that included steak, refried beans, chile rellenos, and guacamole. Then we all shared the churros. Everything was delicious! I wish it more visible from the road or they had a large sign on the road. It's a hidden treasure. The owner even came out to thank us. Very friendly staff, great service, and oustanding food. We found our new Mexican staple! I highly recommend!

Hands down the best mexican restaurant you will find around this area. Everything is great. My favorite is the burrito. These people know what they are doing when it comes to mexican food. It is family owned and you will get that experience when you come here. Definitely worth the stop!

THE best Mexican food ever. We love Mexican food so we always yelp and try different places when we are on vacation, that includes California and we are always disappointed because we are so Spoiled. The verde burrito is my favorite but everything is good. Homemade chips, the best pico de gallo, best margaritas, chilaquies are to die for..... I could go on but everything is fabulous.

Awesome margaritas and very authentic Mexican food. The tacos and chicken with mole poblano were great. Affordable and tasty all around.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
