Great place! Food was a bit pricy but service was on point! It was odd that a bartender had to take our order because no server was never there but I'll give it 5 stars because service was definitely on point plus surprisingly they don't require gratuity like any of your typical restaurant.

Curiously empty on a Thursday night before a movie. Frankly, it was kind of dark, empty and bizarre. It was a bit pricey for what you get and abandoned dining areas. My friend chose the spicy steak which was tasty but had a bit of gristle for the price. I had an OK salad. Waitress was very nice and checked back regularly. I can say the place was freezing, I had to go get a jacket. After just this one visit I know I have no interest in stopping back. Next time we will try the chain BBQ nextdoor, at least we will know there will be other people there. Nothing about the place was appealing enough to try again. Two stars because of service.

Had a gift card for this place, So I got a rib eye, Not impressed, When I think of a place that classifies itself as a steakhouse, I expect something above average, I"ve made better in my back yard. Going to give the balance on the card [about $40] to the homeless guy that stands near target, he can have it, Will not go back

Should have realized when it was empty on a Saturday night that it was bad. Bad service, impossibly slow despite the place being empty, and food came out cold. Couldn't track down the server to pay the check (again, despite the place being empty).

Out of all the places to eat in this strip this restaurant is the best. Is a bit pricey but has good quality and nice hot buns with the table. Burgers are fresh not frozen and ribs were good.

THIS PLACE IS HORRENDOUS. The server will try to cheat you and put more money on your tab and/or not give your money back. DO NOT GO HERE. We had a party and it was a disaster. They cut us off after TWO drinks. It was ridiculous. And then they were rude about it and SCREAMED at us.

Horrible experience. Was told there was no wait, got here and had to wait. Appetizer and drinks were brought promptly but then we were told that there was a mix up in the kitchen and had to repeat our orders back again. Waited a very long time for our dinner. Manager never came to the table and that was really disappointing. The only positive was our waiter who was excellent.

I am surprised to see that this location got such bad reviews. They must be trying to get their act together because I didn't see some of the things that other Yelpers had complained about. I stopped in on a Friday night for dinner with my boyfriend and his mom. It was about 6:45 and there was no wait and the restaurant was only about half full. Clearly, the negative word of mouth is affecting them because the other restaurants in the complex were packed. Our server came right over to take our drink order and gave us a few minutes with the menus. He also brought over fresh rolls and honey butter. We did not order any appetizers, instead deciding to go right for our main courses. I ordered a 6 ounce sirloin and coconut shrimp combo with a baked potato and a salad. The steaks come with your choice of two sides or you can get one side and a salad. The salads were fresh and the blue cheese dressing I had on mine was good. Our meals came out shortly after. Steaks were cooked as we ordered them. The coconut shrimp was exceptionally good. Not overly breaded or too sweet. Everyone else was happy with their meals as well. We skipped dessert. I'm not sure what our total bill was because I was not paying, but I believe the entrees were reasonably priced considering the amount of food we had. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Would I go out of my way to come back here? Probably not. However, for a chain steakhouse, it was a decent meal.

Shocking service!!!! Staff had zero customer concern or connection....... Staff were too pre occupied in getting your order, once that was done it felt like they washed their hands of you, I finished my appetiser and ordered an extra drink which the server forgot about and was away from the area way too much......took them almost 15 minutes to get me water.....and a glass of wine...... Massive let down, should have gone to Olive Garden, or red lobster!, at least you know what to expect there!

Just awful. Our server Lara was nice enough - and thankfully the manager (who looked about 18 years old) comped my in-edlible over-cooked salmon. Dry. Awful. (And I asked them to cook it less than they usually do - which is Medium-well). Thankfully it was very inexpensive (we got the 2 for $25 lunch deal - one app, 2 entrees, dessert). The food was just not good - and the service was so slow. Like watching paint dry. 45 minutes to get the app, 20 more for entree. Will NOT return.

Didn't have any complaints about the food (it was really quite good!) but the service was rather mediocre and the restaurant barely had any customers at the time - on a Friday night - which surprised me! Usually when you hit any of the 5 restaurants in this complex, you have to wait for a table for a while... I guess maybe everyone else was at the other restaurants rather than at Lone Star?

Since I was alone I sat at the bar. Every once in a while a bad smell would waft by. Not sure what it was but nobody else seemed to notice. Service was fine...nothing great and nothing horrible. Cesar salad was great as well as the rolls they gave me. The steak and garlic mashed potatoes were mediocre. Overall, since it is next to my hotel I will probably come back. Other than I would look for a better steak elsewhere.

This Lone Star Steakhouse is in a strip mall (essentially a row of restaurants) off US-202 southbound. Northbound access is via traffic light at Rocky Run Parkway and US-202. Parking seems adequate, although on the night I went there, the parking lot was pretty busy. The restaurant interior seems brighter than is the standard for restaurants of this type. They use good lighting, which is great for me since I photograph my food, but maybe not so great for people who prefer a darker setting. In my view, service was pretty good, although the server did jump the gun on removing the bread basket when I wasn't quite done with it. Food was okay, not exciting. Where this place falls short is the peanuts. At Lone Star Steakhouse in New Castle, you get peanuts in a bucket. Here, the peanuts, if you ask for them, come in a plastic bag on a tray. It's just not the same!

Horrible service. I usually like lone star from time to time but the service was so awful my wife and I walked out without dining. We waited over 15 minutes after being seated for our drinks and the place was less than 50% full. Unacceptable. Will not return.

Wheeew where to begin. First the wait was 35 min on a Sunday evening that was not very crowded. I should have known there would be a problem when one of the servers came back to the hostess station crying because she was overwhelmed. As we waited multiple customers came to speak to the manager about the poor food and service. Once finally seated we ordered. I ordered my steak and asked for medium, it came out the consistency of a hockey puck. Why ask someone how they want their steak if you are going to cook it extra well done anyway. As soon as the food was delivered to the table the waitress asked us to cut into our steak while she stood there. I assume that this was so she could take it back to the kitchen if it was not cooked right. Ahhh "news flash" you deliver the food to the table and then you come back a min later and ask if everything is ok ( Waiting 101), not force the customers to cut into their meat under duress! I guess the reason was that she knew she would not be coming back to the table which she didn't. So in a nut shell the food was bad and the service was worse. Will not return

We decided to try out this Lone Star since everything else in this shopping center had a long wait. We quickly find out why. We are seated at a dirty sticky table and given no menus. The waitress shows up and takes our drink order(still no menus or place settings) we spent 20 mins waiting for drink order. A man, I will assume was the manager, was standing up front chatting up the incompetent hostess. Eventually the strain of sitting up really straight so that nothing would touch the disgusting table combined with dehydration and we walked out the door. Finally our waitress, who must have finished her smoke break, asked what was wrong as we walked past her on our way out the front door. Good job, you have such horrible service that people would rather wait 30-40 minutes at the restaurants on either side of you than come in. Then I guess they are the smart ones because while we were waiting for our drinks they probably were seated and eating at Red Lobster or Famous Daves. This was the first and last time I will go in there.

I have to agree with many of the other reviews. Service was awful. I felt bad for our server because he was overwhelmed, and the kitchen was backed up. Left him good tip because it wasn't his fault and he apologized many times. Have never gone back and probably won't.

Does anyone on Lone Star staff actually read their own menus? I have food allergies. Their gluten-free menu clearly says to order the shrimp without rice and seasonings. The waitress was on board. Apparently, no one else was. It came out...with rice and seasonings. Ok, they re-did it but by this time I was starving. They also served a decent lemonade with strawberries with absolutely no spoon, so I spent the entire meal trying to fish strawberries out with a straw. Not recommended.

If you don't offer me a drink, or even acknowledge ny presence within 5 minutes of seating me, I walk out. It wasn't busy, get your act together.

When we enter the restaurant, there was nobody at front desk .that was a bad sign...... and that was just beginning .The Restaurant was empty, but service was so slow.Server didn't bring any bread to start, they brought two salad which we ordered only one,The French onion soup we waited 45 min. and that was not even hot at all came after Entree arrived. We ordered steak med-rare,came well done, too dry. that was someone just dropped off not even asked who had which.and on and on....... we saw our waiter went outside to smoke.finally he came to check on us so we told him that was overcooked then about 5 min. later another waitress came and told us that they are making a new steak and another soup which is not even asked us they just did it.Of course we don't want any more and don't want to wait another 30 min. The waiter drop off our check and told us they took off our meals. We didn't complain that try to get free food, we just wanted to pay full price and leave. The young manager she looks like 18 years. old couldn't handle the matter right.. WILL NOT RETURN !!!!!!

We sat in the bar tonight. The bartender/waitress/food runner tried her best. She was doing too much and we were totally ignored. Food was ok but we would not go back. Missed the peanuts!!

Service was slow. Food was average. Don't like having to request your own peanuts, then when you, they make you feel awkard.

I think this chain might be similar to Texas Roadhouse chain we have in the West Coast. They give you a bucket of peanuts when you first get seated which is always nice. I got the rib eye along with a onion blossom. The onion blossom, of course, is super greasy which is what I would expect. The rib eye medium rare was cooked perfectly to medium rare. The steak, for whatever reason, lacked some seasoning but it's okay since I liked the "beef" taste of my steak. My one complaint about this place is the service. Looking around, seems like most waiters/waitresses are very young and it feels like the inexperience really shows. They didn't really follow up with our group after we sat down. The place wasn't even that busy so it was a bit frustrating having to hunt down the wait staff to ask for things. The food also took quite a while to come out. We also overheard the table behind me had issues with the waitress and the manager had to come to calm her down. Food was above average. I won't be too hard on the wait staff since I think the staff really seemed inexperienced.
