Fantastic first taste, and that was from their premade lunch deal selection. Really great flavor and portion size makes this an excellent lunch time value. Update: Egg rolls and Tom Yum soup were really great, the soup was delicious even after reheating. The Pad Thai could have been better. Although the noodles were done to perfection the chicken was tough and ill portioned. The veg and other diversities were likewise lacking, it was a heap of tasty noodles, but not much more.

Jeenwong is in the riverfront market. The dining area is shared by all the restaurants in the market. It does have a decent amount of room to hold all the restaurants there and has outside seating. Jeenwong has lunch specials til 1:00 PM which is 2 main dishes with either noodles or rice for $7.95. All the main dishes included can be seen in the front case. I went with the curry chicken, dumplings and fried rice. It was a decent meal the dumplings were pretty ordinary but the curry was good and flavorful. Not a bad lunch spot for this area as there is not a lot close by.

This is my favorite Thai restaurant! I love the fabulous cuisine that Jeenwong creates from her kitchen that is located inside Wilmington's Riverfront Market. I've been coming to Jeenwong's for about 10 years now - so I have eaten majority of the items on the menu. The egg rolls are the best I've ever had! Her Tom Yum soup changed my life! I use to order this soup once a week! The flavor has remained the same through the years, but the vegetables they put into it has changed. The Pad Thai is top notch! Pad kar Prow is also an excellent dish! I could go on and on about the many items on the menu that are incredible! Here are some things to keep in mind if you're planning on going. First, they accept only cash. There is an ATM machine on the premises. Second, during lunchtime, parking in the Riverfront parking lot can be difficult. Don't fret because across the street is free additional parking. Third, call in advance if you are going to order from the menu. They are on the slow side when cooking your dish. They do offer prepared items that are kept in heated trays for people who are looking to grab and go during lunch.

Delicious - and a heck-of-a-lot more athentic Thai food in the Riverfront Market (3 S. Orange Street). The owner and chef are so sweet and everything is cooked FRESH. The Tom Ka (I had mine with Chicken) was spicier than I am used to (next time I'll get it wimp-i-fied) but was loaded with veggies, chicken and goodies. REAL galangal and fresh kaffir lime leaves. The real McCoy! NB: No credit cards.

It was a very tasty take out lunch while exploring Wilmington's riverfront area. The food is very fresh and yummy (we liked in particular the Red Curry), and it was reasonably priced for the quality and quantity of it. One of the best Thai food we ever had.

FYI - parking can be tricky at the Riverfront Market during lunchtime. It's worth the hassle though. Jeenwong Thai has a great lunch special - 2 entrees and either fried rice or noodles for only $6.95! I wasn't sure what to expect, but to my pleasant surprise, the food was high quality and tasted delicious. The portions were also very generous. I had the fried rice with a chicken/shrimp/cashew stir fry and green curry with pork. I also had a pineapple iced tea, which was a little too sweet. It tasted mostly like pineapple juice. All in all, a satisfying experience! The market has a lot of other great offerings as well. FYI - cash ONLY!

I gave this place a go a second time, and I was very pleased. The first time (below) was a huge disappointment, but this time I came at 11:30...just in time for lunch. I ordered their lunch special (chicken with curry, fish with some spicy sauce, and pork fried rice). What I really liked was the server was very selective when she scooped the food out of the tray, as she made sure she gave me a bit of everything. The curry sauce won me over instantly as that was the first thing I tried. It has to be by far one of the best curry sauces I have ever had -- twas rich in flavor and aroma, and it wasn't watery or gloppy. It had a good balance. Everything else was delicious. I had the Tom Yum Soup (with chicken) to go. The soup was delicious but I wish they had placed some more edible ingredients in their (the chopped lemongrass in the soup was not edible). And they gave about 3-4 pieces of white meat chicken, which dried out as the soup probably absorbed much of the flavor from it. For 5.95, I expected more, but it did taste good. minus one star for inconsistency. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now onto the Pad Thai with Chicken I had. From the reviews i read on multiple websites, i was very excited to try their food. And i will attest to some facts like their food is fresh...unfortunately, i do not think my dish was made to order because my food was room temperature when i got it. That was a no no for me as today's temperature with the wind-chill was well below 25. In addition, I requested the dish to be spicy, but it had come out to be very bland with almost no taste at all. The "sides" I was given was a small container of peanuts that was grounded up into a sand-like texture, which was not enough. And the spicy sauce just wasn't spicy. It was sweet. Lastly, it was a bit pricey..10.50 for the dish On the upside, the chicken they served was tender and moist...but room-temp. The noodles were warm as well. Perhaps i came a bit late into the day (3pm) when they were preparing to close up shop.

The pad thai here is horrible and their portion sizes (at least for the price you pay) are even worse. The pad thai had wayyyy to much fish sauce, tasted very fishy and their portion sizes are embarrassing. Their location is also hard to find. I wouldn't write home about this place.

I love Jeenwong! They have the best egg rolls that I've ever had- hands down. Housemade, fresh ingredients, crispy wrapper, not too greasy. Outstanding. My favorite lunch there is an order of the dumplings, which are also house made and they give you a small scoop of fresh vegetables on the site. I pair that with the egg roll and I'm a happy girl. Today they were out of the dumplings, so I opted for the lunch special with the Penang Curry Meatballs, egg roll, and pork fried rice. The rice was flavorful without being greasy. It was topped with 6 or 7 small meatballs plus vegetables and pineapple in a curry sauce. It was spicy and delicious! I was pleased that they put the entree on one side of the rice, leaving the other side plain. This allowed me have plain rice onhand to offset the spiciness. The egg roll was, as always, fantastic. I wanted to rewind the experience and eat it all over again when I was done. The ONLY reason for my giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. My schedule has me usually arriving right at the opening of the market. They are always about 5-10 minutes late opening for service and they don't really smile or offer any suggestions. The food is worth the wait, though!!

Strange menu, very very very overpriced and this is coming from someone who has no problem spending anything on dinner. Service staff are not trained well and try topush the highest priced items at you. They need an approachable menu with more options. They only have rice, rice or rice. Come on. This isn't Thai food.

after moving from chicago to wisconsin, i went into withdrawal from a severe lack of thai food. when i was on the plane to delaware yesterday i realized my hankering for thai and hoped there would be a solution. jeenwong thai cuisine was just that. i ordered the panang curry during lunch time and was told it'd be 10 minutes - which turned into twenty or more - but, it was worth it. the food was fresh and the flavor was excellent. at $10.50 a pop, it cost a little more than i was used to paying for thai in chicago. but the portion size was good, and i'm looking forward to getting at the leftovers waiting for me in the fridge.

Just had the coconut-flavored soup but it was amazing. Intense flavor with enough heat to start a fire ;)

Best Thai in town. Everything is fresh. Hands down the best egg rolls I've ever had. The Spicy Shrimp soup has an amazing flavor - hot and satisfying. The green chicken curry is all white meat chicken with a nice kick to it; with fresh vegetables. Can't wait for the restaurant to open up.
