Angelo's is what you want when you're looking for the quiet little out of the way nook. Breakfast and lunch served with a smile and the tone of voice that makes you feel like you've been like family for years. You'll grow to love this place like your Grandfather's worn (but still sturdy) recliner.

This place carries the basics and they do them well. I get the sausage, egg and cheese on wheat. They toast the bread with a little bit of butter and use a tasty fresh mild sausage with a little bit of salt and pepper. It hits the spot, is quick and inexpensive. I'd highly recommend!

Finally made it to my Bookmarked Angelo's in Wilmington and wow was I happy ! It truly is a one of a kind place not much seen around here anymore. It's reminiscent of all the little luncheonettes that dotted the West Philly landscape when I was a kid. Locally owned/operated. Serving really good food in a kind, attentive and truly caring environment. Not only did the waitress serve well but the owner/cook came by and honestly took the time to ask every patron how they were, how the meal was and to not hesitate to speak up if anything was needed. Can you say "Customer focus?" Or how about "neighborly" It's located in a neighborhood in Wilmington with street parking. It is small with a couple of booths and 12 counter seats. The decor is in a word-charming. Take a look around and you will see a telephone sign from I think the 40's, an old cash register from the 20's ( the one they use is a 60's or 70's model) and I even saw an old soda fountain from the 60's. I went on a Tuesday and it was great. The coffee which was refilled often was one of the best I've had in all of 2014. The grill is in plain view and the cook( owner?) easily prepared a multitude of breakfast items on what appeared to be a well-seasoned grill. That's half the appeal of this place. My breakfast platter was splendid and I will be returning,

Food was slightly overpriced. You could get a full breakfast meal at a diner for what they charge for an a la carte sandwich. The scrapple egg and cheese on 9in sub roll was as good as they come, but not enough to fill you up. Home fries were old and hard..Their coffee is awesome, but the refill fee is too much. The elvis decor would be cool and eclectic if the place didn't look dark, dingy and cluttered. It could use a cleaning and a yard sale. Also they only accept cash (theres a prehistoric debit machine on site which i wouldn't trust) Theres too many options in the area to be that inconvenient.

Just a little corner place. Not even sure there was a place to sit down until we walked in. So you know, there is a counter (with 8 seats) and a few booths. We both had some of the best omlettes ever. No folding or fluffing. Just great ingredients cooked on a seasoned grill by someone who knows what they are doing. Very nicely done sir!

Stopped by for breakfast and was immediately greeted when I walked in. The hospitality and service is amazing. The people having breakfast were also so friendly, made us feel so welcomed. Not to mention the food is great. The restaurant is located in a residential area and was easy to find parking but it was also early on a weekday. If I ever visit Delaware again, I am definitely coming back.

Angelo's is a "one-of-a-kind" place to eat and enjoy conversation with the residents of the Forty Acres neighborhood in Wilmington. Food is good (especially the egg sandwiches) and the Elvis memorabilia entertaining, but the 5-stars are for the family welcome that you encounter, even if it is your first time there... the second time they'll greet you by name. Hours are a bit different (open only for breakfast and lunch I believe) so check before you go.

If you're looking for a true, small town, communal, vibe in a cozy, diner atmosphere, this is it. You walk in and feel like you time traveled. The owner and short-order cook, Muzzi, is just about the friendliest guy in Forty Acres even as he's busting his butt to get your food on the counter. My husband and I love to come here for a Saturday morning breakfast. Its quaint-come-as-you-are vibe always makes us feel welcome, and we get to see our neighbors, most of which we know more by face than name, from around the way. My husband always gets a breakfast special with scrambled eggs, home fries with no onion, bacon, and toast. It's enough to fill him up but not so much that you end up throwing half away. I hop around and enjoy scrambled eggs, french toast, and pancakes. My favorite part is that anything you ask for special, Muzzi will do, no problem. Extra crispy bacon, eggs on the dryer side etc. Bring your cash for a quicker experience, but just plan to sit and enjoy. The cook is the only one in a rush, so don't go when you're pressed for time, or just call ahead and get takeout. If you're thinking of moving to the neighborhood and want to feel the pulse, stop by Angelo's. You'll enjoy your meal too.

I love to try local mom and pop owned places - and was excited to pop into this place which I pass all of the time...I only tried their take out - three breakfast sandwiches (2 egg, ham, and cheese, and one w/ bacon instead of ham - and while ok - they were nothing special. The most disappointing thing was the cost - $19 for three sandwiches and 3 coffees....I felt ripped off ..the coffee was weak and the food merely ok. Over priced, not impressed. Hopefully it's a one off situation as the place had real charm....good atmosphere.

Best breakfast in Wilmington. Admittedly, the food is typical greasy spoon fare; it's the service and hospitality that keeps me coming back. The Muzzi's have kept this family run business alive for 40+ years and they have established Angelo's as a staple in the Forty Acres community. Their pancakes are the best I've had in the First State. Excellent breakfast food overall and their sandwiches are pretty good as well. Again, the food itself is not especially noteworthy; it's the ambiance of a mom-n-pop joint where the owners and customers interact that makes Angelo's so special and a fun place to grab a bite to eat.

Ok so I could be goofy & make fun of Damian & yuk it up but I'll just "keep it real", as the kids say. A mere 100 ft away from my door a classic 50's style Diner awaits between 6:30am & 2:30pm weekdays, and till high noon on Sat. Family run from the git-go and always friendly. The skilled and nimble, former drummer, mans the grill & slings hash to your liking. The food is the typical Diner fare with a few custom choices but ALL are prepared as if you were in your own kitchen... cept the whole YOU cooking thing. Prices are about average with a few "economically sensitive" items. My favorites include the Mild Italian Sausage Sandwich, Old Bay & Vinegar Fries & Chicken Salad Club (w/ extra cluck). I've been coming here for 6 or so years now & it is true what they say, "when you're here, you're family". If you ever find yourself in Tro... err, I mean 40 ACRES, this Wilmington staple is a must visit. Tell Muzz I said hi :-)

Mom and pop corner luncheonette with Elvis theme and a Cheers atmosphere. Food is good. Omelettes and pancakes are specialty. Everyone very friendly and a regular cast of charechters coming trough the door make this an experience, Dont go if you are in a hurry, but go to sit and enjoy the show.

Best "make you feel special" place in 40 Acres (Trolley Square for the outsiders). Everytime I walk in I get welcomed by name, and the service is always friendly, and polite. The hours can be a little rough, especially on weekends (Sunday specifically), but we all need time off I guess. If I had my choice I would close them on Monday's and have them open on Sundays. Regardless, they make great diner food, and they have a huge group of regulars. It is an iconic neighborhood joint, and I love the conversation with all the locals. A little moe expensive than its competition, but they deal with much smaller volume, so its understandable. My go to for breakfast!

Even thinking about Angelo's puts a smile on my face. The place is decorated in Elvis memorabilia and the staff are a bunch of comedians who truly enjoy what they are doing. Walking into here is like going back in time to the heyday of diners. The food is your typical fare for a greasy spoon; delicious but may harden your arteries... just the way I like my Saturday breakfast. I always look forward to days when I'm able to stop in here.

I have to agree with Dave's review - easily the best breakfast spot in Wilmington. You couldn't ask for a more charming corner diner. Great food, and the hospitality of the Muzzi family will make you want to come back again & again.
