We went to Grotto's Pizza at the suggestion of several of our friends, who said it was a local tradition. Go to the beaches in Delaware, then grab a pizza at Grotto's, which is a local pizza chain. After a long day of sun, sand, and some adult beverages, pizza sounded like a good idea. We were seated immediately when we walked in. Their menu is what you'd expect from a pizza place, different pizza options, create your own pizza, plus standard American fare. My friends and I decided to split a large pizza into 2 signature creations, half Tex-Mex pizza (I can't remember the exact name) and half Veggie bianco. The boys created their own meat pizza. We also got an order of nachos to share with the table. Overall the pizza was good but nothing stood out in my opinion. I did enjoy their Veggie Biano, which is a white pizza, better than their Tex-Mex pizza. Nachos were decent too. Service was fine throughout our meal. Though our waiter was busy with tables, he did manage to make sure our glasses weren't without water, which I was grateful for. Just an ok experience overall.

Newer. Clean. Staff was friendly. TVs at tables kept the kid entertained. Pizza was awesome as always. Their bar looks cool if only this was closer.

Having grown up in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Grotto was one of our favorite pizza restaurants. We were travelling home from Lancaster to Virginia when we saw the sign for a Grotto Pizza in Milford. At my children's request, we decided to stop for lunch. The Grotto pizza in Milford was just as tasty as the pizza that I enjoy when I am visiting Wilkes-Barre, along with the glass of Birch Beer that I had with my pizza. We ordered a simple cheese pizza and were not disappointed. The service was good and the pizza and drinks were reasonably priced. Although located on Rte. 1, it was easily accessible to the Rte. 113 side of Milford.

Food was ok but service was bad. Asked a bus boy for more water and he ran around looking for someone to get us the water. Really disappointed since it seems they have a Grottos every couple blocks in the Lewes, Rehobeth De area.

Horrible margherita pizza. The biggest problem was the crust, pale and flavorless. The gelato was also pretty bad. Can't believe this place is on the Delaware Culinary Tour. Skip it.

This place is a production. In a mere 1/5 mile radius I counted four Grotto Pizza's in Rehoboth. They advertise on anything that moves, and some things that don't! Regardless of their marketing, Grotto Pizza is horrible. The servers are unmotivated and unprofessional. The restaurant is dirty. The food is similar to Chuck e Cheese. I went with my sister and girlfriend and between the three of us sampled the major categories on the menu: sandwich, pizza, calzone, and french fries. While most of the food was passable by quick-serve standards, the calzone was a mess, lacked flavor and was definitely produced from 100% frozen/pre-made products. One redeeming factor is the attached bar at most of their locations. Cheap pitchers. I would avoid the mix drinks, as they tended to be weak and over-priced.

The food tastes pretty good, but the prices are rediculous. $9.59 for a "boli" I ate in 4 bites. $8.99 for the tiniest veggie panini I've ever seen. The kids chicken fingers and fries meal was supposed to be for up to a 12 year old. 2 small fingers and some fries would leave a 12 year old hungry. My 5 year old ate an entire regular size cheeseburger and asked for more food. I'm a big guy, but the rest of my family is very skinny. Good food, but not worth the $$ at all. They do have Sam Adams though!!! That earned it the 2nd star. My wife thought the Long Island Iced Tea was terrible. We "should of" gone to Medings seafood place.

First time I've ate at a Grotto Pizza, and after hearing several people recommend it we had high expectations. The pizza was ok, breadsticks on the other hand weren't good at all. Overall though, for the amount of hype it got I expected more. Out of pizza chains, I honestly think Pizza Hut is better.

Ill start this review explaining that I'm a northern jersey/new York person and have become a pizza snob from living in that Mecca of the thin crust. This place was okay for pizza south of the mason Dixon. The service was great, despite being very busy we were seated quickly and served just as fast. We got the bakers pizza that has five toppings on it. It was okay but there is something wrong with what they consider good sauce here. It was overwhelmingly sweet. The thing that was not okay was the prices. 17.99 for a 12 inch pie is simply too much for what this place was offering.

I was really drunk one night and Fred left his pizza out...so I ate it. It was probably the best pizza ever! But, then again what kind of pizza is bad when you're drunk? Haven't had it since but I'd be willing to bet it'd be just as amazing.

I fly out from Colorado to, in part, get some Grotto Pizza and eat and drink at Dogfish Head. This pizza is amazing and different, which are both great things. They use a different cheese (white cheddar I think) and it tends to lean on the greasy side, but hey, this is pizza people not a spinach salad! If you are in any of the surrounding cities (Lewes, Rehoboth, Dewey, maybe others..not sure how far Grotto's reach is) then you have to get this pizza. If you are passing through, no excuse, get a par-baked pizza (half baked) and finish the cooking when you get home. HINT: Get some 90 minute IPA from Dogfish Head and take that and your Grotto pizza home for a wonderful evening.

Good pizza with generous amount of toppings. Service was good even though it was busy. If we lived in the area we would definitely return.

There is no Grotto Pizza in Milford, nor has there been for at LEAST 7 years. No fear, there are plenty of locations nearby if you like it. I for one am not heartbroken by the lack of Grotto's - can't stand the stuff. It's a divided camp - you either love the weird cheese or you hate it.
