This restaurant is very nice. They do lunch and dinner only. The owner is a sweet older woman who still works! She's beyond retirement but strong and washes dishes and helps to cook. Always comes out to check on things. The cook/manager was very welcoming and came out a couple of times to make sure everything was good. Everyone was friendly and professional. Best part----the meal was DELICIOUS. I had the orange beef and white rice and my significant other had the pepper steak with rice. Who can ask for better service?!

It's a great sign when you walk into a restaurant and it's always busy. This is the way it is with China Wok. It's the best Chinese take-out in Milford. Personal favorites include General Tso's and Sesame Chicken and Shrimp Mei Fun. This family run business has friendly and polite service including the young ladies who keep that counter moving! If the lines are long, be patient. The food is great.

I haven't stayed here; I only live about 20 minutes away. What I have done is spent a few hours painting in their garden as part of a watercolor journaling workshop at the art league down the street. After we finished painting, the two gentlemen who run the B&B gave us a tour of the house, and shared a little of the history of the house with us. It's beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. Antiques and stained glass windows, crystal chandeliers and coffered ceilings, ornate carpets and hand carved trim. I've stayed in several B&Bs over the years, but I've never seen one this beautiful. Apparently they were featured in a book called "Painted Ladies", and they have a copy of it there, but I was busy gawking at the decor and didn't look at it. The hosts were wonderful and friendly, and youngish compared to other B&Bs we've frequented, although maybe it's just that I'm getting older myself. :/ One of the hosts mentioned that they may at some point start offering a stand-alone breakfast for people who aren't staying overnight. If they do, I'll be all over that! Meanwhile, now I know where to call if I have out of town visitors to put up and my guest room is already full. Their rates ($120-160) sounded very reasonable. And one of the rooms is available as a suite with two bedrooms and a shared bath (I forget how much the rate for that arrangement was) if you're traveling with a larger party who doesn't mind sacrificing a bit of privacy. Highlights, for me, included the pond with waterlilies in the garden, the garden/patio areas in general, the little nook in one of the rooms and the tower balcony in another, and the absolutely amazing antique details, from the wallpaper, to the lights, to the furniture. And the stained glass, almost everywhere. I didn't inquire in detail, but the plumbing appears to have been sufficiently modernized and I noticed that there were dehumidifiers in several rooms. I think I overheard that the sleeping rooms are also air conditioned, although it was unoccupied at the time, so if so, it was off. I added a bunch of cellphone photos that I took during the tour.
We stayed at The Towers for vacation last week...A-MAZING! We were greeted by Chris and David, given a tour of the property, and shown our room...which was beautiful. Claw foot tub, stained glass, and the most comfy bed we've slept in away from home. Great recommendations for places to eat and see, and excellent breakfasts. The only minor issue we had was sketchy Internet, but that was fine too because we weren't there all that much. Highly recommend this b&b is you are in the area..
One weekend my friend Ashley and I wanted to get out of town. We wanted to stay at a nice bed and breakfast---but we didn't want to be right in the action of the beach and tourists. This was the perfect location--and while we were looking for romance--we would have found it here. The decor is all antique--and very nicely done. We stayed in the Birds Nest Suite, which was so named because there was a little door in the corner that lead out to one of the "towers" and there were birds nests there. The grounds were really peaceful and the couple that owns it were really nice. They cooked up an elegant and tasteful breakfast to boot. In easy walking distance to a few restaurants in town--this place is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of Dewey or even Lewes.

i had an overnight stay in Milford and decided to eat at Milford Pizza based on the good reviews and wanting a casual place to eat. The smallish dining area has booths on the side walls and tables in the center, and looked like a lot of pizza places, except that the decor was nicely done. the kitchen is visible in the back, but not obtrusively so. My first impression was that the lone server needed some help because she was very busy and the empty tables needed picking up, but it wasn't a big deal to me. She was quick to bring a menu and a drink, and was very friendly. I ordered the chicken piccata and would have loved a glass of wine to go with it, but alas, no alcohol. The meal came with a fresh small salad with real blue cheese dressing and a basket of bruschetta. I pretty much ate all the tomato-basil topping with a fork, it was so good. The piccata came out nice and hot, with plenty of capers (I adore capers). I could not believe how freaking awesome the chicken breast was. It was tender, buttery, and had a nice subtle flavor. it was perfect with the capers and the angel hair pasta in a wine-butter sauce. I wish I could've eaten it all or taken home the leftovers, but I was staying in a hotel. I made a point to tell the owner/chef how much I enjoyed the meal. She said she trained chefs, and I think the meal showed it. If I ever get a chance to eat in Milford again, I will definitely be eating at Milford Pizza. I encourage the folks that live nearby to try it out!
We went to the restaurant this time based on what we saw on the take home menu. They begin your meals with homemade bruschetta, which is excellent. Then included in a pasta meal is a very, very fresh house salad. I ordered the chicken piccata which was probably the one of the best I've ever had. My dining companion had chicken franchesse which was also extremely tasty.. The prices seem ridiculously low compared to many other restaurants. Although the restaurant is in a strip mall, the new owners have made the interior look very pleasing, new paint and quaint decorations. The waitress who served us worked for the old owners so she was joking around with all the regulars. It felt good to be able to get excellent food at this price in a very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend- if you're looking for great food and wonderful service without attitude.
Excellent pizza & service. The crust was perfect & the bruschetta was outstanding. The place was packed, but it didn't show in the service or quality.

Wonderful small tacos, filled with freshly cooked ingredients. I had 3 tacos al pastor with cheese and a quesadilla syncronizado. Both were freshly made with very flavorful ingredients. There is also a salsa bar with additions for your tacos. The Salsa bar includes pico de gallo, an avocado salsa, chopped onions, chopped parsley, hot pickled onions, etc. The tacos were warmed soft tortillas filled with wonderful spicy pork, shredded cabbage, cheese and a bit of crema. You need to ask for cheese. Including a bottle of water, this wonderful meal was $8.25. The server was friendly and informative when asked about the food.. Cash only for now.
I was in the area to make a delivery and pulled in the Gigante mall parking lot. There were many choices for me to chose from but I have a soft spot for tacos so I chose Bibi's. I am pretty sure that they were closed but they said no worries come on in and sit down. I am glad I did. I chose a pork steak, beef steak, and a chorizo taco. They cooked it fresh on the grill and all 3 were very juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The Salsa bar was a bonus. The tacos could have stood on their own though. There also was a group that came in 15 minutes after me. They welcomed them with a smile also. Quality food at an affordable price. I will be back when in the area.
This gem is tucked away in a strip mall. Hard to find, since Apple takes you two blocks away, but it is next to the Gigante supermarket. The food is finger-licking good! We ordered tacos all around. Al pastor with cheese for the kids, I had the al pastor as well, with one carne. The hubby had the sausage taco in addition. The sausage was the only one he did not like. The others were great. The absolute star of the show is the salsa bar. Be warned, the orange bits in the red cabbage salsa are NOT carrots. They are scotch bonnet peppers :) OMG, it was soooo good. The salsa verde had avocado on it as well, really took it to another level. The staff is friendly, place is clean. The next time I'm headed to the shore, this is where I'm stopping for dinner!

Best burgers for miles around. Hand made real beef and made to order. Just like they should be. Absolutely delicious!
Your typical burger joint that allows you to pick as many toppings to place in their single and double burgers. Beach style fries are always a bonus. Small location in a strip mall, service was quick and courteous.
Tried the Caliente burger. It did not disappoint. Hot enough that you know you're eating something with some kick... But not overpoweringly so that you can't enjoy the burger. I'll definitely be back. Have to start training for the burger challenge

Service and food was outstanding. Went on yelp looking for italian food and tried this restaurant. So glad we did. I had a baked ziti/eggplant special with a side of meatballs. Ziti was good but the meatballs were the best I have ever had. My wife had pizza and raved about the thin crisp crust. Will definitely make this a stop when in the area.
Mama Maria's has been our "go to" pizza place since I was a kid and they were Atillio's. Always great service and great food! Your true home town pizza joint.
I would never have expected such good pizza from a strip mall hole in the wall place along the highway. I can't speak to anything else on the menu, but the pizza was excellent. The three employees (American owner/manager?, Scottish pizza maker, and Russian waiter) were all very friendly and helpful. So should you find yourself in this neck of the woods looking for some good pizza, this is the place! (Oddly, it is 2 doors down from a Little Ceasers, whose pizza I have admittedly never tried anywhere)...

Decor isn't much to look at but wait staff is warm and friendly, food is reasonably priced, and everything tasted great! Home fries were crispy, toast was toasty, and portions generous. Would return whenever I'm in town!
This is the sort of place that you stop by when plowing through Delaware at max speed. You expect to get some food and be out and barely pay attention. Suddenly you realize the food is lovely and the staff is patient. This place is clean and people are happy. It is surrounded by sad looking strip malls and corp[orate nonsense. Since so many people drive from the NE to VA/NC/SC through this corridor, I recommend you stop in and have your lunch here. I will next time I go back to the Outer Banks. I hope it is still there.
Relatives brought us here for breakfast and it was the epitome of a popular neighborhood mom and pop shop. Everyone seemed to know each other and congregated here for good affordable food. My partner had the scrapple and I tried it, a first for this southern boy. It was crisp and tasty, soooo much better than liver mush. I ordered the home style potatoes crispy and they came out exactly the way I liked them. They also had the option for rye toast which few restaurants do these days.

I gave this place the glazed donut test and the verdict is DELISH! This place makes WAY BETTER donuts than Dunkin. Why can't they have one near me!? The coffee was good too. She asked if I wanted cream and sugar, like they do at DD and I almost told her I would do it myself as I'm used to DD folks giving me just a little coffee with my cream & sugar (yuck!) but she fixed it just right, not too much of either and I was happy with my morning snack. The lady at this location was really down to earth and homey, and I immediately felt like I was part of a small town coming in for a bite, even though I was just passing through. If you're on your way home from the beaches, definitely give this place a stop! It's just before WaWa down the street, but stop anyway! You can get WaWa anytime!
