Who would a thunk it ?? My wife and I were scouting out real estate in Delaware and the clerk at the hotel suggested Georgia House. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere is a very good (great?) restaurant. We ate there two days in a row....4 menu items - ZERO complaints/problems or deficiencies. It was excellent in all respects. Prices - great, service - knowledgeable, fast and friendly, decor - very nice, noise - not a problem, wine list - VERY basic / no frills, beer - cold and cheap, bar - none / five stars if I could get a Manhattan. We shall return.

Lovely American restuarant - for for a budget conscious foodie. House wine was nice for its price. Stuffed pepper was excellent. Blacken mahi haji special was very good. Service was attentive

Didn't know where to eat, being new to the area and having family with varied tastes in town, but this spot was solid! It started with their sweet potato rolls, which tasted amazing!! We all ordered different things: ribs, crab cakes, Cajun pasta, primavera, pulled pork sandwich. I don't eat seafood but everyone who ordered/tried the crab cakes said they were delicious or wished they ordered them too. The BBQ sauce had great flavor. The sides were decent, but not overwhelmingly good. The staff was friendly, offered recommendations when asked, and very attentive. We'll be back!

Oyster Georgia house Lovely place! Everyone nice! The oyster ! Well since I was so close to the ocean , I thought u would have some fresh fried oysters!!! The oyster were heavily fried not lightly fried. A very deep mahogany the luscious creature speared cooked earlier and then reheated by microwave which was the reason they were over cooked and rubbery . I did notice some with a slight fishy taste on some! The broccoli was a tad over cooked and the slaw somewhat interest was swimming in mayo! I did notice no traditional hush puppies were served , but this is not the south! I will say to there credit that it was late on a Saturday nite and everyone is ready to go home ! I think at an early time the food would had be up to there stellar standards ! It's has great atmosphere and real southern tea! Next time the fried chicken !

Menu: fantastic comfort food. The cream of crab soup and black and blue burger with shoe string fries are an awesome combination. Atmosphere: Small to medium sized dining room with a nice atmosphere. Staff: great staff.

I had been to the Georgia House probably about 5 times and had a positive experience every time. But this last time changed my opinion of the place. I had no idea that they microwave so much. You want to microwave a cup of soup to heat it up, that's fine. But to microwave a hot ham and cheese sandwich or brussel sprouts? I don't think so. My fiance and I counted at least 4 microwaves being used at once. I don't think I'll be back.

What an awesome find. We were heading back from the beach and wanted to avoid the congested beach restaurants, so we stopped in Milford. The interior was modern with a dash of vintage. Casual, clean and relaxing. There were plenty of booths and some tables. Our server was efficient and personable - perfect for us weary and hungry travelers. We enjoyed the cream of crab soup. Creamy and perfectly seasoned with nice bits of crab. The sweet potato biscuits came out afterwards. They looked like cookies (drop biscuits) and were soft and fluffy. The fried chicken was good - crispy and brown. The sweet potato casserole was sweet and tasty. The succotash was a little disappointing, but not a bad thing to have with the chicken. The meatloaf was a large slice from the loaf, grilled and then glazed with a bbq sauce. It was tasty and a nice twist on meatloaf. The red skinned mashed potatoes were country style with scallions and black pepper. The coleslaw was creamy with a hint of sweetness and onion. I'd come back and try their pretzel salad (crushed pretzel crust with cream cheese layer and topped with strawberries). I don't think I've ever seen it on a menu, only at a picnic. That in itself is worth the trip.

MIL and I took the kids for dinner, not expecting too much, as my husband and I have been in (and quickly out) of there before. Things were pretty good until our meals came. Two of the kids ordered the chicken on a stick, which came smothered in BBQ sauce, which was not mentioned on the menu. It was very tough and neither kid cared for it at all. MIL & I ordered Chicken Parmesan, which, much to our dismay, did not, in fact, have any Parmesan cheese at all. It had a handful of small shreds of the same cheese as was on my Caesar Salad. The sauce had a decent taste but, was VERY watery. The waitress never offered us drink refills or dessert and the only time she checked on us, she didn't even stop walking to do so. Each server only had about 3 tables each so there was no reason to deny paying customers decent service. Additionally, despite my correcting my kids for being so loud, while talking, I could more than understand the need for them to practically yell across the table to one another, as it was unbearably loud, just as it's been both other times I've walked in. NOT the place to go with a headache or noise sensitivity! The food, environment and service left a great deal to be expected and we will not return. I will finish depleting our gift certificate by ordering food to go and sparing myself the headache and less than satisfactory service. We'll just have to be very careful what food we order, as well, and know not to expect anything great. : /

I'd only ever been here once before, for a catered event. The food was good, and I don't know why it took me so long to come back, other than that I love Abbott's Grill, so usually if we're in town for dinner, it's there. But... we were meeting a friend from out of town for dinner, and I sent her a link to both places and told her to pick, and GH was what she picked, so there we went! Our visit was at about 7:15 on a Saturday evening. The place was pretty packed, and there was a short wait for a table. The sweet potato biscuits were to die for. I got the ribs, my husband got the cornmeal battered shrimp, and the two friends who we met there got the meatloaf and the buttermilk fried chicken, along with various and sundry sides for all of us. Everything was delicious. No one had even the smallest complaint about their food, although I was a little sad that they were out of the Georgia Peach Iced Tea that I remembered fondly from my prior visit. They were also out of pretzel salad, but no one at the table had intended to order that anyway. I also got the peach bread pudding for dessert, although I'm the only one who was glutton enough to order dessert on top of the dinners we had.

Excellent food. Took Mom and the wife out for a Pre-Mothers day dinner. I have to admit it was great. The server was excellent and the food was pronominal!

Georgia House is a nice place for a simple lunch with friends. They serve typical salads, burgers and sandwiches. Their Cream of Crab soup is thick and delicious! Next time I'll get a bowl instead of a cup and forgo anything else. Their Pick Two for $6.99 ($1.00 more for Cream of Crab or Chili) is a good deal. My dining companions had a salad each (Buffalo and Sesame) while I had the grilled cheese. My sandwich was fine, but could have used more cheese since the bread slices were so thick. It wasn't the kind of sandwich where the cheese oozes out when you pull the halves apart. The salads were nice and fresh though. The atmosphere is pleasant and the servers are friendly. I could see this being a great local hangout for the tiny town of Milford.

Good food. Please note they don't take reservations (yet) - so you may have to wait especially if party is greater than 4 people. Kids love their baked pineapple, I tend to order their ribs.

Well the first visit was pleasent with only a few shards of shell in the cream of crab. The 2nd visit the hostess didnt acknowlede us for at least 5 minutes. 3rd visit found label sticker in my pasta. 4th and 5th visit waiter got the order wrong. Instead of getting a 1/2 ribs w/ chicken brst got full rack of ribs instead. When i told them that it wasnt my order they brought out the chicken and charged the premium for the rack of ribs. If you're going to get the order wrong dont charge the higher price. Prolly just go to Abbots grill from now on.

Best restaurant in town! Southern home cookin' including collard greens, buttermilk fried chicken, and a million other dishes. My faves (in addition to previously mentioned): fish'n'chips (chips are sweet potato), Miss Vicky's meatloaf - sliced and grilled and topped with BBQ sauce. AMAZING cream of crab soup. HUGE servings- plan to take half home!

Good food. Friendly staff. Decent prices. One of those places where the staff remembers you, and you can carry on conversations. A local favorite of mine, for sure. Never had a bad meal there.
