Though a humble looking place, Trattoria Di Napoli was in my way home and I really had a taste for pasta. I ordered the chicken Parmesan. Amazing. Meaty, juicy, flavorful and so cheesy. The marinara was fresh, obviously not from a bottle. The spaghetti was just right, Al dente, not mushy and topped by more of that delicious sauce. Fresh salad and homemade bread topped off one incredible meal. I'll be back; next time we eat in. Oh, and the cannoli for dessert? Fresh, creamy and sweet. Decadent!

Large servings of food, not sophisticated. I had chicken piccata which slopped all over the plate, with a whole bottle (it seemed) of capers, accompanied by a huge bowl of linguini in tomato sauce. Not sophisticated, but it was tasty. The calimari were average but not bad. One order was not correct (wrong sauce) but if you are looking for one of those places with huge servings that you take home for three more meals, you've found it. Believe me, I've had worse. A very good option instead of Olive Garden. More like a neighborhood Italian place, not fancy but down home American-Italian food.

Good pizza, good pasta, and prices are what they should be for a local family place. 9 out of 10 times I'll order the penne al vodka. Dine in or take out with this place and you get some good portions. Try it for yourself if you're in the area.

Top notch food and service. Come hungry or expect to have left overs....the portion sizes are ridiculously large

Nothing like lifting yourself out of a chair, swollen with food and legs akimbo like a pregnant woman after eating a plateful of the best Italian in DE. The eggplant is flavorful, the sauces rich, the seafood plainly fresh and never rubbery like the chains. The staff is ludicrously friendly; you'll be wished goodnight an average of six times. Lovely.

I came here after my manager raved about the food. During my first dining experience, I didn't like how my seafood pescatore tasted. I decided to give it a second chance, so we went back for lunch. This second time, I didn't like the gnocchi. My husband liked his pizza. The waitress was always on her phone. She forgot to bring my side of sausage. I didn't feel like reminding her, so I let it go & checked to see if she charged us for it. We didn't come during a busy time, so I don't know how she missed it. The decor needs work. Honestly, I don't think I'll be back.

If you're going for portion size this place won't let you down (or walk out without needing bigger pants). One meal there could easily be split into 3!! However, the quality of the food isn't worthy of 4-5 stars...don't confuse this with the food not being edible or good. It's definitely worth trying if you want quick Italian food at a very reasonable price. The service was excellent and everyone working there seemed very friendly. I will return to this restaurant.

The food is good, but the place needs an update and some maintenance. The wait staff was pretty good though. Overall it's not a horrible place, but I don't like to dine in there.

We always enjoy eating here. Good food, good service and it is clean. When the family comes over for a party at home, we do take-out from here.

I have never dined in, I've only done take out. The food is really good I love the gnocchi and the linguini with clams in white wine sauce. The pizza's in my opinion are hit or miss somedays they are really good and somedays they are not so good. I frequent this place a lot and enjoy the meals. I just wish they would be more consistent with their pizzas (I don't like soggy wet dough).

This used to be my favorite place for authentic Italian. Their homemade bread is almost exactly like my Nonna used to make. Unfortunately over the past couple of years, the quality has gone downhill. The bread and garlic knots they serve taste old and re-heated in the microwave. The gnocchi doesn't taste homemade, when it did in the past. The fried calamari appetizer portion has been cut back, but the price increased. This review isn't based on one visit, but several over the past year or so that has led me to write this review. I really hope the owner reads this and makes some changes back to the old ways.

This Italian American style restaurant was very intriguing and neat.Although the staff had a hard time controlling and getting there orders straight and not being sure which food went to which table they were still nice and they quickly fixed the problems. The architecture wasn't very good, they had an Asian changing blinder 2 feet in front of the kitchen door. The food was amazing and I mean AMAZING!!!!! I ordered the Italian Stromboli which consists of ham cheese pepperoni and salami. Once I took the first bite all the flavors just popped in my mouth. This is a restaurant that you should really go to.

Eating out allot for business I get a feel for many places and typically only share the places I find with quality food and exceptional service. This place has both- forget your in Bear and visualize a nice little place in Italy. Clearly, worth a visit.

This was a horrible dining experience and we will never go back. My husband ordered the lasagne and the ricotta was rancid. It tasted like sour milk. I ordered the eggplant parmesean and it was barely recognizable. It tasted like breaded bread, no eggplant was distinguishable other than a few seeds. Both of our dishes were smothered in tons of cheese and canned tomato sauce. We sent our food back and left. Strongly recommend staying away from this restaurant.

Food quality is inconsistent. Sometimes it's good and other times it's barely edible. The menu is your standard American-Italian selection of mostly greasy dishes that have little to do with Italian cuisine.

Super friendly and attentive staff. Delicious food all around our table. Quirky casual Italian decor. Portions were super-sized (plenty leftover for a second meal). Did I mention the food was delicious? My calzone was fresh tasting and perfect. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
