Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

Foods to Avoid at Whataburger for High Cholesterol

Cut down on your meat intake to control your high cholesterol. You must skip Double Meat Whataburger and Triple Meat Whataburger at all costs. Whatacatch Dinner may sound tempting but the famous fish sandwich is also full of calories and unhealthy fat. Lastly, avoid French Fries and Onion Rings at Whataburger if you are already ordering a burger or any other heavy meal.

I have been going to Burrito Express since I was 14. Im absolutely in love with their tamales, (1$ if ordering over 10). Can't complain there! Their horchata (hope I'm spelling this correctly) is delicious. The staff is always courteous and friendly. Nothing negative to say about them at all.

This place was awesome! The waitress was very sweet and helpful and the food was extremely tasty. Some others said that they were worried about the cleanliness of the place but I thought it was pretty good for a small space with messy food being served. I also have a pretty sensitive stomach and didn't have any issues after eating here. My wife got a chicken burrito and it was huge and tasted great. I got the steak tacos and it was everything I had hoped for. We'll definitely be going back and bringing friends.

Four stars for location, since Bear, Delaware isn't exactly El Paso. Three stars in El Paso, Denver, Cali, or anyplace else with a large and long standing Mexicano community. Fast and family friendly, the food was simple, tasty, relatively inexpensive, and served with a smile. Decor is takeout style with a few tables. I had horchata to drink, always a favorite, enjoyed the free chips and three salsas, had shrimp cocktail (always better Mexican style than boring American style, although they skimped on the avocado and I had to request extra). I also had the pozole, a hominy and pork soup that is a a personal favorite, although here it was underwhelming, too thin in flavor and the ingredients didn't come together like I expect for a good pozole. All in all a solid 3.5.

The food was great. We have been looking for good Mexican food since our favorite one closed in Fox Run. It would be perfect if it sold margaritas.

Fresh, tasty, authentic quality ingredients--- with items like cactus, tripe, goat & beef tongue on the menu! If you're feeling less adventurous, they have "regular" mexican items as well. I got a chimichanga and it was fantastic! Cheesy, crunchy, mouth-watering deliciousness! We were the only non-spanish people there, but we felt more than welcome! Will definitely go back!

I ate there last week and ordered the enchiladas verde, half chicken and half veggies. The food was simply wonderful

This place is my favorite hole in the wall Mexican place I have ever been too. The food is pretty much all made on site. They even make their own tortillas. Recommendations: Horchata - They have the best horchata around. Free refills if you dine in. Mini Flautas - Absolutely delicious. Served with Guacamole Gorditas - Yes. Gorditas. Seriously... Rellenos - Was never a fan till I had them here. Enchiladas - I love enchiladas and this place does a great job with them.

This is authentic Mexican food. We ate beef and tongue tacos. They were so good... Fast service and the place is clean. We live 35 minutes away but we will make this drive to come back here to eat.

This place has the best Mexican food around. By a large margin! Friendly staff, quick service, and authentic. I missed Mexican food when I left California until I found this place tucked away off the highway. You can't go wrong here!

Was on a roadtrip and stopped here after reading the Yelp reviews. I had a takeout burrito with chicken in stewed tomatoes. I'm pretty particular about my burritos after living in the Southwest, but this was one of the best burritos I have ever had. I also had the flan which was also good, but the burrito was definitely a winner!

Was in Delaware last weekend for a soccer tournament and had some time on our hands, looked up restaurants around the area of the Kirkwood soccer fields and this came up. After reading a few of the other reviews we decided to check out. We liked it so much that we ate there 3 times in one weekend, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Food was prepared just right with all fresh ingredients. Staff was super friendly all three times we ate there. Highly recommend the express Burrito, however huevos rancheros and sopes were all delicious - hard to say what our favorite dish was. Dishes very authentic, not like your typical mexican food that you would get at one of those chain restaurants. Can't wait until the next time we have to go up to Delaware for a game - this is now a destination for us when we are near Kirkwood or even traveling through. Agree with other yelpers that is a little bit hard to find and had a little bit of a "hole in the wall" look.

Came in at a weird time. Staff was very friendly, super patient and very accommodating while we ordered a really strange order and got vegetarian burritos in a very authentic Mexican restaurant. This very a very nice experience. The ambiance reminds me of a taqueria out in California. The flan was very tasty and the chips and salsa they had out was also very tasty

I went here because I read the reviews on yelp and specifically because I wanted a horchata. The horchata was fantastic. I also had two steak tacos Mexican style with guacamole. It was all very good. Hard to find , I live not so far from there and never knew it was there.

I would have given this place 5 stars but the area is sort of sketchy and I'm not too sure about the cleanliness. I went here the other day based upon the reviews. I got a chicken burrito and it was great. There were even little pieces of yellow corn in it; great for added texture. The guy who took my order didn't seem 100% with English; because I told him, it was my first time there and that I found out about them from reviews online and he just responded, "Yes." But the menu has a bunch of stuff including, what I've never really saw on Mexican menu's, a breakfast section. Also it looks like they deliver. I am rarely in this area but I just might drive there just to try their other items.

Hard to find a burrito as great as the ones they make here. I've gone to many places up and down the east coast, but I still come back to here

I wanted to try this place after reading the reviews on Yelp. I love hole in the walls, and this one has become my new favorite in Delaware. The waitress was very friendly & fast. We were given tortilla chips and salsa. My husband ordered a coffee, & she brought everything right away. I liked the service, because it made us feel like we were guests in her home. That's probably a weird description, but it's how we felt & we were impressed. I've always wanted to try horchata, so I'm glad they had it. It was very good & refreshing. My husband had the Burrito Express & two chorizo tacos. I had the Bistec Ranchero, which was a platter with flour tortillas, rice, beans, & beef cooked with onions, tomatoes & jalapeños. We were stuffed from all of the food. I also order flan to go, which I happily enjoyed at home when I didn't feel full anymore. We were very happy with our food & the great service.

Wow, thank you yelpers I would have never found this place without this web site. I called the place to order take out - I wanted a burrito. But I couldn't quite specify what kind of burrito I wanted, because my spanish sucks. When I got there, I couldn't believe I actually found the place because it is so hard to find. Look for the sign for the beauty shop - peluqueria. The lady who I talked to had prepared number 34 - which is some fancy burrito. When I pointed to what I wanted on the menu she was about to toss the 34 - but I decided to try it - and it was pretty damn good. So I went with it. It tasted like something I ate in Mexico. A burrito drenched in some verde sauce, with super tender chicken only as stuffing - served with the usual sides. Definitely coming back here again!

We went here yesterday, it has got to be the best Mexican food we have ever had. We got a bunch of different items to try. Everything was great all around!

I don't really review much unless the place absolutely deserves it. And well here it is. I have been coming here for about 4 years now and it's amazing. Every time I come in I see locals looking for food after a hard shift. Great food and service. Very authentic!!

More non-Mexicans need to know about this place! From the lack of reviews on Yelp, I guess not many. Hope that will change. This place is a classic dingy hole in the wall Mexican restaurant and by the name of the place, you'd think it's crappy Mexican takeout place with taco bell quality food but it's quite the opposite! Burrito has got to be the most authentic Mexican food you can get in Delaware. I've been to the Mexican restaurant in the new castle farmer's market but this place is a step above. I've been here three times with my Mexican food loving friend and every other patron in the restaurant were Mexican. Personally I'm not the biggest Mexican fan and I would never crave Mexican on any particular day, but even I would go here voluntarily to grab a meal if I'm ever in the area. You can get anything from shrimp cocktail to giant burritos to enchiladas to grilled pork with cactus! Most dishes come with a side of lettuce and tomatoes, guacamole, your choice of green or red salsa (I think the red salsa here is spicier), flavored rice, and bean puree. If you don't know what to get, simply look at the photos they have on the menu or those posted up by the cash register. The plate of food you get will look EXACTLY like what you see in the photos...EXACTLY. This really impresses me I've never ordered food at other restaurants and have them look exactly like the photos! For drinks, they have Jarritos sodas, Mexican Coca colas, and other sodas in glass bottles. They also have horchata and mango nectar available in plastic tubs. Flan is available for dessert although I've always been too full to get to dessert. No liquor is sold here as this is not that kind of restaurant. The prices used to be better, $8 for a giant burrito with sides. They've increased the price now by a dollar but they are still reasonably cheaper than other main stream Mexican restaurants like La Tonalteca. I would still go there for some legit delicious Mexican food over La Tonalteca any day.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
