I was very skeptical of Tea Light Cafe due to it being the only one of its kind in Sedona as well as the fact that the two gentlemen working there were not Asian. However, my skepticism (and perhaps racism) was completely unfounded. I ordered the chicken bun/rice noodle bowl and was impressed with its use of very fresh ingredients, including cilantro and garlic. The egg roll, known as a spring roll in other Vietnamese restaurants, exhibited equally fresh ingredients. My only complaint was that the grilled chicken was overcooked, but the chicken did not detract from the overall taste of the dish. The Asian-run places in the New York City area really ought to be ashamed of themselves. Many of them do not even bother with fresh cilantro and garlic. Perhaps such places simply need to go back to the basics championed by Tea Light Cafe. If you are looking for a relatively less expensive meal in touristy Sedona that is not at a fast food restaurant or a deli, consider Tea Light. You will not be disappointed.

A small vietnamese cafe on the first floor of the shopping center, with both indoor and outdoor seating Foods tried -Chicken bun: the marinated chicken was flavorful and it came with lettuce, pickled carrots (very tart), cucumbers, and rice noodles. Above average for a bun -Taro boba: tasted very powdery and they were out of boba straws (what the heck?) so we had to drink it with a regular straw. The tapioca balls were well overcooked and mush! Would not recommend -Shrimp spring rolls: very little shrimp, mostly lettuce and herbs, the dipping sauce was VERY tasty. Average for spring rolls Overall a good option for a relatively cheap (for sedona) lunch or dinner and pretty healthy. Friendly service.

Delicious & fresh selection incl gluten free and organic. Quality ingredients and very healthy! Best pho I've had!

Overall, I would rather market this place as "vietnamese-inspired" because I feel they miss the mark on being truly and authentically vietnamese. Perhaps being in Sedona doesn't lend to all of the classic ingredients that go into pho, but I felt the pho broth just did not have the deep beef flavor. The vermicelli was passable, but the pork didn't have enough flavor or char. We also tried the summer roll and overall just bland in flavor of the sauce. Being vietnamese, I am a tough critic. We were craving some vietnamese so thought we'd give it a try, but def would not try if you're looking for truly authentic vietnamese flavors. Service was very nice and helpful.

Ate here during 4th of July weekend. I ordered the shrimp pho. And my husband ordered the beef noodle bowl with the egg rolls in it. My pho took forever and was not very good. Only got 2 pieces of shrimp in my entire bowl and they charge extra for shrimp. My husbands food was delicious so I ate off his food and threw mine away. Oh and he tea was gross.

Pho is delicious. Fresh rolls great; skip the fried ones. The first night we went, it was full of locals and secretly I hope it stays that way. Prices are reasonable. It offers a refuge from many of the restaurants that survive here only because tourists don't know better and pay outrageous prices for mediocre food. I hope this yummy restaurant makes it.

Our experience at Tea Light was overall good. We each ordered the Tea Light Special which included handsome portion of pho (smaller than the regular order, but a good amount still), 2 egg rolls, and 1 shrimp spring roll. The outdoor seating area was charming, and our server was very helpful and friendly. The bean sprouts were a bit brown and the beef was not of great quality. To have pho in Sedona, however, is a nice luxury!

Location: it is only 5 minutes away from uptown sedona. The restaurant has approximately 5 tables in the inside and 3-4 small tables in the outside. It might be a bit hard to find, but I'll never pass up a chance to try Asian food in Sedona. Service: you basically order your food and they deliver them to your table. The first few times when I was here, the owner was running the show. Now that this business is up and running, the entire place is ran by only one lady who takes the order, serve the tables as well as cleaning up after customers are gone. If the owner is reading this, I want you to know that she is a good worker and did a very good job while you aren't gone. Food: I ordered the Beef pho and it was just OK. There aren't too much beef in it and it has way too much onions in the broth (and I love green onions). The beef isn't fresh and I was a bit disappointed. Nevertheless, the broth is very good. The green tea drink, however, is absolutely delicious. It has a strong green tea taste due to some powder they put in it. It is healthy and tasty. Rating: I always stop by here whenever I am in Sedona vacationing. I'll continue to stop by here again and possibly try something else.

Over the Labor Day weekend, I visited Tea Light Cafe for a quick sit-down lunch on a Saturday afternoon. My friend and I were cruising through Sedona for a day trip and we stumbled upon this place as we arrived. I love the convenience of this location. This is what I say: if you're visiting Sedona and are coming into town with your only nutrition being a breakfast eaten hours prior, it's fantastic to have a lunch spot waiting as you get into town. My order: a Grilled Chicken Steamed Rice Plate, which I enjoyed thoroughly. There were plenty of veggies and the chicken was cooked just right. The rice was also fluffier than a down pillow. PS: the sauces really tied up this particular meal nicely. I definitely recommend Tea Light for a relatively quick and inexpensive midday meal, as well as an ideal eatery for those who veer on the side of health-conscious.

This little cafe is tucked into the back corner of the Hillside shopping complex- it's hard to find if you are not familiar with the location- however, once you get there, a bit more confusion sets in; the register is tucked into the far right back area of the restaurant, and it took us a few minutes to figure out what the deal was- so you order from a small list of Vietnamese essentials (Pho, spring rolls, and the like- and not necessarily 'Cuisine' as the sign says), then choose from the very limited seating options (it's very tiny). Once they bring the food out (we had the what I call the 'pho sampler'- fried and fresh spring rolls and either beef, shrimp or chicken pho), it's quite adequate for the area. That is, the food is good, and good enough to go back for (largely because there is no other option in Sedona), but it's not bad to where we'd choose to eat Italian instead. The fried spring rolls were both tasty and greasy- and the fresh spring rolls were fresh, but spare- both the chicken and beef pho broths were good, but the noodles and meat were also spare- I had four slices of chicken breast that were roughly 1'x1'x 1/4' in size and approximately one cup-worth of noodles. So, to sum up, this tiny, awkwardly located cafe serves a basic Vietnamese menu, adequately at very reasonable prices for the area- and we will go back because it's good enough to satisfy our occasional Vietnamese cravings.

Started pouring in Sedona and so started craving noodles, an Asian thing. Came over for Vietnamese noodles and pork chops. The soup was a bit salty and the pork was bit too sweet but this place satisfied our Asian fix. The staff were very friendly.

If this is all Sedona has to offer.. Great self service.. Over all it's cater to Americans more then authentic vietnamese food.

Vietnamese is one of my favorite forms of cuisine and this was top notch. Very fresh, organic ingredients. Lovely ambiance. Wish I didn't live in NJ, otherwise I'd be back here all the time.

Have been here twice so far on our visit to Sedona. Counter service with fresh, modern Vietnamese food. Loved the pho and the fresh spring rolls. My friend had the pork chops and was super satisfied. The restroom situation is unique- so be prepared to take a long walk if you have to go. Nice patio seating!!!!

Okay, I'm a little biased because I have been visiting their Scottsdale restaurant for a long time...but I must say that they are the best Vietnamese cuisine that I've had in a long time! The dishes are exactly as shown in their pics and tasty. One of my best friends is Vietnamese and he has taken me to many authentic restaurants, so my standards are high. I've been to hole in the walls with great food and I've been to nice high end restaurants with overpriced "Americanized" dishes. Tea Light Cafe has the best of both worlds with its trendy and clean decor and very good and fresh Pho and Bhun dishes. I highly recommend trying them either for lunch or dinner at either location! On a side note, be sure to meet the owners if they are available. The husband and wife team are very nice and gracious people.

After scouring the depths of Yelp for a place to try out after our very long Grand Canyon and Sedona combined day trip, my friends and I finally settled on this little gem and were not disappointed. They gladly added boba to my thai tea and it wasn't super heavy or super sweet - the drink was smooth and just what the doctor ordered. My only complaint would be that there wasn't enough of it! The shrimp spring rolls were refreshing and hit the spot, and from what my friends said, the egg roll bun was tasty as well. If you want a nice view, go up the stairs onto the roof of the building (there are a couple of other shops up there, too) and you have a great photo opportunity right in front of you.

Big disappointment. I ordered bun with pork. My friend had bun with chicken. We both agreed our meals were bland. No mint, cilantro or basil. Just a bowlful of lettuce, noodles and pork/chicken. I doused mine with sriracha to give it more flavor. He asked for more of the dressing stuff to pour on. Neither solution helped. And to make an already miserable lunch even more unpleasant they had rap music blasting as background music. I would never go back.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I would never come back here if it were the last pho place on the planet. After standing in the doorway for a few minutes I was finally acknowledged and told I couldn't be served since they decided they were just gonna close. What kind of business is that? Why even post business hours? I was furious that I had just driven through Sedona traffic just to get to this place as I was several miles away, only to be turned around, with hungry child in tow as well. Good luck

We stopped here for lunch while touring Sedona on the recommendation of a local. She definitely steered us in the right direction. We had Pho with beef and an order of spring rolls along with great tasting iced teas. The Pho noodles were excellent and the broth had a rich flavor. There was plenty of beef. Although I prefer the more traditional beef with more fat, I think most would enjoy this beef more. Plenty of chili paste and sriracha sauce at the table to add spice. The spring rolls were as fresh tasting as can be with a delicate wrap and the teas were great. The owner and waitress were as nice as can be and the prices low for the quality of the food. Well worth a visit.

I was pretty impressed with the food since the owner is an American. We ordered the tea light special; the egg rolls were delicious and the chicken ph was flavorful. I would not give it 5 stars since I'm vietnamese and I had better, with all the toppings pho. We were looking for comfort food and this hit the spot.

Thank god there is a vietnamese restaurant in the area. And, thank god it serves delicious food. I had the pork vermicelli bowl, very tasty, flavorful pork and fresh crisp veges. The atmosphere is more of a lunch spot but don't let that stop you. Don't come for the boba. The drink is made from a powder, not tea, and the boba is of a consistency and taste not so good. I'm use to chewy-sweet-plump boba balls with teas, this boba is dry and bland. Come for the food!

Just simple and good vietnamese food served quickly. And teas. Not a large place and not a large selection but good/ healthy /fast.

Food was ok overall, but if you are looking for real Vietnamese, wait until you get back to where you came from, this is not the place. Chicken underdone in rice plates and very little chicken in their signature pho, and the chicken is processed. I am used to eating really authentic pho back home in NoCal, it was cold that day and we had an appetite for pho, should have opted for somewhere else.

My boyfriend are regular customers here and we never have any problems at all. We come at least twice a month and always order the same thing. I'll get shrimp pho and he'll get the marinated pork chop. Well get an order of egg rolls and I'll get a mango boba. And every time it's just as delicious as the last time we've had. The owner is always so nice and friendly and we love coming here.

Very nice clean place. Not very big but has outdoor seating. Food is not best Vietnamese I've had by any stretch of the imagination (I'm from Portland, OR with lots of Pho places). Spring rolls were smaller and wraps too dry. Pho was light on the meat but tasted good. My kids had steamed rice plates. One had had some yummy steak but was dry. Daughter had something familiar but was more moist. Gosh. I want planning to complain. It's decent enough for average person. I think I'm picky from eating higher quality in the city tho.

I really wanted to like this place but it's simply not great. Vietnamese food can be an absolute delight, but the offerings here are simply edible. The spring rolls were bland, but served with a tasty sauce. They had very little shrimp and it was flavorless. The healthy portion of herbs in the rolls also had little flavor. We had one order of beef pho and one chicken pho. Both were served with a side plate of about 5 wilted basil leaves and a bit of bean sprouts. By contrast, my two favorite hometown Vietnamese restaurants serve a large plate bursting with fresh herbs with their pho. Both the chicken and beef were bland and had the taste of old boiled meat. The broth was tasty in both pho dishes. The space itself is clean and inviting and the counter service was professional and friendly. The prices were a little low for Sedona. It's too bad the food is just not good enough to merit a return visit.

While vacationing in Sedona, we were looking for a place for dinner and randomly found Tea light cafe. The pho was super delicious- broth was flavorful and portions were good. Try the Thai ice tea. We will be back !

After having Pho the other night at Tea Light Cafe, I went back to try the Rice Vermicelli Noodle Bowl (Bun) with grilled pork. I am a huge fan of this place in Sedona. While I sill have my benchmark favorite back in California, Tea Light Cafe really knocked my socks off with their Vermicelli noodles. It had a healthy serving of vegetables, and a good size vermicelli portion. Some places load you up on vermicelli and give you some vegetables... Tea Light takes the healthier approach, more vegetables! As for the grilled pork... well executed, very flavorful and most importantly, not over-cooked! Ok, so now the rating... why did they get a 5 out of 5, because they exceeded the taste and presentation of my favorite location "back home!" I look forward to many more fantastic meals here at Tea Light Cafe in Sedona! One note to Pho lovers, if you like tripe and / or tendon in your Pho, I am sad to report that Tea Light Cafe does not have those in their Pho. It's understandable to me; Sedona is a small community, and those just aren't the normal types of things people would eat. I will definitely order the Pho here again even though it is missing those 2 ingredients which I enjoy in my Pho. Happy Eating!

Great little addition to Sedona, Arizona Although restrooms are managed by the Hill Side Plaza (Poorly), the restaurant staff and the food has always been high quality, consistently tasty and generous. Hard to beat this place for a healthy alternative. If your looking for a taste sensation at a reasonable price try the soups, pork chops, spring rolls. Everything is so good. I try and go at least once a month.

I've spent some time in Seattle with a wide variety of Pho and Bubble tea (affectionately named), and was delighted when this little cafe opened up recently. Great place for a chic fast lunch or some outdoor dining. Very friendly owners, also with a Scottsdale location. Really great food for a reasonable price. A fun, light and fresh go to in Sedona near the "Y" at Hillside.

This is a really nice, clean, small place. We sat outside to enjoy the cool air and enjoy the mountain view. My wife and I had their Pho combo. It was fresh and delicious. The owner served us a d made sure we were done with our spring and egg rolls before bringing the Pho. He wanted to make sure it would be hot for us. As we talked with the owner he mentioned he had another place in Scottsdale. Turns out we have eaten there as well a few times. If your in Sedona and want some great Vietnamese food this is the place to go.

Delicious! Fresh, quick, generous and reasonably-priced Vietnamese food. My sisters and I shared a big yummy bowl of bun with egg rolls and flavorful marinated beef and a nourishing bowl of shrimp pho. We are so glad we found this spot, just bummed we didn't find it until our last day in town!

Have enjoyed 2 lunches this week at Tea Light Café in Hillside Plaza, Sedona, AZ. The Vietnamese food is fresh, tasty and healthy. Many items Vegetarian and Gluten Free. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

The food is average. I come from Los Angeles and I know what authentic Vietnamese food is. The people work there are not Vietnamese, that's probably why. The price is a bit over comparing to other vietnamese place I went before, but it's a tourist area so you can expect that. The place is a bit understaffed. When I arrived, all three tables outside the store have not been cleaned. Some tables in the stores are not cleaned as well. There is just one waiter there who also works as cashier, so I think he has already done his best. The bottom line: If you really want to have vietnamese food at this remote place, go for it, but don't expect it's the same or similar cuisine you have at other vietnamese place. For me, I would not come back and will probably choose something else.

We love the Tea Light Cafe! We first met Chris and his sweet family at their Scottsdale location and will always eat here when we visit Sedona! Their food is always fresh and delicious! We love their Pho & Bun! The freshest ingredients and authentic cuisine, we always invite our friends as well! Love this local family cafe!

During our last month's visit to Sedona, we were quite disappointed with the eateries we tried so this time we did our homework ahead of time and found out one of our favorites had opened a new location in Sedona. We were so excited to find Tea light located just across the street from where we stayed! My husband and I both had the Tea Light Special with vegetarian Pho. I also had Taro Boba as a dessert. Our meal, service and overall experience at the Sedona location was as great as it has always been at the Scottsdale location. Tea Light Cafe is your choice in Sedona if you are craving for fresh, healthy and delicious meal that is always consistent. While other restaurants in Sedona will leave you feeling heavy and lethargic, after a meal at Tea Light will leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied. It is truly one of our favorite restaurants in Scottsdale and now in Sedona as well!
