Very cool venue, smooth nightclub sorta feel. We didn't sit in the music room, which had an $8 cover charge. We sat nearby and could hear it all anyway, at a pleasant volume. The artist had an unusual range of musical types and she was good. We tried to order from the bar and the place was mostly empty. The bartender brought our drinks with menus but spent the rest of the time talking to other patrons, making drinks for the servers, and stacking glasses on the counter. Finally we moved and got a table. The food was very good. We just wanted snacks and dessert. I had the hummus plate. I know what you're thinking--meh, it's just hummus. But this was REALLY good hummus with the best olives I've ever eaten. My husband had the chicken lettuce wraps and raved about them. We shared a cheesecake which was better than I even expected. Server was friendly and helpful, but not intrusive--just the way I like it.

Great place to see a show. Very small intimate venue. The food is also not the typical bar food. The place has 2 rooms. First room is the "bar". The next room is more of a restaurant, this is where the stage is. It's a pretty cool set up. I've been there 2 times & both time service was good. If you want to go somewhere with good food that's not too expensive (which can be tricky in Sedona) than check this place out. It is also a great place to catch a band or just have a few drinks.

Loved this place. The view, the service, the food...all 5 star! What could be better on a chilly night than sitting on the patio, sipping wine after a lovely meal, watching the sun set over the red rocks and being warmed by a heater?

This place has some great views, good music, but that's about where the good parts about it end. We ordered what sounded like a lovely cheese platter to start our meal. Unfortunately after waiting for a while and not even seeing our waitress, she informed us our appetizer was accidentally delivered to another table. Mistakes happen, but what really rubbed me the wrong way was that they didn't put any effort into rectifying the situation. They could have offered us something, not that we need freebies, but it at least shows that you care enough to do something. We got nothing except an "oops our bad" and continued on with our meal. When we received our food, it turned out to be pretty cold. I ordered fries and my girlfriend ordered mashed potatoes, and both of those items were very cold. They ended up offering us three dollars off for the cold entrees, but I didn't feel like this made up for the bad experience. I know we aren't alone because a family of four left food on the table and took off. I didn't hear the reason why, but I assume they had a similarly unpleasant experience here. This is a great place if you want a view and maybe some wine, but absolutely don't get anything they prepare. It won't turn out well and the server won't work to make the situation better.

I really loved this place. Very stunning views of the red rock if you chose to sit at the balcony. The food was very good and plentiful. The service was top notch and the server was very friendly. It's one of the most beautiful and romantic places that I've ever been to. Definitely a worthy spot to take your loved one for a romantic dinner.

We had dinner here a couple weeks ago, music and view. We had appetizer of chicken lettuce wrap. For entree we had steak, hubby had NY steak and I had 6oz filet mignon. It's a bit pricey but reasonable. Great for a first night out!

Based on the name I wasn't expecting anything great. It sounded a bit touristy to me, like something I'd find in Times Square. But apparently that is just because I'm a jaded New Yorker. The food was great. Ribs were fall off the bone, flat bread delicious, and everything tasted very fresh. I would highly recommend this place. Hoping to go back in the evening to catch some music, we went a bit too early.

I give it a 3 for the view & drinks... Since you can't mess up that. I'm not a picky eater nor am I the one to send back my food. But my steak was THAT bad so I did. Very bland and chewy, like my 13 year old sister was cooking for the first time. No flavor what so every, like your cooking for a convalescent home... DO come for the live music, patio view & drinks.

Decent food, nice outdoor view, but doesn't take American Express. I won't recommend or return to this place because of that.

An experience my wife and I had at Sound Bites has driven me to post my first yelp. I'm a bit old for this social media thing and I hope I am not too long winded. Both my wife and I are retired, and are now "locals," and this was not the first time we have dined at Sound Bites over the last couple of years. Last night, as usual, we went in, had fantastic service, and the food was perfectly prepared -- What happened next left the two of us, and the two tables near by, fidgeting nervously. We heard someone speaking to someone else in a rude, arrogant, aggressive and demeaning manner. We looked over and saw that, not only could we hear it but it was happening right out in one of the dining areas and not even out of view. We also recognized the arrogant individual as the white haired man we saw behind the bar when we came in so we naturally assumed it was the bartender who was chastising one of the servers. Let me be clear about this... Speaking is putting it too politely; what I mean to say is that the individual was being rude and LOUD. Had I been on the receiving end of the vitriol I would have gone directly to a manager. In any case, when I asked my waiter why the manager allowed such behavior he sheepishly responded that the loud and rude man actually WAS the manager and apologized, profusely, for the disturbance. Our waiter tried to make polite excuses but the damage had already been done. We were going to call for the owner today so I asked for the belligerent man's name and found that it is Anthony. At this point, though, I do not want to go through a hostess to get transferred to a manager (possibly Anthony) to finally, if ever, get to the owner. We have hopes that the owner of the restaurant lets Anthony know that this type of behavior does not create a comfortable dining experience for patrons. A manager should instill, even in the most distressing of situations, an appearance of calm and control. Additionally, it is incredibly unprofessional to treat an employee with so little respect. If an employee is not living up to task, train them. If they do not, or cannot learn, let them go with dignity. If he talks like this in his dining room I cannot imagine what he says when he is not in public view. All things aside, I would highly recommend Sound Bites were it not for this particular situation and I hope that it can get addressed. Sedona is a rather small town so we will probably give the establishment another try at some point. On any other night I would give more stars but this event took it squarely down to two and a half. I rounded up since I do not want to see the business get too poor of a reputation based on one man's actions. Service 4 Stars View 5 Stars Food 3 Stars Being forced to watch a manager treat an employee like dirt cannot be quantified.

This was our first time to Sedona as well as our first time to Sound Bites. The wait staff was great as was the food. The only thing that keeps me from giving Sound Bites a five Star review was the arrogance of the manager Anthony. Someone needs to inform him that the idea is to have repeat customers. He has insured that we never return.

The view is better than the food. The menu is short and doesn't have much variety. Service was ok. Not sure if a second visit is in my future. Although the hummus and the prickly pear margaritas were pretty good.

Walked in at 730pm, nearly empty, and couldn't get an outdoor table. Even inside table was an ordeal, need better service at the door;-(

This was our first time to Sedona and while driving through we passed by this Grill at lunchtime and noted it's location. We were very excited to go in and have some lunch and enjoy the view. The scenery is absolutely breath taking from their outside dining area. A real treat. Go for the view if nothing else. My wife ordered the Grilled 6oz Steak Skewers (ordered Well done) on a bed of rice. It was $24. I had the Bacon Black n Bleu Burger (ordered medium) with small cup of garlic string fries $18. The bacon on this sandwhich is amazing by itself!! My wife had a 6oz Glass of the house Reisling for $9 and I had a glass of Kilt Lifter for $8. My wife's skewers came out fairly rare and my burger came out fairly well done. Obviously the cook/chef swapped the order so my wife powered through two of the three pieces of bloody steak and I went through two glasses of water eating the rather dry Burger. I drank both mine and my wife's water as the waiter didn't return for some time to see how our meal was or to fill our glasses. We showed the waiter her rare steak and my well done burger and he blamed it on the chef and did nothing about it, just kinda shook it off like no biggie. We of course noted the rather expensive lunch menu before we ordered but considering the view, and very few people dining and the quiet atmosphere we agreed it was going to be worth it. $62 for lunch which set a new record for us, however the meal/service wasn't record setting by a long shot. This could've easily been 4 stars had the circumstances been reversed but when you pay $62 for lunch no less, you want it right. We will probably return but will limit it to drinks and apps simply because I'm sentimental and absolutely enjoyed the time spent with my wife.

Overpriced, not good service. Ordered a $46.00 filet mingnon medium and salmon. The steak was not flavorful and it was dry. The rice ordered with the salmon was cold. Avoid this place. Go to your hotel and burn $20 dollar bills you will have a better time.

Great views friendly staff. We eat there often and have never been disappointed. Easy access and walking distance from downtown SEDONA. Free parking. Spectacular views

Can't beat the view. Be a savvy vet and call ahead to request a table by the window. If you want to be a baller, you can double up and ask for the live music / view combo table. The food isn't fine dining, but that's not what it's trying to be. It's all around solid. Ribs were great - got one bite of a habanero seed in the sauce that knocked the socks off my face, and I loved it. Chicken is also choice.

I would not recommend this place. Over rated a rip off. Save ur money not worth it U can find the same good for 1/4 the price. Don't fall for it !!!

The food here was nothing special at all. While the portions were large, it took ages to get out, and I'm not sure what the concept of the food was at all. The place reminded me of a funk Hard Rock Cafe, but with a terrible bread basket. But the service was very nice and the prices were reasonable.

Came to this place kinda a late about 8 and couldn't get a seating outside. We sat inside close to the the music room. Surprising the volume from the room wasn't that loud and added to the dining experience. The family had a lobster and mango salad.(which my son devoured), I had the baby back ribs with mashed potates and zuichini and squash (couldn't complain about this meal). Wife had the grilled salmon (she didn't complain so it must've been good. Place was empty so service was good. Only drawback might be a little pricey

I just stopped in for a drink. The place looks pretty nice and even though I was in summer attire, I would recommend you dress up just a little (not shorts, flip flops, and a T like I had on). They regularly have live music venues and you can purchase a combination dinner/show package (price varies). Since I didn't try the food, I cannot comment on it...from the bar area, I could hear the music and it sounded pretty good. Only issue I had was accidentally being short changed when I paid with a $20 and only received change for a $10...of course, I didn't realize this until I left...upon return, the issue was cleared up without any problems.

Our party of 15 was looking for a bar to have some drinks at after dinner and were able to find one of the few places in Sedona that is open past 10! Sound bites was definitely hard to find, as it was tucked in the back of a shopping center next to the Hyatt. There were only about 4 other people in the bar when we arrived so our large group may have been overwhelming to the staff. There was one bartender on duty and though she served us fairly quick, we did not enjoy the service at all. She acted like we were a nuisance and that she was annoyed to be taking our business. We spent over $200 on the bar tab and expected some better customer service. Despite her bad attitude, the ambiance and music theme were cool and the drinks were decent!

The menu is just blah and it is overpriced. I got a burger. For $14 you would hope it was amazing. It was dry. My wife took 2 bites of hers. The surf and turf looked like a good idea but they are offering appetiZer portions for entree prices. Never going back. The buns on the burger were good and the fries were good. Besides that save your money. One thing I will say is that it is about the only hong going on at night in Sedona. Music was fun at least. Would go back for the entertainment but not the food.

  • Doug S.

The nice view gets this place 2 stars and the kind service. Food was WAY overpriced. $35 for a NY Strip that tasted like nothing. As another reviewer said "It was like her 13 year old sister cooked a steak for her first time." Spot on, wish i seen it before I walked in. The wild rice that came with the steak was UNREAL. Unreal, as in idk how you could mess rice up that bad, unreal. It tasted like they took uncooked rice and splashed some water on it and threw it on the plate to serve me. Garlic mash was good though. BEWARE, if you want good eats, look elsewhere.

Food was edible but absolutely nothing exciting. Drawn in by their Easter menu, which was a flyer circulated by the Hyatt Pinion Pointe. I was excited by their offering of Prime Rib, only to be told that it was "still cooking" when I tried to order it. 5 lunch meals/drinks + one beer = &105!

Good food. Great garlic fries and sliders but over priced for atmosphere and portion size. One of the only places open late with a band in sedona

This was our first stop for our day trip to Sedona and it was great. The decor is really cool and they always have live music at night with great performers. We didn't get to see anything since it was lunch, but everyone said it was an awesome spot and one of the only places to offer live music. We both had a cocktail and both ordered the chop salad. It was huge and delicious. The patio was very nice and we enjoyed lounging out there until we were ready to be adventurous.

This place was very cool, our server was so nice very polite and knowledgeable. My food was alright i had the prime rib special not really any flavor to it, my husband got the black and bleu cheese burger that was soooo good so we traded, he loved mine i loved his dish lol, and the Nice server brought me out a birthday dessert soooooo good! This place is pretty neat!

We're locals, and we used to go to this place all the time when they had some great wine tasting events. But recently, on two visits, we've walked out. We NEVER do that. We'll put up with just about anything, knowing that even in a place like this, we'll get great views and the food is generally OK. But these last two times, we've walked out because of terrible service. Well, let me put it this way . . . I would have preferred to have HAD service. We walked out because they just take too long to come over and wait on you. The host, an older gentleman who seemed kindly but not really up to speed on the restaurant, seated us tonight and we must have sat there for fifteen minutes. There were waiters in two locations, three of them, just standing around. Two of them enjoying a nice conversation, and sometimes even watching us at our table. But no one moved towards us -- no one said hello, and no one came with waters or to get us a drink, this despite the fact that they had only scattered diners and it was far from full. The last time we walked out it was a similar experience. We had three at that time, and we just got tired of waiting by the hostess stand for someone to look at us. Honestly, how can someone invest in a nice place like this and then let a bunch of yahoo's stand around and WATCH their customers sitting without food and drink? My guess is that the owner/manager was off, or not on the premises and when I called back later to complain to him or her about the fact that I saw four people leave because of the same problem tonight, there was no manager on duty and I had to report the issues to the older guy who seated us. His "kindly" nature changed, and suddenly he was kind of person who likes to argue with customers. Ugh. I won't be back, and they'll lose all our recommendations to visitors. When we left, we went over to Javelina Cantina, which we hadn't been to in a couple of years, and had great drinks and snacks at their happy hour. The bartender there could clean up the entire Sound Bites operation, as he was 150% customer focused.

Cool signed guitars on the walls. Only had some appetizers but the meatballs were delicious. Serve nice Napa wines too. Great views!

Walked in to see empty tables. I asked for seating for two and was told 30 minutes. We left. Why wait for a table which is sitting idle waiting for me

Excellent food, service, and atmosphericly worth making a regular experience. The BBQ Ribs were very good. This is a casual to upscale dining experience. We sat outside in the covered area overlooking beautiful red rocks of Sedona. Inside, the guitars on display are impressive. A live music venue for state and local talent while dining on great food in beautiful surroundings.

Prices were a bit high. Upscale atmosphere with ok food. I had the fruit and cheese plate which was very tasty. The prime rib was cooked to perfection (medium rare) but the garlic fries were so greasy I could squeeze oil from them! My partner had the chicken piccata which was bland and the green beans and rice were VERY undercooked. The mango lime cheesecake was very good. We would not go back.

Do yourself a favor and visit Sound Bites Grill for lunch/dinner. The views of Sedona alone are worth the visit, but the food was very good. Everything is super fresh and all natural. I had the fish taco a must have. The service was excellent and provided by Dylan which was attentive and helpful.

Loved it here! Stunning restaurant with great attention to detail! Amazing patio with huge comfy chairs and best view in Sedona! Had their lunch special which was spectacular! Great huge Margaritas and excellent service! What else is there to say except go!

We stumbled in here late nite when everything else in town was closed. what a great suprise. food was amazing even at 10pm. The manager erik let us in and we were glad he did. The food and drink were amazing and you can tell he takes a great pride in his bar and his job. great manager and great place. We will definately go back here again.

Ended up at this restaurant on Valentine's Day weekend after our original choice was closed for a private party. There was a 30 minute wait for a table near the country band playing, so we opted to sit in the bar area, where we were seated immediately. Service was consistent through our visit -- our server was personable, prompt, and efficient, although she did splash my drink on the table. The food that we ordered was a bit lacking, however. We ordered the bruschetta and the Navajo pizza (which I don't believe they are offering anymore). Both were edible, but the prices on each were a bit steep given the quality of ingredients. The bruschetta was pretty standard -- tomatoes and mozzarella -- but the cheese tasted a bit like the fake stuff. The Navajo pizza had chicken and, oddly enough, nacho cheese. It was nice and warm, but it tasted just like Tostinos, which is only a couple of bucks at Safeway (vs. this $15-16 version). Drinks, however, were great. I had a vodka soda and the bartender did not skimp on the vodka. Basically, come for the environment (and the fact that this place is actually open past 10 p.m.), but eat elsewhere.

Bad. Maybe I'm just a spoiled, uppity LA dude at this point (fair enough), but this place has bad wine, bland food, and, literally the lowest cumulative IQ of any bartending/waitstaff team I've ever encountered. Tried some small plates including the riblets. Made me think of why I've never tried McD's McRib sandwich, but maybe now I will. It could not be worse. Also tried a pizza and a couple other things. Here is a TMI review moment for you: I am drafting this review from the toilet in my hotel room. This restaurant didn't make me want more anything except TP. And that isn't said with malice, just an honest report from the wc. I tried this place because nearly EVERY other restaurant in town was packed - and I wondered why Sound Bites was nearly empty - now I know. I don't know if this place paid for the good reviews or if I caught them on a bad night or if the locals are satisfied with this level of food and service, whatever it is...I won't be back.

I came to town for a week. Just some unplug time with my family. Sedona (uptown) has a bounty of cafés, restaurants and eateries. I drove past this place quite a bit as its location is clearly visible from 89a. I decided to walk here as it is a very nice walk from my condo. I was greeted by a smile and kind, "Hello". I sat on the patio, which was absolutely breathtaking. I ordered minestrone and the southwest burger. The soup was a delight. Light and clean yet flavorful and soul warming. The burger, one of the best I've ever had the pleasure to enjoy. My wife ordered Salmon atop basmati rice and and from my sampling it was clear the chef knows what he/she is doing! Prices were as expected for the area but not abusive to the wallet. And certainly the food was well worth the cost! A treat in Sedona!

Great atmosphere, outstanding shows (Esteban and then a Cuban Band were playing when I was there), and the best Chicken Pot Pie I've ever had (almost had the steak which I heard was great, but good pot pie isn't something you see very often). I can't imagine going anyhwere else in Sedona for nightlife either, this place is the only thing going on in town. Defitinely will return soon!

We stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a good place to take pictures of the beautiful Sedona sunset. Being guitarists, we were amazed at the Artist-signed guitar collection on the wall (including a REAL Gibson Lucille signed by B.B.) We stayed for an excellent and very generous wine tasting. Then we stayed because they had an awesome singer-guitarist performing. Then we got hungry and had an excellent meal. Me the Veggie, had a hearty vegetarian stew my wife had a great burger. We met Steve, the owner who is a great guy and made us feel very welcome. This was the last night of our trip to beautiful Sedona. What a treat to have found Sound Bites. If you like great food and excellent service, with amazing views and great Live music to boot do NOT miss it. One of the best things we did all week! We will be back.

I would give this place a 4.5 stars. The view was amazing, atmosphere was relaxing and the staff was nice. The only thing was our sirloin steak and chicken were not seasoned. It was nothing spectacular, which makes it overpriced. Also, the name doesn't match the restaurant. Sound Bites Grill sounds like a tavern/pub, when in actuality it's a fine dining 5 star restaurant with a 2 star name.

The hub and I are celebrating our first wedding anniversary this wknd and came to Sedona once again. Having been here more than a handful of times in the last two years and dining at familiar places, we decided to give Sound Bites Grill a try. And, I guess, based on some of the reviews here, Sat nite is their better nights. The food was good, the service was great and the live band playing in the background was the best. We had fun dancing and enjoying the sound that bites! We plan on coming back but more for a drink or two. We find the menu to be a bit pricey for our kinda wallet.

With limited options in Sedona I'd want this place to be better. Food: overall okay (fries were delicious), prices: unreasonable for the most part considering their food is not special by any means. Burgers are $14 and the only reasonable option. Past plates are over $20 and don't include meat. Service was sub par. We had a party of 15 and we were split in two, that's fine. One table next to another table rather than one big table. I guess we we lost at musical chairs since we had the crappy server. The rest of the group felt they had great service. We weren't given bread, they were, place ran out of 2 beers we were drinking...that's weird. Server was trying to up sell which I get, that's fine...but she made it really obvious that she was disappointed when we didn't want to order both an appetizer and entree each...because she would be getting less gratuity. Waters were not refilled...again she made her tip already, she wasn't going to work harder for it since it was going to be added automatically. Not a total disaster, but I wouldn't come here again.

Went to this place not knowing much about it. I picked this place planning my husband's birthday weekend to Sedona and just wanted a casual restaurant with a typical American fare menu. I had to email them to make a reservation to ensure we would not have to wait to be seated and they were very accommodating. When we arrived on a Saturday night, I was surprised to say the vibe was upbeat and the hostess was super friendly. The inside is a 50's style in modern neon with dark wood furnishings. The chairs at our table - comfy as my cozy blanket on my couch at home. LOVE. I wish I would have asked to sit on the patio since they do overlook the red mountain views. While your at your table, if there is a band playing in the bar area, they televise it on the TVs so you can watch it. My hubby ordered the BIG order of king crab legs - WHAT these were amazing! We are east coasters and are seafood snobs. I had their shrimp & bacon flatbread appetizer (we shared) & the golden beet, heirloom tomato & burrata salad - ohhhhhh addicting. We both had the Stevie Ray Rita made with prickly pear and I have to say it was really good - didn't have the "oh my theres liquor in this drink" taste. Our waiter was attentive and a funny kid. Just a great night at a great place. Parking there is a bit challenging since it's in a shopping district adjacent to a busy hotel. But we enjoyed our time there and the food we devoured! We would definitely be back.

It is, apparently, very hard to get a late dinner in Sedona. My fiance and I arrived in town after dark, and we needed a place to eat at 9:30 on a Thursday night. A thorough scan of Yelp yielded very few options - we'd already struck out at two places by the time we called Sound Bites to put our name down for a table. I kind of see why places don't open late - Sound Bites was pretty much empty the whole time we were there. I liked the space. It was casual and dim lit, with a musical theme to its decor. Service - well, service was excellent. We had to bring our dog with us to the restaurant because we couldn't leave him alone in our hotel, and much to our dismay, he decided to spend his time in the car howling his head off. The hostess came in to let us know that the folks at the Hilton would call the cops, so Matt B. dashed out to deal with the dog. We had already ordered our food by this time, so leaving was not an option. We were resigned to taking turns with our food when our waiter Ben offered to sit with the dog on our behalf so we could enjoy our dinner! We still rushed ourselves, but he saved us a lot of stress. Service was also solid in the more traditional ways - food came out well paced, and everyone was friendly. Even with the dog nightmare, our meal was pretty enjoyable. We ordered drinks before the basset started howling, so we drank them, and they were good. I had a glass of tempranillo and Matt had a beer. I'd wager Sound Bites is a great place to grab a drink even if you're not planning to eat a thing. As for the restaurant - we didn't know what to expect, but the food was great. The complimentary white bread came with a nice flavorful olive oil spread, and our entrees included house salads and choices of sides. I'm not huge on salads in general, but the house salad was delicious. It came with fresh greens and cherry tomatoes and little chunks of mango, tossed with a sesame ginger vinaigrette. I ate both mine and Matt's (both because he was gone and because he doesn't eat salad). We were able to enjoy our entrees together, and we shared the baby back ribs and the grilled fresh salmon. I would recommend both. The ribs were tooth tender, slow roasted with a homemade barbecue sauce. The half rack was a decent portion, but we had no problem gnawing every morsel off the bones. The salmon was at least as good, an 8 ounce filet grilled with a mango glaze with an included side of pineapple, cucumber, and basil salad. The fish was moist and delicious, and I loved the mango glaze and the ripe little nuggets of fresh mango. The pineapple, cucumber, and basil salad seemed like a bit of an afterthought, but it was nice enough. I always like fresh fruit. For our sides, we had thin fries and garlic mash potatoes. The fries were pretty good, crispy and addictive, and the mash was rich and loaded with garlic. Great stuff. We skipped drink two and we skipped dessert - we relieved Ben and spent the money we saved on the dog-sitting tip. I can't say our dinner at Sound Bites was relaxing or trauma-free, but the food was good, the kitchen was open moderately late, and Ben was a lifesaver. I'd like to go back to Sedona one day, and when I do, I'll be sure to eat here again.

First I must say that I am a snobby dinner outer. I cook at home beautiful meals, years of retail have made my expectation of customer service beyond ridiculous. But eat here. The food was great. Service greAt. And the music was great. It wAs expensive but worth it. Get the tiger shrimp flat bread.

Four stars for the friendly, efficient servers and the view; two stars for the food. BF and I rolled into Sedona around lunchtime, and a local suggested we try Sound Bites. "It doesn't get any better," he said. I hope he's wrong, because if this is Sedona's best, it's culinary reputation is in trouble. The decor is lovely: lots of music-oriented artwork and autographed guitars on the walls. And the outdoor deck has a knockout view. As I read the menu, I noticed Pasta e Fagioli, an Italian dish of beans and pasta that I normally am fond of. But it was a warm day, so I opted instead for Basmati Rice with Cannellini Beans. It was described as being in a tomato broth with steamed broccoli. After the first bite, I realized that the chef had dumped some Pasta e Fagioli in a bowl, and added a scoop of rice and some broccoli florets. Obviously, the chef is doing double duty with one dish. Not cool! Diners aren't stupid, and they'll figure it out. I could have forgiven the double-down had it been good, but it was utterly tasteless. BF ordered the Chicken Taco Salad, and it too was borrringggg. All the right ingredients were there, but there wasn't even a hint of flavor. Someone, please, give the chef a spice kit for Christmas! So, the food wasn't horribly bad, but it was uninspired and mediocre. This could be a great restaurant, but it needs a lot of work in the kitchen.

We did not have high hopes for this restaurant, but it was on the way to a tour we had booked, and we were both in the mood for a burger. The decor and atmosphere was fun, but surely a Hard Rock or House of Blues knockoff....right? WRONG! We had excellent service - attentive, fast, and very helpful. The food was out of this world - some of the best shoe-strong fries I have ever had. The beef was fresh, cooked perfectly, with a maple cured thick cut of bacon - amazing. You can't beat the views of several famous formations right from the patio. What a great place!

Went there for my birthday. Loved the food and fun drinks. The staff was very friendly and enjoyed the entertainment too. Great to go out in Sedona late and still have a great evening since everything closes down so early. Perfect ending to a busy day. Everything was super fresh.

Driving around after a full day of hiking we decided to try this place. We arrived around 4:05 pm and it wasn't too crowded. We opted for a seat inside because my husband was hot from hiking all day. Spectacular views of the red rocks! I'd have loved to sit outside, it was shaded and had a slight breeze. The terrace wasn't too full when we got there but it did fill up quickly. Happy Hour is 4-6 and they don't start serving dinner until 5 or 5:30, so that was disappointing but understandable (we were just hungry!). $5 drafts during Happy Hour, hubby fit a locally brewed Oak Creek draft and I got a Dos Equis. We opted to get a couple happy hour appetizers too, hubster got chicken quesadilla and I got edamame, both were good, fairly average, easy to make, nothing spectacular but good! The table behind us ordered all of the appetizers and I wished I'd have splurged (calorie wise) and gotten the chili cheese sweet potato fries. We looked over the dinner menu and nothing looked so interesting that we'd stick around for dinner so we cashed out. I'd go back again for lunch, happy hour, or dinner, would just plan better. The amazing views are worth the expensive but average dinner menu.

We had a great lunch at the Sound Bites Grill. Since we had flown into the area that morning and were still adjusting to local time, we had an early lunch (around 11:00 am) and it was perfect. Nice and quiet, and almost empty. Though I gather there would be quite a crowd on evenings and weekends, since it is well-positioned near the Hyatt Piñon Pointe resort, has a nice view, and also has live music. Nice décor (the theme is popular music, as you can infer from the name of the restaurant), very clean, and the menu is excellent. The only difficult part was figuring out what I wanted to order, since there were a lot of things that looked really good! I ended up going with the chicken taco salad, which was excellent. The wait staff were all very friendly and extremely helpful. This is definitely a good choice (and if you're staying at the Hyatt, it's right across the sidewalk.)

Food was good but service and price were not worth it. Spent $62 on two adults and a toddler which is a bit much for a lunch meal of chicken breast and a hamburger. Child seats for my son were broken. Had to request several times for a new one and then that one was broken too. My husband ordered a burger and they gave him the wrong one. Food took a litttle bit too long to come out and a cup of their signature soup was $9!!. Way too much!

Excellent food, great atmosphere! Kind of romantic if you sit outside or get a booth the menu was excellent so many options the app small bites section is not small the portions are huge the burger was well made and delicious the wine selection is great

This restaurant is conveniently located in the heart of Sedona town. Best place to sit is outside on the patio which overlooks the red rocks. Great to go at sunset and view the colors bouncing off the walls. My guests and I had a light dinner consisting of steamed clams, salad and edamame. Our meal came with a complimentary basket of bread which was perfect for soaking up the clam sauce. Caution: you have a choice of clams or mussels but the mussels are flash frozen, not fresh. As our waiter shrugged and said, "hey we're in a desert, fresh seafood is hard to come by". We just loved that he was so honest and sincere.

Ok... wheter you like it or not it depends on your expectations. I stop to this place during my trip to Sedona and I agree with many reviews "do not come here for the food but rather for the music". The food is so and so, kind of "plain" without much personality. For what you get I'd say that is a bit overpriced. However, the club and the ambience is very nice. There is a nice stage where good local bands play. The acoustic is very good and the owner seems to have a good taste for the vintage. The cover was 8$ but it was worth it.

Ok, so I almost didn't come here because of their rating on yelp and reading the previous reviews but I'm so glad I did. I thought the food was great, the service was great and they may have the best view in Sedona. Maybe they fixed whatever the problem was a few months back because I had a great experience and would definitely recommend going.

I think the service here was the best part. Our waitress was very sweet and asked where we were from. She then told us where to go in Sedona and what to see. We went for dinner. I would say sit on the patio if you can. The view is amazing. The food - It was very fresh. I got soup. The ingredients were very fresh (no processed food at all). I also got pesto linguine. It was great for pasta at a place that isn't really Italian. My husband got the beef k-bob and shoestring garlic fries. It was fantastic! Well prepared and smelled and tasted wonderful. I would definitely go back!

This was our first time to this place, even though we visit Sedona 5-6 times per year. What a find! We were looking for a place we could walk to and this was within our radius. It was an added bonus to have music. We sat at the bar to eat just because we like to do that sometimes. The bartenders, especially Jason, were great. Jason supplied just the right amount of conversation and attentiveness needed without being overbearing. The place in general is about the only place to hear good live music on a consistent basis in Sedona.Yes, I know, there are other places, but it is hit and miss. The food here was very good. My wife and I each had a small salad (caesars and house) and then split the fish special, which was a Mahi-Mahi grilled with asparagus and a mashed potato. All of it was excellent. We will be coming back here on our next trip, both for the food and the music.

The beat salad was very enjoyable! Their Voodoo pasta was the bomb too and paired well with my Chardonnay. The mashed potatoes were also excellent! The staff was very helpful, sociable, and accommodating and we really enjoyed our time at Sound Bites! The patio is the place to be for great views, even at night you can see so many stars! We are definitely coming back the next time we are in town!

My wife and I had the opportunity to dine and attend the Esteban Show at Soundbites this past week. What an exceptional evening of good food, wine and outstanding entertainment. Attending one of their premier shows in the Celebrity Show Lounge, they offer a prefix menu. Three courses, I opted to start with the soup vs a house or caesar salad. It was Southwest Chowder. It was one of the best chowders I have ever had, very possibly THE best, and I have tasted many over the years in New England. It was full of seafood and had corn and salsa in it, giving it a true Southwest flavor. It was topped with a large shrimp and cilantro. Yum!! My main course was a filet mignon with pablano sweet potato mash. Although I did not order it, I saw the broccoli someone ordered instead of potatoes and it was simply amazing. Best portion of vegetables I have seen delivered in a restaurant. For dessert I had the mango lime cheesecake and my wife had the flourless chocolate cake. We shared and both were delicious. As dinner was winding down the entertainment began. Esteban, an amazing world famous guitarist performed with his daughter Teresa Joy on violin and Emilio (can't remember the last name) on percussion. The setting is an intimate supper club. Not a bad seat in the house and you could hear the performers even if they were not miked, though the sound was excellent. This was live music at its best. Though primarily a Flamenco guitarist, Esteban plays music from all genres with his own twist. The three are true live performers and are just a great deal of fun to watch. Soundbites has a full schedule of live acts and events, many without the extra cost of a ticket or even a cover charge. Check their website. We will certainly be returning again and again both for the food and entertainment. Lest I forget, our server Matt only enhanced our experience with helpful information and good service. What a great night!!

Meh, yup that's about right. At the recommendation of our hotel--see my review of the Hyatt Pinon Pointe--we had drinks and appetizers here, with the promise of 10% off, thanks to our room key. Our server was "nice enough", but clearly a career server and a little rough at that. She couldn't do simple math: she made a mistake in calculating the year which would qualify one to drink legally in the USA, telling my dining companion he was too young. Not so! Major oops! To be fair, the edamame was tasty, as was the spring roll platter, or whatever they called it, and yes, the bar can make a killer martini. But it was clear our server would've have preferred we order a full dinner, rather than simply enjoy drinks and snacks--and the sunset. In spite of the fact she did not honor our 10%, I tipped 30%. Let's hope she feels bad to this day.

What a nice experience. Our bartender, Andrew was the best! Their Happy Hour food was awesome! You have to try the Kobe bites. What a deal. $5 for two burgers and the best fries ever! Fabulous service from the kitchen and with a smile. This is one place not to miss! And, we met very nice people there from New England.

It seems like restaurants with reputations for great views and music often skimp when it comes to great food. Happily, Sound Bites does not! We have had a home in Sedona for about 15 years so we have seen a lot of restaurants come and go. This one is looks like a keeper. We took two other couples who were visiting us and everyone was delighted with every bite. Oh and the music and view were great too!

Horrible...just horrible food and mediocre at best service. Took family there for our last night in Sedona and was told there'd be a 30-45 min wait. Since it was pouring rain, we decided to grab a spot at the bar where the kids could sit at a table close by. Ordered lobster bisque - yuck! I ordered fish tacos and they tasted decidedly off. Wife ordered hummus plate and the salad that came with it was inedible. At least the kids got edamame and some chicken fingers that were good. Finally, the bartender took forever to serve us and, while she was busy, made no attempt to help us cash out in a reasonable time frame. At the end of the day, we paid $70 for really bad food. We spoke to a lady next to us who is a local and she told us this place usually has terrible food...and that she only comes for drinks and music. Sounds like she was spot on. If you're hungry, I'd suggest you AVOID THIS PLACE.

My husband and I chose to celebrate our 26th Wedding Anniversary at Sound Bites Grill. We made a 6:30 reservation, asking specifically for a table on the patio (along the rail for the best views) explaining to the hostess, Jessica, that we were celebrating our anniversary. She advised us that "might" be possible if we arrived early. What is the point of making a reservation??? We arrived 45 minutes early as we were in the area doing some shopping. There were 10-12 tables on the patio with only one of them occupied. Jessica proceeded to seat us against the wall at a table for 2. When my husband reminded her that we had specifically made the reservation and arrived early so we could have seating with a view, Jessica said "those tables are only for parties of 4" and we "plan to us them if we get a dinner rush". We decided to make the best of it...Our server arrived at our table looking less than thrilled to be there. We started out with the shrimp cocktail. The server stood 3 feet behind my husband's chair the entire time we ate and as soon as we had eaten our last bite, she rushed over and scooped the dishes. Yet my iced tea sat empty for over 15 minutes and my husband had to remind her twice out his drink. The surf and turf we ordered was very good. The sides are skimpy, $6 for 4 thin slices of grilled zucinni is ridiculous! My husband spoke with Calvin, the manager regarding the poor service. Calvin's apathetic response left us convinced that we will never be back to Sound Bites Grill. There are so many other incredible restaurants in Sedona to chose from.

Skip this, Hostess are rude. Service is bland, lackluster. Food is bland, mediocre. Unfair pricing, sneak in charges (like the bread). So many others places to eat...vote with your wallet. Don't visit this place.get the same views from Wildflower down the way. In my opinion no value

I wasn't expecting this place to be to good considering some of the reviews were a little iffy - but I would definitely go here again. Drink specials were good - there was live blues music and sitting outside on the patio was awesome! Everyone was having such a good time dancing even the servers came through the dance floor! It was very fun and I would recommend it to everyone to stop by!

This place had one of the nicest view, not crowded like some of the other places. Food was great! We split the ribs and two sides, and it was perfect amount for us old folks! Lol. Sit on the patio to see Snoopy rock! The icing on the cake was we could hear the entertainment which was Esteban.

Great experience! I went alone and sat at the bar on a Tuesday night. It was quiet but social at the same time. Great music, fabulous steak coated in peppercorn and mushroom sauce and an awesome wine selection. I'd highly recommend Sound Bites! Charles, my bartender, was great company and a great server!

I would give zero stars if I could. This place is an absolute joke. My wife and I came here for a snack and a beer. We walked in and sat at the bar. The bartender was borderline rude from the moment we sat down to 10 minutes later when we left without ordering food. He did acknowledge us but was too busy pacing back and forth to really give us even the time of day. There were only two other people at the bar so we were both a little confused as to why he was acting so busy. My wife ordered a Dos Equis on draft and I ordered an Anchor Porter on draft. The bartender informed us that the tap system had been acting up. I've worked in the restaurant industry for 13 years and I understand draft systems can have problems, however as he tried to pour the porter it was coming out almost entirely foam. After waiting a few minutes for him to try to get it to work I asked if I could have a Guinness instead, he said no, and that he would have the porter ready in just a few more minutes. Once he was able to get the beer poured I took a sip knowing it was going to be flat based on how it was poured and it was completely sour. I told him the beer was bad and then asked for a Dos Equis instead, he gave that to me and that beer was also undrinkable. They, very obviously don't clean their craft system. I told the "bartender" the beer was bad, at no point did they offer to take the beers off the tab. We ended up paying for two beers we didn't drink and left. To be honest the terrible service is what prompted me to write this review. It really was an embarrassing experience. I would recommend to the bartender to spend less time in the tanning bed and more time focusing on his service skills.

Loved this place! Had a great vibe with good food. Serving high end food without the high end attitude. The views were great and the service was exceptional. My only complaint was the website doesn't do this place justice. I was unable to view the menu beforehand. It looked a little cheesy compared to what you really see in person. This is probably just me being critical as a graphic designer. Still doesn't affect how I felt about the service and good. I will definitely be returning next time I am in the Sedona area.

More "modern" decor than other Sedona bars and restaurants. Attentive staff, great food. Comfortable chairs. Right off the bat it feels decorated more like a million other trendy restaurant and bars, but that's rare for Sedona. It's a nice change from what we usually have here. A few other early reviewers have mentioned problems with service. We saw nothing like it. Hostess was friendly and quick, waiter was better than most. He had a personality, checked in just enough, and caught a mistake in the desert order right as someone else was bringing it to the table. We had the blue cheese burger and "The Boss" pizza. The pizza was good, not the best ever, just solid. The blue cheese burger was the star. Sweet potato fries were still a little crispy even 30min after they had been served. I don't know how the did it! For desert, we had the excellent apple pie. My only regret was that we arrived too early to enjoy the music. We'll definitely be back, though.

We stopped here right after we got to town so we were tired. We ate rather than "dined." There are three places to eat here at Sound Bites; the patio, the dining room and the area where the music is played You can here the music in the regular dining room but it was lovely and not loud. My husband had the baby-back ribs and said they were excellent. I had an appetizer and the salad which was quite good. It seems a little pricy but there is music. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would return.

Jason L was our server extraordinaire... We loves our Stevie Ray Rita's and the Boss pizza... And the amazing views of the red rocks were icing on the cake. The live music was well suited to the venue and the projections of he singer in the lounge area made is feel like part of the show...

First look at this place I thought it was going to be great. Nice atmosphere and awesome guitars on the wall, But that's where it stops. I've visited here on 3 occasions now. Each time the drink I ordered was poorly made. Such as a manhattan which was almost all vermouth. Secondly food is extremely overpriced. The burger is bland and nothing special for $14. The oscar steak I had was medium when I asked for rare and the bearnaise on it was watery and not made very well. Over all most the food is well thought about in theory but poorly executed, especially for the price they are asking. If they want to do that they should get a cook that knows what he/she is doing.

We had a absolutely great meal here! I got the baby back ribs which just fell off the bone they were so tender! The harbanero sauce was delicious Andy side of grilled zucchini was cooked to perfection! My dinner partner had a perfectly prepared cheeseburger, cooked medium just right! Our desserts were equally wonderful! I got the apple Brown Betty which made me feel like I died and went to heaven, so so luscious! We were entertained by Robin Miller, a fantastically talented musician! The service was also outstanding ! I give this place 5 stars!

Stumbled onto this place near the Hyatt. I thought it was a sports bar and did not want to go in. Was I wrong. The lobster was really fresh and my steak was perfect. They had a live band. Can't wait to go back.

The signage and name of this place makes it seem kind of generic and middle-of-the-road. I went here with a couple friends in Sedona last weekend. When we sat down, I was surprised to find it nicer than I thought and it had a really great menu. The bread in the beginning was great, and I ordered their baby back ribs. The ribs and fries were delicious, I'd definitely go back!

We pulled into Sedona with no specific destination intended but with lunch on our minds. We happened into the Hyatt parking lot and noticed the signs for the Sound Bites Grill. With a small bit of encouragement from the consierge Josh we decided to try it. What a great bit of advice! The food was terrific and the help attentive. The Hip Chick is absolutely wonderful and we enjoyed a local brew and glass of wine along with it. Work this place into your Sedona experience.

The only reason I am giving this restaurant more than one star is because the food was great. Service however overshadowed the culinary concoctions. Despite the empty restaurant at 7 on a Thursday, they were quick to dismiss putting together a table for 12. Not only that the bar tender was horribly rude. Service is not the forte here.

We found this restaurant while searching for another one and were very happy that we gave it a try. We had to wait for a table so went to get drinks from the bar and found the service there not so great. One guy standing around while the other went to serve a couple of blondes who arrived a couple of minutes after I had been standing there. After a pretty short wait for a party of six on a Saturday night we got a table near the band and enjoyed some good music with some great food and the service improved a great deal. The rib connoisseur in the family rated their ribs as some of the best he's tasted and the burgers were also excellent. It also looks like they have some outside dining tables that overlook the fantastic mountain scenery that would be worth checking out.

We visit Sedona a few times a year and we love to visit the Shops at Hyatt Pinon Pointe for the views, dining and shopping. Do yourself a favor and visit Sound Bites Grill for dinner. The views of Sedona alone are worth the visit, but the food is really the reason to visit. Everything is super fresh and all natural. I was surprised to learn that all of the dishes, sides, dressings, etc. are made on site, and it is readily apparent when you taste the food. Delicious. We enjoyed the Ribeye with a Lobster Tail, which was excellent. The mashed potatoes were rich and flavorful. We also enjoyed the Grilled Fresh Salmon with a mango glaze and grilled pineapple and cucumber basil garnish. So good. We were served by Andrew, stellar bartender - very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and great sense of timing. Last, Sound Bites featured a very cool band, creating a vibrant atmosphere. Just a great way to spend an evening. We highly recommend visiting Sound Bites Grill.

The service was excellent although the food was way overpriced, you certainly are paying for a view here. First a caveat, we arrived during pre-shift and amazingly were able to get our orders p;laced with the departing lunch waitress. It is true that the bread did not arrive until or dinner waitress did, but all in all, they did everything they could to make the transition smooth and nearly painless. Based on service they earned 3 stars, however the food quality was inconsistent. My dining partner, the love of my life\, received her salmon, perfectly cooked and was enchanted by the Poblano mashed sweet potatoes. The olive oil, herbs and garlic dip, that was served with delicious sourdough bread was delightful. However my Shrimp Scampi left much to be desires. the shrimp were rubbery from being overcooked and lacked any classic Scampi seasoning. I loved the twist on classic scampi, with the tomato based sauce the peppers and the squash and zucchini, but unfortunately the raw garlic in the sauce had little time to work it itself into the rest of the dish. There simply was way too much pasta and not enough shrimp for a $24 plate of food, and although the location offered stunning views of the Sedona area, the overpriced, overcooked food left a bad taste in my mouth and i would not recommend this establishment to any of my friends

We popped in for a cocktail before we called it quits for the day and we picked the right place! It's a good mix of a cool lounge, sedona restaurant and music venue all one. Estaban was finishing up a sound check before his performance that night so that was a plus, I was disappointed that I couldn't stay for the main event. Drinks were mixed perfectly and the bartender was very professional, he make sure we were having an enjoyable time yet never interrupted us while having a conversation. Next time I'm here, I'm staying for the music!

We heard the best band, ever, called Big Bambu. We are staying at the Hyatt and needed to escape noisy upstairs tenants. What a treat. We didn't eat food, the young wait staff seemed disinterested, but we will be going back during our stay. This place is serious about music. Good dance floor too, or just to listen, it's not too loud.

We tried to come here after traveling for hours (not many places are open 'til 10 in Sedona). We were unlawfully denied entry and service because I have a service dog. Yep, he's registered and trained. We went in and the bartender unlawfully asked me for what disability he is a service dog. Then (!!!!) she unlawfully required me to show his ID, which I did. The "manager" somehow decided it wasn't an "ADA sanctioned" ID (there's no such thing by the way) and refused to serve us. We were just starving after a long trip and wanted a bite to eat. I am an attorney and could have gotten into a real argument with them but decided it wasn't worth our time or effort. I could just sue if I were in the mood, anyhow. In any event, rude manager and bartender who obviously have no respect for federal law or people with disabilities.

Wines by the glass are reasonably priced and the live musical performance of Sir Harrison and the Blues Kings was amazing. Their saxophonist even played 2 saxophones simultaneously! Can't really comment on the food since we were only there for the music and wine. Will check their food out next time we're there for another live music evening.

Prime location with magnificent red rock views (actually they are everywhere). Very expensive. When I asked the waiter the cost of a beer - he said he didn't know. Then said maybe $4. They were $6. I ordered a Caesar salad for $8. The waiter said for a little more add Chicken. The additional chicken was also$8. So for $16 I got a small chx Caesar salad and $6 beer. $24 for salad & brew. Not at all worth it.

A hard rock cafe wanna be. The wife and I stopped in after going to Bell Rock. So a nice air conditioned place would be great. The place is very tidey and clean. But our service sucked. They stuck us by the ozzy signed guitar, which seem to be in a invisible vortex. Lunch was just ok. I had a burger and fties. The wife had a huge cobb salad. But I was thirsty! !! During the whole meal not one check on us. Plus on top of the crappy service, its over priced. This is Steve Justice signing off.

There are not many places that are opened late in Sedona on a Thursday night, it has a very nice décor, almost like a posh Hard Rock Café, but the music is more on the light fare. Food was very good. My wife had the blackened tuna salad. I liked it so much that I finished it for her. I ordered the Navajo Jo flat bread pizza. I was very interesting; I think the chicken could have more flavor, but I liked it. Drinks from the bar were very good (martini), and the local Oak Creek beer was very good too. Staff was very attentive. No complaints here. We will be back in our next trip.

Maybe if we came in earlier & had that great view that everyone speaks of, it would've been four stars? By the time we got here, it was too dark. Kind of pricey for what you get, but my husband raved about his "Buffalo Burger" saying it was really good. As for me, I ordered the "Caesar Salad w/Grilled Chicken" & it was just ok. Not worth paying almost $20 for though. The complimentary bread with dipping sauce was really good. The sauce had little chunks of garlic in it & well, in my opinion, garlic makes everything taste better! Nice place & service was also good. We only had to wait a couple minutes for a table.

First visit here. Beautiful restaurant and bar. Dim lighting, pictures of musicians everywhere. A+ art work. Live band playing cuban/salsa with decent size dance floor. As busy as they were we we're lucky to get a table on the patio. Large plush chairs were very comfortable although you had to lean forward to eat. I'm not complaining though. Our waitress was Jen , a young girl fresh from College as we found out because she spent a lot of time with the table next to us as she shared her life story. Jen was pleasant, but possibly new? How new, we were unsure. Jen took our drink order , when asked to recommend a few favorite wines, she stated she is not a wine "condo-sseur" but told me what wine she drinks at home.my friend order a pasta Alfredo/pesto dish which is actually more pesto than Alfredo. Make sure you understand it's mainly pesto. My friend said it was good but would have rather has more traditional Alfredo. My friend then asked for a side salad- the pinapple, cucumber, whatever salad. Jen says to my friend " you know your dish doesn't come with a side right?" my friend was fine paying extra for the salad. Then she took my order which I selected the Blue burger ( very tasty- beef, blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and thin onion rings) I was asked to pick a side dish. The waitress and I had a discussion on the choice of fries. Thin fries, chunky garlic fries , or sweet potato fries. I asked her if the chunky fries were thicker fries than the thin fries and she states yes they were, and that her favorite was the sweet potato fry. I like garlic and I like thick fries so I chose those. She whisked away and soon my friends salad arrived. She said it was very good but not a hint of pinapple?!? Once out waitress decided to check on us We asked if the correct salad was brought out. She stated the pasta dish came with a side "house" salad. If you remember earlier in the convo, Jen said there was no side. So we cancelled the pinapple salad , who wants 2 side salads? Our meals came, and I had my delicious burger with a mound of small thin fries and what seems like 1/8 of a teaspoon of minced garlic on them. I was confused as if I received the correct fries.Jen who had befriended the table next to us, Hadn't checked on us in nearly 10-15 Min of getting plates. Another waiter walked by and we asked about the fries. Long story short, the garlic is "chunky" not the fries. Jen then confronted me re: My comment to the waiter about the fries. She told me I must not have understood her. I told her that we specifically discussed the difference of the fry size and she told me that I was wrong and she was sorry she didn't know the diameter or circumference of the fries. ATTITUDE . She was being condescending and unprofessional. I would be bold enough to say Jen needs a little training in the Menu as well as customer service. Would have given 4 stars but Jen lost a point for the team as well as her tip.

We stopped here for lunch on a Monday and were greeted with a friendly smile and seated immediately. We opted to eat inside since it was a bit chilly that day, however, their outdoor patio/dining area is absolutely beautiful. The menu is broad enough to satisfy most palettes. I ordered the heirloom tomato salad and added chicken for protein. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor combinations perfect. This was the best salad I have had in quite some time. Kudos to the executive chef for this concoction. The service was great. We had two different servers which I thought was a little odd, but appreciated the teamwork. Overall, we had a great experience. The only reason I gave it four stars was because of the inside décor. It seemed outdated and some aspects reminded me of a Planet Hollywood. Had I visited during the evening, I am positive the vibe would've been quite different.

Food was good, service was good, they had a live band in the background and a football game on a few big screens; I would come back.

Fantastic food, amazing views and excellent hospitality and service! We stayed in Sedona over Labor Day, and I wanted to make our evening special with a great dinner and views of the Red Rocks. Yelpers alerted me about this place, and I felt like my own review was necessary. When I called to set a reservation, I was hoping they weren't booked solid. Instead, we were asked if we were staying for dinner and the show. Live music? During dinner? Sign me up! This place is very easy to find - and they share parking with the Hyatt, which is complimentary. Smiles from everyone the moment we walked in. We were seated at a table close to the fantastic little stage they have inside, with views of the red rocks right outside the large windows. Our server introduced specials, emphasizing that everything they serve is made in their kitchen. We started with cocktails - they make a mean lemon drop! My guy and I ordered the crab and shrimp nachos and they were to *die* for. Piles of crab and shrimp on home made chips and cheese sauce, complete with some of the best guac I've ever had. I ordered the pesto alfredo linguine and was not disappointed. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the homemade sauce was so flavorful. Boyfriend had the rib-eye; the bleu cheese butter makes the dish! After dinner, we headed to the patio for a few minutes to enjoy the stunning views. It is very apparent that management has an interest in seeing this restaurant succeed. From the bathrooms to the table placements to the care they have for their traveling musicians, well done. We'll be sure to recommend SoundBites to all our friends in Phoenix!

Echoing previous reviews, the ambiance was nice but the price and service were not. They didn't know who our server was so we had three people come by before one of them came back to clear up who our server was. They got my wife's order wrong and were willing to fix it but implied it was her fault (which it was not). Food was good but very pricey. Our dirty plates sat in front of us for about 15 minutes before anyone came to clear them and when the server finally did, she didn't even ask if we were interested in dessert (which we were). Our server's lack of attentiveness is my #1complaint. About 10 minutes later I had to ask someone to get her for us which he did promptly. After finishing dessert we had to wait a considerable time before we had to again flag her down and request our check. I would not return due to the inflated prices and sub par service. I must however compliment the guitar player whose talent contributed considerably to the ambiance, though unfortunately it was not enough to overshadow the setbacks.

We had a very nice Christmas Eve dinner and show at this establishment. The Miller.Miller.Martin and Ki Band are just excellent-very talented musicians. Because of this we decided to go wtih out of towners last night. The evening started out well with a friendly waitress. I ordeedr the sirloin which arrived looking very much like a filet mignon but was cooked just right. One in the party ordered the mussels appetizer as an entree and said it was tasty. However the other two in the party received a cold hamburger and a very spicy ribeye. After the a long wait to get the hamburger warmed up it came again cold and well done. After long discussions with the manager another showed up after all at the table had finished. The ribeye was terribly spicy and the waitress suggested eating bread to cool down the taste. The manager asked what we would like him to do rather than an apology taking the charge off the check for the inedible steak. I had high hopes for this place because of the music and having had a fair lunch here on another occasion but because of the actions of the manager regarding the food quality it is doubtful we will go hear for food-perhaps just for the music. Perhaps it was the full moon so I will give it 2 stars for benefit of the doubt.

My wife and I happened to spot this place from across the street where we were staying for the weekend. We arrived around 3:00pm and where quickly seated outside. The views of course are awesome, but the food and service where a little less spectacular. We only came here for a couple of drinks and some apps. We ordered the Hummus platter and the Edemames. The Edemames where good, but the hummus plate was only OK. The hummus was gritty tasting and looked unappetizing. The pita bread was really good though that came with it. The service was spotty at best. I had to ask our waitress several times to get a water refill, and when I ordered a second beer, she disappeared for 20 minutes before coming back empty handed. She then asks me, "Oh, did you still want that beer?" HUH, dumbest thing I heard all weekend. I told her yes, which seemed to aggravate her, but oh well. So, we would try this place again because of the patio views, but If I saw the same server again, I would be requesting a different section.

TERRIBLE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Everyone that comes here should expect bad service and also expect to be spoken badly about by their sever. Terrible, ruined our Sedona experience.

While the food and drinks were average to good. The service is a mess. Not sure if its the kitchen or the waiters. For apps we order the crab and shrimp nachos...when we got the plate, no shrimp or crab. For the dinner the first mistake was the sides were mixed up. Then lastly I order the beef tenderloin skewers and when I got the plate it didn't look like skewers at all so I asked the waitress. She confirmed it was the beef tenderloin, but it looked like a filet mignon. When we got the bill I was charged a filet mignon which was fine because i ate it. I still asked about it wheb i got the bill and she was oblivious about the past confirmation of the beef tenderloin and said that it was a filet. Of course I didn't argue beyond that and paid for it since that is what I ate. But the principal of everything is what bothered me. I do not understand how you make so many major mistakes.

Worst service ever. We stop for dinner and the waiter took our order and never comeback to check on us. 30min later my wife have her food and the rest of the family wait for another 20min and we never have anything to eat. We walk out and eat at wildflower next door.

If you are in Sedona then you must try the Sound Bites Grill!! The food is very good and reasonably priced. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to Mike and Charles. They really made it fun! We went back a second time!!

DO NOT RELY ON THE YELP/ONLINE MENU FOR ACCURATE INFO!!!!! We looked at the online yelp menu, went to dinner and ordered based on that info. When our bill was presented without the online menu prices, $10 a plate more, we disputed the charges. The price was 40% different than advertised. That is when Sound Bites' owner said "well all info is subject to change". WHAT!!!!! Subject to change? It was updated today they knew it was misleading and decided it was ok. RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE!!!

I will start off by saying that the view is awesome and the decor is lovely. It is like a mini music museum. There was even an old movie playing while we ate. The prices are pretty steep ($16 for a burger) however even though the burger I had was $16, it was worth every penny. It was nice 8oz angus burger blue cheese bacon burger that has my mouth watering even as I type. It was loaded with four of the biggest, tastiest, fattest pieces of bacon I have ever had along with just enough blue cheese to make it just right. Plus it came with a side of sweet potato fries, which always makes a burger (in my opinion) Had I known the bacon was going to be so delicious, I would have begged for them to make me a blt, extra bacon (but alas it was not on the menu to even order) Oh and if you want just a side of say fries, that will be an extra $6. See I told you pricey. But the service was outstanding, the food was delicious, the view was amazing and my company (who was my fabulous husband) could not be beat!

A bit pricey, but it is Sedona. Drinks were good and strong. The bread, garlic oil and the clam chowder were well worth it. Since everything leading up to the entrée were delicious I was really looking forward to the main course. I got the lamb buco and someone else got the beef tips with red wine suace. Lamb was really tender but it needed some sort of glaze or suace to get it down. Green beans were Al dente...And the mash potatoes lacked in any flavor. The beef tips were dry and the dish tasted more like a mongolian beef dish then a cuisine. I suggest sticking to the appetizers and soups. Clam shrimp chowder is a must have!

People took a long time to see us. Food was good...bread with garlic dipping sauce, ribs, garlic fries, burgers. Seemed to be uncomfortable with our kids though. Oh well...food was tasty!

beautiful view and nice setting but price is too much for the food they serve. I got the lamb and the food is just average but very expensive. the bread and garlic dipping sauce is good though:)

First they get points for feeding my hungry self on thanksgiving day when the number of eating joints open are obviously less.. Because of this the seating staff was quite busy but remained courteous and apologised for the wait. I would have loved to sit outside, the view is quite amazing. The service was also very attentive and friendly. The decor is very interesting as well ( obviously musically themed ) and i got to hear live jazz music with my meal. My food review is mixed which is why the stars come down. I ordered a milk chocolate drink which wasnt too good. But the salmon was top notch. It was cooked well and the salad that came with it was quite tasty. The rice that came with it , not so much. Some of the grains were undercooked and given rice is a staple where i come from, standards are high.

For lunch. Clean and nice place. Just, there was not so attractive food/menu to me. If they have some food attracting me, I would come back. I had Southwest style(?) Caesar salad added salmon. It was good and I liked it. Kindness and friendliness of the staff is ok. I did not feel welcome or friendly when coming in, but overall not so bad either.

Was looking for a place with live music and a patio and landed here on my Sedona vacation (I live in Phoenix). We sat at our table for 20 minutes before a server asked if we had been helped yet. It was all downhill from there. We waited for everything, my dessert, drinks, tab...... Our original server seemed OK but then we got transfered to a different server who SUCKED! We couldn't even enjoy the awesome band we were so distracted by the horrible service. He never once apologized for the wait, never checked on us and, after we paid, didn't say ONE WORD to us not a have a good nigth or anything! I was in the food service/bartending industry for 10 years and I always tip at least 20% even with mediocre service. We ended up leaving NO TIP that's how bad it was and I have NEVER done that!

Food was great! I had the Salmon with sweet potato mash. The outside seating gives you a high view of Scottsdale and the background scenery. They also have local artists play at night. The guitarist Anthony Mazella played the Thursday night I was there and he was awesome! They played his live performance inside on the speakers on the paito.

Well I've never written a review and this is the first time I felt like I MUST. I feel like the more expensive the food, the more exceptional the customer service should be. I found a large bug frozen in the center of my ice cube. I went ahead and told the waiter and instead of an apology he started talking about how he's never seen so many bugs until he moved to Arizona---excuse me? Was that supposed to be an apology? Anyway, he then said the manager would be over. The manager finally came over and said he checked all the ice and saw no bugs (probably because it froze in MY ice, buddy). He then joked when the waiter came over that he fired him--and then got in conversation with the waiter and just walked away. No apology. No compensation. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant and would not recommend to anyone. Having a bug freeze into my ice cube was out of their control and I understand random mess-ups happen. How these mistakes are resolved speak volumes about the poor staff and management at this establishment. The food was pretty average as well.

We waited over 50 minutes for our entrees. My fathers steak was not very good, my kids burger was ok...they forgot the condiments for one of them. My wife and I had good food...It was just very slow especially when there were only 4 other tables. My father was talked into ordering desert that was supposed to be made fresh. A chocolate mouse cake with whip cream and strawberries. It took them about 10 minutes to bring it out....and it was frozen solid! I asked a person that worked there Not in any Uniform...was this supposed to be this way. She answered yes...then the waiter came over and said that it was not supposed to be that way. you needed a sawsall to cut through it. I then had to tell the waiter to take it off our bill. That should have come from him and not for me to have to tell him. Probably will not return to that restaurant. And by the way it is very expensive...My fathers Filet was $39....I cook better and only have it cost $10 at home.
