I'm only giving this place one star instead of zero because the facility itself was quiet and clean. It's unfortunate the staff is a COMPLETE nightmare. A few days prior to arriving, I spoke to the concierge who informed me that check in was at 11am. It was obviously a miscommunication because check in is not actually until 3pm. When we arrived at 12:30 pm, we were greeted by a smug "front desk manager" named Britney. AFTER taking my credit card, she informed us that check in was not until 3pm. My boyfriend told her that we had planned our day based on the earlier check in time so if there was anything she could do to get us in a little sooner, we would really appreciate that. She then smugly stated, "check in is at 3." Knowing there was nothing we could do (even though it was their fault by telling us the wrong check in time) we decided to head out and enjoy the town until our room was ready. She told us she would call us when the room was ready. I then asked her what room we were in (for the simple reason that I wanted to drive by and see if we had a view) and she told me that they "cannot disclose that information" until we check in. I said "um, ok". She then says, "you are welcome to stay somewhere else"...basically TELLING US TO LEAVE. I was stunned since there was NO REASON for her rudeness. My boyfriend (who previously worked in the hotel business for 15 years) asked her to speak to the manager. The "hotel manager", John, (who we found out, is the owners son) came out in a pair of shorts, sneakers, and a half tucked in shirt. My boyfriend very calmly explained what had just happened and instead of apologizing and trying to rectify the situation, the "manager" told us that she is an amazing employee and we must have done something to provoke her to act that way. I guess Mommy and Daddy had to give him a "job" since he would obviously never make it in the real world with those "management" skills. Being that half of our trip was ruined already, we decided to still stay there and not go through the hassle of trying to book another room somewhere else, last minute. We waited until 3:45 for them to call us to tell us when the room was ready, as she had told us she would do. We never got any call and just showed back up. The next morning, the lobby/office is supposed to open at 8am. We were not able to check out until 8:40am when Britney decided to make an appearance at her job. After our departure, we attempted to call the "manager" again, since he was conveniently not available in the morning when we left. We got no answer and no return call to the message we left him. 4 days later, he finally called us. He did apologize and told us they are having major staff problems at the hotel so I'm not sure why he was such a wimp in front of his little girlfriend at the front desk. He said he would send us a free stay to give them another try. A month later and we havent received anything or heard from them at all. At this point, you couldn't PAY ME to stay there ever again. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

We just returned from spending the weekend at Las Posadas. It was very enjoyable and quiet. The morning breakfast (included) was very tasty. The staff were all friendly. The units were really spacious. We chose this inn as they do allow dogs ($25 fee). It is not right in Sedona but rather, in The Village of Oak Creek which is just outside Sedona. I like that it was a little out of town because it was so quiet. I would totally return. Oh, we had dinner across the road at Cucina Rustica. Fantastic!

I really enjoyed my stay in Las Posadas, which is not far from Sedona. Like a number of other resorts and hotels in the area, it is actually in the Village of Oak Creek. Our unit was spacious and very clean, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bathroom was huge and the king-size bed was very comfortable, and the suite had a sleeper sofa and the requisite microwave and small fridge, plus a Keurig coffee maker and coffee pods. Compared to chain hotels and resorts, this establishment as has a more quiet, secluded feel and is conveniently located near the first roundabout you reach on Route 179 on your way to Sedona from I-17. The complimentary breakfast in the dining hall was hearty, with tamales, egg, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, muffin, and granola. I would definitely recommend this place to friends planning to visit the Sedona/Oak Creek area.

After years of putting family & friends up at different places near our home which is located in the Sedona Golf resort we found the best place ever "Los Posadas" right off Highway 179 in the Village of Oak Creek and 5 minutes from our home. Los Posadas if very different than any place we ever used. It is home like and quiet. My son and family loved it. I got to sit out at the salt water pool with the kids while the adults went out and about. The kids just wanted to stay there and swim. After dinner we were all able to visit around the pool and let the kids swim again. Rooms were spotless, had a refrigerator and microwave, two TV"S, fire place and their own private patio. My son said was the bed was so comfortable and that it was first time in a long time he didn't wake up with a back ache. Best of all as they burst in on us in the morning they had full tummies. They got a full Southwest breakfast which was nice for me. (I am not a morning person). Don't forget the cookies when you check in, BEST EVER! And the ice tea too. As long as rooms are available Los Posadas will be our first choice. Also keep in mind you are within 15-20 minutes from great places to hike and uptown Sedona and you are away from all the hustle and bustle and traffic. The Hunts in the VOC

My new husband and I loved it here. The room was stunning and even though we checked in after the office closed, we had ice in the freezer and cookies! The fireplace was stunning and the hottub was very relaxing... The only thing we would have changed is that we booked more than one night!

This place was amazing! The room was huge and had its own fireplace and balcony! The location was ideal as it was the first round about we hit (traveling from the south) and it was not too far from shops and restaurants. Upon checking in they asked if we had any dietary restrictions for breakfast the next morning. We actually showed up early for breakfast but the girl was super accommodating. We had some fruit and yogurt. Again, our choice because we were early as we had to hit the road. This place was wonderful. We wish we had more time to spend here!

Our family loved our stay here. First of all the staff was accommodating and nice we came in late and the front desk clerk walked us to our room. The villa we stayed in was super clean and had a little kitchenette that came in handy. It was really nice to wake up and walk over for a delicious breakfast every morning made by Chef Jeffrey. The location was convenient. We really enjoyed our time in the saltwater pool and spa. The water in the pool was so soft. We occasionally stopped by the office to grab a cookie (best cookie ever) and some refreshing ice tea. This is a charming little boutique bed and breakfast. I highly recommend staying here.

I love boutique hotels! For the most part we had a great time staying here. I so wish I could give this place a 5. Highlights: - Great location. Away from the heart of downtown, but everything is in a very short driving distance - Property is well taken care of, up to date on decor - Rooms are a GREAT size and wonderful amenities! - TASTY breakfast! Baked Cookies! - Condo style environment with a lot of the rooms = quiet. Cons: - We chose the one room with the jacuzzi outside on the enclosed patio. Before any love birds think this is a wonderful idea, be aware that the room you are in shares a wall with the kitchen. The prep counter they use is backed up to your wall. The kitchen staff comes in 5:00- 6:00 am to start to prep your tasty breakfast. The walls are thin and the noise echos cause the bfast hall is all tile flooring. They were playing light music while they work, talking on the phone, laughing with each other (How dare they enjoy their jobs!? lol)... But honestly you HEAR it all. If you like to sleep in until dawn, this room is NOT for you!) This is the only room attached to the "main house" and the noise will go away after bfast hours. We had a friendly chat to make them aware but honestly what can you do to eliminate this 100%? Ask them to stop making you a rockin bfast? :) - They were going through management changes when I visited. My experience leading up to arrival was great, as the manager was a wonderful Sedona Concierge. We did not receive the same level of service once we got there. In all fairness, they may have worked that out by now!

We've had an amazing stay here! Was a little concerned about the cost at first but it's certainly worth it! Plenty of room, relaxing setting and a great location as it's a little away from the town of Sedona. Would visit again!

We've stayed at Las Posadas 4 times and really love this place! Each unit we stayed in had a gas fireplace, small kitchen area and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was always great and even gave us a discount for repeat business. They also ask ahead of time if anyone in the party had special food needs so that they could inform the chef for your breakfast each morning. Counting the days until we can visit again!

I have never been to a bed and breakfast and this place made me fall in love with what we got. The location is 7 miles from the city center-not that big of a deal. It is located in a quiet peaceful area (although I think all of Sedona is like that). No problem with parking, we parked near our room. We went at the end of December-really cold but perfectly fine when hiking. About the room-very spacious, spotless, beautiful fireplace, loved the jacuzzi. We went on a weekday getting a discount. Jeff was amazing-first by phone he gave me advice and was even so nice as to type out a one page description of how to get to a certain hiking area by way of how the locals do it. I thought that was so nice! I found ALL staff to be friendly, accommodating, and more. We did not always show up before the time they left (around 5) but they left the key on the front window. The breakfast was good and we enjoyed that. However I did not like the afternoon snacks, none of us ate them for the 2 nights we were there. That's ok, good thing we brought our own snacks. If you ever go to Sedona, I highly recommend Las Posadas!

I love Las Posadas! We always stay there when we go to Sedona, and they never disappoint. The idea of a bed and breakfast turned me off at first, but this place was built to be a bed and breakfast. You don't feel like you are in a random person's house- it's private, cozy and comfortable. I love the fireplaces in each room, and breakfast has always been good. The staff is kind and accomodating, and you are in walking distance of some great dining options. One reccomendation, if you can reserve the room with the hot tub, it is absolutely PERFECT in the AZ winter nights.

Great stay. I am a fan of smaller, boutique places because they tend to weed out the riff-raff and you don't tend to get screaming kids. Or my other favorite--the people who hog the deck chairs at the pool at 7am. This place is completely tucked away, relaxed, and well appointed. There are only 20 units but the grounds are pretty expansive. Our Valencia room was at least 1000 square feet. And we had our own little kitchen, living room, and outside patio. Charming little place. Only an 8 to 10 minute drive to Sedona.

We went here for our anniversary last month. It was wonderful! The staff is super friendly, and they knew it was our anniversary so they brought homemade truffles to our room. We had the suite with the hot tub outside, and it was nice. The hot breakfast in the morning was delicious. The room was clean...we will be here again next year.

Las Posadas provided our hotel accommodations while in Sedona over this past weekend. It was our first time staying there, and we are so glad we did! Dorrie, the Office Manage ( I believe ), the Breakfast Chef ( included daily ) and Zenaida, the Cleaning Lady, were fabulous. We stayed in a view room and enjoyed our Red Rock views and patio immensely. The rooms are unique in that the feel is more like renting your very own private condominium studio - Not hotel-style at all! We loved the open space feel of the entire unit and having the mini kitchenette is an absolute bonus. Clean (not perfect) but very comfortable AND at an awesome value. Looking forward to returning, especially once the pool is completed! Thanks for a wonderful stay Las Posadas - See you again soon!

Normally we like to stay at larger resorts but this time my wife suggested we try a smaller more intimate property. She found Las Posadas and we fell in love with it immediately! We have room to park our motorcycle trailer with a Jacuzzi outside the front door and a fireplace at the foot of the bed. Our visit was wonderful and we will be back.

Las Posadas is not a typical bed and breakfast. It is a cluster of small apartment-like dwellings. Our room had a living room with a couch, TV, and small fridge and microwave. The bedroom was separate with a king size bed and spacious bathroom. The place is clean, modern, and new. The location is great - technically not in Sedona but the adjacent town of Oak Creek Village about 7 miles from the central touristy area of Sedona. I prefer this location to central Sedona--plenty of shops and restaurants and access to main attractions. The breakfast was excellent. We were asked about dietary restrictions before our arrival and we told them we don't eat pork. However, both breakfast entres had pork our first morning. The chef, Austin, made us an excellent, improvised breakfast burrito which saved the meal for us. But the poor communication is why we gave it 4 stars and not 5.

Las posadas was a great little suite to take in after a long night at a wedding. Very nice, clean and quiet. We will definitely be coming back again!!!

We, and many of our guests, stayed at Las Posadas in August for our wedding. It is a beautiful property with gorgeous villas and rooms, well decorated, spacious, etc. I rented a villa so that my bridesmaids and I would have lots of room to get ready, and it was perfect! It may have actually been about as big as my house, but much more luxurious. Dory is amazing and so are the rest of the staff. Breakfast was yummy the morning I was able to have it (missed it the first morning due to having to get up and go get our hair done). We are hoping to return for our anniversary!

We had a change of plans and I cancelled our reservation one month in advance and they charged us $75 to cancel. You must read the fine print in their cancellation policy -it is not written as clear as it could be.... It states "Cancellations must be made 15 or more days prior to arrival date to receive a full refund" It should not use the word "full refund" because there is no full refund. Once you reserve here be sure not to cancel as you are charged a minimum of $75. I read it quickly -my mistake but there is so much fine print to read and I have never had a hotel not give me a full refund for giving them one months notice. We hoped to stay at this hotel in the future but with this cancellation policy I'm not sure we would. We have 2 little kids and traveling can be so unpredictable with children so we need hotels with better flexibility. I suggest to management to place on their website the following as I'm sure many others have fallen trap to this. "If you cancel at any time you will be charged a minimum of $75 per room and there is no refund for cancellations within 15 days of your arrival."

Slam. Dunk. Terrific accommodations, beautifully maintained, comfy bed, gas fireplaces, red rock views, and a delicious breakfast. If you're deciding between here and someplace cheaper for a romantic getaway, go here. It's worth every penny.

Worth the money! This place was quiet and very nice. My husband and I came for our first anniversary and loved it. We got the room with a full size hot tub and it was beautiful. We had a great time and will be back.

This place is wonderful! It's a B&B but not your typical inn. The rooms are big suites and the breakfast is gourmet! We timed it right (the first week in March) which is before high season. We got a lower rate, missed the crowds and the heat. Perfect for us. The location is more to the Village of Oak Creek end of Sedona so if you are driving up from Phoenix it's right off the first round about. Highly recommended!
