We had a blast here at the Apple Orchard Inn it was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast we stayed in the barnside room we loved it! Beds were comfortable the pillows were awesome and the facility it self was unbelievable they had a cooling pool, whitch was neat very cold but much needed after all the weather was nice and hot during the day. They also had a hot tub that we used quite alot. After our adventures on the cliff hanger hummer tour that was much needed lol. Jean was absolutely outsatnding made us feel at home like if we were at a family members house. The breakfast was super yummy and the coffee we are definitely come back here again thanks jean for everything your home is beautiful and the views are gorgeous we will see you next time! :)

A last minute detour for dinner in Sedona brought us to Apple Orchard Inn later that evening. Our host was wonderful and it was a slow evening so we were the only ones upstairs (4 rooms upstairs and there was a couple staying downstairs.) We brought the remaining wine from dinner and enjoyed it on our private patio. Breakfast was served between 8 and 9 and we enjoyed coffee, juice, fresh fruit and pancakes with ham. We didn't stay long, but it was reasonably price and located in a nice residential area but not far from downtown Sedona.

I would have rated it a 3 start since my stay was just okay. This was also my first time at a B&B so maybe this is what they are all like but I'm not sure. My boyfriend and I were the only people staying there. Jean gave us a hiking trail recommendation which was nice. The room was fine. The bathroom was fine - towels were fraying, ect. It kind of felt like we were at home. The breakfast wasn't good. I had asked if I could have some coffee before breakfast was served at 8:15 and she said that would be fine, but it wasn't out there. I had to run out to the coffee shop and get some, again, which is fine. The pancakes she served us just kind of tasted off... But again, we are pretty laid-back folks so it wasn't that big of a deal. The best part of it was the hot tub. It was on the chilly side and sitting in the hot tub was amazing. Here is where the 1 star comes in.... After packing up and thinking I had everything, I didn't. I accidentally left my boyfriend's childhood pillow in the room. We realized it the next day after checkout and I called right away to see if she could send it to us. She said that was fine, I gave her my credit card number to pay for shipping, and thought we would have it in about a week. One month later - she still hasn't shipped it. I've called to ask and she just says that she doesn't have time. Last night when I called about it, she said she has finally gotten the box but has yet to ship it. I said I don't feel comfortable with my credit card information just being out in the world and asked if it could be sent within the week, she was just so dismissive. I doubt we'll ever get the pillow back... whomp whomp. Long story short - for a "meh" experience stay at Apple Orchard Inn, just make sure you do not leave anything in the room and offer to pay for it to be shipped back to you. It's just too much to ask.

My hubby and I just got back from a "spontaneous" wknd trip to Sedona a couple of hours ago. And I couldn't wait to write about our three-night/four-day stay at the Apple Orchard Inn. With great confidence built from the reviews of yelpers and TripAdvisors, I made a reservation and got booked into the Mission Room. From the look of it on their web site, I felt disappointed that it was the only room left. But once we got to the tucked away haven, I decided the room size didn't matter as long as I was staying there. Hubby and I felt comfortable right away. Though it was our first visit there, the place had THAT familiar feeling to it. The kind of feeling you get when you walk into a good friend's home. Later, I grew to like the room. It fit us just fine. We loved the setting, the scenery, and the satisfaction of paying less for way more. Apple Orchard Inn is pretty much a quiet and eccentric place nestled a walking distance from fast paced tours and fast talking timeshare salesmen on 89A. We enjoyed fresh breakfast served by Marco every morning and Silvia made sure our room was ready to receive us in the afternoon from our day trips. We also devoured the homemade cookies left for us each day. We felt good about our time there. We plan to return soon and highly recommend this suitable B+B to those who seek to experience a home-away-from-home getaway.

Very comfortable B&B with a close-in uptown location. Fabulous red rock view from dining room and hot tub/cooling pool. Owner Jean very helpful with sightseeing and dining recommendations. We'll be back for a longer stay! Homemade cookies -- great!

Still in disbelief over the treatment we received at a place that seemed to have so much potential. I have never been to a BB where we were treated as an inconvenience rather than as paying guests. There were no other guests aside from us in the entire place so there was no excuse for the poor service. 1. We arrived within the appointed check in hours and there was no one to be found to let us in. After calling the host and then waiting for 20 minutes outside a young man finally lets us in without any kind of an explanation or greeting. We never heard from the woman on the phone again until morning. 2. The next morning we were served breakfast on time. She quietly served us breakfast with a quick apology and nothing else. Normally guests are offered suggestions for visiting places or are shown around the place they are paying to stay. This never happened. And the breakfast was only 2 courses despite advertising that it would be 3. 3. They also advertise that they provide bottled water in the room fridge, which we found totally empty. We had to go into the industrial kitchen to get tap water and ice. They also say that they provide cookies during the day, which we also never received. Aside from the breakfast there was no other snack or drink provided to us nor was there anyone around that we could ask. 4. Finally when checking out she asked for our payment and said nothing else. She didn't ask how our stay was nor did she offer an apology for being so inhospitable. Who ever owns this place should know their business is being undermined by a terrible host. Sad considering what a beautiful view they have.

About Applebee's

Applebee is an American full-service restaurant brand popularly known for its signature Riblets. Applebee was conceptualized in 1980 by Bill and TJ Palmer in Atlanta, Georgia. At first, the restaurant was named T.J. Applebee's RX for Edibles and Elixirs. After the concept was acquired by W.R. Grace and Company, the restaurant was renamed as Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.

Later in 2007, IHOP Corp. now known as DineEquity, Inc. acquired Applebee's and began their journey together to make Applebee's the world's largest full-service restaurant chain.
