We had a WONDERFUL time and truely enjoyed the view from our balcony! Our room was AWESOME! The problem is YOU WON'T WANT TO LEAVE!!! Lori was very helpful and friendly. The food was delish!! Truely all the comforts of home and then some! We also enjoyed the garden and walking the medicine wheel. Nice touch! You won't be sorry if you book a stay here!!

We didn't want to leave We stayed for two nights at Alma De Sedona. We found it by chance on the internet and were a little nervous. We could not have been more pleased. Lori the Innkeeper is absolutely wonderful. We immediately felt at home...only better. The rooms are gorgeous and extremely private. The breakfast is excellent. Lori is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We will absolutely be visiting here again, and we will plan to stay longer.

We had a wonderful weekend here. The Jim and Nan made us feel right at home. Called us by name before we introduced ourselves. The room was beautiful with an amazing view of the red rock hills. Breakfast was delicious. Would recommend a stay here. This was our first B&B experience and can't wait to return. Price range is relative depending on income, expectations and location. For Sedona we felt the price was moderate.

This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and we weren't disappointed. We stayed for two nights in the Native Spirits room, which had a great balcony facing the tree tops, and mountains off to the right. There is a large vacation home located adjacent to the property, which you have an unobstructed view of from the balcony, but luckily it was not occupied during our stay. The location of the Inn in West Sedona is wonderfully quiet and serene, we were much happier with this location than something closer to the crowded craziness of Uptown. The grounds in front of the buildings are really lovely as well, and include a water feature, small patch of secluded grass, and rock path for meditation. Breakfast was two courses each morning, served from 8:30-9:30am in the lobby. The first morning we had a yogurt and fruit parfait, followed by what they called a mixed berry french toast cobbler, even though it much more resembled a bread pudding. Both items were very delicious, but I did find the french toast to be much too sweet for my own taste for breakfast, and I was only able to have a couple bites. (My husband ate the whole thing though!) The second morning we a had fresh blueberry scone (the best scone I've ever had!) followed by a southwest scrambled egg taco with black beans, corn, and green chili sauce. Very, very good. Our only real qualm with breakfast was the extremely watered down coffee! We ended up going to a coffee place for espresso afterward. We didn't get a chance to see the inside of any of the other rooms, but I'd say the only room with a less than stellar view would be whichever one was located directly below ours (the Native Spirits room), because the patio faces the driveway and a couple parking spots (though the mountains can still be seen of course). If you can, opt for a room with a newly renovated bathroom, ours was awesome! Even though we really enjoyed our room, we found the bed to be quite uncomfortable. Although the linens and blankets were nice, the mattress was older and very springy. Also, the AC/heating unit was extremely loud and inefficient--it took 20 minutes just to heat or cool our room 1 degree! We didn't get a great nights sleep either night due to the loud AC and uncomfortable bed. Kind of hard to give 5 stars to BED and breakfast when the bed and sleep quality was lacking. However, these details would not stop us from staying here again (though we would ask for another room with a more recently updated mattress).

This was our first stay at Alma, and it was nice. I was a little disappointed with the view from our room. It wasn't terrible, but based on other reviews I was expecting much more. Logging this review from Starbucks, which has a much nicer view! The room was very clean and fresh, but our jacuzzi tub didn't work. When we told the host, she just replied "really, someone was just in there and never mentioned a thing"- not the reply I was expecting. Maybe a "sorry about that" or "I'll knock 10% off". Maybe she didn't believe us. The breakfast was really excellent with great variety. Other than her reaction to our jacuzzi complaint, the host was very personable. My return business would need to be cultivated. Sedona is beautiful, and there are many B&B's to chose from.

This is my second stay at ADS and what a great experience this was. First off, Lori (the innkeeper) is very helpful and friendly. You let her know what you want to do and she will book it, reserve it, or recommend it. The place is nicely groomed and the rooms are amazing. We stayed at the Far Pavillons, one of the bigger rooms on the 2nd floor overlooking the amazing red rocks of Sedona. Everything was perfect. Great room, nice view, fire place, and all the essential amenities. The private balcony was awesome. Their breakfasts are also amazing. We had raspberry pancakes the 1st day and then a quiche of some sort on the next day. Both were tasty and a perfect way to start the day. There are trails that are 10 minutes away (walking) from ADS. Everything was very convenient and it helps that when we make our pit stop before dinner in town, there are always fresh tea, water, and cookies out for guests to snack on. Bottom line: Highly recommend this place It's nice and tucked right off the main road so you don't hear or see the traffic. I would definitely come back!

this was our second stay after a 8 year absence. This is a top notch bed and breakfast. the innkeeper Lori is welcoming and professional. the individual rooms all have character and are kept immaculate. the landscaping with a hidden waterfall adds to the privacy "resort" feeling and the breakfasts are gourmet quality and provided in a comfortable great room setting. the Inn is in West Sedona and this is just far enough away from the congested center of the Town to be very peaceful and quiet at night. The Thunder Mountain trailhead is a short walk from the Inn. highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed here one night. It's one of the best hotels I've ever been to. It was too hot to go hiking, that was the original plan and we had driven in from Phoenix to escape the heat! Lori steered us to downtown Sedona and the sights. She even drew us a map. We spent the afternoon there keeping cool. Our bedroom was very comfortable. Romantic fireplace? Check. Big flat screen TV. Check. In room whirlpool bath to make out in. Check. The bathroom even had a mini fridge with chocolate and wine. Then there is the divine breakfast which is included in the price. They serve it in the garden and wait on you hand and foot. It was a yummy Mexican breakfast. The view from the patio is excellent and facing Cathedral Rock. This place is tucked away off the freeway and is surrounded by residential properties so it's nice and quiet.

We had a great time here and were pleasantly surprised at how nice a place this was. Rooms are very nice. Ours had a fireplace, jacuzzi tub and shower. This is one of the best hotels we have been too and our first bed and breakfast. They had the best breakfasts we have ever had at a hotel each morning we were there. Jim and the others are very helpful if you have questions on the area and Grand Canyon. They also have a great garden area and pool. I highly recommend you staying here if in Sedona.

I found this place by searching on the Internet. What a great find! The service was excellent, and Jim and Lori were wonderful hosts. The breakfasts were amazingly delicious and you don't leave hungry. My favorite was the French toast casserole! I stayed for 3 days, and really, all the breakfasts were delicious. The room was spacious, bathroom plenty big with Jacuzzi tub and a shower, even candles around the tub for your use. Other amenities: coffeemaker, small fridge, wine bottle opener plus wine glasses, coffee mugs, candle lighters, plus more. Nothing was forgotten to make your stay convenient and comfortable. It's off Highway 89A and so quiet at the beginning of town, but it's also 5-10 minutes from everything. Very convenient. Lori and Jim were happy to make your reservations for in-town activities or restaurants. If you needed anything, they let you know they are available, even to print your boarding pass before you leave. Lori also gave me coupons to restaurants so that I could get a discount here and there, and I used them. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and felt sad to leave to go back to reality. I will definitely return some day, and I highly recommend this place. I made new friends, and I miss the place already! Sincerely, Christine S Pasadena, CA

We only stayed here for one night, but we loved it! Lori was a wonderful host. The location and the Inn were both beautiful. The jacuzzi tub was a nice treat. We'de never been to a B&B before and we felt that this place was perfect! If we are ever in Sedona again, we will definitely come back here.

My wife and I spent two nights here. Our room -- Anderson Ranch -- was great, as were the wonderful breakfast meals. Lori was most helpful and made us feel like family. She was able to make recommendations for where to eat and what to see during our visit. We had snow the second night, providing an opportunity even more beautiful sunrise photos (a good part of why we came to Sedona).

I spent nine months researching B&Bs in Sedona and settled on Alma de Sedona for its location and reviews. We were not disappointed. The property itself is tucked on a side road in West Sedona. Serene and quiet but just a short drive to restaurants and shops in uptown. Lori and Jim, the Innkeepers, were wonderful hosts and offered a lot of information about the area. Our chef and housekeeper made amazing breakfasts and kept our room tidy. We stayed in Settler's Pine, a nice room with a king bed, sitting area, balcony, desk, and large bathroom. I loved the free homemade bath salts and I miss the water pressure in the shower! The grounds are lovely as well. We were very happy at the Alma and would stay there again. I would definitely recommend the Alma for anyone that wants something other than the general hotel fare, for a special getaway, or an adult retreat. Thank you again for making our time special!

My husband and I stayed here for three nights for our 30th wedding anniversary in June. It just doesn't get any better than this place. Coming from northern California, we've stayed at some pretty great places, but the Alma de Sedona is on our "must go back again" list. The innkeeper, Laurie, is fabulous! The breakfasts were delicious, unique and beautifully presented. Breakfast was served by their charming pool setting as well. Visiting with the other guests each morning was a nice way to start the day and swap stories of places to visit. Laurie and the stand-in innkeeper (sorry, I don't remember her name) had several suggestions for sights to see in and around Sedona. We did them all...they did not steer us wrong. We loved all of them! She even made the reservations for us! She suggested several restaurants, including a wonderful recommendation for our anniversary night (Dahl & Diluca...fabulous!) We followed all of her recommendations, and enjoyed every place we tried. The inn is quaint, quiet and well kept and the rooms are beautiful. Ours was large with a spectacular view of the red rock mountains from our balcony, and had a tub for two, as well as a large shower. They provided candles for ambience as well. the Inn is in West Sedona, which is out of the hustle and bustle of the uptown area, but only minutes away. We really liked the quiet surroundings of the Inn. We cannot wait to go back to Sedona and the Alma de Sedona Inn to, once again, enjoy their hospitality.
