Stayed one Wednesday night at the Doubletree Hotel and decided to eat at the Woodlands Cafe on the first floor. The restaurant had no other guests when we walked in at 7:30 pm. This always makes me suspicious. Between the girl delivering bread and water and our server, Deante, service was friendly and excellent. I had chicken veggie soup that was unusually thick. It tasted okay but the viscosity translated into old age. I couldn't find anything on the menu that sounded good so I ordered two chicken kabob skewers. This was probably a mistake as they were grissly and tasted as if they were not fresh but rather frozen. My buddy had cod fish and chips and rated it just okay for taste. Very generous portion of fries. Let's go with A+ for service and ambience and a definite D for food quality and taste. Would not be hard to find another restaurant or vending machine with better food.
