I'd give it 6 stars, but can only give it 5. Richard was outside doing some upkeep and he greeted us as we pulled up. We got the grand tour, seeing the thought put into the business. It was spotless! When I got there, it was a little chilly (not the business's fault). I turned on the radiator and it took a while to warm up, but it got warm, a little too warm (again, not the business's fault, I just really need to learn how to use a radiator). Breakfast was great! He goes to Safeway every day so the guests can be assured to be getting fresh food. Coffee was freshly brewed and there was a huge selection of teas to pick from. We got to chat with Richard a lot throughout my visit and he was quite pleasant, as were the dogs. Also nice was the stash of incidentals (I forgot my toothbrush).
A great place to stay in Flagstaff. Very clean, comfortable big rooms. Big bathroom. Cozy robe. High ceilings and big windows. The proprietor is very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again, next time we're in Flagstaff!
Great rooms, great hosts, wonderful breakfast!

Wonderfully warm and cozy B&B in Flagstaff. Laura is an amazing hostess. Spacious and comfortable accommodations. Beautifully appointed. Includes a yummy breakfast and bottle of wine when you check in. There are also 2 very sweet cats. It doesn't get any better for a cool getaway in the pines of Flagstaff.
We have stayed in many Flagstaff accommodations over the years and were pleased to discover a new B&B to experience. What a find! The owner, her cats (Mia and Charlie, which we knew about ahead of time), the lovely, immaculate bedroom and bathroom, and the personalized breakfast made our stay special. The owner went out of her way to make everything "perfect" for us.
When I think of our stay at Whispering Pines bed-and-breakfast it puts a smile on my face. We wanted to get away from the heat and have just have a peaceful relaxing long weekend in the pines, We were not disappointed. Laura was such a warm and gracious hostess she, Charlie and Mia (they are the sweetest cats!) Made us feel at home, very welcomed. She offered us ice tea, banana bread and strawberries! Went to our gorgeous clean room there was a bottle of wine chilling and the fridge with bottled water in it, She thought of everything! Loved all the Decore in the house too. Breakfast was abundant and really good, still remembering sitting outside on the porch listening to the birds having breakfast. We can't wait to go back! We highly recommend Whispering Pines !!!

Inn At 410 B & B

410 N Leroux
Flagstaff, 86001
Reviews:
We have stayed at the Inn at 410 several times; for anniversary's, birthdays, and just-because occasions and have always had a 5 star experience. We like to switch up the rooms from time to time, since each one has a unique theme. We generally choose the ones with the jacuzzi tub and fireplace; all have cozy and comfortable beds. The owners are always accommodating in our arrival times as well as breakfast so we can get fresh tracks on the mountain. They are friendly and personable and it's obvious they enjoy the B&B and its customers. Its location is in close proximity to several restaurants in and around downtown Flagstaff, making it nice to walk off that decedent meal on the way back. Thank you for creating such a wonderful place for us to retreat from the valley. Hope to stay with you again soon! :)
I've been living in Phoenix for almost a year and a half, but this is my first visit to Flagstaff. I chose to stay at the Inn at 410 because of a friend's glowing recommendation. Little did I know that, even with her rave review, was she able to do this gem justice. Before arriving, Gordon, the owner, happily accommodated my after hours check-in. Armed with a key and directions to my suite, I walked along the path to the back of the very large, gorgeous, historic home. In front of my room (Suite Nature) there were two Adirondack chairs and bench for me to enjoy. Once I opened the door, I was positively beaming. The bed looked plush and inviting (it was), there was a full-size couch with plenty of magazines to read, and fireplace. All of the decor was nature themed, so the furniture was varying types of wood. Walking into the adjacent room, I found that Inn at 410 had thought of everything! There was a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and bottle/wine opener! This room had a large flat screen, couch (which could pull-out and sleep 2), and desk. The bathroom had plenty of towels, a soft robe, and, my favorite part, the shower! The shower head made me feel like I was being bathed in rain right from the mountains. Softest water I've experienced. I wasn't able to enjoy their fabulous breakfast (brunch plans downtown), but I was able to partake in a bowl of delicious, ripe fruit, tasty freshly squeezed Orange Juice, and a great cup of coffee. While dining, Gordon came out to chit-chat with me. He is very personable and genuinely values his guests. The Inn, located in a beautifully charming neighborhood, is a short walk from Downtown Flagstaff featuring plenty of restaurants and bars. My favorite being The Wine Loft! I can not recommend Inn at 410 enough! It truly is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all the beauty Flagstaff has to offer.
Ever since I've was a college student attending NAU in the 90s, my family (parents weekends, grandparents visits, etc.) have come to The Inn at 410 for their stay. This home is unique in every way, from having individually themed rooms, to having a really welcoming feel from the amenities and staff. My wife and I wanted to come back to Flagstaff for our anniversary and chose the Inn as our location. We were warmly welcomed (literally, we came in December) by a friendly innkeeper (Nathlaie) and given recommendations for local places that we didn't know about or hadn't been here 15 years prior. We enjoyed our stay and would encourage anyone to choose the Inn for a bed and breakfast experience. This is *not* a hotel, so if you are looking for that typical experience, you shouldn't pick a B&B. This is a true B&B.

Home away from home! This is an amazing place from the moment we booked the cottage until we left. The owner Pat was a delight to work with from the start. The cottage we had was the 3 bedroom 2 bath at 919 Beaver and was perfect for 5 of us, our in-laws and our dog. We had plenty of room and comfort. You felt like you are staying at Grandma's house. Adorable quint furniture, beds were very comfortable. Extremely clean, lots of towels and incidentals that you don't think about taking. Snacks, coffee cereal, creamer, pancake mix and syrup. They left us a wonderful bottle of wine since it was my husband's and Mother's birthday's. Nice outdoor furniture, a grill, plenty of dishes, utensils, cleaning products, foil, hairdryers, washer dryer with detergent, I could go on and on. You could easily move in and just take your clothes. The owners are very accommodating, it was a hotter than usual weekend for Flagstaff so the owner stopped by and installed a window air-conditioner in the MBR for our comfort. I just can't say enough about this place. We will return!
Comfi Cottages super nice and affordable! Pet Friendly. Kept very clean! Beds are comfortable!
We really enjoyed our stay! A great alternative to your standard hotels....it was homey, cozy, and fairly close to the main drag (not within walking distance in the winter, though). The home on Columbus had a nice gas fireplace in the bedroom, some basics in the fridge (muffins and juice), cable tv, and was pet friendly. We would certainly return!

Wow what a great experience! I have the triple T sandwich which was simply amazing. They did a nice job of bringing all the different flavors together in one sandwich and the bread was very good and well matched. The bow tie pasta is the way to go. I met one of the owners Reggie... really nice guy and so was his staff. He recommended the German chocolate brownie so I took one to go and it was ridiculously good. I wasn't sure where I was going to eat so I looked at Yelp and found this place... What a gem. I will return!
I have been to Jitter's Lunchbox several times and I am always happy. The quality is very good. The Bleu Moo sandwich is amazing and everyone is very friendly. Today I ordered the Porky Pine Salad to go. I got back to work so excited to eat this salad. "Rosemary/apple marinated pork loin, chunky blue cheese, dried cranberries, pine nuts, thinly sliced red onion, and dried apple chips served on a bed of romaine with the Lunchbox's House dressing." I opened it and the first thing I said was "where is the pork' the second was 'that's a lot of bleu cheese". I forgot all about the pine nuts. I found some of those later, after I picked out a ton of bleu cheese (see my picture of that), I ate a lot of the bleu cheese as well. This salad was so disappointing. There is a picture of it posted, mine looked nothing like that. Very small (teeny tiny) pieces of pork which I felt I had to dig around to find. I like bleu cheese but it overshadowed the entire salad. I am really bummed. I am still rating Jitter's Lunchbox with 4 stars because this is the first time I have ever had a complaint. I just won't order this salad again. A note to whomever is making the salads, ease up on the cheese and add a little more meat! My friends Chicken Caesar salad had way too much parmesan cheese too. Those cheeses aren't cheap either.
This is the best brunch and lunch stop in town. It is located on Route 66 near the Santa Fe shopping center on the east side of Flagstaff. It is the same restaurant that used to exist on 4th Street until last year, with the same owners. I reviewed that one as well, and while that review was the work of a talented amateur Yelper, this one will be the work of a seasoned professional Yelper! The same rule applies to this place to a certain extent. While the first location was already excellent, this one is bigger and much nicer, and there are more places to sit inside and outside here compared to the last location. As for the food, it is always excellent and I have never had a bad experience here in the three years I have been coming here. There are quite a few items to choose from here. First I must mention the baked goods. This is one of the few places in Flagstaff that has a decent selection of homemade baked goods. Their offerings include cookies, danish, cupcakes, cheesecake, and more. All of these are excellent in quality. On occasions in the past, I have observed that they sometimes run out of them, so if you are in the need of some of them, I would suggest you come here early, or maybe see if you can order some ahead of time. As for the lunches, there is not a bad sandwich in the house. My favorites are the Blue Moo, and the Tom Terrific turkey. The Blue Moo is a roast beef panini with a bleu cheese spread, spinach, peppers, onion, and others. The Tom Terrific panini consists of turkey, tomato, marinated artichoke hearts, red onion, and Swiss cheese with a spread of jalapeno mayo grilled in a Parmesan crusted telera roll. Both are amongst the best sandwiches I have ever had. They are also formerly members of the rotating featured sandwich of the week. Every week there is a featured sandwich, with the exception of their Quiche Me Monday's, First Friday Frybreads, and other specials throughout the year. Additionally, they have a different soup or chili every day, and a small assortment of sides to choose from. My favorite is the bowtie pasta salad. Last but not least, they have a wide assortment of beverages to choose from. They have the usual teas, coffee, and italian soda, however their best beverage is the VCP, which is essentially Pepsi with a dollop of heavy cream. It is an excellent treat. Finally I would be remiss if I didn't mention their customer service. The owners, Charlene and Reggie are amongst the finest people you will ever meet. They treat their customers warmly and always take the time to greet their regular customers by their first names when they come in. The same goes for the rest of the staff, most notably Brandi, who has been there ever since they opened up the 4th Street cafe 3 years ago. If I were to give them any criticism, it would be that they really need to improve the signage inside. specifically, the size of the lettering on the boards above the customer service counter that contain the menu items. This was also my main criticism of the last location as well. The signage is very difficult for me to read, even with glasses. Also, I have witnessed many people in the past having some degree of difficulty reading them as well, including today. This can result in long lines, and hold up the speed of service, which given the popularity of this place, can happen often during peak hours. Some may often bristle at the prices, however you get what you pay for because everything on their menu is homemade with fresh and high quality ingredients. Where else in town can you find a place that uses bleu cheese spread on their sandwiches? Still, if your worst feature is poor signage, I would say that is not bad for a small cafe. I would dock it a half star because of the signage, but I really lean more towards giving it 5 stars than 4 based on the quality of the food and customer service alone. Yelp's star system just doesn't cut it when it comes to my ability to provide the most accurate review unfortunately. So in short, this is one of the most criminally underrated lunch stops in town. I understand that it is probably out of the way for many Flagstaffians, and especially the lunch crowd from Downtown. However if you are craving great food and don't care about the extra expense, I would definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.

White Dove Coffee Shop

Reviews:
I am writing this since today was the first time I had visited in over a year, and I wanted to review it. While it wasn't the prettiest of all coffeeshops in town as some point out, I enjoyed the food and most of the staff. Most being the relative term, since there was one girl who was so snooty and bad tempered that after my fourth visit, I got tired of her glares and her negative attitude to the point where I was either going to hurt her, or I was going to leave and never come back. Wisely, I chose the latter more peaceful choice and chose to abstain from the coffee shop forevermore...... Until a year later, when I made my triumphant return owing to the fact that I was really parched and as a rule, I needed THE cure of which consists of eating salty sandwiches and drinking coffee all of which can only be enhanced by having an available internet connection where I can take a gander at videos of puppies nipping at kittens and/or themselves. Thereupon I found that not only did they have an excellent internet connection for me to watch puppies on my macbook, but the wicked barista gone, in addition to the fact that it had recently been remodeled and repainted. The result: this has now become one of the finest coffee shops in Flagstaff. I thoroughly enjoyed their Americano coffee, and my custom made sandwich of roast beef with swiss cheese of rye. I plan on becoming a regular now. That'll do White Dove Coffee Shop, That'll do.
Exceptional brew, fantastic concoctions. White chocolate blackberry latte (oak creek) is delightfulllll
Amazing coffee! They use single speed roasters beans which is the best hands down. The breakfast burritos are also great and the salsa will leave you craving to come back. Nice relaxed atmosphere. From my understanding it is a Christian ran and owned coffee shop but have never once been preached to or felt I wasn't welcome.

Baskin-Robbins

1104 S Milton Rd
Flagstaff, 86001
Reviews:
It is often said that a picture alone can speak volumes. Here is my story of this quaint little Baskin Robbins that speaks of my long love affair with my wife and best friend. This review is called "50 Miles for an Ice Cream Cone" Even the normally prescient winds of change could not have predicted such a pivotal day in this young man's life. The local weatherman surmised that what started as a normal springtime shower in phoenix, could actually be classified as a 100 year storm. It was on this day that I purposed to summon enough courage to ask this whimsical blonde in my school to a date. I structured my day in order to finish my engineering class final, attend my music lesson, just in time to pick her up after class. A lot was about to happen, only further complicated by this storm. I finished my exam with a perfect score, and then I quickly raced to my car, as the downpour progressed. The deluge on the streets impeded everyone's progress but mine. At home, I began to practice singing a sweet melody among the hundreds of memorized love songs over the past 4 decades. I memorized multi-generational love songs as they are such a diverse expression of heartfelt words. After practicing, I quickly left my apartment but had an unfortunate mishap. In my haste departing, I didn't see the two lovely twins that always seem to park themselves in front of my door whenever I practiced. I apologized profusely as I had tripped over one of them. Daughters of a divorced mom living next door, they seemed fascinated with my singing. Lovely and adorable as they may have been, my heart had already been smitten by the lovely lady that I was about to pursue towards an end that may be a lifetime. I quickly got into my car, and raced towards my music teacher's home. A Julliard trained former Met performer; she filled her empty days by imparting her gift to young students. Our conversations often reminded her of her deceased husband who had such a passion for music. During class, she noted that there was more tremolo in my voice; rather than the typical vibrato. I explained to her that I was uptight because I was about to ask what may be the only girl I will ever be with for the rest of my life. She smiled and reminded me of the time her husband felt when they first met. She cheerfully and promptly ended our session. When I arrived at the corner where she would board her bus towards her apartment, I saw a figure crossing the street that even in this torrential rain, would seemingly take my breath away. She wore a drenched pink floral dress, and a grey fedora cap - her hair completely soaked. I can't ever forget how she looked, and what she did to me that even in her saturated state, she was lovely and perfect. I made a U-turn, and pulled into the gas station next to the bus stop. I grabbed my umbrella and walked towards her. At this time, she was stomping on the wet sidewalk, for she was quite upset that she missed her bus. Although anger and frustration may evoke negative responses in most people, it just seemed to endear her even more to me. I politely asked if I could lend some assistance. She didn't hesitate to accept my invitation for a ride home. This was my one chance to ask her on a date. As we drove towards our destination, I was quite direct in my questioning. I have never been one to hesitate. I often speak to complete strangers and engender from them life stories. My first question was if she cried much? I often noticed in our previous encounters that she always seemed so sad. She didn't know how to respond, but she did declare that she often did. My next question would be what would her ideal man do for her? She often dreamed as a little girl that the ideal man would go through the trouble of driving 50 miles to get her an ice cream cone. She also sadly exclaimed that no one had ever even asked nor cared about this childhood dream of hers. The rest is history. On our third date, on the way to the Grand Canyon, we drove through Flagstaff. We stopped by this Baskin Robbins and I offered to get her an ice cream cone in any flavor she wanted. I eventually married her and we have been long time friends and lovers ever since. We have always endeavored to relive that fateful day by partaking of the simple pleasure of having a Baskin Robbins ice cream cone in Flagstaff. After having gained, lost and regained fortunes, our tradition persists of driving there whether it was in one of several expensive German convertibles, or a 30 year old clunker that caught on fire in the parking lot. We recently revisited this place. The memories were as new as our first visit. The staff is extremely courteous and quite helpful. And the ice cream is still as sweet as my love for her. This picture is of a recent visit on a rainy day. It brought me to tears as the emotions from memories of years past reminded me of how I have always loved her, and before she came into my life; there was to be the promise of her!
I recommend the World Class Chocolate. It is the best ice cream that this place has! This store is always great! The service is friendly and fun. The place is always well kept and clean. A great place to stop and get ice cream.
After a disappointing dinner elsewhere, my mother-in-law decided we needed a sweet treat to perk everyone up. We arrived after 7pm on a Saturday and found perfect parking out front. The inside was a little crowded, but not chaotic. I knew exactly what I wanted and searched the display case for chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls. This has been my go to ice cream from Baskin-Robbins since I was first introduced many years ago. I was so excited, I got two scoops. My sister-in-law and father-in-law decided on chocolate chip and my husband went with daiquiri ice. Everyone was happy with their choices and felt a little nostalgic. To be honest, I haven't been inside a Baskin-Robbins in many years and while the ice cream is the same, they have a lot of other new items. Joining the coffee craze, they have ice cream mocha drinks and other random milkshakes and smoothies. There was a display case filled with ice cream cakes and other confections. I think they even had a frozen yogurt machine behind the counter. Overall, it was a fun and delicious experience. The employees were very helpful and friendly. The ice cream was delicious and definitely a great treat. If you are looking for classic ice cream, Baskin-Robbins is the way to go. Definitely check it out!

Amazing theatrics here on Milton. Stopped in with the kids for a few treats. The guys were friendly, funny, and their skills were on point. The kids ooohed and awed as they watched their ice cream soar through the air. Awesome staff and will visit again on our next visit to the cabin (assuming everyone eats all their dinner)! Oh, and the ice cream was delicious, especially the Coffee Lovers Only!
The staff was very friendly. Great ice cream as always. Cane in while very busy and the gal did a great job of getting everyone served quickly.
Love Love Love The Cake Batter flavor with chunks of Cookie Dough blended in. I visit Flagstaff for work every once in a while and it's a great treat after a long rollerblade up and down the awesome hills! Need the long rollerblade to burn off the zillion calories that I'm sure my one scoop of Cold Stone delishness contains. At over a five spot for a scoop of ice cream, it isn't cheap....but if I'm gonna do a sweet treat....gonna do it right!
