Really good food really good price however there was a girl walking around the restaurant bare foot. Not a great thing to look at while eating. Good service.

Counter service isn't my favorite when I go out to eat; however, I liked my experience today. The counter service was prompt and friendly and when I asked a couple of questions they were very helpful. I ordered the Fundido and it was SO good! I love the deep fried tortilla in burritos and this completely was satisfying! I brought home left overs to my picky boyfriend who even said it was delicious!

This was one of my favorite spots in Phoenix, and I was so happy when the Flagstaff location opened. The pollo fundido is by far my most favorite item - though I like substituting shredded beef for the chunks of chicken. The jalapeño cream cheese really makes this extra special and delicious. Their shredded beef taco salads and cheese crisps are also very tasty. This is definitely a great spot if you'd like decently authentic Mexican food at a good price. The restaurant itself is very clean and the employees are usually always very pleasant.

I was very disappointed with the food and service I received on 7/4/15. I placed a pickup order and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived 10 minutes later at 7:50pm, the doors were locked and though the employees saw me in the window and the restaurant was open until 8pm that night, the employees did not open the door for me. Another customer ended up letting me in and the employees were unapologetic that they had locked the doors early. The food we received was cold and looked like it had never been fully cooked in the first place as the cheese was not melted. The salsa seemed to be ketchup based and went along with the general lack of flavor and quality that Someburros offers up. Yuck!

Bland and uninspired. Other wise service is good and place is clean. I can echo "April R" on her sentiments about this place. These folks need to retool their spicing/preparation regimen. Take it from someone thats been in the industry, and also lived in Mexico.

A cheap place to eat, the place is 2nd amendment friendly. They food ain't bad, the atmosphere is lively and the people at the counter are friendly and patient. The menu on the wall was a bit weird, but it doesn't subtract any points. I honestly have nothing bad to say about this place. I give out very few fives.

I happened upon this place while spending a night in town during a roadtrip. Perfectly adequate food. Order took about 5 minutes to be completed, so it could definitely be a convenient to-go place if you need it to be. Service was efficient and friendly. Food was fine. Nothing to write home about but better than your regular fast food chain. Chipotle and Qdoba, however, are better in my book.

Fun and casual joint just down the street from NAU. I like the smaller, mom and pop Mexican places better, but Someburros is definitely my go-to in town for Mexican food catering. The atmosphere is really fun and almost cartoonish, which makes it great for kids.

They get my order wrong *every* time at Someburros: two ground beef tacos, rice and beans. This time, however, they got my order wrong and everybody in my party was done eating by the time I got up and told them to bring my food in a to go bag. They finally brought it, and I went back to my office to eat my tacos. M first bite, found a broken up toothpick in two pieces. WHAT IF I HAD SWALLOWED THAT? I don't ever write reviews, I think they're chicken-shit. But I don't plan on going back down there since I'm already back at work. One star.

Ordered fiesta platter for my son's grad party. All was good. Little chimis & picarros were a hit. Service was very good. My problem? I bit into a chimi and kept finding hard stuff in it. It was pieces of a plastic fork. This had me wondering how it got there. Did food drop on the floor & they picked it up & continued to use it? Did someone put it there on purpose?

Good fast Mexican food for lunch. Not quite authentic, but consistent and good tasting.

Bland Bland Bland. Nothing special here for sure. I think the college kids and those who don't know Mexican food will like it, but I didn't care for the food. The atmosphere is nice, good Mexican music in the background and it is nicely decorated and very clean. But atmosphere and cleanliness can't help if the food is subpar. My husband had a chicken burrito with green sauce (which was an extra $1.15) when he got it there was about a 1/4 cup of cheese melted on top and a teaspoon of green sauce. When I went to the counter to complain the clerk told me it must have soaked up in the rice. I told him it hadn't and he asked the kitchen for more. In a way we were sorry we made an issue because the green sauce was more like a floury gravy with some canned green chiles in it. If you think Bell Peppers are spicy and like a raw flour taste in your gravy this is the sauce for you. I had the 3 chimichanga plate and was also disappointed. I had it with red chile, green chile, and machaca...they were indistinguishable between the 3 chimis and what little meat (maybe a tablespoon at best) was in them was bland. The tortilla was crisp and fried nice and the guacamole was fine, but tortilla and guac should not be the star of a chimichanga dish. The only thing I somewhat liked were the rice and beans, they had a nice flavor. I wanted to like them because I remember the parent restaurant Poncho's in south Phoenix being pretty good back in the day. This, sadly, is a commissary version of the original.

Clean restaurant, attentive employees, but unfortunately unremarkable food. It wasn't bad, just wasn't what I was hoping for. The Pollo Fundido had a nice crisp to the tortilla, but the jalapeño cream cheese topping advertised came out as plain sour cream. If you are out of a product, then advise the customer beforehand, otherwise I expect what my order as advertised on your menu. One more suggestion to patrons... Don't drink the water here... It has a godawful taste to it... And that's from their fountain. Meh

Got a burrito and it was really bland. Not much flavor at all. I didn't finish it which is really rare if you know me. There is a lot of much better options for mexican food in town. I won't be back.

This was a catering order for a business lunch. Everything was bland bland bland. We had mini-chimis, burros, beans, rice, salsa and guac. None of it was at all memorable. Most burros were half-eaten due to the bland flavor. A touch of salt would have helped...this tasted like nothing. Daughter ate there and said the cheese enchiladas were not bad. Go elsewhere.

We really like this place. We've always received great service and they have great deals for family night. They also serve vegetarian beans and have a good selection for those of us who do not eat meat. Service is fast enough to eat on your lunch break but it does not feel like you are eating fast food.

Wow... there is a first time for everything, I have never before had my food taken away while I was in the bathroom, not that it was a big loss. As many reviewers have said before me this stuff is bland, and I mean really bland, anyone who thinks this is Mexican food is daft, Mexican food has flavor.

For folks looking for solid Sonoran-style Mexican food, this is your place. Quality is substantially similar to the Phoenix metro locations. This Flagstaff location is clean with a friendly staff, and efficient service. Highlights: Great kids meals Fantastic hot sauce #1 combo

This is not mexican food! Has no flavor, it's terrible food of the mexican wannabe type. Typical Phoenix mexican food now available in Flagstaff! yay for us! Not. Go back to PHX. blah! I was on the pot for 2 days after eating here! beware!!!!!

Look, these are fast food, and if you want heavy Mexican food - it is the place to go! College students at NAU get some kind of deal. They have this as a chain in Tempe and it has lasted forever. Why? Because the food is fast, the food is good and the food is cheap. Since going to these in Tempe, they have added some pretty cool desserts, in their little mason jars. They are phenomenal. Please give this restaurant a try. I catered my work party with them, and my employees loved it!

Tacos are ok but don't order the burritos. They have no flavor, they just throw meat in a tortilla

I had high expectations for this place being they were from the valley.. I even showed up to their grand opening and received free burros for a year, well one a month anyway. Took my whole family out to eat here shortly after it opened and we haven't returned, I even gave the free burro card away. The food is kind of bland to me again not what I expected and I wouldn't recommend it!

Very good basic Mexican Food! Good variety of entrees adds depth, good albondiga soup for a fall chilly day! What impressed me the most was the level of service we received from the entire staff. You can tell that the management has done a very good job training employees. We'll definitely be returning soon!

Some Burros salsa is great and so is the fundito burrito. My family orders take out from here every Friday. Last Friday we ordered the chicken avocado salad. The lettuce had ice on it and was completely frozen and so was the chicken. We called in and they offered us the same order free the next time we come in. They honored that when we came in today and we got free food. The lettuce was, again, frozen. The chicken was fine this time but we were very disappointed.

I attended Someburros during the opening weekend. The new restaurant has a great décor in a comfortable setting. I was greeted by the family (owners) who all seemed genuinely happy to be there and make everyone feel at home. Typically I am the type of guy who finds one item that I like at a restaurant and then I stick with it. However at Someburros there are so many great choices that I always find myself ordering and enjoying different items. The carne asada burrito, Rod Burro, and chicken avocado salad are all my favorites.

I had lunch here with my boss today, at what I think is the restaurant's "soft" opening. They officially open Monday, June 3rd. We both had entrees with red chili beef, which was nothing short of fantastic. The beef was fork-tender and moist, and the red chili sauce was extremely flavorful with just the right amount of heat. Service was fast - food delivered to our table in about 6 minutes. Service was attentive, and prices are very reasonable. Both of us can't wait to go try more items on the menu. I highly recommend Someburros to anyone who loves good, authentic Mexican food!

Have been in several times. The Chicken Avocado Salad is usually good, although sometimes skimpy on the avocado. Shredded beef is good in anything. We like the salsa, and the rice and beans are good too. Service is very friendly but when we were there a week ago it was very slow in spite of not being that busy. We'll go again.

I don't know what's going on with all the haters.. solid lunch spot and under $10 for a burrito and beer what else can you ask for. Might not be the best mexican in town but overall was very enjoyable and I will definitely be coming back.

Some Burros. Bland Chain Food. There are MUCH better choices in Flagstaff. The place was clean, the Menu is HUGE. Various combinations of the same fillings/toppings. One salsa. At least they sell Coke products.

We went there for a work meeting. The service was okay, but the food isn't that great. A few of us agreed on this point.

Walked in and the place looked great, however waiting 45 minutes for my food wasn't so pleasant. Many parties that ordered after me got their food before me and I had to go to the front twice before my food FINALLY made it to my table. After waiting for almost an hour the food was decent, but not worth the wait. If they had been more organized I would've enjoyed this place much more.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
