This is a tiny little "hole in the wall" place that serves great Thai food. All of the food was authentic and fresh. The staff was helpful and nice, and we enjoyed everything about this place. We had the pahd Thai, the Panag curry and the pork chop dish (#37) that our server recommended to us. We also got the fried bananas with coconut ice-cream. Awesome.

The food is very good here the owner is one of the cooks and she remembers her customers and their preferences. She will taylor your order to your liking. She is tiny and gentle. I hope it was not the owner that was treated so cruelly. The previous poster Sam L from Spokane says he does not tip owners. He failed to verify whether or not the employee was the owner or not. That was his bad. Why didn't he verify. Think about that. He was an owner, I doubt it. Then how could he forget to verify the employment status of his server. Like a child, he mimicked her accent. And like a child he appears to search for reasons not to tip. He certainly had his justifications laid out to defend this in his own mind. Pretty sure everyone else can read him quite well. I'm not sure I buy that she looked over his shoulder. There may have been some words exchanged by this bully and the "old lady" (how gentlemanly) however I doub't that it was over that. More than likely that redneck became abusive. Why else did the woman tell him not to come back. Notice he was asked not to come back , Before...he said he would not be back. Too bad, he will have to find someone else to be a jerk to. Bet it won't be a young man.

I am a red curry fiend and I have been searching for the best red in town. This was the fifth place we tried and this is the place we are sticking with. Everything we ordered was great and the price was very fair. The lady that was there as the server was very sweet! Be aware, the place is literally little but it is cozy and happy. It's a must try!!

So here's a DOOZY of a story for you, one you've probably never heard before. Agree or disagree with my opinion on the matter but hey, this is how I roll. I tip everywhere except to restaurants where the owners serve the clientele. Why? Because the owners are probably too cheap to hire a server and I will not tip them. Because by tipping an owner they are now getting paid three times. 1st off of food, than by the cook doing all the work the owner gets a salary and then a tip....NOT A CHANCE. It's like when people tip on the entire bill. You're already getting penalized once (from the tax) why would you penalize yourself twice by tipping entire bill, tipping from total not including the tax is how I tip. Every other server that serves me (again, not including owner) gets 20-30%. (I was a server for three years) The first time I went into Little Thai at lunch by myself, there was an old lady whom, I had presumed, was the owner. I did not tip. Second and last time (about a month later) I went in and again alone, same lady was there. I had her bring me the bill before I was done. When I finished eating, I began to fill out my credit card receipt (no tip) and the lady walked up behind me and was looking over my shoulder. I laid the black credit card holder on the table and began to gather my things. As I was about to get up to leave, the lady came up to me and was mumbling, I thought she was telling me to have a nice day but as she began to become more understandable, I was hearing her say "....Awwwww, I rememba yu, yu no tip las time!!! I qwean yo table and yu no tip!!! This now two times!!!! Yu no make it three!!!!" I was stunned. Before I left, I went up to the counter and asked the woman if she was the owner and she said no. Now I did feel bad because I had made a wrong assumption but the longer I thought about it, the more it just didn't sit well with me. Sorry, in America, restaurant tips not required and the way she handled it was just so beyond me that I'l never go back. (LOOKING OVER MY SHOULDER TO SEE WHAT TIP I GAVE!!!!) And the food is just mediocre so why go back for mediocre food and unprofessionalism I've never encountered in 30+ years??!!???.....NAHHHHHH, NO THANKS, I'LL TAKE MY MONEY AND TIPS ELSEWHERE

Really friendly and knowledgeable waitress. The food was fresh, homemade Thai. It was very delicious. Their spice scale is a little on the lower end though, so if you do like spicy get 5.

  • Freddy G.

I love this little whole in the wall. Everything I have had at this place has been delicious, filling and fairly priced. The only down side is that the place itself is very small and can take some time with orders when full. For me its worth the wait since the food is so tasty that I have become a regular.

  • Anna G.

Awesome iced Thai Coffee and I love their #29. Small place but great, and the server will usually tell you what they like. Pretty good spice level, a 4 or 5 will be pretty spicy. A 2 is what I usually get, just enough heat to be good.

This place is a joke! Nasty ass Thai food. That's all I have to say! Broth has no flavor at all. They used frozen shrimp and pre cut mushroom. What kind of tum yum soup are you making. You should be shut down!!!

Was in Flagstaff for the night and as we pulled into the city my date asked if I was hungry and ready for dinner, and I said Yep sure am, now haven't been in Flagstaff in many many years I was fully prepared to pull out my Yelp app and see what's in the area. Date said after we check in at the motel we can find some place to eat, so I went with that plan, on the way to the motel, I noticed this little Thai place on the left hand side and mental noted it to check it out on Yelp. We checked in got our bags in the rooms, then he said ok where should we go, I said lets go try that Thai place out, so that's what we did. Now since the 1st date to here he is fully aware of my Yelp Nerd Powers, and he said what did Yelp have to say about it, I told him honestly I haven't even looked yet lol We got their around 8, the place is small and about 50% full, we were seated right away. The hostess/waitress was very friendly and polite. I ordered Pad Thai Noodles Thai Hot, every place differs on that, and for me it could have been hotter. I also ordered some Thai tea, which was the perfectly mixed! Happy to have spotted this place and given it a try.

Located in the middle of a strip mall, I was not expecting much. We went on a Monday night and snagged the last table open. The service was very fast. The spicy chicken noodle soup was good; enough to share. However, stay away from the thai salad which was pretty much a side salad with iceberg lettuce, carrots, peppers, tomatoes and a side of peanut sauce.

I am giving this place only one star because the pricing was completely out of line! Firstly, THERE ARE NO RESTROOMS!!!!! how do they even get away with that? We had spring rolls with "special Thai sauce". Aka sugar water! The Prawn appetizer was frozen smallish shrimp. The entrees were portioned for a very light lunch and priced for a very large dinner. Totally dissatisfied with our visit to this establishment....do yourself a favor...STAY AWAY!

  • Michael M.

My gf and I ordered their pad thai. We were very dissatisfied. Dish had a bit of a sweet flavor. The rice noodles were overcooked. In addition they serve it with the noodles cut up into 1 inch strips. Also did not include any monk beans in the dish.

Don't let anything fool you. This the best Thai food in flagstaff by far! The four musketeers is the business and the coconut ice cream is the best I've ever had and I've eaten at over 50 Thai restaurants.

  • Raymond M.

No beef on the menu!! Very Small portions. Not very good. Spent $30 for very little food and no leftovers.

  • Chowda J.

Take out was the smallest potion I have ever seen. Watered-down Curry was strike two. There are better places to choose from (e.g. Pato, Swadee).

Great food, GREAT service, she gave us some Thai tea to try while we waited for food. The soups are delicious and so are the veggie dishes and noodles (PAD THAI). Cute little place*, good food, good price. *doesn't have a bathroom though heads up.

  • F S.

Average taste as far as Thai food goes. Ordered 7-8 entrees on their menu. Prices seemed reasonable but it was due to the rather small portions. Be very careful when ordering for takeout. Our bill got padded by 10%. When asked why the discrepancy, we were informed of numerous "up-charges" per dish which are not listed on the menu and appeared to be on the fly.

    (2)
  • R J.

Very small portions, and I ordered 4 out of 5 for spice...it was only a 1. The waitress gave me some spices to add to it, and that didn't even help. Then she argued with my family, because I complained.

I got take out and the service was very good. Kind staff. Quality of good was fine, nothing to shout about.

Cashew Nut Tofu: this was a refreshing crispy delight with just barely cooked veggies with sauteed tofu. The spices were not overpowering, I ordered the 2/5 spicy scale. This dish was certainly not what I was expecting. This dish was a Much lighter fare then the Thai food I have had in Seattle and Chicago. This is my first time at this little restaurant that seats about 24 people max. I will come back to try something else.

Ordered Pad see ew, noodle tastes not fresh at all. Cooked From last week or something .

Best find in Flag. Only place for Thai in Flag. Super reasonable, nicest owner. Whenever we're on our way to home to Prescott and we're hungry this is our first choice. Food is always fresh.

  • NK S.

A very friendly spot, I was the only person in the place that the waitress didn't know personally. Food is good, just be prepared for smaller portions than you may be used to receiving at your usual Thai restaurant. You will NOT leave hungry. Just don't expect to leave with enough for tomorrows lunch *gasp!*

  • C. N.

Don't think that the title is trying too mislead you. This place is SMALL! In my opinion, the food here is pretty good. The price is not bad. I was a bit disappointed that they do not have lunch specials but the platters start at 7.95 which is decent. I had the emerald chicken which came with slices of chicken (obviously), carrots, and broccoli in a pretty bland "house sauce" with some rice. The meat and veggies were fresh. My friend had the pad Thai and that looked pretty good. I would recommend the Little Thai Kitchen.

This little yelper went for Thai food. This little yelper had some. This little yelper had pad thai. And this little yelper had satay. And this little yelper tried tea, tea, tea all dinner long. I've had Thai from coast to coast. My favorite Thai place is a hole in the wall in Berkeley. So I speak from some experience of Thai food. LTK is 2 star food + 1 star for service. As other reviewers have pointed out the portions on some items are a bit...little. Like the restaurant itself, which has a seating capacity of 22. The little salad (the server even said that as she set it down on the table) with peanut sauce was tasty. The chicken satay was ok. The yellow curry flavor was lost in the coconut milk and somewhat blanded out the satay. The pad thai was ok as well. Safe, not terribly interesting, no heat. As a matter of fact if you enjoy hot Thai food you will have to beg them to make it hot. I don't know if they are afraid of a lawsuit or what but they just don't bring the heat I expect at Thai places. Just ok.

It's been about a year and a half since the last time I had eaten here in the very small strip center Thai restaurant. And the food is, at best, just OK. It seems like there has been a recent upswing in Thai restaurants in Flagstaff, so you almost need to stand out.... And they don't here. We had the Tom Ka Gai, and it was not as creamy as I have had it in the past (and how I prefer it). There was also something floating in my water glass....ewwwww. It's also a little pricey in my opinion for what you get, and for the comparable establishments around it. I probably will not go back.

  • Spencer M.

Great food, great service. This is one of those little gems that you end up conflicted about. You want the food and service to stay just the same, but wouldn't it be great if they could expand and have a few more tables and maybe a beer list. I was on a mission for Tom Ka Gai to save me from the depths of a spring cold, mission successful. Soup was great. We also had the ginger chicken and the emerald chicken. Both were super fresh and light and delicious! Portions are not what you are probably use to but I still took leftovers home. Yum.

This is some of the best Thai food I've had in the state! It's sweet, savory and spicy in all the right ways, and I can't seem to get enough of it. They offer a wide variety on their menu, which is great if you're a vegetarian or new to Thai. The service is always friendly and you can't beat the price. Their only drawback is they have a very small location with no bathroom. But the good news is they offer carry out to compensate for that. All in all this place is wonderful and I'd recommend it to anyone.

    (4)
  • Jon T.

Little is no joke. I could cal this a hole in the wall but that would make it sound uninviting it is very pleasant space if you're not claustrophobic. Not a vegetarian but I love crispy tofu so often I will order the Rambo tofu here. I think the variety might be better (there are some Thai dishes I like that they don't have), and there was a time they were sending people to the Walgreen's across the street to us their bathroom; hopefully that has changed. But a nice menu of tasty affordable dishes to be found here.

I am pretty biased in favor of this place. A friend of mine used to get us take out from here all the time and I really liked it. The food quality wanders between very good and just above decent (I can't account for the inconsistency). I suggest that you get it to go; there isn't much in the way of atmosphere. Service is basic and straightforward, but hardly warm and fuzzy. It helps to ask for recommendations when ordering (some times there are off-menu specials). Overall. a good place to grab lunch on a cold day.

Delicious appetizers and desserts, but I have always been disappointed by the quality of their entrees.

Five stars because this is by far the best Thai food in Flagstaff. Other places rely too much on heavy sauce, overloading with oyster and/or fish sauce, or having fancy pants decor. Little Thai Kitchen is little, they serve Thai food, and it tastes like it was made in your grandma's kitchen (if your grandma was from Thailand and loved to cook.) Little. Thai. Kitchen. I'm vegetarian and this place is especially great for me because there are no hidden meat products. If you order without meat, you get a meat-free dish. If you order with meat, you get fresh, well-prepared meat. The little salad you get with the peanut sauce is SO good. Yum :) I am particularly fond of the Cashew Nut Tofu (also available with chicken) and the Bangkok Noodles. The curries are fantastic. The veggies are always fresh and as lovely to look at as they are to eat. My dad is very fond of the Pad Thai. Mukta is usually working the front house...she is so sweet and kind. I suppose you could argue that other Thai restaurants in town have more ambiance and might make a better date destination. But wouldn't your date be more impressed that you know how to find good food than that you picked a place with fancy decor? Do you want to date someone who cares more about looks than substance? No, you don't. Go to Little Thai Kitchen :)

Fresh food, fantastic ingredients, great quality and service - ALWAYS! It is a tiny little place, and tough to go with kids as there isn't a restroom available on site (though you can use a neighboring sandwich shop's restrooms which is very cool of them!). This is our favorite Thai restaurant - seems a bit healthier than some others (maybe less sugar in the sauces). We have takeout on a weekly basis - kids LOVE it!

What this place lacks in size and decor it more than makes up for in flavor and price. After hearing about this place from quite a few friends I couldn't not try this restaurant. The main reason being that at that time there was very few options in flagstaff and I was dying for a new place to eat. I absolutely love the #3 (I think) it is light and delicious and fun to share with someone you love. Next up is the spice beef and noodle soup, which I find to be absolutely delicious. My favorite entrees are yellow curry and the Rambo. If you are in the mood for delicious food that might be a little out of the ordinary flagstaff fare than I strongly suggest checking this place out. Service is friendly and quick and almost every dish I have tried has been quite good. The only reason I am giving it four stars is for the size and difficulty of accommodating parties larger than I would say around 5-6.

Had pad Thai. Boring and bland looked and tasted like it didn't have any sauce on it. The peanut dressing on the salad was great though. Waitstaff didn't pay any attention and spent 95% of the time in the back talking. Very slow. Took almost 30 min for pad Thai with only 1 other person in the resteraunt.

Food establishments that do not have a working bathroom and opt to give you hand sanitizer instead concern me. Why? Just think about that for a minute.....

My second visit. This time i had the same beef with brocolli, etc and also Green Curry. We also had the number 6 crispy toufu. The only thing I enjoyed this time was the salad and the green curry. The beef was ok. They actually served me a wrong item (fried spring roll). It was basically spring roll wrapped with mayonaise inside. No kidding. The Crispy toufu is miserable. 8 triangular pieces, really small. Only tasty due to the sauce. The portions of the dishes are really small. The Thai iced tea is quite tasteless.

  • Stephanie S.

This was without a doubt the worst Thai food I have EVER had in my life. Thai ice tea was somehow warm even though it was on ice. Pad se ew had an awful flavor (buttery in a bad way) as did the Thai salad which seemed as if it came from a drive thru. The Tom ka gai was watery and brown(instead of white from the lack of coconut milk) and tasted strongly of mushroom. Not even a hint of lemon grass. They were somehow out of beef and the chicken they served us looked like the kind that comes out of a dog food can. The only good dish was the chicken satay but there were only three measly skewers. Not enough for an appetizer. The sauces that came with we're amazing though. Overall I will not be coming back and would of rather had airplane food for dinner

This is the best Thai food I have ever eaten, and honestly I love the small space that it is in! The service is always incredibly friendly and serve quality food in decent time. Their salads have this amazing peanut sauce that is divine. My favorite dish is the Yellow Curry with Chicken. I order other things occasionally but nothing compares to the curry! My boyfriend gets the Rambo, which is equally delicious. I like it best with beef, it gives it a smokier taste. :) I cannot praise this tiny, comfy, and sweetly managed restaurant enough!

  • Penney B.

Food was tasty, but if you need a restroom you will probably have to get into your car and find one. They don't have a restroom for public use, although they have 10 tables which seat 20 people. They do have a hand sanitizer on the counter. It is a bit annoying that the rice portion was small and we were charged an extra $1.50 each to get that small portion of brown rice.

My husband & I disagree quite a bit when it comes to this place; and I have to admit, I am a bit biased. I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars because there are 3 dishes that I like that they make well here-- green curry with chicken, Southern fried rice, and massuman curry with chicken. I like that they make dishes kinda light but tasty. My husband on the other hand is a fan of Pad Thai in general but he finds that this restaurant misses the mark on that one (and I've tried it too, it has far too much tamarind sauce). It is a very small restaurant (no restrooms for customers) but the staff is friendly. Best of all, the menu options are cheap.

My favorite rest. In Flag. Best quality. Gracious service. Low prices.

  • Tash R.

I love this place. Good Thai food and it's not all that expensive compared to other Thai Food places. It's a cute little Thai restaurant that has a warm atmosphere. With dinner meals they give you a tasty, small side salad with peanut sauce. Every dish I have tried is delicious and sort of like an orgasm in your mouth. The proportions are good sizes and the owner always seems to know the people who come in so it can feel homey.

This little place is tucked away in a little strip mall on the small side of town. Really, if you didn't know where to look, you might never find it, but that's ok because that's more for me. I love this place, great curry and noodles and served in a timely matter. This place is small (if you didn't get my gist earlier) and fills up quickly and is loud, but the food is great. I think its the best Thai in town and that's saying something considering that Flagstaff has like 1,000 thai places. Try this place, but you might want to take turns because like I said they are a bit short on space...get it short on space...nevermind. Just try this place, you won't regret it.

    (5)
  • Chris T.

I've never ordered anything at this place that satisfied a thai craving. Place is incredibly small (maybe 10 chairs in whole place?). Service has always been terrible. I've given this place 4-5 times to improve (ordering different meals mind you) and they just can't get it right. Why waste the time?

    (2)
  • Raana A.

Wonderful service! Nice setting, even if tiny. I think the food is very flavorful and the ingredients are high quality. We like spicy food, but not so hot that it overwhelms all the other flavors of the food, so we were more than satisfied with the level of heat. The curries were excellent, as was the Pad Thai and Pad Si Ew. We also love being able to grab Thai 'to go' without having to make our way to downtown. We will be back here A LOT!

I'm no Thai food aficionado, but I know what's good and what I like. I've eat Thai food in NYC, San Francisco, LA, etc. LTK is good. I travel to Flagstaff once a month and try to hit LTK regularly. And they don't call is Little Thai Kitchen for nothing, it's tiny. Only room for 20 diners and that's when you're sitting elbow to elbow. Last night I placed an order to go. The staff is super nice. As I picked up my order and got into the car, one of the servers came running out. The kitchen had forgotten to pack the chicken in my chicken satay. And when I got home, my tom yum gai was actually tom kha gai. Oh well. I also ordered my food hot...on a level of 1 to 5, I asked for five. It wasn't that hot. I like this place, and I think that the foundation is good. Service could probably be kicked up a notch and the food has room for improvement. But, it still satisfies my Thai craving when I'm in Flagstaff.

I have been going to this restaurant for about 4 years now and until recently it was my favorite place for thai food. When I went about two months ago I discovered a change in quality. From the moment I walked in with my family until I left we received the worst service ever! The waiter spent the entire time flirting with her boyfriend and neglected to serve us. We had to do everything for ourselves. On top of that the thai ice tea was drowned with creamer and the food was not hot and fresh. When I called the owner she promised to comp our next meal for the bad service. When we went again, they lied about who the owner was and would not comp the meal. In fact the service was just as bad as the previous visit. After 4 years I am parting my ways with this place. If you want crappy service and mediocore Thai food, this is your place.

Little Thai Kitchen is by far my favorite Thai restaurant in Flagstaff. Their food is affordable and delicious- you really can't go wrong. My favorite dishes are the evil prince of the wild jungle and rambo. Both of these are offered with meat or vegetarian and both are to die for! Their crispy wonton appetizer is delightful- it is filled with potatoes and other vegetables and curry, served with a sweet dipping sauce. Friends of mine who swear they don't like Thai food love to come here as well. The dishes are authentic and unique, with a wide selection depending on what you like. They also ask how spicy you would like your food, on a level of 1-5. Every entrée comes with a small side salad that has a peanut dressing on it. My Mom and I love the salad so much that we usually order a regular sized one to eat before the meal. It is that good! I have had Thai food in many different cities, from coast to coast, and this is one of the best places I've ever been to. I highly recommend it if you live in Flagstaff or if you are just visiting.

After eating at Pato Thai, I have to say that I like Little Thai less. They're more expensive, the restaurant is cramped, and the portions are smaller. It's still really good, and I appreciate that they are knowledgeable and can accommodate my gluten intolerance (there is only one option on the menu you can eat if you're GF, but at least you know you're safe!). They're always really friendly. So...I've had better, but they're not bad. Oh, and try the tiger rolls if you CAN eat gluten. They are so amazing. You only get two and they're pricey, but so worth it.

Evil Prince of a Wild Jungle is the BEST!!!!!! The tea is great, the Tiger Rolls are great, the service is great. This place is just great all around.

My rice dish (#16) was very greasy and totally disappointing. Max hotness tasted only very mild. Salad was just lettuce. To be fair, other people's dishes looked better than mine.

  • Penelope M.

This is great (although very tiny) Thai restaurant. Everything we had was tasty and carefully prepared. We ordered all vegetarian dishes. Some restaurants offer vegetarian options but they aren't very good. At Little Thai Kitchen the vegetarian dishes are delicious and satisfying. The spice level was perfect (pick your leve of spicy on a scale of 1 to 5). Even the hot tea we ordered was wonderful. Also, I like the fact that you get a small salad with peanut dressing before your meal. The only negative to this restaurant is that currently there is no bathroom in the restaurant itself. You have to go across the street to Walgreens. Even so, I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Flagstaff!

  • Ryan C.

This place is simply awesome.. Simple, tiny little place with very little seating and amazing food. I lived in Flagstaff for a spell and a bit of history, this restaurant was started from a chefs of a larger, popular thai restaurant that wanted to create a healthy, original twist to the everyday thai dishes you find in popular restaurants. My favorite: Bangkok Noodles with chicken. Probably one of my favorite Thai restaurants of all time. No joke!
