This place is wonderful! From the outstanding service to delicious food at a fair price, this place is a must when you're in Buffalo, Wyoming. The menu is priced well and the portions are plentiful and with fresh brewed coffee, you'll always have a steaming cup in front of you. I only stopped in for breakfast, but this place is open until 8pm everyday. I only wish I'd stopped in for lunch to see what else they had to offer! This place is attached to the Historic Occidental Hotel, and owned by the same gentleman. We were only traveling through Buffalo, but this place was quite the find. If I'm ever in Buffalo again, you'll definitely find me at the Busy Bee! If you decide to go, ask for Kia, she's a sweetheart and you won't be disappointed!

"GREAT" service. I am a server at a busy fine dining restaraunt so maybe my standards are a bit too high when it comes to dining out. I get that its a cafe, so service is usually a little more casual, however I do see the need to at least be kind, ask how we are doing, refills? Maybe ask how our food is before it's more than halfway eaten. The food was great. That was the best part. Our server was extremely offputting, and just.... unpleasant. I highly doubt I will be back. I am giving this a generous 2 stars because the food was good.

Dreadful. Food was very slow in arriving. They got the order wrong. There was a hair sticking out of one of the sandwiches. The food was awful. Avoid this overpriced tourist trap at all costs.

My husband & I biked into town from the KOA campsite & decided to grab dinner. We needed s place where we could eat & see our bikes which there were not many places. Busy Bees looked nice but I should have looked closer at their menu before we sat down & stayed. The menu & lack of people should have been my first clues that this might not be a great place to eat. The waitress was nice but seemed preoccupied with closing duties, I'm gluten free which is why I should have honestly just left after the waitress had no idea what gluten free was. I kind explained the big thing was wheat, ie bread, hoping for some suggestions. I decided to not get a salad as my main course and get s steak with potatoes a salad an fruit. I asked for the gravy on the side as it has flour most likely. Our meals came out easily 25 mins later, with out my husbands beer and gray all over my dish. I scraped it off the steak which was easily 40% fat & my husband eat my potato & I had his fries. The salad, I'm not sure where they got their veggies but wow McDonald's has better salad. The dressing was great though. We never got refills on our water and when as about dessert we said no. The waitress had turned around the closed sign earlier during our stay which didn't help either. Our meal came out to $41. I've been traveling for almost 2 wks camping in a Jeep and this was worst meal for sure. Maybe their breakfast is better.

It is a nice little cafe you can eat in the hotel that is attached if need be. The breakfast steak and eggs was not to rave about but it filled the hunger pangs. The staff was very friendly and service was good. The breakfast Burrito was unusual since it was covered in sausage gravy. The French toast was the big hitter for being the winner for breakfast. This cafe is featured on Longmier TV show.

My wife and I ate breakfast here and we were both pleased. I ordered the Longmire plate with Country Fried Steak, 2 eggs, hash browns and a very good biscuit. The service was quick and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was well prepared and was just good old fashioned diner food. No complaints at all. We will eat here again.

The perfect breakfast. The setting is wonderful, right in the middle of town with a stream running outside. We were the first ones to show up for breakfast when we were there and could not have been more pleased with the service and the quality of our meal. I will definitely be back.

Painful waiting for our food. Waited at least 35 minutes. When it arrived omelet was good but biscuits hard and too salty. Kids meal cold. Funky interior. Waitress had dirty fingernails and kept running hands thru hair and didn't inquire how our meal was. Next time we will skip this cafe.

My wife and I pulled into Buffalo, WY, aka Durant, WY, on Labor Day evening, and went looking for a place to eat. Some restaurants were closed, but we found the Busy Bee Cafe. I asked if Longmire was in, and I was told I had just missed him. I didn't think he would talk to one of the tourists anyway. I thought about ordering "the usual", but then I decided that would be presumptuous of me. My wife got the French dip and I got a hot dog. We both got lemonade. Everything was good. We sat so we had a clear view of Clear Creek.

Wow - waited 50 minutes for the breakfast "special". Had to serve my self coffee. I'm from a small town so I know that is no excuse for poor service. The place wasn't even busy. Many customers walked out, but we waited. Finally, the super nice owner brought our very average eggs, hash browns, bacon & biscuit. Not exactly my order but close enough since I had no intention of waiting for a correction. This place has potential but they need to fire their staff and start over!

Stopped for lunch today. My husband had the cheeseburger and cole slaw and I had half chicken salad sandwich and a cup of corn chowder. All was tasty and the view of the creek was nice. The cole slaw was marinated and my husband enjoyed it. The sandwich was on wheat bread with fresh tomato.

Quick service. Basic breakfast that does the trick. Typical Wyoming service with a smile. Staff was friendly, talkative and never let my coffee cup go empty.

If you're looking to spend your money on a mediocre breakfast then this is your place. Scrambled eggs, frozen cooked potatoes and a sausage patty $8. Overpriced, pretty flavorless and nothing special. I'm only giving it 2 stars because the service was good. Maybe my expectations were too high.

My friends and I went here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. When a server finally came to our table, after thirty minutes of waiting, we were told that breakfast was no longer being served as it was 11:01; one minute after their breakfast ends. I've been to several smaller establishments in small towns where the servers are incredibly friendly and almost bend over backwards to help you have a great meal... not here.

Horrible service. Waitress never came over to take our order so we left. The only thing we got was water and a coffee. Just horrible

Went here for lunch had the prime rib French dip sandwich meat was very tasty but not very much meat on the sandwich. Husband had a chicken salad and there was very little chicken on it. Not sure we would come back here.

We had the best ever buffalo burger with a vinegar based coleslaw. Delicious. Would recommend to anyone. Will stop again when back in this area. Plus, Buffalo is a great little town to visit.

I've been here twice the first time was ok. The second time was for lunch, the food was ok the service was horrible. The quality of this place depends on who serves you.

Convenient to I 90. Bison burger with fresh ciabatta roll delicious accompanied by Occidental Pale Ale. Fresh slaw(no mayonnaise a plus) and to top it off homemade cherry pie!

Based on the reputation the original Busy Bee had, I was very excited to try this place out. The breakfast menu was small, and the "combo" options were quite limited. I tried the pancakes (only one kind, I was told from Krustez mix), which were what you would expect from a mix. The bacon was really good. The biscuits and gravy were okay. The biscuit was HUGE, but it, along with the gravy, was kind of bland. The country potatoes were cooked just right, but again, little flavor. The atmosphere was fun, but the food just wasn't what I had hoped for. The service was stereotypically "small town," which is good since that is what Buffalo is. I just wish the Busy Bee, if it is going to try and capitalize off the name, would provide the same level of food as its namesake.

Wow- the food was great...but... The poor server was working his first day and his crabby co-worker apparently was not open to helping the new-"bee." The atmosphere was cute but is much in need of some TLC. Would not go back which is really too bad because the food was yummy.

We ate here for dinner last night. We were really disappointed. The wait person was unfriendly and disinterested. Our burgers were served raw and when we sent them back it was obvious they were microwaved bun and all. We would not recommend this place

Okay, second time I had breakfast there and it was very poor both times. On my last and final visit, our party was told they were out of biscuits, orange juice and English muffins... They already have a limited breakfast menu so this made it even smaller; and how can you be out of orange juice! So I ordered the breakfast burrito with green chili sauce. The burrito had very little in it (not to mention the waitress forgot to ask what type meat I would like) and they forgot to add the cheese! A third of my burrito was shell. The chili sauces was basically a scoop of green chilies and that was it... The meal was very disappointing! A waste of money. I would recommend going elsewhere for breakfast (and other meals as I had heard similar issues during lunch) which is to bad because it has a nice atmosphere and could be a wonderful place.

After reading stellar reviews we tried to go to Tom's. Unfortunately for us they are closed. Because we were hungry we thought we would give the Busy Bee a try. We were here for breakfast, and while we were not here early (10:00) , they were completely unprepared for service. Two other tables, and ourselves, waited about ten minutes to get our tables cleaned and to get menus. Our waitress acted like she couldn't be bothered...no good morning, no smile. I ordered the vegetable omelet with potatoes O'Brien, toast (they ran out if biscuits). The omelet had tomatoes, onions, and mushrooms...that's it. But in all fairness the combination was tasty. I was expecting more veggies though. My potatoes were deep fried, and was maybe a 1/4 cup of a serving. The toast had a butter flavored oil. My BF ordered eggs over easy and they were very hard. The gravy was the consistency of mushroom soup. The servings were the size served to children. All in all we did not have a good dining experience.

I was really disappointed with the Busy Bee. It says it is a soda fountain and bakery. My father got a piece of pie (only 2 choices total) and it was a very small piece and way overpriced. I got a milkshake (only 3 flavors available) and it was very runny with chunks everywhere. My mother got the sundae and it didn't even look good, the hot fudge was just thrown in on the side of the glass in a big lump--not appetizing at all. We didn't order any food but it did look good when looking around at the other tables. The Busy Bee should change their name! Very misleading!

The Busy Bee describes itself as a "Bakery and Soda Shop," though it is really neither. The "Bakery" refers to a selection of only a few items, like cinnamon rolls, pie, and muffins, and "Soda Shop" evidently refers to root beer floats and shakes/malts in chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla. After a long day in the mountains, working on a 100 year-old cabin, my dad and I tried this place out for dinner on our way back home to Gillette. The mix of art deco and antiquish furnishings made for an eclectic and inviting dining area, and a wall of windows overlooking the creek added nice natural light and a good view. The menu was standard diner fare: tenderloin, burgers, philly cheesesteak, etc. My dad got the reuben; I got the philly cheesesteak sandwich. Both of us agreed that the sandwiches were fine, but not great, the fries that came with my sandwich were so few in number that it seemed almost like a joke, and the side of cole slaw amounted to about 4 Tablespoons and tasted like it came out of a bag. We hoped for better with dessert, and each tried a hot-fudge sundae. Advertised as large, the sundaes were quite small, though that was of little consequence, since they were also average. The ice cream was tasteless and I am pretty sure the hot fudge came out of one of those packets that you heat up in the microwave. Average food is tolerable, but at 31 bucks for the two of us (and I drank water), it was a bit steep. Busy Bee isn't bad, but there are better options in town.

Charming surroundings, small menu of mostly burgers, sandwiches. The ice cream sodas were good but the blueberry pie was meh (crumbly, not flaky crust).

Nice burger and fries. Macaroni and cheese pretty good. A safe choice, much more reasonable price than the hotel next door. We ate here on a quiet Saturday evening in July. $19 including tip for two people. Plenty of on street parking.
