Excellent little place. We go here often. Food good service excellent. Just what a small Japanese place should be. Lunches are a great value. Sushi surprising good for this area.

I have been going to this place almost weekly since they opened. This is the best Sushi anywhere in the area! I used to go to Asian Garden which is also good but this is much better. The fish is fresh and well prepared. There is no better service anywhere. Many nights the owner and his wife will be preparing your food and serving you. They are very nice people and very customer oriented. You can tell from my other reviews how important service is to me. The prices here are also very reasonable. I think the only way they can make money at the prices they charge is they are the employees. I love the Bento Boxes for Lunch. They are tasty and inexpensive. I cannot say enough nice things about this place. It is a wonderful mom and pop place. If you go you will have great service and great food!!!!

Best Sushi in the tri-state area, $3 Rolls & the taste is bar-none. Excellent in house service as well, great environment. Highly Recommend!

This place is a BIG NO, NO! sushi rolls are made with 60% fillers. (like "crunch." ) The service was horrible, the place was dirty, dirty, dirty, STAY AWAY! The food at this place is way over priced as well. I was VERY DISAPPOINTED!

The food was fantastic. I do think they need a door to the kit hen and should fix the hole in the women's bathroom wall.

My wife and I did go all time for sushi or hibachi and it was very good. After the deer incident I can't trust them enough to go back

Yes, I second the first reviewer. Their food is great and they are very pleasant. The food was good every time I went there and was served quickly. In fact, now that I am on the other end of the country, I am missing their food terribly! It tastes very similar to Kobe's in Martinsburg, but is a lot cheaper and you don't have to make small talk with strangers for an hour before you eat. I don't even miss the fire show. I would only change one thing about the restaurant...please turn down the volume of the music. Just a hint of the music in the background would be fine.

We've been going here since shortly after their opening a few years ago and it's always great. Excellent service, small venue so you're not lost in the crowd, fast and always pleasant service. The food is always great, from bento boxes to very fresh made-per-order sushi and sashimi. In our most recent visit the other day, I had the salmon teriyaki bento box with varous tempura items which were nicely and creatively presented. The salmon was absolutely superb and very fresh-- best salmon at a restauarant in at least a decade or more. Everything was ultra-fresh. The seaweed salad is always a huge serving enough for 2-4 and very delicious. The dinner bento box came with rice, miso soup and garden salad included, too. Booze'n'Beer- they have several Japanese beers plus popular US macro-beers as well as a full bar. This is one of our favorite places, locally and will continue to be. The owners (chef and chief hostess-server) are Chinese but sure know how to put out authentic Japanese cuisine. They got some bad press in early 2011 due to an embarassing experiment with deer meat while trying to cater to the curiosities of their wide Asian local clientele and learned quickly from the county health department! Unfortunately this has caused the paranoid crowd to fade away but there is absolutely no reason for worry. In fact, a big thanks to those who make it a lot easier to find seating here!

The food here is very good, as well as the friendly service. Most Japanese restaurants aren't very cheap, and this is no exception, but I think you'll find something here that you'll like. If you're not sure what to try, I recommend the yakisoba, which is mainly egg noodles (without the soup), w/veggies & meat of your choice. It'll fill you up, too. People who don't know what to order in a Japanese restaurant are usually happy with the yakisoba. The sushi we tried was quite fresh and tasty as well. Nice atmosphere, although a bit cramped when full.

This was one of those hole in the wall sushi joints, but let me tell you, $3.50 for a 6-10 piece roll of high quality can't be beat. Our service was amazing and friendly. In fact the quality of the food was so good that we ran up an additional $80 tab.

This place has been shut down multiple times by the health department. Once for processing road kill and getting the road kill hair on uncovered food. Also for not being able to source some of their seafood. Eat at your own risk!! bchealthdept.org/restaur…
