Great bar if you are looking to dance and have a great time. Super fun college age bar. They have really brought in a great crowd of young kids that love to have a great time. If you get the chance be sure to stop in on Wednesday nights for some of the best wings in Waukesha!

Salty toad is a typical college bar. It's fun to go dancing if your shoes don't stick to the floor. I've been here a few times and I've heard many people complaining about their shoes sticking to carpet. But they have good specials, it's cheap, and my friends have a good time. Once the bartender gave me and my husband the wrong drinks so he told us he wouldn't charge us for it and give us two more free ones. He had my card and gave it back to me without a receipt, so I assumed I wasn't charged. Found out two days later we had $32 dollar charge from the bar-on four free drinks. A little shady hmm?

Descriptive phrase: bar for the salt of the earth. I've never had a bad time at the Salty Toad. It's an enigma, located off Main St in Waukesha and featuring a giant open space with seating, a dance floor, a wrap-around bar, and bar games. There's nothing great about this bar, but it serves its purpose so well that you can't help but return. Beer selection is limited but often features 1 or 2 interesting choices. Prices aren't usually great but there's always a special exception. Music genre swings wildly but often hits a fine note. Pool tables are always full but the wait isn't long. The crowd is about as diverse as Waukesha is gonna get but is cool and collected. And it's called the Salty Toad. I don't understand you, Salty Toad, but I will keep coming back.

I would give the Salty Toad a 2.5, but I bumped it up to 3 because of the extremely good drink specials they have. One night they had Long Island Iced Teas for 3 bucks! I also gave it a star because they play some good music and people dance on the weekends. I hate the decor, and the bar attracts some very interesting clientele. To be fair, it isn't downtown Milwaukee or Chicago. I would say the group consists of a lot of older locals (50+) and young people from Carroll College or who never left home. Great place to stop by while home on a visit.

A cool bar run by some really nice people! They always have a good special going on. I ususally go there on Wednesday nights for "Wing Night". $10 gets you 20 wings and a pitcher of beer. You can't beat that! The wings are really good and the "chippers" are amazing. Highly recommended!
