After traveling for over 15 hours to get to Wisconsin, after checking into my hotel, I didn't feel like getting back into the company vehicle to drive around to look for a place to eat. Lucky for me, Perkins was just next door from my hotel, so I took a little hop, skip, & jump into this little restaurant next door. For my peeps from da 808..........what is a Perkins? Well, a Perkins is like a Yum Yum Tree, or Denny's......if you know what I mean............ When you come here, you know what you're gonna get.......not the fanciest of places, but at least you can get something in your belly, then get some rest....... Now don't get me wrong, Perkins is not a small restaurant chain. I think they're all over the US, as I have eaten at a Perkins in Wisconsin, as well in New Jersey. For today's meal, I decided on something light........so I ordered a Grilled Salmon with lemon pepper sauce, and my sides were steamed broccoli & string beans. For dessert, I had a Chocolate silk pie. Overall, an enjoyable meal..........the Salmon was seasoned to perfection & the fish was very fresh. Loved the steamed veggies, as I wanted to stay away from too much starch, that way I would have room for dessert. The high light of my meal was the delicious Chocolate Silk Pie! Ummmmmmmmm! Noms! The pie was very chocolaty and light. I loved the dark chocolate shavings on the light creamy top! Whoa, I feel like going back there again to get another slice of pie (but I better not!). Service was fast & attentive. Lots of free parking in the private parking lot (if you drive here........I walked, as it was just next door from my hotel). Chance 'em gang!

Sometimes we get sick of the standard hotel breakfast. A large group of us headed out and got some REAL breakfast. Our server was great and very attentive to us. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. The only negative is minor. I got my food before the other seven in my party did. For some reason, I got mine WAY before everyone else. I was happy, but I'm sure they weren't ;-)

We ate here for my Graduation Day Breakfast and it was delicious. We had the best waitress ever and made sure to tip well. The pancakes were the best pancakes ever.

Great food. This Perkins have price buster specials that is not available at any other Perkins along with the Perkins regular menu. The service is really good also.

Perkins is one of those places you sort of just wind up at, mostly because you don't want McDonald's and you don't really have a different option. The food is just okay. Service is friendly but just okay. The prices are higher than they need to be. It is amazing to me how a breakfast place can make less than great eggs, but Perkins has a knack for doing so. It isn't just this location, either. I have wound up at Perkins restaurants all over this country and had nearly identical experiences at every one. If my choice was Denny's, Perkins or IHOP, my option would be IHOP, then Perkins, then, if you absolutely must, Denny's.

The food was good. BUT, the staff was awful and rude, we ate next to a vacuum full of dirt, the cook was walking in and out of the kitchen. The staff was vacuuming and mopping the floor while we were eat and staff members were hanging out in booths. Just an awful atmosphere that absolutely ruins the food that you get.
