We typically stop here to and from Milwaukee as it is about halfway from Minneapolis. Food is very average and sometimes certain dishes are a bit old on the buffet. But the price is reasonable and it is a quick stop when traveling through. A good alternative to the fast food places in the area. Last weekend the hot and sour soup was pretty good. Has a nice assortment of ice cream for dessert. Not the typical soft serve, but 4 containers of hard-serve.

I have had way better. We came in on a Sunday evening but still well within operation hours. Yet many things on the buffet buckets were empty, the food was sorta old, the salad bar had lots of things to add to a salad but no lettuce etc. The waitress takes our drink order, brings us our drinks and never returns to ask about refills or anything else. The food was average with the best thing I think being these pieces of grilled pork. Prices were not exactly cheap either. Will probably not make an effort to go here again.

The food was old. The waitress made racial "jokes" which were very insulting to myself and the other soldiers with me. Every time I come to Ft McCoy I make sure to avoid this place. DON'T GO!

9/28/13 My sister and I stopped at the China Buffet for dinner. I can honestly say it is the best Chinese in town. The other option is Peking Palace. The space was previously a Hardee's. It's close to Wal-Mart and the interstate. Drop in the next time your driving past Tomah going north to Eau Claire or some other exotic destination. ;-)

The last 2 times I have been there the service is really poor. I wasn't given a set of silverware and couldn't find anyone. The staff never return to your table to refill your drinks or bring you your bill. That will be my last time there. I will try the other one in town.

I would never come here again or recommend this place. It was not because of the over priced mediocre food, but it was the poor service and very rude (bitchy) waitress. If you do not like your job or unable to be friendly to customers then get a different job. You do not need to take it out on the customers. Little things that I did not care for are no napkins on the table and waitress will not bring any when asked for... do not even bother to ask for a refill, No water, even when asked for it.Table was not clean, waitress threw the bill on the table when asked for it..The waitresses talking bad about customers after they left.
