Very very good Mexican restaurant! I recommend the chicken chimichangas! Also, I didn't behave one... But they offer a 60 oz margarita, which I would totally be all over on a different day. And the salsa IS SO DANG GOOD. Great service, awesome food, great find. I'm really glad I stopped here! :)
Fast service, friendly staff, excellent food and great drinks. All at a very affordable price! We will definitely be back!
Stopped by today on the way home from visiting our grandsons. Very impressed with the food. Flavor awesome, portion size appropriate for lunch, wait staff efficient, and received our lunch quickly. Wish I had 2 stomachs because I want to eat more!! Yummy yummy! We shall return again and again!!

It is rare for me to give a fast-food joint more than three stars but this place did it for me. The LJS/AW combo are found in the Chicago area but they are out in the outlying suburbs. As far as fast food is concerned, these are two of my favorite places. This store was in the right place at the right time. We were coming back from ND and it was high noon and Dave was hungry! I was shocked to not find a soul in this place when we walked in. It was lunch time. The store was immaculately clean (it better be for being so empty), the food was fresh and the service was great. I couldn't ask for more from fast food right off a highway!

Why am I not surprised no one has reviewed this yet... If you are in the Army, you may know of Ft. McCoy. Many, many Soldiers mobilize through this post. It is out in the middle of nowhere. Well, I won't say that, but compared to San Jose, this place is desolate. The taco bell here serves a fruit smoothie, fruitista, and it's quite tastey. It's a little sweet, a little icey and has fresh strawberries on top. Not bad for taco bell! If you are in the military and happen to find yourself TDY (temporary duty) at Ft. McCoy, check out Tomah.

Looooove it here! I've never had anything I disliked. The new remodel is gorgeous, and I love the opportunity to purchase bulk teas, mixed in house. Cannot say enough positive about it!
The food was reasonable priced. I had the chicken and broccoli with fried rice. I went during lunch and the atmosphere was good. My only complaint is that while I was eating one of the server started to vacuum around the table. It was loud and I didn't care for that dust on my food.
Um, well.... I went to this restaurant because of yelp ratings, which I follow faithfully, and I am really shocked at what I have encountered. Maybe I have visited this place on an "off" day? Maybe I am not a fan of bland, dull food? My husband ordered almond chicken, and requested it spicy, it wasn't spicy, no spice at all in fact, bland and boring. I ordered vegetable lo mein, how the heck do you make this taste bad? It was bland and frankly, gross. I keep using that word, but that is the best word to describe these dishes we ordered, tasteless, I had 2 bites of the lo mein and threw the rest away. I am not a picky eater, one of many downfalls. I was very let down and feel like I wasted money on tasteless food, even spicy chili oil and Chinese mustard could not rectify the situation, uffda..... I'm thinking Arby's......

Heavenly! Loved the butter burger, fries and concrete mixer! Yummy! Love you Tracy!
Culver's is probably one of my favorite "fast food" restaurants out there. The burgers are awesome, as well as their fries. Everything seems to be made fresh and never tastes like it's been sitting under a warmer for 2 hours. Also, their Concrete Mixers are to die for! I almost always get one when we stop there to eat! Also, the workers have always been friendly and courteous at any of their locations I've been to, which makes a big difference!
You know you're in Badger country when you start to see Culvers at every exit on the highway. For those who aren't from the Midwest, Culvers is a fast food restaurant that serves burgers. What makes them different from your McDonalds, Burger King, etc? I'm not sure if there's an industry name for it but I would call it a slow quick serve. Everything is absolutely made to order so after you order your food, they give you a number and you have a seat. Once your food is cooked, they'll bring it to your table. One of the best things about Culvers is the fact that everything is incredibly fresh. Your fries come out perfectly crispy, the burger was just assembled and it doesn't look like it got squashed by a 10 lb weight like so many fast food chains. Culvers serves up a pretty mean custard with their signature butterburgers. Yeah, you heard that right, BUTTER -BURGER. Of course if you're a big Paula Dean fan, you'll love these Butterburgers but your heart may not as it clogs full of cholesterol. But hey, life is short, so scarf down that butterburger double with a custard on the side and let your eyes roll to the back of your head as you enjoy that meaty, buttery, salty, delicious goodness. Culvers is definitely on the pricier side for food but for what you're getting, it's worth it. Definitely along the lines of 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. I don't get to go home too often, but Culvers is definitely a place I like to stop at and enjoy that Butterburger.

New Year's eve, delivery, our order got screwed up. Didn't realize it until about 10 minutes after paying&tipping (busy with kids). Called right away, they admitted mistake, would be delivering our order right away. 30 minutes later (no pizza yet) called again to follow up. Had to go through same explanation, this time with manager, who promised to fix situation. Our order was delivered 20 minutes later, free (other than paying for the previous incorrect order). Appreciated the pizza place admitting their mistake and making it right. Pizza was okay - not terrible, not terrific, but reasonable. If in Tomah again and wanted delivery 'za... I'd probably consider ordering from them again instead of a national chain.
Justa Pizza Place has some of the best pizza in town. If I were rating just the pizza, I'd give it 4 stars, not the best, but better than most. However, the dining experience is a different story. 1 star there. It is filthy in there. I've dined in many times and it's always the same. The tables are sticky, the soda machine is gross, the floors are gross, the bathroom. I could go on. Bottom line, no one cleans that place. They just wipe off what's visible and move on. In the summer there are flies everywhere. It makes me wonder how much care they take in cleaning their kitchen. If you like to eat in a clean environment, then take my warning and DO NOT dine in. Just order to go and run. They bake the pizza, so I'm sure whatever is on it is dead.
Great pizza and they have a menu online. They deliver to the Hampton Inn across the street for free! Staff was super helpful and very nice. Would defiantly order from again, especially on those cold nights when you don't want to leave your room!

Been here twice since being here at Ft McCoy. This has to be the best restaurant in this town. The next best is KFC. Yes the restaurants are that bad. You get the amount of food you pay for. The desserts are soooo good and the people are extremely friendly. Haven't had the best of luck with some of these areas but this place, and most of the businesses in this town are, make up for the ones that aren't. Haven't seen it crowded which isn't bad and doesn't speak for the food.
This was a nice little visit. I got the trio of soups which typically comes with wild rice (a creamy blend), chicken spaezel and the soup of the day (it happened to be tomato basil bisque). All of the soups were good and enjoyable. The dish came with crackers covered in a variety of seeds and spices which were lovely, Zesta saltines and an herby bread with butter. The bread didn't have as much flavor as it could have- perhaps the spices used could be fresher as they appeared to be dried spices that were not as flavorful. For dessert we split the triple berry crisp and the Dutch Apple pie- both were terrific and would be worth ordering again. The pies were the highlight in a solid choice.
Great stop on our way from Minneapolis to Milwaukee. A little off the beaten path, but the quick, friendly service and the delicious food made it well worth it! We were initially a little put off by the exterior--looked like a mall--but the inside is homey and my bacon-wrapped pork chop was very good. Also sampled some of the Jäger Schnitzel, which was perhaps a bit pricey but tasty and filling. The attached market was a fun stop, too.

We had: 2 egg oe, hashbrowns raisin toast, 2 egg ham & cheese omelette, sourdough toast, coffee. We also revisited & had the same things (breakfast creatures of habit). The fact that we went back & had the same thing should be enough of a comment that yes, it was good & yes, we will (& did) go back! Courteous & efficient waitresses. Just once had to get up & get some refridge jam. Lots of locals on a Sunday early morn. The taxidermy isn't bad, it is the middle of WI & big time hunting area. More like conversation pieces for the area.
If you are traveling and happen to be in Tomah, DO NOT EAT HERE. My party of 4 didn't expect to be blown away by the food here. We've all eaten plenty of greasy spoon food and hoped for the best. Upon entering, we took a look a the menu and almost got up and left. The menu wasn't really wowing us, and I've never seen so many spelling errors on a menu before! The taxidermy animals everywhere didn't help matters. But we were hungry and decided to stay, and expected mediocre greasy food. The food was just awful. Even by greasy spoon diner standards, this was just garbage. We waited about 25 minutes for our food, even though they weren't that busy, and we ordered pretty simple meals. My Mexican Scrambler was absolutely disgusting. I didn't eat a lot of it, and I'm shocked it didn't make me sick. The menu made no mention of nacho cheese being dumped on top of the scrambler. A LOT of nacho cheese. Blegh. Two of us ordered burgers, which I'm told were pretty terrible. The steak sandwich was also not very good. Everyone was amazed at how terrible the food was. The bathrooms were disgusting. Just nasty. The service wasn't that good. Of the two employees who waited on us, only one was what I would consider decent. As we were approaching Tomah, we joked about stopping at Perkin's, as everyone knows that the food there is pretty bad. The food at Greenwood Cafe was several notches below Perkin's Restaurant. Go there instead.
We were here for breakfast on a Saturday about 11am. My husband had 2 pancakes. They were HUGE and very light and fluffy . He couldn't eat them all. I had eggs hash browns and toast. The eggs were poached and very good. The hash browns were extraordinary good! I asked for extra crispy and they were. I had cinnamon toast. I think it was just white bread toasted with cinnamon sprinkled on top. Very good, my mom used to do that. The decor was very rural. Stuffed wildlife. The table next us had burgers. They looked very good. Would definitely go again.

Very weak. Came in on a Sunday evening (30% full) and sat at the bar. Ordered the ribeye, they were sold out. How do you run out of ribeye? Seriously? The bang bang shrimp appetizer was more like flop flop, and the sirloin tips were disappointing. Culver's would have been better.
EVERYTHING on the menu is frozen. NOTHING fresh. Ordered the club sandwich. Bacon wasn't all the way cooked, they forgot the lettuce, toast was soggy, and went WAY to crazy on the mayo! The fries were cold and stale. Service was OK. Waitress was nice though! The coke tastes good though!! Will never come back again!
Hot Sicilian was good the atmosphere was nice. Homemade potato chips were ok I would get the sandwich again. I would like to try something else again there before I can say if it's great or not.

This KFC did me justice. The people were extremely patient being that the 2 ppl I were with asked questions, changed orders and just took forever lol. First time seeing a buffet style KFC but they were even nice to the ppl that were dinning in. 4 stars only because even though my food was great my fiancé didn't like his. He said it was red in the middle.
Stopped for a quick meal on the road. I was really hankerin' for some fried chicken. I remembered KFC was pretty good the last time I had it... Hubby and I pulled off the road and stopped here. They had a buffet that looked pretty good for about $7.50. We were in a hurry, so we just ordered to go. Hubby had a chicken sandwich. He said it was terrible. I had 3 piece crispy chicken. It was ok. Kinda greasy... but it's KFC so it was expected. I think I've had my fill of KFC for a while now.... :-P
