Went here for my birthday. The food wasn't bad, however the New England Clam Chowder was excellent! I wasn't impressed with what I had because it tasted like something I could have gotten from a freezer microwave meal. My husband really enjoyed his meal though. Would go back tp try something else.

I have always thoroughly enjoyed dining at di Carlos in Oak Creek, so imagine my enjoyment when they opened their meadowbrook location. I have honestly never had a bad dining experience at either location. On my most recent visit we started with the mixed grill appetizer, it was a giant platter of chargrilled calamari, octopus and shrimp accompanied with lemons over a bed of mixed greens, what a great start to the meal! The combination of seafood, lemons and greens was simply superb. For my main entree I ordered off of the specials menu, an eggplant and chicken saltimbocca. How could you go wrong?! The chicken saltimbocca is a dish I regularly order but the addition if thick slices fried eggplant put it over the top. Breaded chicken cutlet covered with prosciutto, mozzarella cheese and smothered in a creamy alfredo sauce. Can you say "yum". Also, a big shoutout to our server Fran, she was amazing!

Service and staff are wonderful, what a fabulous view also. Prices are a great value for the quality and quantity of food received. I was there on a Tuesday evening, the made to order pasta bar looked amazing.

A Last (Year's) Meal. This restaurant wasn't impressive nor was it awful. Nothing happened that was terrible, so I don't know why all of the past reviews to this restaurant were bashing. The most recent reviewer who posted, was also there on New Years Eve when I visited...and my experience was fine unlike the other reviewer whom review seemed to be based solely on lack of water refills. I digress, once parking there are several ways to get to the restaurant, but all of them make it complicated. You can either enter through the "resort" which seemed to be a faux pas, or you can enter in through another door which is labeled but then you follow several hallways to find the restaurant. Once getting to the hostess, she asked if we had a reservation. Thankfully, we did. Upon sitting, we were greeted by our server who was perky and friendly. We were given drinks and our water was constantly refilled. After we placed our order the waitress came over to clarify one of our meals, which was good on her part--if she didn't it would have been a disaster. It turns out all of the menus in the establishment had the pervious evening's specials still listed. A new order was placed because the kitchen was not making said special off the other menu. Starting with the salads, they were good, but again nothing to rave about. Our meals came and they were yummy, but as you guessed it, nothing special. The best part of the night (in terms of food) was by far the cheesecake at the end of the meal. Man, did that hit the spot. The service was good and friendly, courtesy. Several of the other patrons' jackets fell on the floor after setting them on their chairs. Throughout the evening, without fail, whenever a staffer walked by they picked up the fallen jacket and placed it back on their chair...might I add without having that person be disturbed. That was a classic touch. Each person could have left the jacket on the floor, but they did not (and yes this happened at the lack of water table, too). Before coming back to this establishment, I would like to see a few things changed on their menu, but the service was phenomenal. Not to mention (the lack of water table) had a wonderful server (IMO) because she noticed they were looking over the menu and said, "I will be serving these tables soon, if you want to see what you will be paying for." Without fail, the server annouced each meal and Vanna White'd their table so they could see what X looked like. Again, a very classy touch. Clearly, this restaurant needs to reevaluate their servers and the lack of signs. I suggest you try this place and write a review so we can hear your opinion. There are many things about this place I do like, but there isn't anything special that makes it stick out.

Good, but not as good as Oak Creek location, I believe. It's a nice atmosphere, although you have to walk half a mile through long hallways and up and Dow stairs to get there. Next time, I'll go back to Oak Creek.

We went here last night. The table of four had the Seafood Arrabiata, Seafood Cannelloni, Seafood Alfredo and the Salmon de Mare. All were excellent. The garlic bread was a sausage bun cut into pieces so they could improve on that. The soup (both the Minestrone and the Italian meatball) were ok. The Minestrone needed something to spark it a bit. So, if you go there go for the entrees and you won;t be disappointed.

Edit: My review wasn't based just on the water, it's just the food was so average that I had nothing good to say about it. And the room everyone was being served in was cramped. I'm glad you had good service but my whole table had agreed it was the last time we reserve anything here.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
