Please get rid of the curbs in the drive thru! Please! Especially the chunk after the window that sticks out. Good food.

We drove past and saw the name and expected a diner experience. However, the food was more of a fast food restaurant. The place looked dirty. My husband ordered the double cheeseburger which looked like a tiny burger from your typical fast food restaurant. Appeared to be frozen beef patties as well because he was not asked how he wanted the burger done (well, medium, rare). I ordered the chicago style hotdog and the pickle was one of those rubbery yellow dill pickles that dont need refrigeratioon and have no crunch. We were pretty dissappointed and felt for the quality, the food was over priced.

Can I tell you how much I love this place!!?? They have delish burgers and chicken. Their custard is the best I have ever had-not to mention they make their waffle cones right there, also to die for! I come down here from the falls at least once a month- now I have my husband and kids hooked on their food and custard too-good thing it is far away from me or I would be as big as a house from eating there all the time!!

On a recent visit, I got my usual snickers in a waffle cone and my niece got a cup of oreo custard. As we were walking, talking, and enjoying our cream, she exclaimed, "Ewe! I don't like this cookies and cream! It has like whole oreos in here!" At first I twisted my face and prepared to ridicule her for disliking the best part!! Then, I fixed my face and comforted her by saying, "It's okay honey. Just place your whole, custard covered, oreo cookies on top of my snickers custard. Auntee Brandi will take care of it for you. You just eat the little ones." SUCKER!!!!!!!! What a treat I had that day.

This is a Racine classic, and was one of my favorites when I was a kid. Nowadays, I still really like it, but there's a handful of things that they need to fix. Top 5 fried chicken in Racine. Maybe my 3rd fave, I dunno, that's a tough one. Solid burgers, not my fave, but good enough. I often get two chicken legs, a regular cheeseburger (they have all kinds of doubles, and jumbo etc), a chocolate shake, and a gastric bypass! You feel like @$$ for the rest of the day, but... Ok. Sorry for the rest of this but, y'all need to call Robert Irvine. The decor has needed an update forever. It's crazy dark in there, except in the blinding, front "garden room", I-dunno-what. The drive thru (a clear afterthought) needs desperate widening, and is currently only cleared for a two-door Speck. The system by which this place runs is ridiculous. The drive-up drains off the regular staff, which is always understaffed. The older couple that runs it probably has a classic case of "can't see past the end of their noses", and don't wanna switch horses mid-stream. But they need to. At least 1 staff member is on break during the lunch push - every time !!! They're always yelling back to the guy "you gotta nuff for 2 legs& a breast?"... It's what you do!!! Have enough. Period. Because of a lot of these gaps, if you catch the wrong day, you'll blow 1/2 your lunch break waiting. Good thing I love chicken & chocolate, or else I'd go down the street, to the best Mexican restaurant in Racine, so...

My fiancé and I had an ice cream craving while visiting his family in Racine, and decided to stop here. Long story short, they screwed up my order, and after asking to correct it by remaking it, or refunding it, they said 'no' to both. I didn't think there were companies operating in 2014 without customer service, but I guess you get what you pay for. Just a couple weeks ago we dined at RPM in Chicago and once they realized my steak wasn't prepared as I requested, they offered to remake it and took it off our bill. I realize this place needs every penny to stay in business-the rumors of food poisoning doesn't help one bit...but its ok, we stopped at Dairy Queen right down the street and threw your garbage sundae in the trash. To the manager that was defiant about not refunding my money for some stupid ice-cream sundae-please exercise some class, and take some lessons on customer service, nowadays you don't have to go to college and pay tuition to learn about it.

I really wanted to like this place, as it seems to be a family owned and run operation. We came in for lunch around 12:30 and there were 2 other people in the place. Never a good sign. It seemed a bit dirty and looked like it hasn't been redecorated since the 80's. Maybe they're holding out for that style to come back around, but ripped seat cushions were never hip, AFAIK. Counter help was pleasant, even pointing out a BOGO offer for double cheeseburgers. Thanks, but I probably shouldn't even be eating ONE, let alone two. We ordered the dbl cheese, a Philly, fries and a soda and the order took 12 minutes to be prepared. TWELVE minutes. That seems a bit excessive. Fries were warm and undersalted and the cheeseburger was bland with minimal toppings. The Philly tasted ok, but cheap, and it wasn't. We also noticed a family of small flies buzzing around one of the light fixtures in the dining room. In the time we were there, we witnessed two people come in to pick up their phone orders and neither one was ready. People say the ice cream/custard is good here, and if I ever come back (unlikely), that's the only thing I'm getting.

On one of our EZ reunion weekends this past spring we stopped by after picking up Molly's kringle order for the town of Mascoutah from O&H. We took advantage of the two for one double cheeseburgers which were, if I can remember correctly, tasty. We had some fries to go along with and Molly had a grilled cheese which she didn't complain about. Not sure what Doug had, but I think we had some kind of custard. I like the story about them being the lone "Red Barn" standing. Sad the others closed, but happy they were able to keep going! If the mood is right and I can't make my mind up about where to go next time I am wondering Racine, I may be paying them a visit, if not at least for some custard.

Best frozen custard bar none. Better than Kopp's, Leon's, and Culver's. Their burgers and fries aren't bad either, although it's probably between fast food and casual dining in terms of quality. The building is nothing fancy but it's clean.

Stopped in last night to pick up a chicken dinner. Usually very good, but this time tasted like it had been sitting all day. Not very hot and was dry and chewy. Been going here for probably 20+ years. Usually very good which is why I keep them as high as 3 stars.
