Terrible!! I'll never go back!! Food was burned, flavorless, and took forever! Dirty restaurant, giant trays of chicken that were deep fried with no cover, worker was sweeping past it.. Super gross!

Love main moon! Best Chinese food I ever had! I've lived in racine for 10 years and this is by far the best Chinese in town. Service can be a little slow. We learned to go 5 min later than they gave us. They used to not speak English very well on the phone but that has changed. They hired a high school kid to answer phones now - WAY easier to order! Love main moon!

Friendly staff, nice place, tasty food. I enjoyed the pork egg roll and Mei Fun noodles. Also had a cup of egg drop soup, fairly good. The bus boy was working like a dog, serving, cleaning and talking to the patrons, nice guy. Food was pretty good, will be going back soon!

Used to be my go to until today. Called and order to go lunch special substitute tofu instead of chicken, she tells me he total is $7 something. Get there to pick up, guy working says it'll be over $15. I told him that was incorrect, he somewhat argues with me saying what I ordered isn't even an option for a lunch special (I ordered the same thing last week with no issues). Brings the owner out who also somewhat argues with me, while the precious cashier says something along the lines of "well he's the owner so...". Eventually they make my original order an charge the original price. Honestly I'm still mad about it. Your employees messed up, don't blame it on the customer. Food is decent for this area but will be taking my business elsewhere after this incident

I stopped by here because I was on a business trip with Chinese partners who HAD to have some white rice. Just HAD to no matter what. Even if the restaurant was clearly not what they know as real Chinese food. I walked in with ROCK BOTTOM expectations. These types of joints typically are high grease, high salt, high MSG, high corn starch. AKA nasty. The boss was excited to see 5 Chinese people walk through the door (a rarity in Racine I'm betting). She tried her best to twist the clearly Americanized dishes into something more Chinese-esque. While she failed on that front, we did successfully request low grease, low salt, low MSG, which is a HUGE accomplishment. Kudos to the restaurant for following those instructions. It's not somewhere I'd go to if I had a choice, but when I'm on business in Racine, I know this is a place I can at least go to, give some instructions on how I want my food prepared, and get something that fills the stomach and lets me do my job the next day with aplomb.

Eh. Service is slow and the food is kinda bland. Wouldn't recommend this place. For good Chinese food, I go to Main Moon on Erie St.

Not bad, but not great. The food could have more flavor, and the crab Rangoon could use some crab, lol. But if your looking for a Chinese fix, it'll do.

Not good - greasy and tasteless. I can't even eat it as it gives me almost and instant stomachache. To be fair, a friend of mine said she had a white sauce dish recently that was not as bad for grease but I still wouldn't eat there.

Friendly and busy, Main Moon may not be top of the list for atmosphere, but the food is good & consistant. Better than average food.

if you're nearby and just looking for a quick Chinese fix, Main Moon can fill that void. You can order at the counter, then take a seat at a table where your food will be brought to you. The dining atmosphere is all florescent light and fast food bustle, nothing relaxing or exotic, so we prefer to carry out. Read my full blog entry here: blog.MarkCz.com/main-moo…

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
