I've been a big fan of this place for years. Recently while eating there my fiance and I had to go up to the counter and ask for boxes and the check. We were the only people in the restaurant so this was completely unacceptable that we were completely ignored for around 35-40 minutes after our food was dropped off. When the waitress dropped off our dinners both of us could have used refills on our soda too. I would give this place 1 star for that terrible service, but they get 2 for good carry out food and past experiences.

I teach at UW-Oshkosh and I eat at Jade Dragon once or twice a week. The owner is very nice and the food is good. The best thing about Jade Dragon is the "Authentic" page on the menu. These are Chinese dishes that are more traditional, as you would find in China. Skip the General Tso chicken and get one of these dishes. There is also a green beans and potato dish as well as an egg and tomato dish that are awesome. I don't even know if they are on the menu, but ask for them! Update- The Jade Dragon was sold over the summer in 2014. I can no longer get some of my favorite dishes and the old chef is no longer working there. It isn't bad, but not one of my favorites anymore. I only went a few times during the fall semester.

It's delivery!!!! It would help a lot if you actually sent a fork, spoon, napkins? Maybe some chopsticks?!? Especially when your delivering to a hotel. Hire someone with a few more brain cells.

Decent Chinese food. Being spoiled from different cities and Chinese in other places makes me pretty picky but I have to say, Jade Dragon does serve my Chinese craving justice. I was disappointed that they didn't even have Sriracha sauce, as I love extremely spicy anything. They were nice enough to make my extremely picky daughter the non-traditional chicken nuggets and french fries. Interesting experience but I will be back.

I was expecting much better. The shrimp was cold, the "fried rice" was not fried rice, I'm not even sure how to describe it. The Beef tasted like pork. Not sure if the cook everything in the same pan or not. We will not be back.

Best place ever. I look forward to coming here each time I come home. The people, the food, and the service are simply the best. I get jealous every time one of my friends says they are having Jade Dragon!

I was greeted with a smile at the door. As a vegetarian jade dragon had some great options. The family owned restaurant was clean. The diverse menu offers great selection to diners. Jade dragon could be better, the quality of food was not the best. The food came out HOT so i wasnt afraid to eat it. Given Oshkosh, this is a solid option.

We walked in and were greeted with a smile. The man told us we could sit anywhere that we'd like (which is huge for me because I don't like being corralled). The setting was low key and comfortable! The food, ahhh, where do I begin...The vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked (not sloppy mush). Everything was seasoned perfectly and not too salty or slimy. The soup was light and refreshing. The crab rangoon (AMAZING!) were golden flaky bits of crispy goodness...not too greasy and the dipping sauce was unnecessary but tasted so great! Service from start to finish was top notch. They over heard that it was my friend's birthday and brought him a sweet treat at the end of our meal. We all enjoyed it very much. Great food at a great price and the outstanding service was a bonus! I definitely recommend trying Jade Dragon!

SHRIMP LO MEIN --not flavorful like places in metro areas --but there's no pretense to be gourmet --so this ain't bad --it's definitely serviceable comfort food --certainly not salty--nor sizzling-exciting --aimed less at UW med students --but more for Oshkosh locals without exposure to PF Chang's--or even Panda --it serves its purpose --& the food?--small but ample shrimp &adequate textures ARCHITECTURE --not Chinatown hole-in-the-wall --but old-school ornate/tacky in small old town --with compact/social red wooden booths--as it should have CONCLUSION --will I go back? --yes--it stokes 1960s memories of non-Chinatown joints --that delivered value for families--Chinese & not

The food was good. While it isn't anywhere near the best Chinese I have ever had, it is the best I have had in Oshkosh.

This restaurant is aimed towards college students. It's cheap (student meals are less than $6) a cozy place and very friendly. Good portions of food and if you expect upscale restaurant service for $6, go somewhere else

This restaurant must be new: it wasn't here last year, and I can't find the address for it anywhere online. Someone must have forgotten that this past weekend would bring university administrators from across the country to Oshkosh for a weekend of staff recruiting. They were very understaffed given the number of people who were prepared to eat lunch here. We were a group of 6, and managed to take the last two available tables in the place. This restaurant is very small, and seemed to have quite a bit of business. The lunch specials were inexpensively priced, and you get a lot for the price. But, the food wasn't that great. Our server repeatedly forgot what we had ordered, brought us the wrong dishes, brought them in the wrong order, and had to be asked for silverware. The crab rangoons were so greasy that the bottom of the serving bowl was coated in grease. The General Tso chicken (which was listed in red, thus supposedly spicy) was not spicy at all. I must admit that I will not be visiting this restaurant on future trips to Oshkosh. I'd rather eat a sandwich or pizza from the places next door.

Terrible. And, by far, the saltiest meal in town.... Yuk.

Very cheap for lunch but food is usually very salty and of lower quality.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
