It was just... okay. I'd equate it to an Applebee's or Chili's in terms of the atmosphere. I ordered the blackened sirloin. While it was definitely tender, I would not have called it blackened in any form or fashion. Service was decent -- however, the beer lists posted on the tables were out of date and had not been changed out. Probably wouldn't come back, especially with the other options available.

Go to Applebee's instead. Marginal food, marginal service. Dining options are limited in this little hamlet but I'm sure there's something better out there.

Ordered the bear creek pasta. The chicken looked and had all of the components of a chicken leg. Service was fine but the quality was poor.

They have a huge menu and their food is prepared very well. The waitstaff was very attentive. The food was of a higher quality than that of a Chili's but the recipes were just a little off. They are very close to being awesome. Will I be back? Yep!!! It's good and good service.

The atmosphere was nice, the place is clean and comfy and smells like wood smoke, but the music was loud and terrible. The food was fine, but not great, the mac and cheese was really good, but the soda was over $2 for a glass of fountain Pepsi.

Sean did great. The food was amazing and cooked fresh. Stop in here and have a great time. By the way try the turtle cheesecake. Amazing

Their menu has a wide variety, there's something for just about everyone on the menu. Food is consistent, always good, not always great, but at least solid. Their cheese curds are excellent, and bonus because of the popcorn and peanuts.

Mismanaged. We're told we would have a 45 minute wait yet there was always at least 7 tables empty and not being filled. We're told they were too busy in the back to fill the tables. Must be short staffed or can't keep staff. I have never seen anything like this before. We finally got frustrated waiting and left.

We had a group of 12 with two 4 year olds and one infant. There were 5 different checks between the whole table... You would think this is the recipe for a disaster except it was anything but that! Our server (Whose name I never got) was AMAZING. She handled our group with ease and only required assistance when bringing our food out, all at the same time. Our water cups remained full and our drinks were on time. When it came time to pay there were no mistakes on any bill, she really made a potentially stressful dinner a very pleasant experience! How about the food... It was great, being a wood fire grill that specializes in rotisserie chicken that was the most common choice at the table. No disappointments from anyone that ordered it. I had a half rack of ribs with my quarter chicken and they were equally delicious. The spotted cow beer was a nice compliment as well. I Would come back!

This place was the s**t! The food was great, service was AMAZING! My glass was never empty and they checked on us regularly, but not too many times that it became annoying like other places. Had TV to watch all the games and etc. the food was SPECTACULAR so good and cooked to the way we liked it... And if you go for dinner you get free bread. It wasn't over priced and you'll definitely get your money's worth with this place. Two thumbs up!

We had a group of 5 eat lunch here recently. Overall the food seemed real good to all of us. The menu is big, lots of good stuff on it. The fried cheese curds were great but were surely a cholesterol bomb. The burgers we real good also although I wished they could have cooked them better than medium well. Must be a city ordinance I guess. The bar seemed to have lots of good beer on tap and the bloody mary special we had was fantastic and loaded with olives, cheese and peperoni. It was overall bar food but it was as good or better than average.

Rawr!! ::paws:: I ask you. What the hell else is there to do in nowhereseville Wisconsin except find places to eat you've never heard of anywhere near the city? So this is what I did. Grizzly's was actually my last restaurant outing while I was passing through but it was a memorable one. Beer Battered Onion Rings = Full before your meal. If you're munching and maybe drinking a beer or so this is an awesome thing to order, if you're planning on getting a heavy dinner or even trying to hang in there until dessert, avoid!! The other tasty appetizer is their chili, they call it a "beer can chili" and they DO add a little bit of beer in there for extra flavor. On that chili they also have cheese and sour cream. Maybe I don't eat enough chili but I've never had chili with sour cream in my LIFE and it was sooo good. Their sirloin tips were PRETTY good but a little too chewy in some bites and a little too tough on others, however they had great flavor and were smothered with mushrooms peppers and I believe onions as well...which is always SO good with dark meats. And as far as meats go, this isn't the greatest place for a vegetarian. Not many options, more for meat, and hardly even chicken, mostly a lot of beef and ribs. For dessert, I highly recommend the apple walnut cake (cream cheese frosting...mmm) It's a pretty generous portion too, I would recommend splitting any of their desserts with someone else unless you're basking in your own gluttony.

We've been in Onalaska all week and decided to try this place. Sat at the bar and they had a special on Long Island Tea and other versions. I asked the bartender about a couple of them and he looked at me with this lost expression. He had no clue about the other versions ingredients. I ended up with a regular Long Island, which was premixed. It was good but would've liked to know what the others were. Then he takes our order. Not a big fan of a wait person not writing my order down. By the third go around with our order, he may have gotten it. Appetizer comes out fast but my friends soup never got there until the meal. Had a burger which was ok, not great. We watched the bartender attempt to handle other patrons and he was very forgetful and had to ask several times to verify the orders. One gentlemen from Milwaukee finally had to asked him if his salad comes out first? Oh yeah, it does. He goes to get it, sets it down and asks what kind of dressing did he ask for? Goes to get that and sets it down and walks away. Poor guy is sitting there with no utensils while the bartender jokes around with other wait staff. Customers says "excuse me, can I get some silverware."? Oh, sure. Goes to get a setting and has none in his bucket behind the bar. He proceeds to blame the "minions" as he called the hostesses. I pretty sure he is in charge behind the bar. Most places don't allow wait staff behind the bar. Brings the setting and the customer asks for another beer. He turned around and saw a waitress walking up to the service area and talks with her and gets her a drink for her table. He totally forgets about his customer. By this time we a laughing, including the customer. Bartender turns around and looks at us like he missed a good joke. The customer asks him if he forgot something and he says no,not that I know of. Again we laugh uncontrollably. The guys says my beer? Oh yeah, your beer. What a moron, doesn't know how to tend bar or know what the drinks specials are. Food was good and the atmosphere was good, just get that idiot out from the bar and let him fold napkins. I'd come back just not at the bar.

I have eaten at Grizzly's many times over the years. They have an affordable menu and their selection is pretty much the standard fare. If you want plain and simple, Grizzly's will probably fit the bill. My main issues with this restaurant are: - Every time I have been there in the last two years, I could smell smoke in the restaurant from people at the bar area smoking. If you don't mind smoking in your restaurant choices, this is not an issue. - The food and drinks have been very inconsistent for me. One meal will be fine, the next will be questionable at best. Consistency is what separates an OK restaurant from a good one.
