Wonderful dinner! Saturday night ribs, pan-fried catfish, cheese curds and even chicken fingers were great. Nice beer and bar selection. Service was wonderful and personable. It's busy (a tad noisy) but not overwhelming. We'll be back.
A standard bar/restaurant menu but done with good ingredients. Among my group we ordered two perch dinners, the taco pizza, and the catfish sandwich. Clean plates all around! Sat out on the patio and played giant jenga. Nice way to end a day after a lackluster fishing trip on Lake Onalaska.
Red Pines went from a four + star down to a two star at best with the change in owners. The ribs were one of their signature items our now horrible. Even the beer battered chicken tenders which are normally really good were soggy and not edible. I was going advise the waitress since we couldn't eat the food but she never came back. So, after 40 minutes I had to flag her down to pay the bill and just left. I later called to speak to a manager only to find out they were under new owners. He assured me the food stayed the same and I assure you it hasn't.

My second time eating cheese curds while in the La Crosse area for work with a colleague. Very yummy. I also love the decor and the lake view.
I give one star because I was not able to get a hold of them. This number has been disconnected and no one was able to connect me to this restaurant because no new number was provided. I really wanted to try this restaurant but unfortunately we did not make the drive to check if it was even open any more. Maybe this restaurant has closed? If so please update!!
We popped in after 9pm to dine and were greeted by a friendly hostess that seated us right away. We were a little concerned as we noticed they stopped serving at 10. Not once did we feel rushed or unattended by our server, Danielle. She was awesome! The food was amazing and the atmosphere was romantic. Make sure to save room for dessert! We will certainly add this pace to our small list of favorite places!!

I live quite some distance away (about 170 miles) but love this pizza and have it when I'm in town. The other day I had some kind of a slice of a combo which, of course, was on a huge slab of doughy bread. Normally, I would worry about carbs but it was a rough day. I had busted my glasses and had to drive 60 miles to get a pair at the mall. With a vision induced migraine, comfort food was needed. This stuff fit the bill while waiting for new spectacles. The salad bar was okay - nothing overly fancy - but one slice of pizza and a salad made for a good meal. It turned a crabby mood into smiles. It's funny how pizza will do that to you. We don't have any more Rocky Rococco Pizza locations in Iowa (as far as I know). What a crying shame. That makes the stuff from here even more of a treat. Just don't check your blood sugar afterwards for about... say... six hours... :)

Caribou Coffee

Reviews:
I love Starbucks, but when I travel up to Wisconsin, I make a point to drink only Caribou. I love their coffee and I really love the staff! It's always a welcoming environment and not as up tight as Starbucks. This location has an awesome fireplace that I got to enjoy as I drank my coffee and patiently waited for my internet to load on my phone...their WiFi could use some help...other than that...I LOVE LOVE LOVE Caribou and wish we had one in Texas!
It takes a lot for me to write a review of a chain coffee shop. But the Onalaska Caribou is an exception. The baristas go way above and beyond in terms of service. They are friendly and bring a personal touch. The cold press coffee and the Mint Condition are my faves.
Full disclosure, I am not so much of a coffee girl. That is, unless that coffee is blended with ice and chocolate, then it instantly becomes my jam. So when I first saw Caribou's "Campfire Mocha" Cooler a few years ago, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Seriously. Coffee, chocolate, and mini-marshmallows. Whenever we visit a Caribou region, I practically leap out of the moving car. The iced teas here are not my favorite, but I'll let it pass. Also of note, the people at this particular shop are VERY nice. Love seeing those friendly faces.

Marco’s Pizza

Reviews:
Pizza is wonderful and always arrives ahead of promised time! They have good specials and coupons that come in the mail. We have never rented one, but you can get a movie delivered too.
I ordered 2 pizzas and BBQ wings. The pizza was good but nothing special. We ordered the special of 2 medium 2 topping pizzas for $16.99, what I would expect to pay at any chain place for the same. Had I not known they were from Marco's I wouldn't have been able to tell where they were from (any other chain location that is) the wings on the other hand were awful. They were very fatty with little meat. They weren't crispy as I would expect wings to be. Honestly we threw them away without finishing them. Disappointed and don't think this will be our go to place again.
I absolutely LOVE their pizza! I especially love their crust toppings that they have as well! It is a little on the more expensive side for pizza, but totally worth the money!

Horrible experience. We were sitted, ignored and 20 minutes later I had to flag a waitress to take our ordered. Nine of our salad or soup came in time. The waitress forgot about them actually and I got on my phone to check their menu side dishes. They owed us an soup and salad!!! The waitress then apologized and got them out for us...after our main course came and we were already eating it. Please note, we waited for more than an hour before our food came while the other customers who cane after us they amazingly got their appetizers right away. It was really frustrating. Beware, they charge 18% gratuity so there is no way of escaping crappy service. It sure felt like the American customers got good service while we Asians sat and waited...didn't get out side dishes until the end. I also observe other Asian customers wasting for awhile but the American customers kept getting waited on!!! It really was horrible. I'm truly disappointed. They will only get my money this first and last time.
I always get the same things here, so I can't really comment on the whole menu. We always order Miso soup, Volcano Roll, and Dragon Roll with extra Wasabi, sometimes Hibachi. They are always willing to change ingredients in the rolls which is awesome, as some places will not so this for customers. The food and service is constantly the same which is a good level. I have had much better Japanese living out in Las Vegas, but for a place in Onalaska it's good. Plus the take out option is wonderful as well.
We ordered a meal of California roll, spicy California roll and tempura roll - it came with soup & salad. Service was prompt - multiple servers refilled drinks, cleared dishes, etcetera. Good food & service - clean tables/floors. We will be back!

I had broiled shrimp seasoned and it was excellent. The service was good. I recommend this place.
The best place in the area for breakfast hands down, I love the biscuits and gravy, and the prime rib hash. My family really loves the pancakes too. The prices are very good and you get a lot of food. I will say that the service can be slow at times, otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
Upon arriving, we figured out how to get into the place, and sat down. As posted by others, it took a while for a server to actually get to us. I was very pleased to see that the salad bar had more than just a sorted bunch of condiments. I ordered a cheese burger and fries with a one trip salad bar. The waitress misunderstood, and substituted the salad bar for the fries. Although the contents of the salad bar looked pretty good, they were mediocre. The burger was pretty delicious. I can't speak of the fries, since I never got them. Overall it was not a pleasant, memorable experience. I will not be going out of my way to come back here.

This place was a nice surprise. The food is fresh (they say they use local produce when they can), the space is airy and clean, and everyone working there is incredibly nice. I also love that you get to give input every step of the way--like, "Which salsas do you want? Is this enough cheese?" We all ordered burritos, and we were all very happy. Yum.
Horrible burritos, dry tasteless chicken, undercooked rice. Very disappointed in this place. I expected something like Chipotle, but it doesn't even come close.
Nice healthy fast food

Surprised by such a nice find on our way to Wisconsin Dells. They did a great job decorating the place. Wish they were closer to home, I would frequent the place quite often. My wife complained about slow service, but we sat at the bar and not the restaurant part and frankly I was in no hurry. The food was was made with quality ingredients, I can tell when they use the cheep stuff to make Mexican food. They also took great pride in keeping the place clean. I'm not sure the locals appreciate what they have as it was not very busy. A place like that in MSP south burbs would just kill it.
I work a lot in the Lacrosse area and Mannys is a go to for good seafood. The Salmon and Swordfish are always a good choice. The service is good, although it seems to get slow once in a while for no reason. The interior is nice and always clean. My only drawback for the place is the higher prices. For freshly delivered fish you can expect to pay a premium.
The Margaritas are good. The ceviche is not proper. They used precooked seafood instead of the lime/lemon "cook" the meat. The main course was okay but not memorable. I had the swordfish. All in all this restaurant is okay but I would not go out of my way to eat here. The staff was friendly and attentive but the food was not top class.
