I should give this place a 1 star because they have gotten me totally addicted to fro-yo, but I digress. I have little cousins in town from Chicago and we have literally gone here almost every night for the past week and a half. We are obsessed! Love the kid-friendly atmosphere and the samples! The staff is incredibly friendly and courteous, which is the complete opposite of a lot of places like this staffed with teens and college kids. They are friendly and don't judge us when the kids, and myself, try like 3 samples before we buy! Also, I really like that they charge you by the weight and not just the size. Great value!

The flavors are always changing which keeps me trying new and different options. Love how they let you sample flavors before you make a final decision. Many toppings from nuts, fruit, candy, and sauces. The facilities are kept clean and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is the space. The Wauwatosa location has a much better patio and larger indoor seating area if you are going with a group of friends.

The yogurt is great. Plenty of toppings to fulfill anyone's cravings. We really like making a stop in for dessert after a meal in the area, in a friendly walk able neighborhood. Parking can be a slight challenge as the area can be very busy.

Locally owned, well-managed, fun place. Yes, they have hot fudge.

One of the best froyo places around!! I love the flavors-they seem to have more exotic and fun flavors that I haven't seen at other local places. A few of my favorites have been Sweet Coconut, and I believe it's either Marshmallow or S'mores. My only complaint is the hour in which they open is weird in my opinion...2 pm on weekdays?! I recently tried to go out to froyo after lunch with a friend, but we found it to closed.

Friends, Yo Mama is pretty great. This location is usually pretty busy especially in the warmer weather and I can definitely see why- they have a good a variety of fro yo flavors and some pretty delicious toppings to choose from. They have mochi- my absolute favorite fro yo topping! Now let's talk set up- the wall on the right is lined with fro yo dispensers. This would be great except for the fact that right across from the dispensers is where you go to get your toppings of a nut and cereal variety. It's a pretty tight space, so be prepared to do some maneuvering. Despite this tight aisle, you figure it out all the way to the cash register. They have a weight of the day and if you happen to have the weight you get your yogurt for free! I have yet to see anyone get the weight of the day, but maybe you'll be that lucky one!

Who doesn't love froyo. Yo Mama has a nice selection of frozen yogurt, single choices or swirled. You can also add a divider to your cup and get two flavor a in one cup. The toppings at pretty good, I think they could have a few more choices, but not bad. The seating is ok. If it gets crowed the seating can get skimpy. The have a section of tables and chairs for children, which is nice, except when the place is full of adults. Overall a very nice place for a tasty treat!

I've been here twice this week and I love it. Everything is kept clean and neat. The staff is friendly and offers yummy samples. The milk-oreo and salted caramel are so good! I love that they change out the flavors so often and keep a variety of toppings. Definitely a nice place to stop a on hot day like today!

Lots of yogurt flavor choices, chocolate, vanilla, fruity standards, and specialities like turtle and cake batter. Skimpy on the toping options, unless you're quite unlike me and enjoy cereal or jaw breakers on your frozen yogurt. Their graham cracker flavor is shockingly good. I was disappointed that they didn't have no-artificial sweetener low sugar options. Their "no sugar added" vanilla tastes like a packet of sweet n low. Finally, there's something off about the interior seating. Several awkwardly sized mini tables and just a sterile not-warm feeling. Which was chilling in the middle of winter. When we went in summer, it was so cold inside I thought my fingers would break off.

Ok, so I really love froyo, so I have many feelings and expectations for all for yo places. I would say that yo mama is a very solid froyo establishment but I wouldn't necessarily call it the best in the city. I appreciate that you get to taste before making a commitment because the final decision is the hardest part of the journey for me. I usually love cake batter but I'm not a fan of their recipe which just means I lean on their chocolate a little more. I got the triple chocolate which was pretty solid. Very creamy and tasty. Topped it off with fruit and some candy pieces. They have lots of different choices from candy, fruit, sauces and cereals. The environment is relaxed and has tons of space inside so if you go in a large group, I imagine it would accommodate you.

I love Yo Mama! They offer a great selection of flavors that you can mix on your own, or swirl pre-paired flavors. Flavors change daily, but they always offer original tart, some sort of chocolate, some vanilla, and some non-dairy sorbet options. Toppings are varied as well, with cereals, fruits, candy pieces, brownies and cookie dough, sprinkles, mochi, and more! You pay per ounce, and denser toppings can add up quickly, but it's so worth it for a river of hot fudge or caramel on your concoction. They are also really fun to follow on social media! Seriously!

They were out of every fruit except for some sketchy looking pineapple. The jelly bean spout gave me 3/4 coffee flavored beans. The candy bits I got were super, super stale. Good choices of yogurt flavors and a clever name, but next time I'm going somewhere else.

I was here for a birthday treat in leiu of a cake. I LOVE Coconut anything so I was happy to see a Coconut flavor FroYo. It was delish. My only complaint is that it gets really crowded when there is anyone else there since one teenager can really SLOW things down. Get your toppings and move it to the register! I gots yogurt to eat! Also: The spoons seem like a lot of wasted plastic to me but that's the environmentalist in me talking. I took mine home to reuse.

This could be the beginning of a dangerous relationship. The younger teen in the family raved about this place and brought us here after dinner. I remember TCBY as a kid, which disappeared and now they are coming back along with many other frozen treat places. Ambiance: Despite the tile, this place still had a cozy warm feel with a variety of seating options. There were probably 6 groups of folks enjoying their treats. It was happy mood indeed. Nice interior, clean, fun and included a magnetic wall for drawings. My teens and their friends were making the most of the magnets in the shape of faces and twists of soft serve that looked a bit turd-like. My only complaint is the entrance blasts cold air into the dining room, some kind of transition with doors or door heater would help. Summer might be the same with heat. Food: When you enter there is a self service isle - one side a tile wall with 5 sets of soft serve flavors including no sugar added or low fat and each set could be made into a twist. Flavors included, raspberry, coconut, chocolate, vanilla, carrot cake, cake batter, dulse de leche and several more. Then on the other side is a row of tubes filled with gummy this, malted that, candy coated thingies, cereals and so many more. At the end of the row was a set of jimmies and a bar of fruit, sauces, and so many more. For those who need ingredients they are posted on the wall and i discovered you can get that and nutritional info on the website as well. I went for a simple chocolate coconut twist with hot fudge. You can sample the flavor which would be a good way to test the speed the soft serve comes out. I ended up with more than I needed or should have spend the money on. note - you can use their FB page to get the flavors of the day - which is different per location. Cost: a bit spendy but we were new to the process and would put less in the cup next time. 3 small with two of them having a crapload of stuff on top came to $13+ buckaroos. That is a lot of cash but it was kind of fun too and we enjoyed ourselves. We will go back - and I am sure during the summer this place will be PACKED!! It will make for a nice walk around town, to yo mama and back home as the weather improves.

Yo Mama never disappoints. I love taking my 2 and 4 year old here. They love building their own treat which is usually made up of about 3% fro-yo and 97% gummy bears. They have a big sitting area in the front of the shop with cute little kid tables. The workers are very friendly and helpful. They have sample cups so you can taste test the different flavors. They usually have a few different ones each time we go so we like to taste test them. I can take my family of four here for around $10! A steal!

Yo Mama! has got a good thing going here. Nice space in a great location on Oakland Ave, clean, comfy seating. The flavors are great and tend to complement one another well for fans of mixing; the toppings also look fresh and well-maintained. Two thumbs up.

It's a great place to get froyo especially since it's right across from Colectivo/Alterra so you can always grab coffee or bakery items afterwards. It's a pay by weight system so if you're a person who loves toppings & less froyo, this will be your paradise. I'm glad that there is a place for cold dessert treats on this side of Shorewood after the Baskin Robbins closed down.

There's plenty of machines with all different kinds of flavors. That's what makes Yo Mama so good the variety and delicious combos one can make. The Shorewood location seems slightly smaller than the others.

Yo Mama is my favourite froyo shop. I love the selection, the flavours and the price is just right. I have never had a bad experience at any Yo Mama. They have numerous offers going on once in awhile.

Thursday is double points days, so if you get yourself a rewards card, Thursday is the day to go. Frozen Yogurt places have a certain level of sameness, but this one is conveniently located in the heart of Shorewood's business district, so it's a great spot for dessert if you're having dinner at one of the many restaurants that surrounds it. They have the average, dozen flavors to choose from, but their toppings bar is a step above other frozen yogurt places in the area. Jellybeans? Got it. Nerds? Got it. Any cereal you care to choose from? Probably have it. (I do not recommend jellybeans as a topping, the coldness of the frozen yogurt makes them incredibly hard, and they weigh more. Go with gummy bears, you'll be glad you did). On a 94º summer day, strawberry kiwi and watermelon swirl really hit the spot, and it's definitely becoming a weekly tradition since moving back to Shorewood at the beginning of summer.

Just like most of the frozen yogurt place that have popped up in the Milwaukee area in the past few years, you come in choose the size of your serving cup, then choose from 10 flavors of yogurt - everything from standard chocolate and vanilla to cake batter and Alpine Vanilla, and then finally choose for 35 toppings - candy, fruit, and cereal. They charge by the weight. Nice open place with a fire place, small kids area, and a few kiddie tables. Great location in downtown Shorewood. It isn't Pinkberry but it will suit Shorewood just fine.
