Hot dogs. What more do you need? This was like a softly glowing gold and red Mecca along Wells Street when I was at Marquette. Some people don't like hot dogs, and there's something wrong with them. For the rest of us, there's The Dogg Haus, in all its neon glory. Stop in and put some meat down your pie-hole.

FRESHMEAT! And when I say fresh meat I really mean FRESHMAN! Must say I have to give four stars to a place that has truly stolen my heart - many late nights spent here when (as freshman) it was the closest thing to a party we could get. Great food and even greater times. The Wisconsin dog is my personal fave and I cannot pass up a side of those cheese curds. I have eaten here for lunch only once and I did not regret it, but I must say it tastes better at 2AM. (then again...what doesn't?) Make sure you make it to one of their photo nights!

Good for that 4th meal you randomly craved at 1 am on a Fri/Sat night, or I suppose good at any other time as well. I think its nice to have a campus hotdog hangout, although in most places this isn't really a place where you would hangout for longer than 10mins. At any rate this Dogg Haus is not much different from the various others in Milwaukee. The hotdogs are ok and they have many different types depending on how creative you want to be. Personally I believe the saving grace of Dogg Haus is the cheese curds which always seem to be amazing. So in short, hotdogs are optional but you MUST get cheese curds!

The dogg haus is exactly what you need after a night of good hard drinkin. Try the Chicago dog or any of the specialty dogs, add a side of cheese curds and you won't be disappointed.

First time coming here after being in the area and hungry. I got the Rome i believe it was which is italian beef on a hot dog, that was pretty good, the fries were good, I was still hungry so i go the KC Dog which is italian beef, bbq sauce and the Hot dog, that was also really good, price was pretty fair for what you got

Thank god for the Dogg Haus, or else id never be able to get my Chicago style dog fix while going to school at MU. I frequented the Dogg Haus many times, and I've tried many of their dogs. You really can't go wrong with most of them. Despite the fact that it's open late, they do a good job keeping it clean in there. I really like the ambiance as well. Drunk or sober, I'd recommend grabbin a dog at the Haus.

Glad I gave this place a second chance because they have some tasty dogs. Moreover, they also serve french fries, which is always a plus.

This, easily, has to be the best German restaurant on Marquette's campus. Well, maybe. It's probably the closet you'll get to a German restaurant on Marquette's campus. Don't be fooled though, hot dogs are what they do best here. Nothing special but if you're looking for a late night snack you'll find Vienna Beef here catered exactly to your liking. Chicago style to Wisconsin (my favorite) style dogs. I think I have even seen a hot dogs with BBQ sauce on them. There are plenty of different toppings to choose from even if you want to create your own! Yes - they also have plain dogs too. Side of cheese curds or fries. They're just okay. I'd rather get another hotdog. All the times I've been here, they've had a unique set of tunes playing in the background. I've heard rap, reggae, and I'm almost certain that was Maroon 5 once. And for the record, this really isn't a German restaurant. I'm pretty sure these hotdogs are American.

Holy hot dogs batman! Stopped in late one night with the kiddos. I dont eat beef so the review comes directly from my kids. Dogg Haus has a wide variety of hot dogs and toppings. My kids were amazed by the variations of hot dogs. I ordered about 10 or 12 hot dogs of different kinds. They were all reasonably priced. The service was prompt and courteous. The only gripe was it was empty... i mean empty on a Friday night on a Marquette campus? You know the weird feeling you get when your out eating and your the only one or two persons there? Well yea .....i got that feeling that night. Bottom line was that it was good for the kids and the selection was great along with the price. If they started to offer turkey dogs i might actually eat something here. Until then..........

Went to Marquette. Dogg Haus is amazing. Every visitor I had, I took them there, and they all love it. Every saturday and sunday morning I woke up with mustard on my clothes.....a sure sign that I was at Dogg Haus. The staff was always friendly and the food is great. Get the hot Rome.

Fast, friendly service. Great food with good variety of customizable hot dog options. I've been a fan of the Brady Street location for a while, and the Marquette one is just as good. This location has late hours, so it makes for an excellent late night snack stop.

A nice place to grab a quick hotdog. They have a quirky and varied menu. Service was quick and prices are good. A good choice in an area with dozens of dining options.

Let me just say while I prefer the Brady Street location, I've managed visit all three locations. However, I only frequent the Wells St. because it's close to the university I attend, Marquette. And I just happen to be in the area when I'm really feigning for a chili dog that isn't from Sonic. If you're familiar with any Dogg Haus and the amount of activity it sees on weekends, you might want to avoid it due to the annoying drunk adults and college students. Aside from that, they make a pretty damn good dogg. With several types of meat options you can get (vienna, polish, italian beef, italian sausage, and for your vegetarian/vegan friends, the boca), the toppings are endless and there is so much variation that it'll keep you coming for more. I personally recommend: - Rome (mild giardiniera peppers + mozzarella + italian beef = HEAVEN). - Chili dogg - Self-explanatory. Pricing is reasonable. And they take Marquette cash! Always a plus.

I can't remember how I came across this place, I think a co-worker introduced me to it at some point during the 5 years I worked in Milwaukee. It's one of the places I miss most now that I don't work out that way any more. Because I'm a vegetarian, it's always awesome to find a place that offers options - especially veggie dogs! Though I have always gotten my veggie dog Chicago style (which has been my dog preference since I ate meat many years ago) I would like to eat my way through the menu and try the other varieties. The only thing that keeps me from giving them the full five stars is I've found their fries to be hit or miss. The last time I went the fries were perfect - crisp, hot and just the right amount of salt. The time before that, the fries were a complete greasy soggy mess and I ended up throwing them away because they were inedible.

This hotdog stand has character, mainly due to the quirky toppings they put on the dogs. All their hotdogs have a geographical name like Chicago, Atlanta, New York, etc. We tried about ten different dogs, buying them in Milwaukee, and eating them 2 hours later in Geneva. While cold, they stood the test of time, and were delishious. Not all the combos worked, no one cad for the Southwest jalapeño, but most were excellent. I actually thought these dogs were far better than Portillos in Chicago. The interior and ambiance is not great, a lot of plastic, Formica type furniture, but one can picture it packed at 2 am when Marquette University is in session. I will return again to try more things here.
