I got some tacos and an enchilada. It was good enough for me and my very picky friend from Mexico, so I would recommend it to anyone. It was also open pretty late at night too, and it's a great place for a quick taco run.

There's certainly no shortage of nice family run authentic Mexican restaurants in my neighborhood, but here's another excellent choice. It's a comfortable sunny place with big windows and colorful murals including one of Jalisco central square and cathedral. The food here is quite tasty, I like the tacos, the Chief of Staff raved about the cerviche tostada. They have a big selection of Mexican style ice cream (very creamy, real fruit including sometimes seeds so eat carefully). Everything was good except the coffee (old and stale), the service is friendly and competent, completely bilingual. Easy parking in front, very child friendly place unless you are trying to get your children to lose weight.

The food was very delish but the chips were stale and they didn't give us enough salsa. I had the shrimp cocktail soup and my BF had a beef dish that was fantastic. The rice here is really good.

I seriously love this place! My favorite taco joint from Milwaukee. Tacos are cheap and the service is very fast. I usually go for taco dinner, what includes rice, beans and 3 tacos. Great portion for a great price!

Great stop for late night Mexican after bar time. This is my go to place for Mexican food when I am near the 3rd and 5th wards and on the South Side. It is open late and caters to the local Mexican and Latino community, but with a large well lit parking lot on Greenfield, and a well lit rear entrance and friendly servers it is a great place to go for food late at night. I wish they had 24 hour breakfast! The specials include water. I wonder what that means? Did they mean soda? But the prices of the specials are good and at 3 am who cares! I think they are open 24 hours, but need to check on that. We have been here Friday and Saturday night after bar time and they are always open.

Just yum! Authentic Mexican food. It's not eye appealing, definitely a whole in the wall, but so good. My cousins suggested that we go and they lived in Mexico for over 10 years so I was willing to check it out, and intend on doing so again!

Breakfast is authentic Mexican menu. We had the Jalisco, bisteak with eggs, re fried beans and rice. Standouts are the homemade corn tortillas, homemade re fried beans, and gardeneria on each table.. Smart owners have kept the menu short, so they can keep it good. Takeout is available for all meals.

My first visit was for a quick dinner last night. A bright, clean family restaurant that features dine-in accommodations or a quick take-out. There is street parking and a parking lot. Super affordable (all tacos are $1.59 with the works, fresh sauces, and pickled veggies) and delicious horchata and jamaicas on tap. The tacos were great...less greasy than Taqueria El Cabrito and more affordable and larger than Guanajuato's...more delicious and better prepared than Arandas (at least the sit-down - the trucks are great). They take credit cards too.... Do some shopping and then eat here!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
