Singha Thai is a very big restaurant with alot of Thai decor... Statues, little dolls, large plants and gold art pieces. I ordered pudsee eww noodles, red curry with beef and Thai iced tea. The food came out less then 10- 15 mins. Food is very good but the bill was high for only 3 things. This place is nice for a big party cause of alot of room and decor but honestly, I know a couple Thai restaurants with better Thai food for more reasonable price. Food is good but it didn't give me that feeling for me to really come back.

There are way, way better Thai places in Milwaukee than this place. It's dark in there. The decor is way too formal feeling, but there is a TV on in the back of the dining room which creates a weird ambiance. The server was polite as was the hostess. It was about 7pm on a Saturday but the place was less than half full. The food was fine. Our dishes weren't as spicy as expected and not that appetizing to look at. The spring rolls leave a lot to be desired. Ours were served super sloppy looking. I'm glad I gave it a shot though. I wasn't totally turned off but like I said, there are other places I'd rather go for Thai.

Because of its convenient location, I have frequented Singha Thai over the past few years whenever a Thai craving has struck. There are definitely shortcomings here, including dry chicken in my red curry on several occasions, but there are also some wonderfully tasty dishes, like the Singha Noodles (thin rice noodles stir-fried with a light curry sauce, veggies or a meat of choice) - so delicious! On weekends this night the dining room can be full and there is no suitable waiting area, just a line of people standing very near to the door and equally near people dining.

a family favorite. only had 1 dish here that wasn't great - the bbq pork with cucumbers was dry and bland. everything else, though, is great. some favorites: spicy catfish with green beans, cashew chicken, pad thai. and the spring rolls are the best!

This place has gone way downhill since we first started coming here. Tonight, there was only one waitress. My dinner came out about 10 minutes after everyone else's did. The waitress never once came back to refill our waters which were almost empty by the time she brought our food. From now on, it'll be carry out only for me.

Hue mai cauhp? (Are you hungry?) Thai buffet? Wat Wat Wat? I know. This is news to me as well. We came really early 11:00 for for lunch birthday celebration for my brother. First thing I noticed was the beautiful Thai artwork decorations and sculptures on the walls the tables. They were thoughtful to put us near the back room as we had a 1yr old baby. With special needs (peanut and egg allergies). The server asked us to join him at the buffet and he explained which of the foods she could eat. I was really surprised with the garlic shrimp rice and chicken wings, very good flavor. Along with the jalapeño pepper steak. The quality of this buffet is just the right size to ensure fresh choices. My only three complaints was a few of the egg rolls were were mixed with the fresh ones getting close to past due "un-fresh taste" not awful, but if you make your own egg rolls? You can tell the difference between made today and made before and reheated. And EFY egg foo young? Not very Thai but I'm guessing some one likes this. I am just not a fan of EFY. Ask me some other time it's kind of a long story. Our server was very good at checking on us for water and clearing plates he was friendly along with the other staff greeting the little one. This is located in a strip shopping center plenty of parking and a nice neighborhood to walk around after getting your fill. Food: 4 star I think the staff should be required to taste test food for quality before putting things out there for customers. For example egg rolls were off tasting. Ambiance: 5 very authentic Service: 5 friendly staff Location: 4 easy parking, nice neighborhood Value: 4 little high for lunch buffet $10/person

Food tasted good. Kang Pa Chicken had the right amount of heat. Not too crazy about having to eat the whole cilantro branch. Egg roll appetizer was way, way, too greasy.

We have gotten take out before from here and it was good from what I recall however this visit at the restaurant was just plain disappointing. Everything was bland. The chicken tasted very hormone injected. The quality of the food did not merit the price they command. Eat elsewhere...

Had the buffet and it was pretty average. For Thai food it was decent but not great. A fair bit pricey and limited menu which was really the same selection with different meats. Rice was par, sweet and sour chicken was decent. No soups or desserts at all. Service was good, atmosphere a bit shady but ok. Good if you hankering for Thai. If you are trying to convince someone the area has great Thai food there are far better choices.

Buffet is not worth it. Bad quality of food. Almost tastes more like cheap Chinese take out than Thai. I am only speaking on the lunch buffet, I have not had their regular menu but it did seem like a normal lunch crowd in there so maybe that's better but stay away from the lunch buffet! Excellent service though, I'll give them that.

Medicore thai place. The problem is here in Milwaukee it seems we have limited options for thai food. The food: mediocre. They put waaaaaaaaaay too much sugar in every dish. Even when you order medium (I wouldn't dare try spicy) I can taste a ton of sugar. Service: I haven't say down and ate there for 8 years (had a bad experience). A few weeks ago I ordered takout. I was on my way home from work and I stopped in and ordered. My bill was 77 something (I was bringing it home for my family). I waited there about a half hour or so, signed the cc slip, and left. The next day my wife texts me at work with a picture of the receipt wondering why the bill was 154. It turns out they charged me 77 for the meal and 77 for "tip" in error. That's fine. It's understandable. Mistakes happen. I called the next day and was told to call in the evening. I called twice the following week and each time was told that they'd "look at it". After a week I was really frustrated and called the cc company to contest the charge. When I talked to the cc company the restaurant had given me credit for the 144 and billed me for the correct 77. That's all fine and well but what was irritating to me was the complete lack of communication. I can completely understand that mistakes happen, but please just communicate with me so I don't waste time calling over and over and eventually calling the cc company.

Buffet is VERY limited and not very tasty. I love Thai food. I wish I had ordered off the menu, that might be better.

This place is really quite nice. They have a really good menu with a lot of very recognizable Thai cuisine, as well as a number of restaurant specials. I would definitely recommend to go out on a limb at this place and try something you've not had before because the three times I've been I've done so and not regretted it at all.

I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars based on the ambiance. They did a great job at providing a cozy clean and authentic feel. More Importantly- the food: My Blood Pressure immediately shot through the roof when I put the first spoonful in my mouth. Let me preface the next few lines with a little background info: I can easily finish off 20 piece hot wings from KFC, or polish off a supersized big mac meal with 10 pc nuggets. We ordered several dishes that night at Singha and couldnt finish any of them. They were super salty to the point that I didnt even get it to go (I got the white rice to go). I asked the waitress if there was some mix up with sugar and salt in the back making the dishes high in sodium, but the waitress said that the dish was supposed to be that salty but 'not so salty when u eat with rice'. Thanks for the advice ma'am.

It was one of the saddest days of my life when the downtown Singha Thai closed; it was a quick commute over 794 and into downtown to pick up some delicious Kang Dang or Pad Thai and some crab puffs. However, I am obsessed enough with their food I will drive out to West Allis to pick up carry out regularly. The food here is addictively good (best crab puffs ever. I know they are not authentic to any Asian cuisine, but the ones here are peppery and delicious, I am obsessed with them) and reasonably priced. I recommend the Kang Dang with beef (red coconut curry with a nice amount of heat), or the Pad Thai with shrimp. Also, the people that work here are so nice- they remember my husband every time he stops in to pick up an order. Nice atmosphere, kind service and excellent food.

This has been an immortal favorite of mine for over a decade. I've lived all over the West Coast. The Pacific is typically an oasis of Asian cuisine, yet I still find myself watering my lips over memories of Shingha's savory noddle and rice dishes. It seems common for a place to come out strong, then deteriorate over the years. To my delight, Shingha has stayed consistent. Friendly atmosphere and family staff (Muni, she's the best.) The take out orders are just as delicious as when eaten in. Unlike a previous reviewer, I don't find their food too salty or overloaded with the essence of MSG. They don't make the mistake of using so much spice as to overwhelm the taste of the dish. Any complaints? I'm never as fan of large screen TV's during dinner, but this seems to be the cultural norm in many Eastern cultures. 'When in Rome' (or, a little West of Bangkok.)

Declining. On a Saturday evening at about 5pm - ordered a glass of house cab... they didn't have... asked for a glass of Merlot... didn't have. Finally settled on a beer. Ordered Soup, Spring rolls and 2 entrees. All of the food came at the same time. Entrees were COLD. We asked the waiter to reheat the entrees. Still cold. A person - who I assumed was a manager totally ignored us. The restaurant was not busy. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants. It will be a long time before we return. Sad to see a favorite restaurant decline.

My chicken was cold because it was clearly pre cooked and frozen.Service was slow.I was seriously scared I was going to get sick. You get a peak at the kitchen and it looks like a disaster area. Never going back. Had been a loyal customer.

I've only been here once, but I plan on trying it again! I went with a group of friends so we all ordered different things and shared. It was great to try several dishes. Everything was really good; vegetables were crisp; meats cooked well; sauces were awesome - not overbearing. The service was attentive. Well worth me driving in from Oconomowoc to eat here.

I've been coming here for years when I'm in town visiting my fam. This place is awesome, get the Volcano Chicken. It is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is perfect for a thai restaurant. The food is scrumptious and the Thai iced tea and Bubble tea is also very good. The service is up to par and I have never had a bad experience here. I'm a little confused about the salt comment, because I am very sensitive to salt (I don't even think I own a salt shaker, I never add it to anything) and I have never had that problem here at all. Loves it!!

One of Milwaukee's gems. Very authentic thai food that is fresh hot and delicious! The curry is made fresh- so the panang is outstanding. Great Pad Thai with generous portions. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the entire menu.

My family & I stopped here last year on the drive back from Michigan to SoCal, & I found this place ( thanks yelp ) they were skeptical, but I knew in my heart of hearts, there was nothing to fear. However, I did not know that we would have stumbled upon such a gem! In Milwaukee of all places!!! I have eaten a lot of Thai food throughout my life, a literal LOT. This place is probably now 2 in my top 5 (yep that many Thai restaurants I have a top 5), number one being in Thai town in LA. Pad Thai, Yellow Curry, & their jasmine rice are top notch. If you are in the area, this place is a must.

If there's one restaurant I really miss, this is the place. I worked in the area for years and ate many many lunches here as well as dinners. The menu contains over a hundred different items, which might be a red flag to some - but everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. Their Singha Cashew Delight is amazing. I cook alot and have tried to replicate this dish many many times with disappointing results. It is hands down one of my favorite meals of all time (and if someone from the restaurant is reading, could you pleaase pleassse message me the recipe for the sauce?:) ) The prices are also very good considering the portion sizes. Im a pretty big guy, 6'2'' 200lbs, but I will more often than not - eat half the meal for my lunch and have them box up the rest with extra rice and that will be my dinner or my lunch the next day.

The beef was chewy and the peanut noodle was really heavy. However the peapod chicken was surprisingly good. $5 for Thai ice tea seems a bit excessive.

  • Kelsey C.

I can never remember the name of the dishes that I end up choosing, but typically I take a random guess from the menu and haven't been disappointed so far! Very good service, great food, and a large selection of meals.

  • PaChee C.

Their pho broth has so much garlic in it, it might as well be garlic pho broth. They didn't give me any condiments at all and no veggies (basil, lime, bean sprouts, etc.). It was such a small bowl for $9.99 too. The spring rolls are not what I thought they were. I thought it would be rice paper with pork and shrimp but it was either wet chicken or tofu. It was a crepe texture like it said, I just thought it was be like a normal spring roll. Would not recommend to anyone.

All over amazing. Everything I've had has been delicious here. They have the best pud thai I've ever had. The crab puffs are a must along with the squid appetizer. Make sure you don't forget about dessert as the fried wontons are a perfect way to end your meal. You get huge portions of everything-- it usually lasts me 2 + meals. Everything tastes so fresh and they will make each dish to your level of desired spice. You can also put your own spice on with their delicious Thai chili sauce. The restaurant itself is so clean and you eat on fresh white tablecloths. The owners are so kind and I just love this place whether I'm eating in or taking out.

The more I come here, the more I like Singha Thai. Their service is superb. The restaurant is big and you always get seated right away. Food always comes out super fast. Lately, there has been this amazing employee who anticipates all of my hydration needs. My water is always refilled the second my glass starts to deplete. You can get an entire pot of tea for $1. An entire pot! For $1! My favorite dishes here are the pud siew and the mussaman curry. Currently my favorite Thai place in the Milwaukee area.

Really, really, really good food. I would give it 5 stars if it was a tad less greasy. Still, this place hits the spot. Went here with my parents on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy, but we got a table right away. Service was very attentive in bringing us our food and drinks, as well as filling up our water glasses. The ambiance is a little dark, but the decor is fitting for the restaurant. The food. Pud Thai - probably the best I've ever had. Get it. Seriously. Racha Chicken - you get SO MUCH CHICKEN. Yes it's $20 for one dish but you could feed a small village with the amount of food that you get. And its good. Really good. They managed to keep the chicken crispy even though it's smothered in a delicious sauce, bravo. Panang Beef - Good, but a little too spicy for my taste. They didn't indicate on the menu that it was going to be as spicy as it was. But the flavor is very good. You also get a huge bowl of white rice with your dishes. We did order the combo appetizer, and everything was fried. I guess we should have read a bit more carefully because we weren't aware that everything was going to be fried. It was all yummy, though!

This was actually the best Pad (Pud) Thai I've had! I can't say much for the buffet that my husband had. He said it wasn't all that great. Shame.

Ambience and service is very poor but food is good and its cheap compared to other thai restaurants around Milwaukee. Wish it had cool ambience too.

  • Ed K.

Absolutely not. This place is creepy and not worth your time. The place is all dark, probably to cover up the grime and you can tell especially if you walk back towards the bathrooms. I hate to use the word disgusting but their "pud thai" was one of the worst I've ever had. Overcooked bland noodles with...shredded raw cabbage on the side? The whole plate looked anemic and unappetizing. The prices are also ridiculous. $11.99 for pud thai, but if you want meat, it'll cost you $16.99! YES. Ridiculous. Never again.

    (1)
  • Mog Y.

The food was okay. Not your typical authentic thai cuisine. What kind of thai restaurant has no sticky rice? I dont get it. So instead of larb (i wanted sticky rice to go with) i got curry. It was okay, would of been better if i made it at home. 1st time there and I dont think ill be going back.

I tried this place on a whim. I couldn't tell you the difference between Thai and Chinese food. With that being said, I ordered the spicy chicken for take out. I thought it was awesome. I would order here again.

    (5)
  • Ilana O.

I would give it another half a star for the size of the dishes alone... Especially the pad thai that took 3 sittings to finish. I've never eaten at the restaurant, but the takeout is solid. The process of ordering on the phone seemed a little jilted, but they get the orders right, so that's fine by me. Not the best thai I've ever had, but not the worst. Prices are reasonable. The never ending pad thai (with chicken) was $12. Dinner (takeout) for two for $30. Yes, please.

  • Amber F.

I started eating here when I was a little girl. I moved away when I turned 20 but have been back a handful of times over the years. I have never had a bad experience here! The tom yum is one of the best I've had...mee krob is a sweet crispy appetizer that you can't find at any other Thai locations...just all around great. I do wish that they would update the soda to fountain versus canned sodas.

Food was ok but it was one of the worst dining experience in terms communicating with the staff. Felt like they were feeding us for free. Truly wish they remember that even if the food is Thai serve it like u r in America....

Chinese food in a Thai restaurant cooked by a Hispanic cook. I should say that I went for lunch to meet a friend. We decided to have the buffet, so we could sample as many dishes as possible. I should also say that my wife is Thai, so I both know and cook Thai food. On their small buffet, only one of the dishes was Thai, and that was the bland, thin red curry beef. The other items were beef lo mein, kung pao chicken, egg rolls, egg foo yung, fried chicken wings and fried strips of chicken (for sweet and sour chicken?) I've had much better Chinese food at South Ridge mall. Everything was blah, no spiciness at all. Even the mae ploy sauce (a Thai sweet and spicy sauce) at the end of the buffet in a squeeze bottle was thin and runny, like they had thinned it down with water. The kung pao chicken was more of a stew, lots of liquid, water chestnuts, snow peas and a few peanuts. I met the Hispanic cook, the only one I saw, next to the bathroom talking on his cell phone. Clearly he didn't know either Chinese or Thai cooking. Even the Thai iced coffee we got was loaded with cream and barely tasted like coffee. Not sure if the food off of the extensive menu is any good, but if the buffet is any indication, I won't be going back.

Consistently rated in Milwaukee Magazine as the top Thai joint in town, which is how I found out about it. The restaurant has a menu which is so diverse that it's daunting. Pick what you know or ask good questions unless you're willing to be surprised. We did have one friend get a dish which was nothing like they'd expected, but it was her fault. She'd not asked the right questions. It was as described on the menu. I almost NEVER divert from one dish, and it's the BEST entree of any ethnic food category. It's my death row meal. I'd love for it to be the last thing I tasted before I moved on to the afterlife... Racha Chicken. It's menu item number 162. For $19.99 you're served a heaping plate of battered chicken served on top of cabbage and carrots and topped with a house specialty sweet chili sauce. It's like volcano chicken, only better. The chicken comes out smoky, with an almost charcoal flavor to it. Everything about it is fantastic. And I can hardly eat it in one sitting--so it ends up being superlative leftovers. Better the second time around... I've introduced a couple of people to this particular dish here and they now crave it with the same passion that I do. That's a sign that they're doing something right. And we've done their lunch buffet once. It was wonderful as well, but I kept daydreaming about item 162 the whole time I was eating... *sigh* I am thinking about it now... Did I mention that they have great Thai Iced Tea here as well?

I went here last night because my fiance and I were craving some spicy thai food to warm our belly's as the high temp yesterday was 18 degrees. (Gotta love Wisco!) Anyways, this was by far the most expensive Thai food I have ever paid for and unfortunately, soooooo not worth it. Almost $20 for shrimp pad thai which had very few skimpy shrimp in it. It was basically all noodles and it was very sweet. Huh? The second dish we chose was a red panang curry which was so soupy and thin. It was not a creamy curry consistency that I am accustomed to eating. The crab puffs we ordered had a very thick dumpling layer that was overly deep fried. In the end not impressed and annoyed our bill tallied $43!!! The menu is completely overwhelming with hundreds of dishes and there is no organization or order. You have to use a fine tooth comb paired with patience to read the entire thing and make a decision. Perhaps we have been spoiled after living in Chicago for 3 years and being surrounded by some really tasty Thai restaurants. Our expectations may have been too high. If you want to just eat because you're hungry, then go here because the portions are large. However, if you really want good Thai food, skip this joint. It's not gonna happen.

Very good! I ate here with my boyfriend, who really appreciates the portion sizes. The pineapple fried rice is delicious, and we really enjoyed the spring rolls. The staff is very friendly and attentive - our water glasses were always full. The coconut bubble tea is the highlight of going there - absolutely delicious! The boba is cooked well and the coconut is creamy.

I have been eating here for over 15 years....Ordered almost $100 dollars worth of take out last week for a few friends that came by at dinner time during the holidays. The food was awful! Very little meat and Pud Thai was too sweet. Beef fried rice costs $10 bucks and had a tiny bit of beef and and a bunch of fresh wedged tomatoes???? Volcano chicken batter was doughy and separating from all the chicken pieces. As I have read from other reviews rice should be fresh and mine was not as it was clumpy and dry in parts. This place used to be the standard by which I judged other local Thai. Really hard to understand why take out is always disappointing as this happened the last time as well. Super cheap on quality and has lost touch on flavor. I don't know what it is about their waitstaff but they are never friendly and just go through the paces like human trafficked employees that hate their jobs and Americans. I'll be driving to Esane. Bad service as we'll but at least the foods better.

I've been to Singha Thai a few times. Was so surprised to find a good Thai restaurant in a strip mall on Highway 100! Just look for the huge sign for Health Hut and turn into their parking lot, sumptuous Thai favorites await you. My son loves their Pepper steak with green peppers, snow peas, mushrooms and savory gravy. I've had it too, and it's good! I prefer Singha's take on curry, whether it's their Panang Curry or Coconut curry, I'm usually pleasantly surprised at receiving MORE vegetables in the curry than are advertised on the menu. Singha is a good place for groups- and I knew we were in the right place when a group of 10 retirees (the cultured kind that looked like they hit up Museums together on a weekly basis) were at the big table, and looked like Singha regulars! Service is casually attentive, and this is a good place for a casual date, dinner with the family, a large group, or just a quick solo pop-in. Good Thai on Hwy 100- who knew?!

I came here with two friends the other day for dinner and had a very nice time. We decided to order several items and share them all. Everything was good, but my favorites were the Tod Mun appetizer and the Citrus Beef. The Tod Mun were crispy fried fish cakes served with an excellent, vinegary cucumber relish. The relish had just the right combination of sweetness, sharpness and heat to cut through the richness of the fish cakes. The Citrus Beef was another example of the great balance of flavors that I love about Thai food. Sweet, salty, spicy, rich and bitter all in the same bite. What more can you ask for? We also ordered pork, chicken and seafood curries. They were all good, but not at the same level. During our meal we also enjoyed some outstanding Thai Iced Coffee and Tea. We finished our night with two very unique Desserts. A Sticky Brown Rice and Sweet Tapioca. They are wheelchair accessible, but keep in mind that the restrooms are down a very narrow crowded hallway that is difficult to navigate.

This is not the best Thai food in the Milwaukee area, but it's enough to hit the spot when you have a craving for Thai and are nearby. The servers and owners are very sweet and attentive - even when they are busy, which is always a plus. The decor is your standard Asian restaurant fare - i.e., tacky but bearable. Yes, the food here can sometimes be salty for the regular palate, but I think it depends on the dish. The catfish dishes are supposed to be a little saltier and mushed up with rice so it balances out. Personal hits here are the crispy shrimp (ask for extra jalapenos), the catfish with green beans, the tod mun, bahmee nam sai (yay fish balls) and crispy fish with chili. All the curries are just okay and will satisfy in a craving pinch. The larb and pad thai is a little on the sweet side. This is a great place if you have a large group because the menu is extensive and ranges from decent to slightly above decent prices and the staff doesn't care how loud and rowdy your party is and will not try and rush you out.

My family loves this place and we have been going here for years. As a vegetarian, I have only tried 4 or 5 main dishes. The menu offers over 200 choices. We used to order the egg rolls. They are delicious. However, they have pork so we no longer get them. We always get an order of spring roll that 5 of us share, enough for a couple mouth-fulls. The plum sauce is phenominal! I would order this as a entree if alone. The vegetable fried rice: greasy, but very delicious Pud thai - phenominal. Ask for the spice tray with it for a kick, because pud thai is super sweet. I also order steamed vegetables on the side because the pud thai itself is mostly noodle and sauce. Vegetable delight - I don't care for this, I think it is just salty and bland, but my mom loves it and orders it all the time. The others in our group love the Rasha chicken (it is spicy, I hear, but they love the flavor). I had the vegetable curry on Saturday. It was good. However, when reheated the next day it was very "fishy" smelling. I think I will go back to pud thai next time. The Thai Ice Tea and Ice Coffee are delicious. Service is always good. They are great with water refills and food always comes very quickly.

Very nice place to eat. Traveling in WI on business and found this gem. Very deceiving from the outside, it is cosy on the inside. The cold weather made it easy to head inside. I had the pad thai and it was excellent. Nice size portion and it was fresh and crisp...I've had some real soft and soggy ones before. I would definitely eat there again.

Totally grossed out. Got the singha chicken. I ate it at the restaurant. They packed up my leftovers. I opened it the next day, poured it onto a plate, and a dead fly was in my food. Never again.

This is a fantastic restaurant. Love the bubble tea (not as good as eggette in San Fran, but good for MKE) and the pad thai. The egg rolls are the best I have ever had. So light and flaky! The buffet is good--they always have something spicy and something tame, but is a little cold--as most buffets are. I do enjoy the buffet because you can try something new. The owners are sweet and friendly. Consistently good every time!

I like to get take-out here when I have a hankerin' for Thai food. I usually get the Curry Vegetarian (I ask for NO water chestnuts. I dislike them, and they use way too many to pick out). The BF gets the chicken satay, and I could eat that peanut sauce with a spoon. I don't, okay! I'm just saying I could. Something I just found out TODAY (after years of coming here I finally asked) is that they have unadvertised small sizes of their soups. I would have been getting soup all this time. Drat! Employees are nice, service is quick. They lose a star because they don't have a basil-chili-seafood dish. It's really my favorite thing. I should just learn to cook it.

I absolutely love the panang curry at Singha Thai. I really like the other ones too. Vegetables are crisp and the meats tender with just the right amount of seasoning. Their Pad Thai is okay too, but it comes with like 2 cups of diced raw cabbage. I don't get it. I don't like their spring rolls one bit. The wrapper is gritty, its not cut all the way through and when you try to break off a piece you end up with a huge mess on your hands as the innards fall everywhere except in your mouth. But overall, their good dishes are great, and I'm more than happy to stick to their curries forever.

Either the bar for good quality Thai has been raised in metro Milwaukee, or the quality of the food here has fallen. I rarely dine in here, used to get carryout a lot, thought it was quite good. Came here tonight with a coworker, had an ok meal. The setting is strip mall West Allis, big room, not much character, usually not too busy so you get plenty of space and privacy. The service is good, not great, not particularly warm or caring. The lunch buffet is a good deal, some things good sometimes. The menu is so extensive that there is no way most of this is freshly prepared. I had the collard greens which were pretty tasty, not overcooked, but with an overly sweet sauce. There were some crab rolls which were good. The chicken satay was cut way thicker than most places, lacked much in the way of spice. The namsod pork salad was just the right degree of spiciness. The serving size is very big, usually enough for three meals, if you don't share. I did not have the Pud Thai tonight, but as takeout, it is always very good. All in all, ok, but given some of the other Thai places (EE Sane, Jow Nai Fouquet), Singh Thai is not in the top tier.

Incredibly bad service, and really no good reason for it. They were quite busy with carryout, but hardly any diners. Yet we still waited and waited for our food, and then when it finally came (not both dishes at the same time for some reason), it was only so-so, and when we finished, it took over 20 minutes for them to come and give us our check, although we were obviously waiting for it. We will not be back.

The food here was nasty and not cooked. My wife ordered the Panang Chicken and the chicken came out almost raw and the food was cold. I ordered the pud kee mao and it was nasty. The pork was reheated and cold. The food had no flavor and the rice seemed like it had been around for days and crunchy. It was expensive and not worth the effort. I would never return...

Ok now, all the rave reviews pushed me across the doors of Singha Thai... and I ordered panang chicken for takeout. 15 minutes later.. back home: I open the rice box and strike my fork, rice breaks away and just sticks to the fork... clearly telling me that it ain't fresh... trust me..I know Thai rice... wait..I'm not done with rice yet... A more closer look at the rice reveals yellow stains/ spots everywhere... l gently forked out the stained rice.. and help some in a bowl.... voila! More yellow spots. 1 rice wasn't fresh at all 2 my take out was the bottom of the rice cooker before emptying it....booooooo! Now, whoever is raving about their Panang curry chicken.... either has never had the same at any other Thai restaurant .. or doesn't know Thai curries. My first look at the box in which they packed the panang curry.... I could clearly see how thin the curry was.. and all my doubts were removed when I took the first bite. This restaurant doesn't even come in1000 mile radius of the better Thai food I've had... to name a few: SriPhraPhai(Queens, NY).. Thai Place, Bangkok Balcony & Silk Elephant ( Pittsburgh,PA) I don't care if you have 200 items on your menu, if you can't make them all right and fresh. I give 2** for their Decor....I would have given 4**** only if I could eat Decor ;-P I'm sorry to disappoint all the folks who rave this place.. but, I ain't going back...so long!

I ordered carry out on a cold night and they did not disappoint when it comes to the heat. The crispy fish in chili sauce and sum tum are worth another visit.

We love the curry fried rice, the pud thai, the karee curry. We've been making the trip all the way out there for years and their dishes are still worth the drive out to their odd location in a strip mall.

As a child, you couldn't have gotten me to eat a pepperoni because I thought it was too spicy... now, nothing is too spicy (well, almost nothing - there was this one vindaloo I will not speak of...). Anyway, Thai food is one of my favorites for that reason - I love the spices, and I love it hot. Singha Thai does a great job with the flavoring of their food. I've had the green kang curry many times, and the panang beef is one of my favorites now. The spices are great the way they are meant to be, however, if you want it spicier, they will make it spicier. It doesn't even offend me when the waitress asks "are you sure??" Psshh. She has no idea. Another great thing is that they are open until at least 9:00, even on Sunday when many other restaurants are closed (and 10 pm on Fri/Sat). Their take-out is fast, and the portions are good-sized, so you can enjoy your spicy spicy thai for more than 1 meal!

Singha Thai is always busy. It doesn't matter what time of day, between the lunch buffet, easy carry-out, or dine-in, customers just keep coming. Over the years, the menu doesn't change much nor does the qualit of the food. It's consistently good. I've always found the decor at Singha Thai over the top which is contradictory to its strip mall location. The only knock I have about the place is the limited beverage offerings. As for the menu, with almost 200 choices, it can take a while to decide what to order. Whether it's the Singha Cashew Delight, Pepper Steak, Chicken Fried Rice, Spring Rolls, any of the seafood dishes, I am never disappointed. The servings are filled with generous portions of meat and vegetables and everything is spicy, and delicious. The food is never bland, always flavorful. Over the many years of going to Singha Thai, I have never been disappointed with the food. As for the service, it tends to be a little slow. But it's never like we're being ignored, it's more like they take things at a slower pace all the time. It's nice not to be rushed, to be able to relax and enjoy the company of my dining partner so I've learned not to take their slower pace personally.

Delicious and well portioned. Could be spicier though.

I was bummed when Singha closed downtown - so I was thrilled to find this location! I'm surprised by the negative reviews I see of this place, as I have always had great food here. I love their pad thai and spring rolls, but truly, I have never had a bad meal at either Singha location.

Overall this restaurant hasn't changed dramatically; however, I have noticed some improvements on my last few visits. A particularly bad server has disappeared and been replaced with a really good server. A few visits ago this server refiled my ice tea which the bad server had not done. I had the pleasure of having the good server on my last visit. Also I want to point out that they do have a really good curry on the menu. It is the massamun (sp?) curry and is definitely worth a try.

Went here a few weeks back and thought it was one of the best thai places I have been too. The green curry had a nice amount of spice to it and was very flavorful.

We'll go here again, but it isn't the best Thai I've ever had, and the dishes are hit or miss. We've visited a couple times. It's a nice change of pace for us, but on the far side of town. We'd probably be here more often if it were closer. The service is fairly good. We've gone on busy weekend nights and the water glasses get filled etc. Beer is $4-$5/bottle, typical for Milwaukee trendy restaurants if a bit pricey. The tables aren't super close together, but the noise does carry. It felt like we were in our neighbors conversations. Not a particularly romantic atmosphere. I don't think I'd want to take a date here. The food has some spice to it, but it's a bit hit or miss on the quality. Tonight I tried Tanya Tofu, a dish that was pretty much overfried tofu in a sweet and spicy sauce. I do not recommend this dish. My dining companion had the Signha Cashew Delight with tofu and it was excellent. The tofu was a bit oddly prepared, but all in all it was good, and we'd order it again.

Well spent 17 years in Seattle eating at many Thai and other Asian restaurants. This place was bad. The rice was old, we had 3 chicken entrees and it tasted as precooked chicken was added during the final heating of the sauce. The Chicken Satay tasted like it was not marinaded. The Tom Ka soup was full of white mushrooms (not straw mushrooms) barely cooked and the chicken had that pre cooked old taste. Beware. Left 98% of my Pud Thai and was not even offered a comp on the meal.

Had the pud thai with tofu.... AMAZING. My better half enjoyed a pan fried BBQ pork and noodles and we shared crab puffs. Everything was delicious. Veggies were super fresh and crispy and the meat was quality and well prepared. We will be back for sure!!! Love it!

I have been going to Singha Thai about a dozen time a year for the past 20 years. Never been there for dinner; only lunch buffets. Have had great experience every single time. Friendly service, good atmosphere and great food. There is a new buffet menu every day of the week and there is always something on there for people who are not very adventurous! Highly recommend it.

Yelp tricked me with this high average score. Food somewhat resembles Thai food, lunch buffet was awful - pretty much Chinese. Not happy, lets get this score down where it should be.

Food was not good. Dish that should have had chicken and shrimp only had small canned shrimp, no chicken. They don't even use jasmine or basmati rice, it seems, I have never in my life been to a Thai restaurant that used plain white rice. I ordered the Panang Curry, which I have had at probably 20+ places in my life, this ranked at almost the bottom. Quality of the meat was not good. Also, the place itself seems a little dirty or something, certainly not remotely classy nor elegant as someone described it. The best thing about the meal was the Thai iced tea. Won't be going back. Threw our leftovers away, that's how bad it was.

No Thai restaurant in Milwaukee can touch Singha Thai's Pad Thai - it is outstanding! The menu is voluminous. The oyster beef and any of the curry dishes are some of my favorites. But I usually order the Pad Thai because nobody does it better. If you have room for dessert, may I suggest the sweet sticky rice.

Good crab puffs (if' you're looking to put on a few extra pounds, tee hee). Decent food. Good curries. Pretty solid place overall. Still searching for the perfect pad thai though.......

I had spent some time in Thailand and had been craving Som Tam since returning home. I searched for some Thai restaurants in the area and with such an extensive menu (including Som Tam), decided on visiting Singha Thai. The restaurant is spacious and interior style is nice. I went for dinner on a Friday night and found it wasn't very busy which was nice. The waitress was quiet, only asking for our order, yet quick to bring us what we wanted. The Iced Thai tea was delicious! It was nice to see Thai beer on the menu as well. To eat, I got my beloved Som Tam but found it lacked the flavors I missed so much (crushed peanuts and lime juice). I ordered it spicy and it did not disappoint in that department. Fortunately, the serving sizes are large so I was able to cater to my palate at home. We also ordered the Pud Woonsen which was wonderful! I will definitely be returning to check out the other dishes.

The Pud Thai is my favorite. It is the only thing I have ever ordered off of the menu here because it is that good. It makes for terrific leftovers. The food portion is more than enough. There are so many cool Thai places in the city and prior to coming to this location, it seemed underwhelming due to its location and the fact that it is in a strip mall. However, I have been suggesting it to many and have only heard wonderful things. This is for sure on my favorites list.

We ate at Singha today and tried the lunch buffet. Really don't waste the money. I'm just so disappointed that the owner would put this food out for the public. Half of the buffet is not even Thai food and some of the items seemed like they could have been left over and warmed from last Friday's lunch buffet. The first time, I went here years ago, I was taken but a friend who is native Thai (he's since moved back to Bankok) but he would be so disappointed if he ever returned. The place was pretty packed though so maybe the public likes mediocre Chinese food in a Thai buffet.

My favorite Thai restaurant in Milwaukee. The food is great and the service is good. The pricing is reasonable for the amount of food you get with most dishes being $10-$15. I appreciate the central location too instead of driving downtown and paying twice as much.

I agree with some of the reviews in that this place is not all that it is cracked up to be. I went there due to the rave reviews but was not impressed. I came from Asia and know how good Thai cuisine is. However, the food at Singha is not up to par. The food is not authentic. Pad Thai was too sweet. Curry was too thin and too blend. The satay looks like albino chicken. The theme of the food is "sweet." Everything tastes too sweet. The portion is big though. Considering the quality and taste of the food, no thanks. Verdict: Would not recommend.

I decided to risk death by salt and to give Singha another chance to give me high blood pressure. I came here SuperBowl Sunday. It was dead, but there was a TV in the back where my man and I could enjoy the game with the employees. I have to say - it was pretty fun yelling "go go GO!! YEEAA!" in the middle of a pretty much empty restaurant (save 2 or 3 tables). We ended up getting completely different entrees than the last time (partially b/c we were totally disappointed previously) and went for the Pad See Ew with beef, Kang Green Curry w/ pork, and Crispy Noodles with veggies and pork. They were all delicious and well flavored! We made sure NOT to get the chicken - as theyr'e just dry slices of white meat. The Thai tea is still bleh...not as watered down as before, but it had way too much half/half so there was only a hint of the thai tea flavor. Luckily with these entrees, there was not a moment of "omg - I can't swallow this down" or "I just felt my blood pressure spike" or "i need water NOW" (as was the case last time.) Overall, definitely improved from my last visit. Enough that I would consider coming back again. ...Especially during SuperBowl Sunday when I can yell outloud along with the employees and not get the boot.

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever ate. The staff was extremely poor because for some reason the waiter/table cleaner thought it was okay to openly start joking with me because I only need one set of silverware....I don't get it......and on top of that the chicken satay was just alright and the Tom Kha soup had wayyyy too much fish sauce and had no coconut milk as far as I could see. Two bites of it and it took a straight trip right to the trash....DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
