This restaurant is a typical American-style restaurant, but thankfully it has a sophistication while maintaining overall value. The inside is clean, and the fact that this place offers iced tea with fruit bits that give distinctive taste. Normally, only more expensive restaurants would provide iced tea like that. The one I ordered had some raspberry. The salad bar had enough variety to make a salad you want with good quality. The steak I ordered was also pretty good. I probably should've let a chef cooked it a little longer though. Overall, it's definitely a nice place to have lunch with business associates like I did a few days ago.

Descriptive phrase: casual Meh-merican food. Needed a quick dinner up in north Milwaukee, so we stopped at Ruby Tuesday. It's a chain, but there were some notable parts to this location. 1) Takes forever to wind your way into their parking lot off the street. 2) Service was bad. Our waiter didn't even feign interest in his job or being there. 3) Chicken Tortilla Soup was spicy and worthwhile. 4) Ruby Minis (2 sliders with American cheese, mayo, ketchup, and pickle) were poor. Could've been any fast-food burger that'd been sitting under a heat lamp. Buns were fresh out of the Roundy's bag, almost still attached to each other. Disappointing.

My experience here was much better than the posts I read before coming here. I was almost afraid to come here just for a glass of wine and a little bite to eat! Well, Ashley made my experience relaxing and everything was perfect. She waited just a few minutes for me to to order the appetizer so I could get $1 off - which I didn't even know about. The 8oz glass of wine was good, and the chicken quesadilla was very filling - all for $14.31. I couldn't even finish it! I have been here for lunch before and the blackened tilapia is delicious. They have a great salad bar as well. The manager even asked how I was doing and was walking around checking on his guests the entire time. So don't let these reviews scare you. Go and enjoy. They have a really nice bar to sit and relax after a long day of work.

I went for a seemingly light lunch at Ruby Tuesday which soon turned into an all-you-can-eat competition. Yes I'm talking about the salad bar- unlimited salad for $7.99. It had the basic stuff- 3 different types of lettuce, some vegetables, dressings and a couple options for potato/pasta salad. It was nothing special and they did fall short of a few options (like banana peppers, garbanzo beans, etc), but I enjoyed my meal and the unlimited trips I was gifted with.

This was one of the most awkward dining experiences I have ever had. I walked in and the host just stared at me until I spoke. I was seated, waiting for the other member of my party, and the waiter came over, didn't introduce himself.. Didn't say anything except "do you want something to drink". I ordered my drink and then he just stared at me.. And I asked "....did you want to see my ID..or what.." He looked at me like UM DUH.. Like being a waiter doesn't require you to use words. So when our food finally came, after both of us ordering our burgers medium... They both ended up being very very well done.. And one was bacon cheese burger... That they didn't put bacon on....?! Nobody acknowledged us as we were leaving either... No "thanks, have a good night". Nothing. The one and only good part about this experience was the drink menu.

Not for large groups!!! My basketball team was staying at the hotel next door. I called letting them know a group of 14 of us would be headed there for dinner to make sure they could accommodate us. When we got there they had placed us at two different tables... across the restaurant from one another. I asked if we could sit closer and the host said we could not all sit together as it was their policy. I would understand this if the restaurant was full, but in reality there were about 7 tables full out of the 20 available. There were more than enough open tables to make it work especially because the open tables were in the middle (not booths) that could be moved. I asked to speak to a manager and he was right there. He also told me that we could not sit together as it was their policy. I asked if we could at least sit near one another since there were 4 tables open next to one of the two they set up for us. The manager walked back to us and said he could do a booth and two other tables, but not one large table, which once again made no sense because there were 4 table all open next to one another that could be pushed together. I have worked in restaurants for years and new this was probably because they wanted two different servers to take our group. I use to be a manager at Ruby Tuesday's and know they don't let one person take groups our size as they want to give good service, so two are needed. This whole ordeal made no sense as the restaurant was mostly empty and were were a team on a road trip that wanted to bond by being next to one another. I finally told the manager I knew of the policy of having two servers, and told him it made no sense why two servers could not wait on us at one large table. I did not understand why he made this so difficult and wanted to put us at three different tables or thought it would be acceptable to be on opposite ends of the restaurant. I finally told him that if we can't sit together we were going somewhere else. If I did not have 13 hungry people, I would have left much earlier, but I did not want to inconveniece my team for principle. The manager said since I was being nice about everything he would make this exception for me, like it was a big favor. I thanked him and we waited for them to move their tables. (By this time there were only about 4 other tables in the restaurant being occupied). Once everything was figured out the rest of the night was great. The salad bar was maintained, the two servers that took care of us made sure our drinks were refilled and everything went smooth. The food all came out together and was warm, so the overall dinner was great. Food and servers were great. The manager and trying to stick with "policy" versus doing what made sense was a joke. Large groups over 10 - stay away.

The bartender (Ashly) is terrific. Very warm and friendly. She remembered my food and drink preferences the second time I came into the restaurant. I like the relaxed atmosphere. A nice place to kick back after a long day at work. If you have a sweet tooth, I recommend the blondie dessert. And if you are wallet-conscious, their happy hour specials are a great value.

The Worst...I will Never come back to this Ruby Tuesday's....First off with such a casual employee attire I thought our waiter was a customer. He had to be told our table was his. Its possible he was overwhelmed with tables or it's possible he just didn't know what the heck he was doing. The salad bar had lettuce that was brown. I asked if new lettuce was coming out...the employee basically just covered all the brown lettuce with new lettuce. I had a sirloin steak(I like med well) it was well done hard, the lobster tails where just laughable, rubbery and didn't look as if they had been cleaned. I informed the waiter who told me the Manager would be over...he NEVER came to our table. But I did see him on his cell phone outside. I informed the waiter that I didn't want the meal. Hubby had the ribs and chicken which he stated, were greasy. Plain & simple staff is unprofessional along with the Manager. It showed he didn't give a sh**. I gave them one star because you have to rate to review. There is no way I would EVER recommend this place to anyone.

I will not be returning to this location again! Our poor server was doing a fine job, but there was a hardened bug in my salad from the salad bar!! Tried not to make a big stink about it, but GROSS!! Then the manager didn't even offer to pay for the salad... instead he insisted we get more food. Why would I want that when I just lost my appetite completely. I had to pay for a salad with a bug in it..

After a long day of travel we wanted to grab a quick bite for dinner. When entering the restaurant we noticed a rank smell. We sat at the bar and got as far as ordering water. After that the bartender never returned to take our order. The place was empty and the bartender was too busy texting on her phone. After 10 minutes of staring in her direction we left and took our business elsewhere. Happy dining! :(

Had a recommendation so gave it a try. The petite sirloin looks nothing like it does on the web sight. It was a left-over piece of bad sirloin that was overcooked; the rice pilaf was a congealed mess and over salted. What box did this come out of, I wondered? The salad bar was at first exciting, but everything tasted of vinegar. I don't know, is that a preservative for the lettuce? I left the waitress a generous tip and here's my generous tip to you: DON'T GO. IT IS NOT WORTH THE TIME TO BE SEATED.

I came here on a whim with my girlfriend and a friend of ours. We were looking for affordable, quick, and easy food options. This place delivered all three. The place was packed when we came in on Saturday night. The salad bar was nothing to write home about with the peas still frozen together, the lettuce in huge clumps, and all different dressings sitting out forever. This was the low part of the meal to start things off. After that, I got the small bites(smaller portions) of the Baja Chicken Quesadilla. It was really flavorful and perfect size. The waitress felt bad since I was the only one without fries and I thought mine came with fries. She brought out a side order of fries on the house, which was super nice of her. They were out of most of the beer options on the menu so I got a Mojito that came with a weird strange stick in the drink that the waitress didn't know what it was but assume it was sugar cane cut down and put in there. I would eat here for a quick bite for lunch but not really a dinner place.

It's a chain, so the food always tastes good, the service on the other hand could use a lot of improvement. My water glass was always empty, and our waitress only checked on us to take our order, bring our food, and our check.

Was there this evening. My friend ordered the salad bar and while eating his second serving, he found a string of hair in his salad. We asked to speak to the Mgr. expecting an apology and concession for finding hair in the salad by removing it from our bill. But, instead of removing the salad from the bill, the Mgr. became defensive and defiant and said we should expect to find hair in a salad bar and the hair was not from and employee. He even guaranteed us that the hair was from a customer. After being told that we would take the hair with us and discuss with a lawyer and asked him to call the police because we were not paying for the salad, he asked us to leave and said he would call the police and have a charged with trespassing.

First time there service was almost non existent. Took ten minutes for our server to come around when he wasn't very busy. The bay biscuits were good but came out at the same time as our food. Server never came back to check on us, we had to ask for a check and a to go box and that's when we asked him how long he had been serving. He said two years. Embarrassing. My boyfriend and I are both servers and the service this first time was AWFUL. Regardless, the salad bar was nothing great. Our entrees were okay but nothing I would choose to eat again. The second time there was different. Better, more attentive service and food was good. Salad bar was the same. I guess it is a hit or miss experience from what I can gather.

Usually good. Not tonite! I ordered the seafood trio. The lobster was mushy. The pan fried tilapia was too greasy to eat. Literally made me sick. The shrimp were ok. The hostess was unfriendly, and had a tramp stamp all the way from her upper arm to her fingers.

If you: * Consider a fanny pack a key wardrobe accessory * Drive a dented conversion van with its muffler dragging on the ground * Don't mind dining amidst the occasional common housefly * Like to belch loudly in public, repeatedly, or listen to people who do * Have the patience to take 2, 3 or even 4 plates at the salad bar before finding a clean one, or * Think that quality of food is optional when selecting your restaurant, then: I've got great news for you! Ruby Tuesday will fit the bill. In spite of all of the above being a TRUE STORY, the hilarious company of my sister and brother-in-law, coupled with a $50 gift card, made this a memorable dining experience. Love my family - Ruby Tuesday, not so much.

Review is based solely on bar service. Waited 10 minutes for bartender to come over and only one other patron at bar. Had to ask him to clean off the bar where I was sitting and he did a half ass job with a handful of napkins. Finished my beer and waited another 10 minutes for him to come over a take my order. Horrible.

Really nice group of workers. I have not eaten many times but the fish tacos and salad bar were wonderful and tasty! The service was great especially the bartender.

Used to work here.... horrible place. Manager sleeps with Co workers and has favorites. They have 1 good cook but the rest are trash which explains the other bad reviews on food. It's completely unprofessional. They let some workers dress like they're going to a strip club. Another girl almost got in a fight with another Co worker who called her the N word. People steal from the managers and they do nothing about it. It's unsanitary are disgusting. Do NOT go there! I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy

Ordered a cheeseburger, and had a side salad at the salad bar. 1: order came out incorrect, for mine and 2 other people, waitress could not remember who ordered what, circling the table... 2: burger was burnt(black and crunchy) 3: bun was stale. 4: soda came out with a chunk of glass out of the glass. Overall would never go back, wasn't going to come in the first place, from previous bad experience. :(

Terrible... Out of baked potatoes. Out of Ranch dressing at the salad bar. Steak was overcooked and very fatty The coconut shrimp were ok. Won't be going back to this location again.

This location is one of the better locations because the furniture is more upscale and classy. The atmosphere is very romantic. The staff are great and friendly.

Service lacks in this restaurant. We waited awhile until we were seated while 4 employees were discussing a subject that they saw on Facebook. The bartender at the bar was serving only certain customers while ignoring others. One server was running around circles trying to serve a bunch of customers. No teamwork between employees at all. Food is alright but kinda overpriced on the quality they serve

Ewwww..went here with the hubby last night. It was our first time trying this place. The "salad bar" was mediocre, and my Shellfish Trio dinner was a mini lobster tail, an extremely soft mini crab cake and three not so jumbo pieces of shrimp. All three were seasoned well, but you would have thought I had just dined at some ritzy restaurant that offered small plate dishes! For $18.99 , I felt cheated out of a well rounded and filling meal. My husband had a sirloin steak and jumbo shrimp, neither of which reminded him of Louisiana or southern food. We both had the white cheddar mashed potatoes, and we never could taste the cheddar. We did ask our waitress for recommendations, but bless her heart, she was not helpful. We won't be back, this place charges too much for what is offered.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ruby Tuesday. They're one of the only places where you can get a salad in this part of town that is overrun with fast food. Why three stars? They're a chain - negative star. Their service is spotty - negative star. Their actual entrees taste like chain restaurant entrees - negative star. BUT the salad bar doesn't suck - positive star. Thus 3 stars. Stick to the soup and salad - that's your best bet.

Given I live in a city that doesn't have a Ruby Tuesday, I try to seek one out when traveling. This is our second time at this location. When we arrived, we were given a sheet of paper that had about 20 items we could not order since they were having problems with their supplier. We waited 15 min before the waitress came for our order. My husband ordered soup, and we watch it sit at the pickup window for 20 min. Needless to say, it was cold when it finally came to the table. We commented about seeing it sit there for so long and they took it back to reheat. We also had to go through 5 plates to find a clean one on the salad bar. I'm so disappointed in my experience and not a manager around to voice our concerns...

Stopped here for the salad bar, added a burger as it was not that much more. Nothing outstanding about either, nor the service. I sat near the bar and the people at the bar were very loud. There are special prices on appetizers if you are at the bar, not if you sit at a table, That does not seem right. Should be same price for everyone.

This is an overlooked chain restaurant that deserves more credit than it gets. I think in the last few years they've gone through a re-branding. I was here for a very nice week-night dinner recently with my fiance. I opted for a New Orleans seafood meal, while my companion had a pesto mahi-mahi. Both were cooked well and we enjoyed them. What really sold me was the solid spaghetti squash side. I always like it when you can pick your sides, and there are a variety to choose from as there were in this instance. I went for the salad bar, which normally I'm skeptical of. I think it's because everyone is touching the serving spoons/germs/etc. I also wonder how long thing have been left out. But in this case everything appeared and tasted clean and fresh. On a final note, we went with water, and our waiter brought lemons on a plate. A nice touch. And the cheddar biscuits could steamroll over the cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster. This place probably deserves a 3.5, but the tie is going to the runner in this case.

I have to be honest I was ready to give a bad review. We were visiting the area because we were in a bowling tournament and wanted to try a restaurant that we do not have at home. We were seated right away, but it took 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us for drinks. We had waited so long that we knew what we wanted to order. Waiter took order 6 rib eyes with different sides and a kids meal. We waited another hour. Food came and it was auctioned off and given to the wrong people. The rib eyes were ok, but for the price they could have had less fat on them and a little thicker. The reason I'm not giving a low review is because the waiter informed us that they were having kitchen issues and we only seen him working the large section that we were seated in. Manager came over and we explained what happened. The manager offered free desserts and comped all three tickets $19 ( the cost of one ribeye meal). When in the area again, would stop in and give them another chance. Carmel apple martini was real good and so was the sweet tea.

This place used to be amazing when it first opened. My family used to love coming here. Now, forget it. Upon entering the restaurant on a not at all busy Thursday evening (8/1/13), the host was putting three tables together for a larger party. Although he acknowledged our presence, it was another five minutes until he came over to seat us. Meanwhile, a waitress stood over by the bar area, obviously looking for something trivial to do to avoid the awkward situation unfolding as another party arrived behind us and the entrance started to become full of people waiting for someone to come help us. I think their dishwasher is broken because I went through about 8 plates on the salad bar before finding a clean one. The croutons are like soft little disgusting sponges. There was a man eating across from our table who had a salad off of the menu, not the salad bar. He had every last crouton up on the side of his plate in a line. Omg it's bread. THROW THEM OUT IF THEY'RE STALE! They must have cost like, $2. After receiving a glass of water with food chunks stuck to the sides, I wanted to get the hell out of there.

Family dined here several days ago - I had BBQ chicken, wife had a steak, others had pasta. Service was good, salad bar had very fresh ingredients. Wife's steak and potato were excellent, pasta was good. My chicken on the other hand had issues - more or less a "portion-controlled" reheated item with some bbq sauce dumped on it (not real bbq chicken).

This is one of the most slept on restaurants in Milwaukee. I think because of it's location, it's not really near anything. I love Ruby Tuesday's. Tak K review was dead on, I will just add a few things. Ruby's is very clean, has a very good bar (carries Ciroc my drink of choice) & the menu is outstanding. I have tried at least 6 different options off the menu and you can't go wrong with anything. Some favorites are the Chicken fresco & the steak & lobster mac & cheese. Plus the fish is good. Service has always been good for me. It's a great date place because it's usually not overcrowded and it has a nice atmosphere. The most important thing about this place is the dessert. I hate to even tell anyone about this because it's been my little secret but for my Yelp readers I will. The Double Chocolate cake is the best dessert in the entire city!!! I will put it up against anything. It comes with ice cream and this strawberry sauce (not sure what it would be called). It's what you imagine eating food in Heaven would be like...haha.

I am not a fan of chain restaurants but this is my favorite one. The food is similar to a private owned place. The service is average but friendly. I love the atmosphere and the food is delicious.

I hate chains. Hate, hate hate. But this wasn't as bad as most of the RT's I've been to. The salad bar was fresh and edible. I have a pasta salad fetish lately, so had several helpings of both green stuff and carbs. Coffee was ok. We really just came for coffee. It was...drinkable. Sigh. It was the only game in town. At least close to our hotel. And cheaper than Allgauer's.

We went there last night with our granddaughters and we had a great dinner. Restaurant was very clean, staff was very friendly and our waitress was exceptional. She really catered to the kids. My husband had the buffalo chicken sliders and the salad bar. The slider was a breaded chicken breast pounded thin and pan fried on a slider roll with a buffalo sauce, tomato and lettuce and fries that were hot and crispy. I had their broccoli/cheese soup and the salad bar. I love all of their soups but the broccoli/cheese is my favorite. The kids orderes off the children's menu and both had the fried shrimp which came with white cheddar mashed potatoes and broccoli. The broccoli wa fresh and not overcooked and was a very generous portion. The waitress brought a dish of melted butter for them to pour over it which they loved. The salad bar is great, they have four different bowls of lettuce to choose from, a spring mix, butter lettuce, romaine and iceburg. If you join their online club you get monthly discount coupons. We had a 25% off your entire bill so the 4 of us ate for a little over $30. That's including the (2) $5 premium cocktails which is a great deal too. We will definitely go back their again.
