I tried pho for the first time at Pho Cali a few weeks ago and the experience was top-notch. PHO IS SO DELICIOUS, man, I did not know what I was missing in my life! The first time I ordered the Pho Ga and J ordered the Pho Dac Biet. We both loved our orders. Mine was just delectable and the chicken was perfect. I'm pretty picky about meat. Sometimes meat just weirds me out. But this chicken was PERFECT and thus, made me very happy :D Also, the dishes just LOOKED beautiful and appetizing. I have also ordered different flavors of the milk teas with tapioca, which I very much enjoy; and J had a grilled pork Bánh mì yesterday which he said was also delicious. Additionally, the staff is so polite and gracious. It is wonderful to be treated so nicely at a restaurant. Yesterday I walked in to place a to-go order and I was seated with a glass of water while I ordered and waited! Thankfully Pho Cali is very close to my house so I know I will become a regular here. Wonderful service, guys! Thank you!

First time ordering from here. I ordered the Spring rolls with shrimp and sliced pork. I thought price of$6.95 was overpriced. In addition, I didn't get any sliced pork in my spring rolls.

Pho is one of my favorite meals, so after reading all of the reviews we were excited to try this place. unfortunately the service was so poor it was hard to enjoy. We had to wave the guy down after ten minutes of no one coming to take our order. We waited for 25 minutes for our spring rolls to come out then an additional ten for the pho. They make a big vat of broth, how can it take so long?! We almost walked out when they finally brought the spring rolls. My husband got regular meat pho and liked it. My chicken pho had a few pieces of shredded chicken, but the broth was tasty. The tofu spring rolls were very good. They have no veggie pho option which is unfortunate. They forgot and mixed up two orders at the table next to us. Two small pho and a spring roll were $25, too much for pho. Will not be making the trip down there again.

Highlight of this place: the waitstaff. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They even gave us 20% off for our first time coming. The food was fairly average for Vietnamese, I had Pho and my mom had a rice noodle dish. The only turn-off was the fact that it was fairly dirty. I will most likely be back if I'm in the area.

Came here again :) today. .. This place is pretty awesome! The owner gave us 2 Thai boba milk tea just because we were new to the city. Tea was really good and the Pho was phonomenal again. . The spicy beef noodle soup was really good also. We will be back for dinner :) to try their rice dishes

Well decided to stop by on friends recommendation. I likely would not visit again but don't let my review deter you. The veggi egg roll was good but tasted like it was fried in the same oil with fish. The pork wrap is delicious. Nice fresh. Really fresh. I had Pho 2. The meat was way too fatty for me. The broth was really nice and if you add the jalapeño for kick it's quite good. Aside from the Meath the veggies were nice and fresh, great portion size. Everyone is super nice and friendly. Cleanliness could be an issue. The place is defiantly worth a Pho visit:)

Mmm mmm spring rolls. They make the larger of the normal versions and the grilled pork preparation is a fantastic item. Crackling meat and crisp layers of fresh seeming veggies in a sticky rice paper. Savory and relatively healthy, GET THEM! Pho itself was pretty good. Their steak is the kind with lots of thick mushy fat, not the kind I like. Sure it helps the pho phlavor, but ended up being a lot wasted meat at our table. My chicken stir-try had a pepper by it in the menu, and it was good and spicy with thorough coverage of hot spices. Oily to give the heat a good linger, yet over oily for me. The included rice was another perfected item. Great stickiness for chopstick eating. Additional notes: Carried-out items good for lunch next day. And saw a very recent about condiments at table: tables at least on the perimeter of PhoCali had every possible condiment already on it, plus pho spoons dispenser and napkins. Service was quick (but not to quick, made to order) and they brought to-go sauce for our leftovers. Far enough away from downtown where I'm not going to bother going again to sit down, but next time the wife needs a ride after work and is starving, I'll go the extra mile for more spring rolls.

The food was great but the service was very, very slow. It took about 15 minutes before we put in our order and it took another 40 minutes just to get our food. Although it may have been a mistake, there were 3 groups of people who came in after us that were served before us. As for the food it was very delicious and flavorful. I just can't imagine waiting this long again and will not be back.

Lovely place, I have really enjoyed their pho. The server has also been super nice each time I've gone. One caution: don't get the pho to-go. Meat is raw and rice noodle is sticky, so takeout is difficult to be enjoyable and hygienic.

This was my first time dining here and it will most definitely not be my last. We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant, seated and water was on the table before I could even remove my purse. Exceptional service! I order a large pho with rare steak and meatballs. The broth was flavorful, meat was tender and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I can still smell that divine pho now, so aromatic and addictive. The thai iced tea was delicious, too! Lastly, I loved that the staff was so nice and answered any questions we had. I can't wait to go back and try the bánh mì.

I have been by this place a million times without stopping and gotta say, just found my new spot. Service was excellent. Got a table as soon as we walked in. Servers were attentive and polite. I never had to call for their attention. They're on their game. As for the food, AMAZING. I got the spicy lemongrass chicken. #C13. It was fantastic. Chicken was tender and flavorful. The rice was done perfectly. I forgot, but the prawn spring rolls were excellent as well. So was the dipping sauce. I know not Chinese, but I just got back from HK and I have been craving real, legit, tasty, authentic food from that side of the marble. I found it tonight. Hit the spot. Got an order to go as well. Check out this spot. You won't regret it.

Ever since finding this place we go out of our way to eat here often. Love the pho, it's so delicious and fresh tasting with the added basil, jalapeños and sprouts. The portion is large and they always provide an extra little bowl for my three year old son to share with me. We do always get the egg rolls too which are tasty. My husband gets the grilled pork sandwich (bunh mi) and raves about it every time. The staff is super friendly and this is just an overall pleasant place to go to!

Dear lord, it's amazing. Service was great! They gave my two year old a cup of soup (we were just sharing our plates with him) and he love it. When he finished it up and they noticed all of us trying it they brought over another cup. They gave my kids suckers after our meal. My kids loved it! I loved it. I wish I wasn't full so I could order more. We all had the banh mi sandwich and my other kid had a veggie noodle dish - also amazing. So much food, we had to get boxes. Next time it's pho fo' sho'. Can't wait to go back.

Very disappointed. The pho was alright and the service was poor. The server rushed us to order, it was a little busy but it seemed that everyone was already taken care of or already had their food. The wait for the food wasn't terribly long but we got our pho before we got the condiments and had to flag down the server to get them so we could eat our pho. In addition to not getting the condiments right away, our orders were messed up but once we got the condiments for the pho, our server disappeared and we already so hungry so we ate it anyhow. Overall experience did not live up to all the great reviews and will probably not be going back.

This place was fantastic, best Pho I've had in Wisconsin. The service and atmosphere is an upgrade from the usual Pho establishments. Spreading the word to get this place more clientele and avoid losing this gem. It's right off 27th across from Target. Do yourself a favor and don't miss trying this place out, you certainly won't regret it.

To start off, the food is great! I only had the pho though haha, but very good. It was sweet and full of layers. I missed the old place that was here, but this place is a good replacement. I say, the broth has that great flavor that the old hai tuyet that used to be on 27th. The tendons were kinda melty, but that only means how long the soup's been brewing, right? Jasmine milk tea I had was okay, had a very artificial jasmine flavor. I like the servers. One was kinda sassy, but just a cute old man. The other guy was just very nice. Very clean place. As I was eating, these guys were just cleaning the whole time (well not the whole whole time, they did serve me hahah). So I noticed that they actually used products to wipe down their tables. I don't know what that means to you.

My favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. Good food. Order the grilled pork with egg roll and shrimp. Delicious.

This place has the best Pho in town. While all of them are great, the chicken Pho is the best. When I'm not in the mood for Pho (rarely the case) I will go for the fried rice or pad thai which are both amazing. Of course we always begin with the freshly made delicious egg roles. All of the portions are big enough to eat until you pop and still take some home for lunch the next day. Not to mention, the prices are very affordable. The restaurant is very family-oriented and it's definitely a place that will keep you going back!

As a Vietnamese American who has been spoiled with authentic Vietnamese food growing up in California, I was disappointed in the lack of quality Vietnamese food in the Midwest. Then I stumbled upon Pho Cali and my world turned upside down. The Bun Bo Hue was fantastic (one of the best I've eaten) and I had the chance to speak to the owner. He collaborates with California-based Vietnamese American chefs and the high quality of the food shows. Can't wait to get back here and taste a bit of home.

Very clean and delicious food - Pho and spring rolls were outstanding!! We have been to Pho places all over the country and Pho Cali is as good as any we have visited. John was an excellent waiter as well.

Love the pho, I think I've finally found my spot in Milwaukee to get pho at. Some other things we ate, shrimp spring rolls, love the bright color of the shrimp, could use some more ingredients, just lettuce, noodles and Shrimp. The chicken wings were nice and juicy but lacked any real flavor had some kind of sauce, tasted like thousand island dressing to me, not complaining, used to eat that as a kid. The service is really fast and they're super nice. Pho broth is on point though. Would come here just for that :)

I love love their pho! I live in Madison. Traveled to eat here three times in a month already. Please Pho Cali, do not change anything about the way you guys make the broth, it is delicious! The pho I had today was big portions too though it was only a medium. "Thumbs up" please open one in Madison!

Well, I miss the place that used to be here Pho27, but this place was pretty good too. Outside needs tlc, inside is decorated pretty cool (tho I think this used to be a fast food joint many years ago.) Service is fast and attentive. Menu is pretty generous but I just came for Pho. I had the special pho which is like traditional, I think. It was pretty good, flavorful but could have used a few more meats. Egg rolls were ok, nothing special. Overall, Id go 3.5 but rounded down. Price was pretty reasonable I may go back if im in the area.

After passing by this place a few times I finally decided to try it out. Pho was good. I got a medium sized house special which had plenty of meat and a flavorful broth. Decent amount of fixings on the table to customize the broth. I'd like to come back and try the ban mi sandwiches.

I would give it 4 stars cause the food is good, but I have to give it 3. This restaurant recently opened and my family went there during the weekend it first opened. First off, service was horrible. The waiter seemed moody, was unfriendly, inattentive, and gave us an attitude when taking our order and bringing our food. We ordered our entrees, 3 bubble tea smoothies, and some appetizers like spring rolls. We received our food in opposite order: main entrees first (pho), spring rolls, and then bubble tea smoothies when we were finished with our meals. ???! Might I also add, the restaurant wasn't even half full, so it wasn't even busy. I wasn't planning to go back based on the service we received, but a friend wanted to try it so I gave it another chance. The same waiter I had before was MUCH more friendly and provided better service. I really enjoyed their pho (it is similar to Pho Hai Tuyet)I enjoyed Pho Cali's pho more. Also had the vermicelli with pork & egg roll. Standard, would have liked more sauce, they gave me half of the usual amount I am used to. The prices are a little more expensive than I would expect -- hey if you're gonna call yourself PHO CALI, I came in expecting California pho prices! $5-7 bowls!!

Sigh. I passed up several other Viet restaurants en route to this place and am sorely disappointed. I ordered the Mango Salad w/ Shrimp as appetizer, Pho, and a Mung Bean Milk Tea. The Mung Bean tea was served immediately and tasted great! My major gripe with the milk tea is with the boba. The bobas were slightly hard, stuck together, and had no taste whatsoever. Having recently returned from a trip to Cali where every place had perfectly chewy honey boba, it was saddening. Next, they brought out the mango salad. I was expecting something refreshing, but what they handed me was a plate of shredded unripe green mango and tiny crumbled up pieces of dried shrimp. No where on the menu did it mention that it was dried shrimp - and in the past I've had mango salad with tiger shrimp so this was sorely disappointing (ESPECIALLY for the hefty $9.99 price tag) The only redeeming quality of this place was the pho. I'm not a pho connoisseur by any means but the flavor of the broth definitely was flat in comparison to some other places I've been to. There were no hints of star anise whatsoever. That said, it was still hearty and filling. I did run across the same issue that another reviewer had. The server asked me if I could tip in cash and that they don't get the tips when paying by card. What? Is the owner stealing from the waiters?

This was my first time here and it was really good. I had an egg roll and a large pho. The bowls are big and provide leftovers. The service I received was prompt, courteous an enthusiastic and the soup and eggroll were served hot and tasted great. I will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I have been here a few times. I wanted him to try Vietnamese food a few months back, and after having their Pho he loves it! He craves for it more than I do. He also is a huge fan of their house special friend rice! I absolutely love their Pho, it's very tasty and everything is just right. Their service has gotten alot better after they gotten rid of the very young staff they had serving whom were all a little out of place it seemed. What keeps me going back to this place is their addictive specialty drinks! I LOVE LOVE LOVEEE their thai tea and coconut slushie with jelly& boba :)

The food is pretty good but the service is horrible. I had the pho and the broth was really good. Also tried their mango salad which was good. Each time we went, there was only one our two other diners there yet they didn't come around to see how things were going or give us refills on our water. Half the time I couldn't understand what they were saying to me.
