As a Greek from Chi who grew up in a restaurant family, I can tell you this place is great. My buddies got steak & eggs and a gyro sandwich & said they were delicious. They looked it. I usually don't order big salads at diners but I was on a diet so I went for the Cobb. It was awesome, including the freshly grilled chicken breast on top. Id come here anytime.

I am addicted. While it's not gourmet fare, Pegasus is consistently delicious, offers a varied diner-style menu, and has some of the friendliest, most competent staff I've found in the area. I am so glad they're open 24/7/365!

Lunch with a coworker in town. Had gyros, BLT and Italian wedding soup. All was delicious. Good service and prices were average. Will be back!

The fruit plate is massive. Prompt and frequent service, friendly staff. Reasonable prices, especially since you get really sizable portions. You can't complain much about a typical 24 hour Greek family restaurant that serves everything! I have heard, however, that their stir fry isn't their best. But you be the judge for yourself! The sandwiches and breakfast items are good.

I've had one breakfast here; sitting at the counter seating area by myself. I ordered three eggs over medium, bacon crisp, cottage cheese instead of potatoes, a side of sauteed spinach, and, "hold the toast." Eggs: Over medium eggs were perfectly executed. Bacon: Also perfect, but only three pieces instead of the usual four to an order. Cottage cheese: Served in a small, side dish. Cold, fresh and accompanied by one grape garnish on top. Sauteed spinach: Small serving. Just OK. Upon receiving my check, I was up-charged for the cottage cheese $1.65 and then verified that there are no substitutions allowed for potatoes, per the cashier/ manager. Counter service: Quick, efficient and professional. This being my first visit, I was holding my breath, based on some disparaging remarks I've read on YELP about Pegasus but, all-in-all, I felt the food, the counter seating and the service were all AOK, except for only receiving three pieces of bacon on an order. (Waaaahhhhhh, LOL!)

Try a new breakfast spot (check). This is a Greek restaurant that serves gyro meat with your breakfast (well, if you order it). I had the menu item that had 3 eggs, hash browns, toast and gyro meat (with that special ... or maybe not so special, gyro sauce). Let's just say the breakfast was underwhelming. Toast was burnt and the hash browns were probably a little undercooked. BUT, the eggs were a-okay and that gyro meat with that dip made the meal all the more worthwhile. Why do diners seem to have the same size cup for a "large" milk... just slightly larger than the water cup. Great, now I have to 'sip' this while I eat this plate of food. The last thing worth noting is the free wifi... only because the name is Yellow Fish and when you get seated you will see three large aquariums nearby. Wasn't expecting it, but also not disappointed by this surprise. My overall experience was average, I could see stopping back. I did like that it wasn't too busy on a Sunday around 11:30am (where other restaurants had lines out the door), I like food now when I'm hungry, not later.

This was your typical Greek place with a verity of menu items. Father's Day was packed for breakfast but I got a booth with duct tape to fix the cushion. I had the gyro and eggs with toast/hash browns. See the picture. Toast was wheat, white or rye. A Greek place and they don't have Greek toast. The gyro meat was standard. The sunny side up eggs were perfect. Hash browns could have been crisper. The place was packed and the food came so quick which surprised me. Over all it's a solid breakfast place. Would I go back, yes. It is my fav breakfast place, no. Will it work for breakfast, yes.

Pegasus is amazing! They have THE best chicken in all of Milwaukee. They are consistently amazing and their service is great. They must pay close attention to detail because we are never disappointed when we eat there, and we eat there often. Their rotisserie chicken and breasted chicken are so flavorful! I've had plenty of chicken which tastes good close to the skin, but becomes dry and bland after the first layer. This chicken is flavorful down to the bone. I have no idea how they do it other than having made a pact with the devil haha. Order just the chicken or soup and you won't be disappointed! Go Pegasus!!!

We decided to stop here at about 1:30 AM on a Friday - well technicality Saturday morning. My husband ordered the Gyro. His meal came with a choice of potato so he ordered fries. He also got a cup of soup so he had ordered clam chowder. I ordered the shrimp basket. My meal came with a choice of potatoes and a cup of soup. I ordered fries and the chicken with pasta soup. My meal came with a dessert and I ordered it after I ate my food. The manager (who I assume was the manager) packaged the cake I ordered while I paid. The soup came first. My soup was disgusting. It was way too salty and the noodles turned to mush. My husbands soup was okay. I told the waitress and she brought me a cup of the clam chowder at no extra cost. When the meals came out they looked pretty decent. My husband said his was okay except for a couple areas on the lamb that were really tough. My shrimp was really good. Perfectly crunchy on the outside. I would probably order it again. Both of our fries were horrible. They were cold and unseasoned. The waitress clearly did not want to be there and she seated a group of drunk people (8) right next to us even though there was no one else in the restaurant and plenty of open tables. I mentioned they were really loud and distracting and she did nothing about it. She never asked them to be quiet. I also noticed when they were seated she immediately brought all of them a glass of water. She didn't give or even offer us water. As I paid and was signing the receipt the manager (who I mentioned earlier) was hovering over me and I could smell his breath and his body odor. It made my stomach turn. When I got home I decided it was time to eat the piece of cake I got. I opened the container and the smell of the cake was not good. I took 1 bite and couldn't even swallow it. I immediately spit it out and rinsed my mouth out with water.

Came in here after searching for 24 hour dining and avoiding Johnny V's like the plague. Staff was friendly and attentive, even at 3:00am on a Friday night. We were seated in a booth by the fish tank and our server came right over. I wanted a chocolate malt, and she made it sooo great. My whole table "helped" to devour it. The menu is extensive, offering all sorts of cuisines. I opted for a skillet, one person got the corned beef hash, one got biscuits and gravy and one got a gyro sandwich (or wrap... i don't remember for obvious reasons). One member of our party promptly fell asleep upon food delivery, so I'll never know how the biscuits and gravy were, but they looked nasty, and lacked the eggs that were supposed to come with it. My skillet was seriously awesome - and I ate every bite. The gyro wrapwich and CBH were also devoured. Our server was very friendly and quick, and the experience was actually decent! I would absolutely recommend this place for drunkchies.

It's a just like any diner... little bit over priced, lots of food, ok food. Let's face it, you go here for quantity and when everything else is closed. The crowd seems older people late 50s and older. This place just reminded me of any diner in Florida. Bland food with awkward music and TV shows on.

  • Cassie K.

Best "pro" about this place is that they serve food fast. Though I like that.... I can't help but wonder why it comes out so quickly... many chefs or lots of microwaving? Anyhow, go here for breakfast because it'll most likely be fresh and quick. Very good prices. Looks clean, but feels a little grubby. For instance, the plastic covered menus and even the backs of the chairs themselves seem a bit sticky/grubby. I made sure to use the restroom and wash my hands right after I ordered/right before I ate. It's Stallis... what do you expect? I wouldn't come here for any special date, but maybe come for breakfast again. The rest of the food is "eh."

Pegasus is pretty standard as far as family restaurants go. It is a casual environment with booths and tables. The menu is huge, with just anything you could want from a burger to a steak to spaghetti to various chicken dishes. The food itself is rather bland in my experience, at least for the most part. The soups are good. Service can be great or really spotty depending on who you get as your server.

Went there last night with the Miller Valley Amateur Radio Club (meetings every Tuesday 6:30 to 8:30 and then Pegasus afterwards). The management was very accommodating with our group (about 15 guys?), our server, Rosa, was very friendly and very prompt with taking our order. There was even a minor mix up where one of the club members ordered something and got what he ordered, but... I guess in his mind it was going to be different than it was. Instead of saying tough luck, you ordered it, Rosa immediately took it back and did a custom order for him. Definitely looking forward to going back. The prices are very reasonable too!

i'll start this off by saying that i am semi-regular. i go there often enough to know certain things about this family style restaurant, but not often enough to be an expert. things that i do know are these: 1) The service is almost always prompt and plentiful. rarely is the waitress unavailable ... it does happen from time to time though as in any restaurant of this caliber. they aren't perfect, but they do come pretty darn close. 2) The prices are more than reasonable. they have breakfast, lunch and dinner specials every day with a children's selection and senior specials that are special prices. so everyone has something to choose from for their price point. 3) I have never had a bad meal there. i also have not heard any complaints about any meal from my guests. with the above being said, they simply have the best BBQ ribs that i have had. the bones actually have meat on them and they are cooked to be nearly fall of the bone. if you are tired of getting BBQ ribs without enough BBQ sauce to cover the entire slab or just enough to lightly coat the meat, this place should be tried. i get them every time i go there for either lunch for dinner. at $12 for a half rack and $16 for a full rack you just can't beat these ribs. and the BBQ sauce is nice and tangy and slathered/smothered. i can tell you that they beat the ribs from TGIFs, Applebee's or Chili's, hands down! i happened to go there with my mother and sister today and they ordered breakfast entrees for lunch. my sister said her eggs and pancake selection with hash browns. she noted that there was just enough to be filling without having any leftovers. my mother ordered the Denver omelete. if there was a problem she certainly would have told me since she does not mince words about that sort of thing. again, her plate was cleaned. so all-in-all a very satisfying experience. i will say one thing for the waitress and support staff: they kept the coffee flowing for my sister. my mother and i had the iced tea. the waitress asked if we wanted refills before we even finished our glasses. my mother likes a lot of ice in her iced tea ... i say this because the waitress even asked if she wanted more ice since little was left in her glass. now that is service!!! i have never been asked if i had enough ice in my iced tea. dessert was included with my ribs (along with a salad). they have a list of options, but i always get their tapioca pudding. as anyone knows ordering tapioca pudding at a family style restaurant can be hit or miss and more often than not a miss. this place makes their own and is sometimes out. it is fantastic. we did sit for a while after we were finished. no one made us feel as though we should move out or hurried us along. we were allowed to talk. even still, the waitress came back even after we gave her the tip. in most restaurants this almost never happens ... kudos for that too! on other visits i have had the wedding veil soup. it is simply one of the best variations i have ever had. the decor is pretty basic for family style restaurants. if you can get a seat near the huge fish tanks near the front of the dining room, give it a try if you like watching fish ...lol. if you want to see the game or see what's on tv sit near the back by the counter. they do serve alcohol. my rating is for the style of restaurant, quality service and food. of course it is not Sanford's or Coerper's so don't expect that. if you are looking for a nice family style restaurant this is the place to go.

Pegasus is very good within the class of family restaurants. It excels in several areas and has no significant weaknesses. The menu selection is a little larger than that of a typical family restaurant. In addition to the regular menu items, there are about a dozen specials that either supplement the main menu or are reduced price versions of the standing menu items. Speaking of reduced prices, there is a Senior Citizens menu containing about three dozen of the assorted dinners from the main menu, offered at a discount to seniors. That's it. Just a lower price for the seniors on those dinners. Dinner comprises soup or salad, bread basket, entree with choice of potato, and choice of beer, wine or dessert. My companion ordered the tilapia dinner ($11.95) and I ordered the smoked pork chops with sauerkraut ($8.95), a dish similar to the German Kassler Rippchen. Salad: The salad was very fresh, but otherwise completely mediocre, from the lettuce on down to the salad dressing. Soup: The soup of the day was home made, a tortilla chicken soup. It was not bad, but also not exceptional. Entrees: The tilapia and the smoked pork were pretty good, both in quality and quantity. Quantities served are huge. Flavor was ok, not bad at all. Vegetables: These were fresh and cooked just right. Properly cooked vegetables is one of the little things that, for me, makes a restaurant stand out. Fresh bread is the other, and the Greek bread in the basket at Pegasus was fresh, fresh, fresh. Potato: Pegasus serves about 10 different kinds of potato dish options, including a lightly herbed potato pancake, which I ordered, and which I enjoyed. The baked potato was ok, but mediocre. Choice of beer, wine or dessert: We both opted for the dessert, one blueberry pie and one German chocolate cake, each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The ice cream was excellent quality, one or two notches above that which is normally served in a family restaurant. The pie was pretty good, and my companion stated the the cake was excellent. Summarizing the food experience, several items were excellent, others were quite good, above average, and a few of the items were on the average to mediocre side. The quantity of food served is gigantic. We left half of our meal uneaten to save room for dessert. Price: As I have stated above, the bill for both of these dinners combined amounted to around $20. To see the standing menu, look up Pegasus on Facebook (Pegasus-Restaurant) menu: allmenus.com/wi/west-all… ... The online menu doesn't include their breakfast menu, which is extensive. Breakfast prices are also in the $8-$12 range, just like the dinners, although a basic egg-potato-toast breakfast might be less, say $5. Because Pegasus is open 24 hours, I presume that breakfast is available all day. Decor and ambience: The restaurant is a large, partitioned space. Numerous booths have outside views, but the interior booths are nice too. There is a counter area with half a dozen round seats. Overall, the restaurant looks cheery, clean and lively. I was surprised to find out that Pegasus is open 24 hours a day. How do they keep the restaurant so clean? Service: In general, the servers were friendly and competent. The busboys must team with them because our busboy took drink orders. We had a good experience with service during our visit. Parking: Pegasus has an auxiliary parking lot across the street, which augments the small dedicated lot surrounding the restaurant. In summary, Pegasus is a very good family restaurant. It is well run, the food is good, and meals are inexpensive. The ambience and service are also good. I highly recommend Pegasus Restaurant to visitors and local residents of West Allis.

I could just write "Vintage 'Stallis" and leave it at that. I could also tell you that on Father's Day at 11am the booth across from us had a giant woman in it who was wearing a shirt that said, "I'm not perfect, but I'm so close it's scary." She ordered a pina colada after her boyfriend ordered a Bud Light. But I'll tell you more... I've been here for breakfast twice and did take out for dinner once. Their menu is huge, and they serve a LOT of food. Breakfast specials are reasonably priced. We ordered the gyros plate for our dinner take out and ended up with so much food that we were able to have a whole entire meal again the next day. They love garnishes--the gyro plate came with feta cheese blocks, peppers, and olives. Their Greek salad is delicious (don't let the hot pink dressing scare you). The service is wonderful, too.

Instead of saying tough luck, you ordered it, Rosa immediately took it back and did a custom order for him. Definitely looking forward to going back. The prices are very reasonable too!
