I really like Noodles & Company. I have been to multiple locations and the food is always deliciously prepared, fast, and fills you up. This is a great place if you don't want a "drive thru" but still need fast service. If you are driving to this location, please remember that parking is horrible! You have to share the parking lot with Jimmy Johns so its always cramped.

I have no idea why they say that their customer is obsessed with their MAC & CHEESSE ... it tastes OK but seriously if you want the real deal, go to Out&Out Custard in Cedaburg ... the best place on earth for Mac & Cheese

Every time I go here there's less sauce on the noddles. Penne rosa means "red pasta" and I'm staring at a bowl that's pretty white. And extra sauce is now like a $3 charge.

The perfect stop for us before a Friday night show at the UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium. Almost every selection is very good, plus you can't beat the affordable prices. My favorite? Pesto Cavatappi! Oh, and they have beer and wine.

If you want the best bang for your buck, Noodles and Co is it. I mean, under $6 for a filling pasta entree that tastes pretty good? I'm not going to complain. With a protein/meat, your total still only comes to ~$8. Throw in a drink or cookie and you're under $10. See where I'm going here? This particular location is only about a mile from the boyfriend's place, which means even if I were feeling guilty, I would bike or walk. (Guiltless carbs FTW). I'm not sure how service normally is. We stopped by en route to the beach and it was pretty much empty. I tried the pesto cavatappi with Parmesan crusted chicken. I wasn't the biggest fan of the chicken. It kind of tasted like chicken nugget meat but everything else was a-okay. Get a snickerdoodle. You won't regret it.

For a quick service restaurant, this is as good as it gets! From the comments below, it seems some people won't give 5 stars for a "fast food restaurant" but I think you have to compare each restaurant against it's peers--you can't compare a McDonald's or Kopps to a Capital Grille or a Bartollota's restaurant (or Holiday Inn vs. the Ritz). That being said...Noodles is an extremely well run chain and this location is as good as it gets in quick service dining. I've probably been here over 50 times (or more) over that past 8 years. My order has been correct 100% of the time. Even when the place is packed, my food has arrived quicker than I could have put water in a pot and turned the stove on to boil the water. The staff has always been friendly and there has always been someone dedicated to cleaning the lobby. The food has always been above expectations--portions are great, prices are great, service has been great, and the restaurant is always clean! I can't think of many fast food restaurants (or businesses in general) that satisfy all of those criteria! AND...if you don't like what you ordered, they'll give you a different item instead--no questions asked...Not all restaurants will do that. The Snickerdoodle Cookies are great too! And they keep adding options. Lots of vegetarian choices as well!! Oh yeah...and you don't even have to clean up after yourself!! 5 stars for Noodles on Oakland--keep up the GREAT work!

So Noods is looking good after the renovation but smells like farm? Yes. It does... it is very strange. I live close to this Noods, so I come here at least monthly. Its quick and easy, the quality is ok (you get what you pay for). My favorites are the pesto cavatappi and pasta fresca. I just can't help but wonder what the farm smell in the door way is about.

If you can't decide on what to order, the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese is always a favorite of mine. Add a little hot sauce and you can thank me later.

Noodles and Co. is a great place to go when you are in a hurry and don't want all the grease of a your typical fast-food restaurant. I usually eat at Noodles and Co. About twice a month, and have never been disappointed with any aspect of the restaurant, parking is the only downfall to this noodles.

Fast and friendly service at this Noodles location. I always custom order my food and they are happy to substitute items. The dining area is clean and they have free wifi!

Yesterday I dined at N&C near UWM, free birthday noodle bowl coupon in hand. I'm kind of shy about getting free things, so I humbly walked to the register and asked if I could use it, and the smiling cashier said, "Sure! And Happy Birthday!" I said thanks and ordered a soft drink. She said, would you like some soup or salad with that for $1 more? I was pleased that I still got a discount on the add-on even though I didn't actually pay for my noodle bowl (pad thai with tofu), so I picked the curry. I love that they give you a free noodle bowl with a meat or tofu add-on for the complimentary bowl. So many places would just give you the value of the bowl, insuring you paid for the add-on, and they certainly would not treat it as if you'd paid for an entree and give you a discounted side item. Anyway, I sat down to wait, kind of lost track of time, but knew it was taking a bit longer than I would expect. At one point someone brought another entree past me and asked me if that was mine. Nope. But I was in no hurry. So when my meal arrived after about :18 the young woman brought with it a coupon for another free noodle bowl for my inconvenience, since they were slow to deliver. I was pleased. She then asked if I would like a fresh cookie or rice crispie treat... My Nordic guilt almost led me to say, "no thanks." But my soul uttered, "yes, please." Make that a chocolate chunk cookie. I should say that the pad thai and curry soup were wonderful, but the former did need two packets of soy sauce to bring the flavor forward. The cookie was soft and sublimely wonderful. I left satiated, celebrated, and smiling. I've got another free bowl in my near future where I can celebrate my birthday again. Happy Birthday indeed!

This was my go-to place when I lived just two blocks away. And it wasn't for the convenience, it's since they are always very friendly, nice, and the place is clean. It looks similar to the other Noodles you know yet you will be treated very well.

Well I have been to this location multiple times and I quite like it. Yes of course it is indeed like every other noodles on the planet but it is nice. I especially like the placement of the outdoor seating which is right on oakland. It is really nice to sit out there during the summer (aside from bees) and just watch everybody enjoying their day. It makes the day a little nicer. The parking lot is a mess however, because they share it with Jimmy Johns and it is just so darn narrow! I can't believe there haven't been more fender-benders here. Back to the review, it is a standard college student staff trying to make a living so they arn't the most cheerful bunch in the world but it is understandable. There is one thing I noticed though that it is faster to order a pick up there than actually go there and order your food. Yes I literally timed it out once between ordering at home, leaving and getting there to have my food waiting for me. Just so everyone knows it was done at the busiest time of the day both times. It was great! Anyways, Noodles is always a great place to go for a quick bite to eat or a nice lunch to just relax and such. I suggest trying their Penne Rosa ANYDAY!

I'm bumping this place up an extra star. I still have issues with the Pad Thai, but at least their other stuff was decent. Their chicken's still kinda dry though.

My co-workers and I make a trip to Noodles at least once a week for lunch. The service is great, the food is delicious, and you can get in and out quickly. I highly recommend the House Marinara, WI Mac and Cheese, Mushroom Stroganoff, and Penne.

  • Mike W.

Ok the first review for this reads like an advertisement. Noodles is not a 4 star restaurant. It is good and quick and the service is usually nice, but come on 4 stars!? Noodles is fast food, and as far as fast food goes it is probably one of the better choices. If 4 stars means "I really liked it" then I'd give it a 3 star as in "I liked it".

In the world of fast food options, Noodles & Company is a welcome sight. In the last few years, the Noodles evolution, or explosion more aptly, has filled Southeastern Wisconsin with their food. Not too long ago, there were too locations; one in Denver, Colorado, the other in a brick corner building on State Street in Madison. This location, a former McDonalds that sat empty for quite a period before Noodles invested in the property is in close proximity to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and its a perfect lunchtime spot. Armed with your class notes and that hefty biology textbook, you can swagger on into the inviting interior and eat without the pressure or vapid ambience of most other chains. There are more than ten noodle dish choices and include the option to add tofu or chicken to your dish. Pasta Fresca, Marinara and the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese remain popular, but new dishes always sprout up. If you tire of Noodles, this location is greatly enhanced by its closeness to two other great Milwaukee "fast casual" chains; Jimmy Johns and Qdoba. Finally, fast food that is thoughtful -- now only if it makes it to the West Coast and San Francisco where foodies reign.

Obviously a chain N&C, but the service is great, and Dan, the manager, makes sure there is a smooth ship sailing on Oakland. They go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied with your meal. I have never seen this restaurant anything but squeeky clean.

  • Helena R.

Really sick of them screwing up my orders. I have limited time to run and grab food on my lunch break, so when my order is messed up, I'm stuck with it if I forget to double check it. How the heck do you misunderstand potstickers for cheesy bread?? Cheesy bread isn't even on the menu! Besides that, it was soggy and salty. Stick to noodles, you can barely get that right half the time. This location is awful :(

  • Adina K.

I've been to this location many times and it has never disappointed. The space is always clean and the workers are always nice. I tried a new dish and a soup and the Japanese Pan Noodles were way beyond my expectations along with the chicken noodle soup I ordered. I usually have a good experience and this time wasn't any different.

I hadn't been to a Noodles and Co in quite a while. If you're on their email list they send you a coupon for a free entree when it's your birthday. Mine is in a few days, I got the email, and I was hungry, so I figured I'd take a walk over to Noodles & Co. The woman that took my order was really great. I watched her deal with the people in front of me who were somewhat rude and seemed to have a propensity for asking less than intelligent questions. She handled them with a smile so it was no surprise that she was cool with me. Please note that it's not just because she's cute and pierced and probably tattooed, and I like that, but she was also a good order taker, upbeat, and friendly. Penne Rosa I remember being one of my favorites before I realized that a low carb diet was a good thing for me. It's penne with a somewhat creamy red sauce, tomato, spinach that's wilted from the heat of the pasta, and mushrooms. It was a little spicier than I remember it, not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't quite as hot in temperature as I would have liked. The spinach hadn't wilted, you see, and it didn't taste quite like I remember it, but it was still pretty good. Overall, it was a good experience, and I will be back next time I feel like loading up on the carbs. Thank you to the cute pierced possibly tattooed girl for making my night a little bit better. Two of the four stars are due to her.

Had the Pasta Fresca last night and got food poisoning! I was already starting to feel bad when I started eating it. It was the worst vomiting, nausea, etc. I've had in my life. I've been to Noodles & Company plenty of times before and this has never happened, so it may be a one-time thing, but just be careful.

I actually enjoyed this place more than I thought I would... I was expecting some dirty fast food environment where you eat out of a paper bowl and clear your own table... I was pleasantly surprised... the place was clean, the employees were mildly friendly, and I didnt have to clean up after myself... Now it is certainly not fine dining but it is a step up from what you may think... The food was good as well... I chose good, not because I lack descriptive word choice, but because thats what it was. It wasnt amazing, it wasnt gross, it was good.... I had the mac and cheese with parmesan crusted chicken and a small tomato basil soup... the flavor of all these items was spot on... and the fact that they have an endless supply of sriracha bumped them from a potential 3.5 to a 4.... I love the stuff... My girl had the indonesian peanut saute'... i was jealous, this dish was killer... I am definitely getting it next time i roll through... i say check it out!

If you need a change from the usual fast food fare this is your place. The menu is divided into three sections American, Mediterranean, and Asian. I signed up for the email deals. The deal I got was buy I get I free you I love this place, the service is fast. Noodles and Company isn't upscale cuisine, but it's great for groups, or a quick bite,it's inexpensive, fun, tasty, has a variety of foods for picky eaters. Order at the counter so you don't have to shell out extra for a tip (though if you're feeling generous, I'm sure you could leave one for the runners). This location also has a patio. I always order the Wisconsin Mac and Cheese. You can get deals if you sign up on their website. You can order from the three options and the two bowl sizes. They also sell beer and wine along with the usual soda.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
