We were desperate for something to eat, after driving around looking for something other than fast food,we settled here. The food was ok, the wine was ok, but the beers were good. I was there with my wife and teenage kids. We were the youngest and oldest people there. I am guessing the place is rocking on the weekend.

A kind & friendly staff, as well as a shortened menu and separate page for the specialty beers on draft. Ordered the walleye fish fry with extras on the side. The food was excellent!! Extremely reasonable with the prices and DEFINITELY worth a visit. The buildings' architecture from 1850 is definitely something to see.

service was great and the bar was cool the food was meh we had the pizza and it was decent the wings were crap the food was cheap and the beer list is advertised as large there are only 20 beers on it and most are normal beers you can get anywhere like miller spotted cow guiness etc i had a guiness and it was old and skunky

I was web surfing and came across Milwaukee's oldest bar from like 1847. I was going to get some bar food for lunch but when I got there they had 27 tappers so I started sampling the beer and after three I was not hungry any more. I first met Jenny the bartender who is super friendly and has extensive knowledge of the place after working there for 16 years. The locals were very inviting and friendly which was cool, nothing stuffy here and just real down to earth people who act like your are part of their circle after first meeting them. The place is not the actual 1850s bar of the original but it is very well put together to resemble a very old bar which is really believable to the naked eye. I felt like I was in a time warp in a really cool place from the turn of the last century. See my pictures. There are working cash registers from 1910 and grand big wood bars on the wall. The oldest working fridge I have ever seen. Old time pictures of the place on the walls were very cool. A bank teller window at the front door from the old days. Cool copper ceiling from a era long gone. This was like a working bar museum wit all its coolness. I started with the Hofbrau dunkel, then three floyds bend the knee and finally dogfish head-Indian brown ale. I did like the beers and never got to the food, maybe next time. This is a very cool old time bar with tons of character and I would defiantly go back. Jenny was great and the locals make you feel right at home. This is truly a Milwaukee gem and I'm glad I came across it.

Old place that has some charms. Great draft beer selection. Right next to the airport. I guess when they but the place in the 1800's air traffic was pretty light. ;-)

Cool HUGE bar. Looks like it could be a cool place, but bartenders have no personality. Nice enough...but they don't seem to know much about beer.

The oldest bar in Milwaukee this place is small yet cozy and a nice place to chill. the landscape has changed undoubtely over the years as an airport is right next to it but this being Milwaukee and not Chicago I hardly noticed if anything was landing this night. A top notch bar and as good as you will find in Milwaukee

If you grew up on the south side like I did, you probably came here on your 21st birthday. You might even have tossed up all those shot in the bathroom. You might have done this before you stumbled next store. You might have... That was twenty years ago. I've grown up (quiet you), but the Landmark is still much as it was. I really missed this place while the owner closed it to focus on his other bar "The Terminal," but I'm glad it's back open. The Terminal was nice, but it was waaaay too big. Gone are the crowds of airport employees. Gone are the lines out the door on Wednesday nights. Gone are the dance floor, disco ball, and second dartboard. They still have about 50 beers on tap. Some unique, some not. They still have my favorite bar pizza and other deep fried victuals. What I love most about this place is the building itself. The owner has a eye for historical preservation. This place could double as a pre-Prohibition era tavern movie set. All you need are bartenders in white shirts and aprons. Nickle beers would help too.

My first time but I really liked this place! Really old bar and fascinating architecture if you're into that sort of thing. But what I love is that it's such a neat place without the stuffiness and inflated prices of other trendy bars. We had a sassy friendly bartender serving us $2 rails, $2.75 tappers, and a $6 pizza. Good times, good people, beautiful bar, and it didn't break the bank! I'd be a regular if this place were closer to home. It's perfect for a traveler staying at an airport hotel.

This bar has a decent beer list, but the bartender knew nothing about beer. Here's how it went down: Me: Do you have a Dunkel? Her: (confused look on her face) No. Me: OK. Do you have anything really malty? Her: We have IPAs. Me: That would be the opposite of malty. Her: (roll of the eyes) My friend: I don't know a lot of the beers on this menu, but they have Oberon. Me: May I have an Oberon please? Part of this is my fault as I have low vision and couldn't read the small font on the menu, at least not as dark as i was in there. Of course, I like it a little darker in bars so that wasn't a bad thing. The bad thing is that I was at a bar with a decently sized beer list, and the bartender seemingly knows barely anything about beer. This was a bummer. To further the bummer, she rolled her eyes at me when I pointed out her error. Maybe a bar in a city that isn't full of people who love good beer can get away with having a bartender that knows nothing about beer, but not in this town. On the plus side, it is a comfortable atmosphere, and they have a nice small patio.

Steak sandwich was a nice option and came at a good price point. Liked the shoulder cut of meat and it was tender and cooked perfectly. Also, the fries served on the side were fresh and perfectly salted. Had the wings and they were just average. Service wise the bartenders for the day side were "meh" but the evening staff was *much* friendlier and chatty. Didn't like the small TVs and uncomfortable bar stools. Still a safe place to get some eats and drinks on in the future.

I absolutely LOVE the character of this building. Beautiful. They have a lot of beers on draft, but nothing "light" currently. I have only been in for drinks, so can't review the food yet, but anytime I am in the neighborhood, this will be on my list of stops.

Yep. I love the Landmark. We're pretty much going steady. In fact we saw each other two times last week and didn't even bat an eyelash. I cannot speak for the food, I come for the beer list and the space. I love the building and I love that it's big enough to spread yourself out. Some places with nice beer lists are pretty cramped and small. This place has a nice beer hall feel; which personally I dig. There aren't many options that are airport adjacent... This is a great alternative to your usual downtown, East Side, and Bay View haunts.

Been coming here since 2004, always a great time. I used to do magic here quite a bit and now they won't give me silverware anymore due to the fact they somehow end up bent. Awesome pizza and bartenders, not to mention awesome building.

They say the Landmark is Milwaukee's oldest bar. I haven't researched that to make sure it's true. But it is a charming, historic building. It used to be a stagecoach stop back in the day. When the owner rehabbed it, he managed to keep a lot of the character. It's tastefully decorated with antiques that enhance the style of the building. They have classic cash registers which the bartender said are from 1910. They have a great beer list. There should be something there for even the biggest beer snob. Their food menu isn't huge. Your choices are pretty much typical bar food e.g. nachos and pizza. But the food has always been good. Staff is friendly and attentive. I also love the huge parking lot. This is definitely one of my favorite bars.

Decent tap list. Nothing out of the ordinary but some quality stuff (FFF, Founders). Cool vibe inside.

Walking into the Landmark 1850 Inn for the first time in almost 4 years, something just felt right. This was the only bar I drank in from the first minute of my 21st birthday to day it closed for renovations. Almost everything is exactly the same. The awkward elevated seating area is gone and they have reduced the number of taps from 50 to 27, but at the time of my visit they were serving Three Floyd's Moloko and Founders Breakfast Stout, so the quality of beer is still there. My friend and I each ordered a burger and some sour cream and chive fries and both went down great with a Founders Harvest ale. The only thing missing for me was a nice cigar, but that of course was not to be. I'm just happy to have my bar back.
