Excellent Pho, authentically prepared, very nourishing. My fiancé, a friend and I had a delicious meal. The the service was also superb. Update 11/1/13: I have now visited Juto several times, always to have more Pho, but also tried a few other things on the menu. The fries were outstanding! just as another reviewer mentioned. The pork belly skewers are unbelievable! I've never had anything like it. Wow! The spring rolls were the best i've had, and I have had a LOT of spring rolls. I will be going back again and again.

A quick comment about what some other reviewers have mentioned. - The decor is a bit different than anything I've been to, but I warmed up to it quickly. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The pool table is free and in really good condition. And if watching games is your thing, if you are here for the bar scene you will be pleased. - The staff made us feel at home, were polite, helpful and very friendly. Great service. Now about the food... This is the main reason my husband and I dined here. We had learned that the Pho here was traditionally prepared. This is significant because when broths are prepared this way, they are very beneficial for health. If your not familiar with the healing and health promoting properties of authentic bone broths do a little research. - This is very rare, to find a restaurant not only with great tasting food, but that it is also extremely good for you. Needless to say I was impressed by the quality of the soup and ingredients. It was delicious! And I feel great afterward, completely satisfied... for days. This is what food is supposed to be like. I also tried their cajun fries and they were fantastic. I was blown away by how delicious these fries were. And contrary to one other commenter, our fries came out very hot, crispy and steaming on the inside. My mouth is starting to water while writing this! ha! I will certainly be a frequent guest of Juto. Highly Recommend!

I'm a regular to this bar. I like it there because it's a very nice place to hang out. Most of the time it is not crowded like many bars near public market and it's very easy to find a parking spot near by. The pool table is part of the reasons why I'm there too. It's in much better condition in most bars in Milwaukee and it's free! Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is not spectacular but good enough. Although the wait for food could be shorter.

I've heard great things about the restaurant and after reading reviews I wish I could say the same thing. Unfortunately, I've tried three times to go and have been successful all three times!! All three times were during normal business weekday hours. Two of the times the building was locked and the third time the restaurant was open but no one was to be found ANYWHERE. My boyfriend and I called out a few times and no one answered but we heard clanging in the back as though someone was there. Eventually we just walked out. I've heard all good things about this place but I think their inconsistency is highly unprofessional and have given up trying to go there. I wonder how many other people this has happened to! Get it together...

We went there last night for the first time. They are very limited on their vegetarian options and were out of the only one that could be considered a meal (a quesadilla). The waitress told me they had a vegetarian meal but took it off the menu already. We had edamame, french fries, a spring roll, and sautéed mushrooms. Not much of a meal. We won't go back.

I realize the restaurant has only been open 5 days, but the "Now Open" signage made me think it was ready for customers. Unfortunately, it really wasn't. At all. We received no greeting when we arrived, and had to ask where we should sit, while the staff just stared at us. We were handed menus, but they were for dinner items that couldn't be ordered. Our drink order was taken, but wasn't delivered until after the lunch order was delivered. We waited over 20 minutes for a salad and a sandwich, in a restaurant with only one other table. We began to feel like we had crashed a private party, as both servers and the bartender delivered food and drink to this other table, while nothing was delivered to ours. The layout of the restaurant is quite different from its days as Il Mito. For one, there are flatscreen TVs around the perimeter of the ceiling, and a pool table thrown in the middle of the room. Instead of upscale and comfortable, the space feels downscale and confusing -- like every other business that relied on a pool table for ambience. Food portions were somewhat meager for the price, especially for the specialty fries -- which were served cold, thin and soggy. Sandwich and salad presentation was sloppy, like it was just thrown on a plate. For $20, we certainly could have done better in this neighborhood. Worst of all, we were still hungry when we left. The manager/owner introduced himself moments before we left, but it was too late for forgiveness. Apparently, Juto wants to establish itself as a destination for Asian tapas. Smart move in a neighborhood that has no Asian restaurants -- and an idea that has a lot of potential. Not so smart move: limiting the lunch menu to a handful of salads and sandwiches, when you're surrounded by office workers looking for an affordable, unique lunch within walking distance, and delivering such a substandard experience to people who are willing to give your concept a chance. Walking away, I had to wonder if Juto would remain open long enough for its sign to be installed. Right now, it's only known as "Now Open," and even that is disputable.

Me, and my two dinner companions, stopped over to Juto on Friday for some post-cocktail drinking (Great Lakes Distillery is across the street -- if you haven't been there, stop in for a tour and cocktails before going to Juto ^_~) victuals. Juto's small plate (appetizer) menu contains some serious winners... delectable! We also ordered the hot pot (a special menu offering to celebrate Chinese New Year); the quality of food and value were beyond expectations. I follow Juto's FaceBook, and they seem to be trying various interesting specials; thus far I saw/recall specials such as pho, oysters, and (my favorite, super tasty) Japanese shishito peppers (omgn0m :9)! If you haven't been to Juto yet, don't let the low-star ratings of some of the earlier reviews put you off from giving this place a try of your own. If they don't meet your expectations, that's fair, but I suspect there has been a learning curve while this place finds it's niche.

Been there twice. Confusing decor but I came there to eat, so not a big deal. Good service both times. First time was a bit hectic there but understandable since it was only a few days open. Not sure what mt saw, but had plenty of tables on both floors when I went there. Second time the sign was up and it was not as hectic, had a good experience. Food was really good both times, but the portions could use a lot of help, not filling at all. Overall good place to HANG OUT because of the relaxed atmosphere, cheap drinks, and pool table.

Went here this past weekend for a belated Valentine's Day dinner with my fiancee after hearing about it from one of my customers at my pt bar tending job. I was really surprised at how good it was and how reasonable the prices were. We ate in the bar area so we could look out onto the street and see what was happening. The menu was mostly small-plate which I didn't mind since I love appetizers and gave us the chance to sample a number of things at a small price. We had 5 things: the steak sushi which was my favorite, spring rolls, sesame chicken, sauteed mushrooms and Cajun fries; everything turned out great and each plate was anywhere from $5-$8. Service was good, attentive and knew not to bring out everything we ordered at once. We'll definitely be going back here either for a small bite or a full meal. P.S. they had free pool and large TVs so would be a really cool bar too!

My boyfriend and I came here on a Saturday night and was severely disappointed. One dish we had (the pork belly) and a drink were good. My boyfriend got the lobster spring roll, which was served without sauce. After asking about it, the waitress said the sauce was inside the roll, which it wasn't. After pointing out that the menu said all rolls came with a side sauce, we finally got some. Then, a couple bites in, my boyfriend bites into a large piece of lobster shell. I ordered the chicken satay. The sauce was good, but the chicken was so salty it was inedible. The noodles also had a strange texture. When we told the waitress our complaints, she said she would tell the chef. When our bill came, she had taken off the coke we ordered (which was the cheapest thing we had gotten) and seemed to think that was good enough. We talked to the bartender and asked for the manager. She said he was upstairs (wouldn't get him), but she would pass along the info. When told about the shell, she said that's the way the lobster comes. Really? I kind of figured it did, but I would think checking for shell before using it would be a priority! And when we mentioned the chicken, she said it was the marinade the chicken came in, and that she doesn't eat it herself for that reason! We got a voucher for a free meal, which we will not be using. Overall very disappointing.

Upon walking in the door there was no one there to greet and seat us! Instead the 2 servers that were there had to peeled their eyes away from the television only to glance in our direction and mumble "you can sit anywhere". Great start! We chose to sit next to the nicely white lit Christmas tree which I appreciated the ambiance it gave. After settling in, getting some water and looking around the place, yes, the set up is a bit confusing and the music was AWWWFUL. There was a couple closely playing a game of pool, groping eachother and whatnot while people are eating around them. Umm, kinda hard not to be distracted when people are bending over a pool table so close to your face. First we ordered the spring rolls then while waiting we ordered the steak sushi and the tuna tartare. All easy right?? The spring rolls took fooooorever!! When asked what the hold up was she told us that they were all coming out at once and rushed back to get them like she forgot about them! She came back with the spring rolls but not the other 2. We finished the spring rolls and by that time I was STARVING! Still waiting for the other 2 apps that were already suppose to be out, by this time we knew we were still going to be hungry after finishing. There was NOWAY we were going to put in another order and wait 45 minutes again! We settled the tab and went somewhere else. FAIL
