Entrepreneur seeking an affordable yet trendy setting in the heart of Milwaukee??? The Hudson Business Lounge is the place to be! So many companies within walking distance to introduce yourself to and potentially collaborate. They have a concierge service for meetings and EVERY SINGLE PERSON has a smile and will bend over backwards to make you feel good. Great investment on my business' part. pointfall.com

Not the best place if you need to collaborate and don't want to pay through the nose for a 'meeting room'. Expectations of library quiet in all of the common areas (unless someone has reserved them, or there is an impromptu lunch party, or anything else the management thinks is more important than you) do not mesh with what I consider to be normal business processes for a group space. Expensive, inflexible, and nearly empty most of the time. Perhaps new management would help.

Had an event here for W Girls and arrived a little late with busy parking. The bartender/server was very nice and before she showed me the conference room offered to get me some wine because I was late and all the other members had wine. I of course accepted and it was kind of her to offer before showing me the way. I love the space there are many conference/meeting rooms and they have a large selection of snacks and a full bar. It was a bit stuffy in the meeting room but I think because it was an especially warm day.

This place is great. I came here with my girlfriend on a Saturday so that we could each get some work done. Normally, we end up going to a coffee shop around the area, but I normally get distracted by the louder music and conversations. My experience at Hudson was exceptional. It was quiet enough that I could focus on my work, even though the place was pretty packed. Normally, I prefer a library, but since this place is within walking distance, and has drinks (good beer on draft, wine, cocktails, and a full coffee bar), it's hard to pass up.

As a work-from-homer I was hoping this place would be the key to getting out of the house during the day and feeling "social." Unfortunately, the atmosphere just didn't work for me. The lighting is pretty dark, and I found that there were usually large groups of people simultaneously talking on the phone which was distracting. Everyone that I spoke with seemed pretty nice but overall I realized that I prefer the work environment of a coffee shop better so ultimately terminated my membership.

Had a great experience here! The interior is classy yet comfortable. They have great craft beer selections and wine as well! Kitchen closes at 7pm.

A really great place for people who are maybe doing startups or just need a business space to work or meet. Simple menu, bakery (day old is half price...I am just saying) coffee drinks or wine. Really mellow alone, with clients or friends. Walking distance to everything Third Ward! Hard parking but that's the nature of the beast downtown or Third Ward.

If only corporate offices were as smooth and comfortable as the Hudson Business Lounge, a lot more people would be happy about their jobs. Glassdoor.com ratings would go up. Political knives might become dull (though remember that a dull knife can be less safe than a sharp one!). I occasionally visit friends in Milwaukee, and sometimes I go early to do some work in cafes. But nowhere is finer than Hudson. It's like working at home without working at home, if you know what I mean. My gripe about working at home is that it's isolating, it's hard to separate work from home life (work can creep and take over), and it can be easy to get distracted. The fact that they have an espresso bar here and a full alcohol bar is perfect, even for bringing in a client for a relaxed discussion. They have a choice of very comfy seats, tables, or hanging out at the bar. They even have a fireplace. I don't know much about Milwaukee, but the location seems great too. I don't know of anything like this place in Chicago, where there is a space that is accessible to non-members. We do have collaborative workspaces like 1871, but it's a minimum of $300 per month to join, or $200 if you only go once per week. Highly recommended.

If you need a place to work from when on the go, they rent space. You can avoid meetings at the mermaid. A bit more professional for us consultants. And....they have beer, wine and coffee. Yay. Went here last night for a nitecap with wifey. Pretty empty and quiet but it's all good. Had the place to ourselves. Friendly staff and good vibe.

I came to work there, and the space is very cool, there is always some place to get down to business. Had one of my best client meetings there ever with an architect from Chicago that couldn't believe it and couldn't stop taking pictures. The service and concierge put it over the top. The food and bar are such a bonus. Chef Jenny amazes me with what she puts out of the kitchen. Fresh from scratch soups will blow you away. Sandwich specials are brilliant! Work for awhile, grab a bite to eat or coffee, but stay late for the wine, cocktails and craft beers. A great atmosphere to chill. I likey.

Every coffee shop needs to look at this place and take notes! Plugs strategically placed, ample tables and chairs, a looooong bar to sit and drink. Cozy but also accessible if you need to get work done. Drinks were very good and was very happy to see they have almond milk not just soy. Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 -Super friendly Location: 5/5 - Can someone open one up in Indy?!

With a burgeoning group of tech professionals, business owners, start-ups, etc., the Hudson is just what MKE needed. For those not familiar, the Hudson is a co-working space/office space for working folks with non-traditional office situations. Maybe you're like me and you work from home! Maybe you run a couple restaurants but haven't the space to conduct meetings in any of those said restaurants. Maybe you work from home and you have kids and they don't let you get anything done and they pull on your pant leg and scream for cookies all the time. Maybe you need a professional space to conduct presentations... you get the idea. So, the Hudson: become a member, or don't. Different levels/tiers of membership are available at the Hudson, but you needn't be a member to enjoy their coffee bar/bar bar, rustic decor, cozy fireplace and open concept 'receiving' area. Go, order a thing, sit in a comfy chair, watch the snow fall outside and work it from the comfort of the common area. That said, membership at a very basic level seems pretty inexpensive, and you're afforded use of their conference rooms, internet, other office-y type capabilities, etc. From there, you can "level up" should you so choose. (More info on pricing/tiers of membership/benefits of said tiered memberships available here: hudson-business-lounge.c… ) Parking the Ward seriously sucks, so if you're at a metered spot you'll need to plug that -ish every two hours. (Their site boasts that the Hudson has "tons of easy parking," and while there are in fact two structures about two blocks away in opposite directions, that parking is not free, and street parking certainly isn't easy.) Rachel recommends: That you check this place out. Networking events, and a great space that's centrally located just south of downtown, a nice staff and a professional/comfortable vibe make the Hudson a great spot to get some work done. Get 'er done.

This is a great place to get work done, or catch up on your reading. The staff are friendly, and courteous. The atmosphere and music is great unless Alex is playing her 90's mix. Jk.

First of all, this is not just a coffee and tea lounge. Hudson offers small business owners and start-ups a place to have actual office space without having to commit to large square-footage and large lease payments. You can rent a desk and a share in a common area for a couple of hundred per month or less! Yet, you'd still have access to rent out conference rooms or other facilities depending on your need. There are small offices, large offices, conference rooms, video conference rooms, and again a large common area with several "drop-in" cubes, all of which are furnished with lighting, chairs, desks, and phone and data connections. As an added bonus, there is an espresso lounge/wine bar connected to the facility that offers coffee, beer, wine, assorted baked goods and breakfast items. The lounge is open 6AM-11PM. Want to have a more professional presence, but you can't afford large office space yet, go visit the friendly staff at Hudson. THEY ARE OPEN FOR BUSINESS NOW!!

The Hudson is a great idea and something Milwaukee needs! It's the perfect setting for business professionals to work and collaborate. I really like the open concept working space. It seems to encourage interaction and the community "feel." Also the amenities they offer are very beneficial with adding to the working environment. They have a great coffee shop and menu. Their sandwiches and salads are delicious! Also a little glass of wine never hurts to get those creative juices flowing! The one downfall is parking. It is a tad inconvenient finding parking but it always seems to work out in the end! It is also a safe environment with having to swipe your membership card when you enter. I feel totally comfortable leaving my computer at my desk if I need to run outside. Overall, totally worth the membership!

I worked at The Hudson for months but due to various issues I decided to stop working out of the space. I'm told these issues have been resolved but I do not plan to go back.

I am spending my day walking around the area and popped in hear for a quick snack. It is clean and relaxing and the cafe manager was extremely friendly and helpful. My brisket sandwich is also a delight. Obviously, I highly recommend this place.

Stopped in here for coffee while I was walking around in the Third Ward. Really classy place, great decor. The latte was good too! Glad Milwaukee has a place like this! I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

Rick R. summed it all up very well, so I won't repeat everything he said. I stopped by Hudson tonight to check it out. While a man was noticeably working away in the business lounge area, the bar space was pretty cozy and relaxed. There were only a few patrons at the bar, and the bartender assisted us right away. We opted for coffee, and he served us up some delicious lattes in a manner of minutes at around $4/ea. As a late night coffee lover, I'm thrilled that the bar area is open until 11pm on weeknights. Neat space and neat concept in a great location - I'll be back for sure.

One of the best places in Milwaukee to work, meet, mingle with other entrepreneurs. Awesome for meetings, events, etc. The Coffee shop by day turns to a great place to relax with a glass of nice wine or craft beer when the working day is done. Awesome employee's, and a great supporter of #SMCMKE

Enjoy every time I go here. It is a great place to get a quick drink (coffee, soda or beer) and get on to the internet. Love the atmosphere, the windows looking on to the street. The comfort of chilling at homelike, but being out and about.
