Best Donut Shop Ever!!! The variety of unique, custom donuts here is amazing. The sweet family that runs the shop really personalizes their products and really makes the experience of coming into their shop special ever time I have been there. You won't find a better tasting, homemade donuts from scratch anywhere in the United States. The donuts are fresh, toppings and fillings are generous, and they are always well stocked.

What a gem. Was looking for a bakery or something for breakfast and saw this place and walked in. There are soooooo many different types of donuts and so many flavors! I was in donut heaven! And they tasted so good and were so cheap. I got 3 donuts for a little over $3. Must return here!

My favorite donut shop ever! The donuts are always fresh and delicious, and the lady checking us out gave us free donut holes on multiple visits. They're open late which is amazing when you work second or third shift!

For the delicious selection, super friendly customer service, and free donut holes with every order so far, there's no reason to go anywhere else. My daughters and I try to go every other weekend to pick out our favorites.

My wife's sweet tooth was acting up last night, and she suggested donuts but not Dunkin's (sigh....). So I came here out of default, since it was seven and most places were closed. I was pleasantly surprised. Back in the day, these donuts had a nasty aftertaste. Now they're soft, tasty and delicious. I ordered a half dozen, and the kind lady at the counter gave me an extra sugar twist, so I guess that makes it a bakers half-dozen. Anyone who gives me free donuts is #1 in my book. At close to 8PM, they were bringing out trays of fresh, straight out the oven donuts. The lady was also nice enough to put the chocolate covered chocolate cake donut on top of the bag, since it was still warm and the frosting hasn't settled. Extra points for that, I would have hated if chocolate frosting was all over the other donuts. Something about warm donuts makes you want to dig in, and I did! Right in the car, I picked up that sugar twist and it was so warm that when I put it up to my mouth, it broke in half. Dammit, sugar all over my black car seats! Normally I'd be mad, but the donut was so good I soon forgot. Props for having more than four different jelly donuts. The cherry jelly filled was quite good. If they could make a jelly filled crueller like the Dunkin Sticks that Dunkin's used to have, I'd be back every weekend. There were also pastries like filled Danish and turnovers, as well as ice cream for sale. I'll have to go back to try some other things and explore the menu some more, but for now, the donuts caught my eye. That's a good thing!

Place has been around a while and you can tell but does not mean it's gross and not worth coming to. Donuts are fresh coffee is good and hot. Has a group of usual that are very friendly.

I remember going here once a few Milwaukee trips back. While it wasn't mind blowing, it was a nice change of pace from Dunkin' Donuts. Better than DD, as far as donuts go. And it is a plus that unlike some places I've been to where donuts might taste better(i.e. local bakeries(and usually equivalent in price), or the 'gourmet donut'(but also more expensive, as well) places of the world like Donut Vault, Glazed and Infused, etc.), they are cheap and open 24/7. The fact it beats DD quality, is good enough for me. And I hate that at most DD locations, they just truck the donuts to them, instead of baking them on site. There was one donut flavor(sour ___), that I actually really liked here. Feeling stupid I forgot the second word for that donut flavor, but ah well. Nice to see some local chains in some parts of the country did survive the nationwide expansion of DD, though. Can't comment on the bathroom(lol), since I didn't use it. TBQH though, if a place like this was old school and mostly unrenovated over decades, I wouldn't be expecting the greatest quality bathroom anyway.

Stopped in about 11:30 pm to pick up a couple of dozen doughnuts for my wife to take to work the next morning. The (owner?) was quite gregarious, and with a big smile on his face. I told him what I wanted and as I waited, he offered me a large cinnamon bun to have, on the house, while I waited. He also changed my order into two "bakers dozen" boxes. The bun I had was delicious. My wife said her co-workers raved about the treat the next morning. I'll definitely stop in again.

Best doughnuts ever! So much to choose from and always super fresh. On one lucky visit, the filling was still warm - yum! And they don't skimp on the filling. Don't you hate it when you bite into a filled doughnut and - nothing?! Two bites? Not at this Honeydip; filled doughnuts actually have filling. The doughnuts are a good size too. I bring treats in often for work, and I always buy from here. Way better than Dunkin, and more variety. And they are never out of anything, whereas at Dunkin, it seems they are always out of what you want. This Honeydip is family owned, and every time I go, it's the same lady working, and she always remembers me. And from what I've seen, she remembers everbody, and seems to have a lot of regulars. She always throws in freebies too, like an extra doughnut or a handful of doughnut holes. Made me a free iced coffee once because I told her I was bringing treats to work for my birthday. Just a nice, well-run business with friendly service and excellent quality. Highly recommended!

Worth stopping in, solid selection. I've always gotten good fresh doughnuts from this location but I do go more towards the morning hours.

I would give it a 3 and a half it doesn't warrant 4 stars from me. I was driving in the area and saw it tucked into a strip mall next to a gyro joint. I stopped in after looking next door at the gyro place and watching the workers dancing with mops and singing badly. Anyway, its 24 hours it looks like a diner and the donuts were fresh. The owners were really nice and helpful. I love glazed sticks and the one's that they served were excellent. Some of them at other places are way to sweet! This one was right on time! I think that the prices are comparable to dunkin donuts or krispy kreme. Then again who cares about prices when it comes to frickin donuts? I wouldnt make a extra trip to the far south side to go. If i was on that side of town i would stop in again.

24 hour donut fix. These were once Milwaukee icons often with cool neon orange signs - the very typical Milwaukee sort of chain that made it hard for that mega chain so famous in New York, Boston, and Chicago - Dunkin to bust into the stubborn Milwaukee zeitgeist. Hey dere, this is Mil-wauk-ee and we got our own stuff! Well, not much has changed except now they have a grill and sell other foods. The inside of this place is awesome. It could be a set for a movie by Jim Jarmusch. Really, I almost expected Bill Murray to come and pour coffee. Vintage and cool. The donuts? Well, I like the apple fritters. That is about it. Ok donuts. Ok place. Sort of friendly servers. Ok coffee. Hey, this is Milwaukee... change is bad. So, Honey Dip is here to stay! I didn't go in the bathroom!

So you know when you have a craving for a donut and you hit up your local DD... to find that at 8 pm, the donuts are old and stale? Well... then you should hit up Honey Dip!! All the different types we tried were YUMMY!! **Open 24 Hours!** We were watching Food TV, and saw some show talking about fresh donut... we looked at each other and knew that we were thinking the same thing! We wanted a fresh donut!! At 7 pm, bakeries are closed... the local DD is a ten min drive and quality is unknown... the closest KK is west of Milwaukee, a good 40 mins away. Ugh. Google/Yelp to the rescue! We thought we'd give it a try. No reviews on Yelp, but a few on Google and all good! Popped the kiddos in the car... drove in the rain, 25 mins to a little bit of fried heaven! At the end of a strip mall, it looks very "hole in the wall". There is a counter and a few chairs... but that's all they need. Family run for 40 plus years (as told by the original owner's niece) in this location. They are open 24/7, but a lot of their night time hours is spent baking for gas stations, hotels & corporate orders. They had at least 25 options available when we showed up, but spots for at least 10 more, that they were making. They have the classics, with sprinkles, dipped, boston, jellies, etc., but they also had goodies like lemon jelly filled chocolate covered, or cherry filled chocolate covered, a pumpkin spice for the season and soooo many more! The price wasn't bad either, less than 8 bucks for a dozen. They also gave our little girl a couple of donut holes (which are also available) and tossed in a few extra donuts that she thought we would like. As we were leaving, she threw in a cinnamon roll that just had come out of the oven! So awesome! Will definately be going back... so glad they are always open!

Le sigh, my dears. A progression, then, of my conscious thoughts on HoneyDip Donuts sequentially as they occurred in real time. Upon entering: Adorable! Wait. Dingy, kind of, but still adorable. Look! A diner counter! Old school stools, and donuts and wow! 24 hours? Sandwiches? This place has clearly not been touched by the inexorable march of time. Look! Donuts! After 3 minutes: Donuts! So many kinds! Whichever shall I choose? I should certainly not be having even a singular donut let alone more than that, so choose wisely a la Indiana Jones I must. Why am I thinking like Yoda? Sour cream? Cruellers? Raspberry filled? Boston Creme? ::panic, panic, panic:: After 5 minutes: Ahhhh... just give me the one with the chocolate and the sprinkles! Dang Luke, your donut looks way better than mine. Whatever. I haven't had a donut in forever. It smells kind of funny in here. I have to use the bathroom, and also, I would like to wash my hands. Eating a donut with the same hands I just used to rifle through thrift-tastic wares at Value Village just a few doors down without washing? Grody. After being given the key to the bathroom: No soap? Oh dear. Part of the impetus of me visiting HoneyDip in the first place was to wash my hands... the donut was secondary to my OCD about thrifting and handwashing, and also, I forgot my hand sanitizer. Oh dear oh dear oh dear... ::tickticktickticktick:: After investigating the men's bathroom: NO SOAP IN THIS ONE EITHER? What the french, my man? After asking the previously nice gentleman about the soap situation (as he was clearly annoyed with our inquiry regarding said soap): Okay, he says it's just tricky. I'll try again. Nope, no soap. Nada. ::tickticktickticktick:: AND NONE IN THE MEN'S EITHER. It's not tricky, it's just empty. Gross gross gross. Nothing quite like running across the street to the foulest smelling bathroom in the history of the universe at the gas station on 27th street near the Domes to really put a star rating in perspective. My donut wasn't even that good either... it was stale and somewhat flavorless and tasted like failure. Luke's was good, but mine wasn't, and honestly, who doesn't stock soap? Le sigh.

The donuts are so good and the owner's are really nice. The double chocolate and boston creme are to die for. They also have lots of variety and several kinds of donut holes. There's less guilt with the donut holes, right? Well, that's my theory.

Was near the airport & craving donuts - read several great reviews of Honeydip and decided to stop by. They were SO sweet and friendly! The sour cream donut was THE BEST!! Yum! Check them out!
