Good homemade soups and a homey atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Rarely have to wait to be seated. Good service. Family friendly.

Never had a bad meal here. Wait staff is friendly, attentive and quick, and food is fresh and tasty. The kids love the pancakes and waffles, so we visit a lot for breakfast. Nothing exotic or haute cuisine, but comfort food is wonderful. Great family place!

The OWNERS of the Glen Cafe are usually " cold and unfiendly " to their guests. (What a Shame!) Although the prices are very reasonable the food is only "OK" and background music frequently reminds me of dining in a sernior citizens nursing home. Many improvements could be made.

Tucked back in Glendale, Glen Cafe is an unassuming place for a fine tuned blue plate special. Lately I've turned my back on high-calories offerings. Difficult to do when most Wisconsin lunches are served with heaping helpings of Butter, cream, and cheese. I've become a regular at the Glen for their turkey burger alone. Lower in fat and calories than a typical beef patty, they cook the meaty helping while keeping the juices in. I've attempted many turkey burgers in my home kitchen, but they always end up on the dry end. Not sure what their secret is, but it helps me keep my diet in check. Plus, it runs only $5.00 with the side of chips. I've been to north shore businesses with snooty customer service. The Glen staff is very friendly and cordial to the regulars. Great for an eat-'n-run!

Came here for an afternoon snack and coffee. No too many things available, but had the key lime pie, and it was tasty. Very "diner" atmosphere, which I like.

Always a tasty and good meal with excellent service! I love taking my 2-year old here for waffles. They're perfect. I regularly go for breakfast and lunch, but haven't gone for dinner often. I'm told on great accord that their fried chicken is outstanding.

A friend and I were in the area and decided to try this small cafe. We entered and waited to be seated but there was no one at the hostess stand. And then here comes this sweet woman to seat us who appeared to be the server as well. We grabbed a booth against the wall. The restaurant can me described as a cute quaint place. They also have a larger TV by the bar area (for sports concerns). Although the bar area doesn't seem to be an actual bar. There also seems to be a quite older crowd and from what I'm guessing they are regulars. She came over to give us menu's everything was reasonably priced, cheaper of the cafe's I'm use to going to. I started off with the gumbo which was the soup of the day. It wasn't the worst I've ever had but I certainly wasn't the best I'd give it 3 out of 5. Then I followed by the swiss and mushroom burger. They didn't ask for a temperature but once I received the burger I understood why (one of those thin patties). I opted to substitute the chips for onion rings which were actually pretty good, cooked to perfection (they do charge 3.95 extra). My friend ordered the Reuben which she seemed pleased with and opted for the hash instead of the chips too. Overall it's worth a quick decent meal with a homely service.

Very small restaurant with a great local feel! Eggs Benedict were perfect; perfect! And the bacon, which was a separate side, was cooked well but not over, all in all a great place to stop when you're visiting from out of town. Get here early though as they fill up fast!! We'll be coming back before we head back to Vegas.

Nothing special. Came here for breakfast. Was disappointed looking for a skillet so I decided to get the Cafe omelet for a replacement. First off, they asked me what type of toast I wanted. I said Greek toast and they had no clue what that was so I settled for wheat. The Cafe omelet was ok. It wasn't nasty or anything but it didn't blow my mind. The toast was ok. The whole meal was something I could've made myself at home.

Stopped here for lunch today with a group of 4. Must have just missed the Yelper below me. Food was good. Prices were average. $7.50 isn't bad for a double mushroom n swiss burger, but they charge you an extra $2.50 for fries instead of chips. Place reminded of some more local cafes and sit downs back home. Nice decor, big tv in the front surrounded by bar stools, not overly crowded and somewhat of an older clientele. I'm sure I'll be back as I'll only be living 5 min away, but it'll probably be after I try other local food places first.

A good spot for a weekday lunch! This place was good - nothing special! But, I don't think you go there expecting mind-blowing food. It is a fantastic place to grab lunch. Nice selection on their menu and it is priced right. Quick and friendly staff, too. I had the tuna melt - and if I went back, I would definitely get this again.

My wife and I stopped at the Glen his morning for breakfast. It was excellent. A small restaurant in a strip mall, but nicely done and clean. We were greeted and seated immediately. Each of us had breakfast #3 -- two eggs, bacon, and toast. I included the American fries. Everything was great. Food was served quickly, and we were on our way. Great place. Highly recommended.

Big fan of the Glen, we are neighborhood people with young children and they are always accommodating and welcoming. I find the owners to be welcoming and friendly. The food is solid, we come almost exclusively for Breakfast but have had the occasional dinner or counter lunch and it's always been good. They employ great people and the coffee mugs are always full (a must at a breakfast place for me). I love that it's fresh homemade food, the decor could use an update but it doesn't affect the quality. Support local and check this place out, it's worth the trip.

This place is a bit hard to evaluate--depending very much what people are looking for. I can only chime in about breakfast, as I've not been here for any other meals. Here's my take: If you want an incredibly inexpensive place to get a decent breakfast: five stars! If you want food that is super-memorable because of delicious sourdough bread or unique omlettes: look elsewhere! Service is great, and there's plently of parking.

The Staff is excellent. I havent tried anything i didnt like. I love their matzoball soup. The crabcakes are surprisingly great. My only complaint is the portions could be bigger. But breakfast is great as well. I come here often.

I'm a huge fan of Glen Cafe. It's my go-to place and I love that it has a pretty cozy feel to this place. Price is pretty inexpensive and their food always hits the spot. The owner may be a little standoff-ish, but then again, I'm never really there to chat with him anyways. And I believe, on Tuesdays they have live jazz music which always makes the whole experience slightly better! :)
