This place is my local pub and love it! It has pool, pinball, great beer and booze selection. Prices are amazing, making it very easy to get blasted. They have events there sometimes, which makes it even more fun. And the people watching? Oh yeah, so much fun! This places proves existentialism is not dead ;-)

It pains me to say that I haven't been here in a couple months. The Gig is probably my favorite divey pool bar. The back room with the pools tables has a super laid back feel. There's couches and dart boards and even a window into the bar, so you can order more drinks or drop off your empties. I've always received good service, though if there are a lot of people, it can be a little slow. Not a problem with me though. Their prices are great and they have a good enough beer selection to get me through a few games of pool (multiple affordable Lakefront taps? I'm in). Downside? Its a total dive, but as long as you go in knowing that, you'll have a blast.

Cheap drinks. Divey, dark, hole-in-the wall. Located in the heart of Riverwest, this fine establishment does have plentiful seating (and a patio, weather permitting), great pool tables, and timely service. Even when this small bar is packed, you can order and receive your drink very quickly. There is live music/dj's on the weekend. Street parking is usually very easy near the Gig. And did I mention cheap drinks? Cheap pitchers. Cheap rails. Something is always on special here.

One of my favorite small bars. Cheap, great atmosphere, and dope music. They often have live music and their drink specials are insane. $2 micro brews? $1.50 domestics and rails? Craaaazy. I'll never stop coming here.

The Gig is always a go to for cheap drinks and pool, bartenders are super nice and friendly. Only gave 3 stars because it is dingy and not very well kept.

Cheap drinks - Check. Pool and darts - Check. Odd assorment of couches and tables - Check. Friendly locals - Check. This place has all the makings of a good bar to frequent. It's a step above the rest in regards to their sound system and music selection (the bartender usually has Pandora or something like it up.) I dig the Gig.

Makin' your way to the Gig today sure don't take a lot Farrah and Skip and some random people out back strokin' spot Minimally is how you pay..... Sometimes you wanna go Where like 3 people know your naaa-eee-ammee and you can buy a drink with chaaa-eee-aannge You wanna go where the food is free when the packers have a game You wanna go where the strangers aren't that laaamme.... This place is great. Shoot pool with neighborhood folks. Get some build-yer-own nachos across the street at the corner store, they don't give a shit if you carry them in, cuz' they don't serve food unless it's a bbq or something out on the (cool) fenced in patio. They should have more live music, being the "Gig" and all, but when they do it's usually decent and cover charge free. Shake for shots, it's a good way to meet fellow friendly drunks. Once, I saw a red-tailed hawk on a tree in the back. I told the 3 people at the bar and we all went outside to look at it. We ended up telling nature stories for a half hour. I didn't know any of them, really. They finally got rid of CSI pinball, which sucked really bad. That show sucks too. Stop watching that crap.

The gig's a great place to get a cheap drink. you meet a lot of interesting people here and the bartenders are really friendly.
